Well, looks like wwat trades in the 1.41 to 1.62 channel for a while.
Chart indicators are indecisive right now, so best to be in a cash position for this play imo.
Disclaimer: if you are already holding that does not mean to sell, but to hold. If you are not in to just monitor for confirmation of direction.
Happy Trading all.

.0025 is major resistance and the charts are pretty toppy.
My thought is that I should have taken that .002 this am but when my old buy is sitting at .0035, the brain gets stupid on me.
Still holding because of the mojo on this one right now.
Best thing would be for this to trade sideways for a few days so that the charts relax a bit so that the .0025 is approachable.
If I was in at those bottoms I would have definitely been taking my profits today...so,back to re- assessing this whole chart
Is that clear as mud for everyone. lol
Happy Trading all.

Americas Wind Energy Corporation is Pleased to Announce Growing Interest in Its Wind Turbines from the Education Market
2008-01-21 12:45 ET - News Release
TORONTO -- (Business Wire)
Americas Wind Energy Corporation (“AWEC” or the “Company”) (OTCBB:AWNE) announces recent activities in the market for wind turbines installed by educational institutions in the United States and Canada, one of AWEC’s target markets.
An AWE 54-900 kW wind turbine is currently being delivered to Wray, Colorado for installation in January 2008 at the Wray RD2 School District. The wind turbine will be connected to the Wray municipal grid and, in addition to producing clean renewable power, will provide students at the Wray school a first hand opportunity to be exposed to wind technology.
AWEC recently responded to a request for quotation for the installation of an AWE 900 kW wind turbine on the campus of The Cape Cod Community College in Sandwich, Massachusetts. The College hopes to install the wind turbine in late 2008.
As part of its final due diligence, a delegation from the University of Illinois recently visited AWEC representatives in Toronto to view the AWE 750 kW wind turbine installed on the Toronto waterfront. The University plans to install three AWE 900kW wind turbines on a wind farm on the south campus of the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois.
AWEC responded to a request for quotation by the University of Maine Presque Isle campus for the installation of an AWE 900 kW wind turbine for research and development, educational and revenue producing purposes.
A proposal has been prepared for Oakland University in Michigan for the installation of two AWE 900 kW wind turbines for revenue and educational purposes.
AWEC believes that many similar opportunities exist in educational institutions in the United States and Canada and that the direct drive AWE 900 kW wind turbine is ideally suited for this purpose. The Company is pleased with what it can offer the Education Market and expects more opportunities to present themselves in the near future.
About Americas Wind Energy Corp.
AWEC is focused on the manufacturing and marketing of medium sized (900 kW) wind turbines for the North American market. AWEC’s strategy is to manufacture as much as possible in North America, with the intention of providing both cost effectiveness and local content. All of AWEC’s projects to date have made use of local tower manufacturers.
AWEC is and intends to remain a virtual manufacturer. AWEC plans to subcontract the components of its wind turbines to qualified manufacturers and manufacturing partners to achieve the best in quality at the lowest cost. As a key part of the strategy of a virtual manufacturer, AWEC plans to maintain strict quality assurance programs and quality control procedures for its subcontractors and partners.

Yes, bought the 1.20 after the 1.18 bounce
Took the trade at 1.27 and will see what happens now.
MS
Basic TA
This stock should bounce off of $1.15
If that fails, it then attempts to fill the end of May 2007 gap at .86.
If that fails, it attempts to fill the middle of May 2007 gap of .66
Those are the three numbers traders will be looking at.
MS
How about a little TA for my old friends.
Disclaimer: I am loaded to the nuts on this one. LOL
ma50: .116
ma200: .112
ema20: .113
middle kelt: .113
rsi: 55
Last time I saw a convergence of indicators like that, the stock went nuts!
Betya we are on the verge of some real trading fun here!!
Happy trading all.
MS
Hey, we had no choice but to take those .14's, when you are coming off from so many .07's, its just crazy not to take a 100% gift.
Buying the bounce off the .10 was the right call.
A little indecision here but we all know news could hit any day now and we all know what will happen when it does.
I'm reloaded and ready for it.
Thinking .17 next trade.
Happy Trading all.
MS
Gotta love that prediction of mine on the 28th.
Called for this baby to close at .14 today!!
Happy Trading all and Happy New Year!!
This one is going to be alot of fun again!
MS
Wow, such a nice chart...
Haven't been paying much attention to the markets this week but breaking that resistance line is nice.
From your private question JessG, no, I'm still holding from my average buy in the low .07's
I did a little overbuying so to speak, but it was just looking so good that I just had to get greedy.
As per the pr comments? Hmm, maybe, maybe not, not what I would call a ton of volume.
Doesn't matter to me, we know what they stated in their recent nr's, so any mention of the broader broadcast range will of course add buying pressure to this stock.
Could very well see .14 before this year is over if this keeps up...and wouldn't that be nice going into the new year!
Happy Trading all.

