It looks like they are sitting back and watching. They tend to stay in the background when price is fluctuating, as their automated algorithms have to catch up to new level.
Not going through any roof until we see bigger investors get onboard. It will happen, but likely not until company news. The detectives on this board are amazing and keep digging up great news, but that is not going to bring in bigger investors which is needed for serious gains in SP.
Going to be an interesting day for those who are watching Level II action. Number of shorts at 9/30 will be reported later today. My guess is that it has to be lower than the 16M+ of 9/15. The fight to keep the SP down today should be epic.
Thanks for the info.
Enjoy your posts, but UK no longer in EU.
If any buyers show up, Yes. If volume stays non-existent, we will stay between 0.75-0.80
They must have felt a need to put positive spin on something going on with the company. They could also have been making some forward looking statements and felt the need to explain in order not to have any misunderstandings.
Never said it's better they don't hold cc's at all. I said unless you have events that need explaining, you don't hold them. How often have you seen a company hold CC's outside of earnings calls? It happens almost never. We had plenty of institutional investors and we did do earnings calls whenever we issued forward looking statements, but none other than that. I am not sure what CC's you would want the company to have. I think they are likely to hold one when they release the results to the public, if they are contemplating a buy out offer and events like that.
The reason most larger companies are holding quarterly CC's, is because when they report earnings, there's always issues that they feel they need to put a positive spin on. When you make a forward statement like most larger companies do when reporting, it is important to explain issues so as to not have any confusion that could lead to shareholder actions.
I was the CEO of a subsidiary of a publicly traded company. You might have a better insight into regulated corporate governance than I do, but unless you have a significant event to discuss that requires explanation to investors, you don't do CC's. Obtaining financing, acquisition of production facilities and DL are stepping stones that are self explanatory and requires no additional explanation. CC's are events that smaller companies with no significant corporate governance lawyers and management on staff should avoid. This is just my opinion as a former corporate lawyer and CEO. The less 'touch' management have with investors, the less likelihood there will be miscommunications and shareholder liability.
As there's no duty to hold quarterly CC's, it's not really an issue.
It seems surprising that the MM's are keeping SP steady today. There have been negligent buying, which is a perfect situation to get the SP down. I would have thought that they would have worked with the million shorts to get it down to a profitable level.
I was in what I thought was a normal conversation with this guy on Twitter. He told me to contact Goldman and let them know if I had shares to lend. I contacted Goldman and after speaking to multiple people, I was told that there were no need from any of their clients to borrow shares. I mentioned my conversation with GS to him and he blocked me. Now if you think that does not remove any credibility, please explain. He could have told me I was misinformed and given me his contacts at GS number so I could have called him. I had never heard about his company until yesterday, but myself and a group of friends that own a lot of NWBO shares and might have been interested in lending him the shares at the right price for the right amount of time.
Yeah, I am over positioned in the stock too. My latest buy was at 0.71 on the morning the stock went up to 0.90's. I might add if we see the 0.60's again, but I feel good about my position and not really worried about SP until TLD or similar news.
Trigger can be two fold, news or buyers showing up. Right now, there are NO buyers except for automated algorithms from MM's day trading.
The question is why the owner of Flaskworks would accept shares for 2/3 of the purchase price? NWBO had to have information to show them in order to make them agree to that and that information had to have been pretty solid.
I am not sure if it's a language thing, but expect is not a certain term that refers to a specific time. There's no shareholder liability whatsoever if the event someone 'expects' do not happen at the expected time.
Agree 100%
Can you please show me where she has stated a specific time or date. They have been extremely careful by using uncertain terms in regard to timeline. These PR's are not written by any employees or LP. They are carefully crafted by experienced lawyers who are NEVER going to be specific with anything that hasn't happened already. I have carefully reviewed their PR from recent months and they have never stated anything that might open them up to shareholder liability.
I am not here to discount your opinion. I am solely here as a former executive with a law degree, to inform you that writing PR's for publicly traded companies is very hard. You want to be as informative as possible, but you do not want to open yourself up to any possible shareholder action. It is almost impossible to be specific with anything that has not already happened as there can be problems, due to issues out of your control, arising. I doubt you will EVER see a publicly traded company (at least with a legal department or outside counsel involved) be specific with anything that hasn't already happened. Just from my experience.
LOOOOL, I got blocked by MRC's Twitter account.....
Called Goldman, they don't need to borrow any shares.......Complete fraud.
This action is just the day traders who are making a quick dollar. If we see serious buying, we will get back to this mornings levels, if not, we could get closer to the low seventies.
Agree 100%
I agree that DL could have happened at anytime the past months. This is the only PR they could send out. It gives them the time they need to get the work done in preparing the commercialization and regulatory approval. It does not open them up to any potential shareholder liability. It gives them a reprieve from shareholder inquiries and it shows that they are still positive about the future of DCVax-L.
Fat Joffrey better hope he didn't catch it. He is not exactly a perfect picture of health.....
I hope I am wrong about not hearing anything from the company in the next week or two, because I am certain that the next we hear from them is Great news about results of the trial. Not in a million years would I expect them to come out with a PR that talks about 'the delay' or anything similar.
Yeah, 30 years of investment and management experience means nothing. You still want to bet 0.60's vs 0.75?
If they have solid results, short term shareholder credibility means absolutely nothing. What is important is that they do what they have to in order to get it to market successfully. You really think they care that smaller shareholders feel they are owed a PR? Do you want a presentation trophy on top of that?
I haven't, but encouraged to hear that they are not acting with regard to SP, but with regard to what is in the best interest for the company, long term. That makes me feel netter. Coming out with a PR saying the real news is delayed a week, two weeks or even a month, would not be prudent, if they feel they are lining all the ducks up in a row for big news.
They are/should not be worried about the SP. They need to focus on getting DCVax to market. If they are acting based on the SP, they are doing everyone involved a disfavor.
"Spaulding, you will get nothing and like it!!!"
We will see 0.75 before 0.60's
I want to send out a special thanks to the shorts and MM's for giving me the opportunity to add to my position at a very nice price. I will keep you in my prayers. I actually wouldn't mind adding some more in the mid 60's, so have at it.
This is all short action.
Buy! Buy! Buy!
Normally I would agree with you, but the lack of long buying might give MM's free roam to use their algorithms to day trade and drive down the price. There's not going to be huge sell orders today and if the volume stays in the 3-4M range, we might see the 60's. I am not worried one bit about the SP until after news.
You are obviously smarter than all the people who have focused all their attention on vague statements that have never had firm dates, but stated hopes and expectations for September. When you are dealing with a process where certain things are out of your control, it is impossible to have firm dates, which LP and company have never promised. It is understandable that when you think you have excellent numbers, you are excited to show them, but also cautious to make sure everything is lined up right before you reveal them to the public. Just be patient and you will reap the rewards. The SP before any revelations is insignificant and shouldn't matter if you think the results are good.
It hurts every time you write "Noble Prize".
Agree, if we can get some volume. Without buyers, it is hard at 1k clips to push the SP.
