I ordered the latest D2D/Motion Sensor Light offering from Capstone. I opted for Amazon due to my Prime membership. Will report on my purchase.
Would have rather had a solar rechargeable battery than the 3 AAA cells.
Right there with you!
BTW... you missed CBQI (my beloved entry point in 1999).
I have a .49 limit AoN for 1000 and it is stuck. When will this nonsense stop?
Anybody remember these days? God bless Gary S.
CBQI Time Line: 10/1/1999 ? 1/20/2000
Picked up 25K shares at .03 today. I have not been this excited since the old CBQI days back in Y2K!!
Stuff We All Get (S.W.A.G.).
I went to the SEMA show a couple of years back to see the STP Tools booth. No SWAG. Just Howard, Jerry and Reid looking bored.
The rest of the show was awesome! Came home with a large shopping bag of SWAG and posters signed by the booth candy.
OK, Now that I have had a chance to study the product offerings, I have to say that I feel good about the path forward. I just wish they had had all of the products loaded on the site before the launch.
One item on the site that really excites me is the Capstone Power Control (CPC) concept that is covered very briefly under the "Innovations" menu pull down.
"CPC is an electronic circuit connected to a high power battery which is always kept charged by line power that is built into a CPC LED bulb or a CPC fixture fitted with an LED bulb. CPC distinguishes the difference between the power being turned off at the switch or a power failure condition. When the power fails the CPC bulb or CPC fixture can be switched on or off with the normally used existing wall or fixture switch.
CPC provides extended light hours during power failure because it can be switched on or off as needed. It works for lamps, ceiling lights, chandeliers, wall fixtures and other with a single or multiple bulbs on the same circuit. Only the LED bulb directly connected to the CPC will light in a multiple circuit. Switch ability can provide days of lighting."
I'm glad to see the products show up 8 hours after the site "re-launched."
The Hoover branding looks good but they should have held off the midnight launch until the site was truely ready. Especially after the "countdown" hype.
Pathetic! STP Deja Vu!!!
Product Links are dead.
No QA on site before launch.
Looks like amature developer designed
Maybe they got the Obomacare developers cheap!
I don't get it. Why Hoover? A lighting Icon?
You forgot CBQI. The auction engine company every e-commerce web site needs!
Hi Danny,
Nice to see another CBQI holdover. It has been a long wait sitting on shares that average .13. From auction engines to generators to gas masks to STP power tools to Secure USB Drives and now settling on the sweet spot of lighting products. It has been a wild ride but pateince will pay off.
Shout out to all of the others here who remember CBQI.

Really LONG and Really SLOW. 11 years and counting for me.
Hi U.
It's a good thing I have some soft soapy sponges to fall back on until CHDO gets the car out of the ditch and back on the road.
Thanks for the tip!
Still Long Here
Without a doubt! Bart was getting some lunch money out of this spike.
Awesome news about Staples!
Capstone Industries Rolls Out Mini Eco-i-Lite(TM) in Staples Across the Nation
I checked the same place I saw them before Christmas and only found a solar powered LED flashlight. I'll look some more.
I went by COSCO (Hawthorne, CA) last night and did not see any Eco-i-Lites on display. Any one else see them at your local COSCO?
On the topic of the private shareholder meeting on January 20th, 2009 at the Boca Raton Resort at 5:00PM.
Event is being coordinated by Nortia Capital Partners(NCPN) who "provides access to capital and advisory services for management buyouts, recapitalizations and the expansion needs of emerging growth companies."
It makes me wonder if BBI will be on the block as part of a management buyout move to raise capital for the rest of CHDO. Just my opinion and a thought that keeps bugging me especially when the CHDO symbol is never mentioned in a BBI press release.
Another question is why on 1/20/2009?!?! Inauguration Day! A huge news day and easy to slip in a press release that could be easily overlooked.
There is no mention of the stock ticker symbol (CHDO.OB) in the press release which would bring attention to stock boards and be parsed by financial news engines at Yahoo, Google, ETrade and the like. Somebody at Blackbox needs a lesson in IR. This is a great news nugget that has been wasted. IMHO
Some Wild Swings! I hope somebody got their jollies.