Question for this board.
Does anyone know of any other chat boards that discuss awne?
Thank you.
Nice to see a real company for a change in otcbb land.

Thanks for all the answers.
I don't know why the 15th is sticking in my mind?
What I do know is that come the end of the day on the 21st, the markets become ghostly and everyone disappears. So if you are really wanting to take a tax loss, except for a very few, I would bet that all the selling is pretty much done.
MS
Lucky, I believe the 15th is typically the last day you can claim your tax losses for the year, so this year that means tomorrow is the last day.
Now I believe on the other side of that, you cannot buy back into the same stock for 30 days in order to claim the loss.
Not absolutely sure on that right now, either it's 30 days or 15.
Anyone know for sure?
MS
Got your message, what do you need?
I believe tomorrow is the last day for tax loss selling, so I would expect that we may see some upward movement going forward now.
MS
They may have just hit their 70's but what a wealth of knowledge.
Reading the report, it appears that only Mr. Dickout is drawing a small wage. I wonder if there was some type of agreement with the others to build the company and then take their wages through stock.
From the looks of their past, it appears more like a business of building a great company rather than a need for money. I would guess their financial status were well at hand before this venture.
Business Experience
The following is a brief account of the education and business experience of each director, executive officer and key employee during at least the past five years, indicating each person’s principal occupation during the period, and the name and principal business of the organization by which he or she was employed.
Harold Dickout, Director, President, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman
Mr. Dickout was the Chief Executive Officer of SRE Controls, whose business included the design, manufacture, marketing and sale of drive controls for electronic vehicles. Prior to this, Mr. Dickout was the Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Square D Canada, a major manufacturer of electrical distribution and control equipment. From 2002 to the present, Mr. Dickout has been the Chief Executive Officer of Americas Wind Energy Inc., which he co-founded with Mr. Pickersgill. Americas Wind Energy Inc. is in the business of supplying wind turbines to the wind power industry throughout North America and owns the rights to Lagerwey wind turbine technology for the Americas.
Frank Pickersgill, Director and Secretary
Mr. Pickersgill obtained his Bachelor’s of Science, Engineering, degree from the University of Manitoba in 1962 and his Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School in 1967. From 1997 through 2002, Mr. Pickersgill established and operated MFP Management Corporation, a family management and holding company, which founded and managed Prolion North America. Prolion North America’s business included the assembly and marketing of automatic “robotic” milking systems for Prolion BV, a Dutch manufacturer of automatic milking systems. From 2002 to the present, Mr. Pickersgill has been the Vice President and Secretary of Americas Wind Energy Inc., which he co-founded with Mr. Dickout. Americas Wind Energy Inc. is in the business of supplying wind turbines to the wind power industry throughout North America and owns the rights to Lagerwey wind turbine technology for the Americas.
Shashi Dewan, Director
Dr. Dewan obtained his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto in 1966. Dr. Dewan has co-authored three major books on power electronics and related applications. He has over three hundred publications and twenty-five patents. He was awarded the Newell Power Electronics award in 1977 and the Killam Fellowship in 1980. Dr. Dewan founded Inverpower Controls, a company which he took public on the Toronto Stock Exchange in 1994. Presently, Dr. Dewan has been the President of Digital Predictive Systems Inc., whose business includes the sale of power electronic systems and investments in the development of virtual prototyping of power electronic systems, wind power converters and precision magnet power supplies for high energy physics.
Printed .10....hmmm, volume and price will be setting off alarms for sure. Break and hold the ma200 and this thing is ready to go again.
Looking mighty fine so far!!
Damn I love this stock!
MS
Interesting!
Liking the way this one is shaping up.
MS
I believe everyone has to the 15th of Dec to sell for the tax loss. Usually most do it a little earlier than that.
We have that tidbit about the broader range of exposure to begin in the new year, so I it looks like the spec has already begun by the look of the charts.
I will still keep my trading tight and no I did not sell yesterday. Still holding my position.
If we can keep strong this coming week we should be fine.
It will get boring through the holidays as it should be and then come the new year you would think a ton of spec begins once again.
That's how I see it anyway.
MS
Just smiling here, that's all. lol
Just looked at the 3 year weekly chart.
SlowSTO is just turning up, getting the formation of a nice candle through capitulation.
RSI showing signs of bottom.
Just need macd and hist to turn and we may have our confirmation.
Expect the volume to begin to increas if this stock gets over and holds .09's now.
Happy Trading all.
MS
Long time, no post.
Well when I read the 8K on Nov 27th I sold my .09's for between .11 and .10
Figured with that type of news there was nothing going to hold this thing up going into the sell-off tax loss season.