I have not seen STP Tools at Cosco. Where did someone see them?!?!?!?!?
Great Job U!!!
The Eco-i-Lite is a great product. I'm using mine all the time. The ease of picking it up out of the cradle and having it instantly be "on" is great. Very ergonomically designed!!!
I've been using mine for about a week now. It is very handy and the night lite is very effective (good floor illunination). I notice on the Capstone site that there are red and green gels in the lites. Mine is clear all around. Really gives off good light as a flashlight and the power failure mode (auto) works well. Definetly picking up some more as Christmas presents. My friend wants some for his boat due to frequent power failures.
Most of the power failure flashlights I've seen are around the $15 to $20 range. Getting 2 eco-i-lites for $23.99 is a deal. And teh induction charging system is a real differentiator. The unit is pretty well sealed. Waterproof? No. But definetly water resistent.
The Eco-i-Lite pallet at the Hawthorne, CA Cosco was over half sold in 2 weeks. I purchased a package today (2 units) and they are at home charging up. Really nice units. I'll be ready for the next shaker we have here in So Cal. Like I noted in a previous post:
405 Packages per pallet
5 packages per box
9 boxes per layer
3 layers per pallet
$9,715.95 Retail per pallet
I'll check back with the Hawthorne CA COSCO to see how the pallet of Eco-i-Lites has been dented. This time I'll pick up a couple. I'm supprised to see that COSCO is not listed on the "Where to Buy" page of the Capstone website.
Just wait 'till next year.
CHDO is gonna roc.........oh forget it!
The Jersey boy on E-Bay that has the Eco-i-Light for sale has got a little racket going.
Buy them at COSCO for 23.99.
Sell them on e-Bay for 31.83 ("On Sale!")
Add 11.38 Shipping and Handling (USPS)
What a great country!!!!
Eco-i-Light avaliable at COSCO for $23.99 for a 2 Pack
I just returned from a COSCO in Hawthorne, CA and saw a pallet of Eco-i-Lights on sale. I would have bought one but I had to get back to work and couldn't wait on the lines. Pallet looked good, packaging looks good, price was right!!! I'll go back later and pick one up. I have a picture if someone can post it.
405 Packages per pallet
5 packages per box
9 boxes per layer
3 layers per pallet
$9,715.95 Retail per pallet
Keep the faith everybody!!!!
No News for a month and a half..... Seems a little too quiet.
Secret Diary Review -
I received the Secret Diary I ordered and gave it to my teenage daughter to check out. Initial feedback is that she loves it! And this is not with a lot of hype from me. I asked her to check it out and let me know in a few days what she likes and dislikes about it.
I hope the marketing plan calls for some key exposure points in the teen media channels.
Just ordered a Secret Diary. Check Out Complete! Your Order Number is: 189XX.
Wanted to get mine "While Supplies Last!!!"
Oooookay. That is a lot of screwdrivers on that pallet. And @ $20, they will sell like crazy
I don't think that is an STP Screwdriver. I blew up the picture and could not see a logo anywhere. Who took the picture? And $20???

There is an option in the settings to check for updates when you run the PPS application.
I just updated but don't notice any difference.
Received from Takeanyware....
Hello,
We hope you are now making the most of your Pocket Safe and your important records are now easily accessible and secure. The next time you use your Personal Pocket Safe, a window should appear after a few minutes with the following prompt, "A Personal Pocket Safe update has been downloaded. Would you like to accept this update?".
Please select "OK".
If you do not receive this prompt within 5 minutes, you may have previously turned off the Setting labeled "Automatically check for Personal Pocket Safe software updates".
It is highly recommended that you turn the setting back ON temporarily to receive this update.
Please let us know if you have any questions at all!
Sincerely,
I agree. I was expecting a lot bigger roll-out of STP tools than we have seen. The timing of the launch couldn't have been worse given the economic times we live in. This is something that the company has no control over but it still sucks. It is Deja Vu like with the generators and roofing tiles launch in a non-hurricane year in Fla.
I'm encouraged that the management keeps hitting the market with new products looking for that niche market that will expand rapidly. I think that the PPS will be this product. I purchased one (my first actual CHDT product purchase) and have found it very useful. I think it could be a real winner for them this year if they can get a retail channel setup with someone like Fry's electronics.
We shall see....
The STP screwdriver have been available through CSK auto parts stores for months (I have personally seen them in Kragen stores). NOW ON SALE FOR $24.99! They are also available at Sam's Club starting this week. It is the Personal Pocket Safe (PPS) that is only available online through www.takeanyware.com and amazon.com.