Figured I would just keep quiet until I was ready to buy again for the new year spec on the broad broadcasting of the show come the new year.
I'm a buyer today. I have just finished picking up about a third of my position and am working on picking up more.
Don't know if Hedgy will get his .05's but since the...yes (3 year weekly is showing a hint of a bottom), I am willing to take a position once again.
The decision to sell the .09's at the .105ish was not based on TA but strictly on market sentiment when another 100 mil was added to the stock...yuck.
Hmmm, getting filled as we speak. I may be totally filled here now...better check my account.
If so, my new position is now at an average of about .073
Responding to your TA question Gordon, sorry for the late post, but when I read that 8k report on the 27th, I sold and locked in the last of my profits.
Since then I haven't visited the board or the stock as I expect many will use it as a tax loss and will sell off going to the end of the year.
I see it is at .075 so it is worth taking a look at the charts again and thinking about a position once again.
Just that 200 mil to 300 mil did not sit well with me at the time and is looking like it isn't sitting well with too many.
I think once the selling has ended, a new round of spec will set in.
On the sidelines for now.
MS
Well, you had to be lucky to get this under a dime now.
Looks like a very good base is being established.
As I said some time ago, this stock will most likely trade between the .097 and .107 for a while.
I feel very fortunate to have picked up some stock at .085, although my average is slightly above .09
As I watch the rsi stablize, the macd and hist get stronger to where the hist is about to cross over and the slow STO turning up and gaining strength, you have to once again believe that all this accummulation is setting up for the next leg.
I was very comfortable buying near what we now know was the bottom when all the "Hedgies" out there were screaming watch out below and I'm waiting for .05!! lol
In many ways, they are good for us TA people who try to trust their TA and buy the opportunities as they arise.
How long this accummulation will take place, I really can't say.
What I can say is the longer it takes place, the stronger this stock will become, and the more people will have to pay to get a decent position.
I would say that pretty soon, .11 will be tough to get as the ma200 holds stronger, then it will be that .125 that will give us the next resistance.
I'm guessing that we are entering a new trading range of .105 to .125
Happy Trading all.
MS
Wow, Hang Seng and Nikkei up large and futures looking very strong.
Got to agree with you, we should see some nice movement going forward in many stocks today!
Happy Trading all.
MS
ps. Hedgy, let me know when you decide to jump aboard. lol
Just having fun.
MS
No problem questioning Beaches.
I could go back in detail...which I won't, but if you were following my posts, ... and I do try to be as accurate as I can, I did some averaging to .1625 but sold off at the .15x level and did state as such, it was well below the .15 where I started a careful but limited buying of the stock....would have to go back but I believe my first buy was at the .12 level because of the fib line if I recall correctly. My largest orders were placed at .085 and because of the limited amount from previous buys, my average did come down significantly.
When I said my average is around .09...it may be around .091 or .092...was just doing a guess on the last number because my old order from last week finally got filled.
I hope that answers your question because I have been trying to keep it real here, so to speak, without doing exact calculations.
What it comes down to, imo, is that anything in this level up to .18 would be a good trade because I expect this to test the .41 sometime within the next say 3 to 6 months.
Ya, longer than I had first anticipated, but what the heck, having to wait 3 to 6 months for a 200, 300 or 400% return isn't too much to ask...hell, as I am writing this, the ad on the top of this page is boasting a 1 year GIC at 4.60%!!!
That is the reality of this whole thing, isn't it.
I gave up on being happy with those type of returns about 15 years ago. And of late although I have had some nice 1000% plus returns on some stocks, have averaged around 85% per year on my total investments.
Anyway, believe what you will, but I do try to post when I trade for that very reason of credibility...and of course to support the need for TA.
MS
I can understand your concerns GIBBER
and why it is so important to take your profits off the table when they are presented. That way when there are deals out there, you have the coin to take advantage of the positions.
Now as per your comment to sell and move on....would you mind doing that today.
I have two buddies here of mine buying today and they would like quite a few more, so a nice dump would be much appreciated before you move on to better things.
Thank you.
MS
Ouch!! On CRLD...just read the release.
"The assay results returned mostly insignificant values for most of the kimberlite indicator minerals tested for, but did give values for Ilmenite and Chromite as the recorded minerals present. Further information about the potential kimberlite diamond prospectivity may be gained by analyzing the selected kimberlite indicator minerals by electron microprobe."
Oh well, win some lose some...lol you guys almost had me ready to buy it. lol
Next....
Wow, trade alarm just went off!
I see I got the remainder of my .085 order filled from a few days ago!!
Well guess that brings my average to about .09 and my buying is complete.
Happy Trading all.
MS
So how does AWNE who gets valued at a buck 50 last year by the SEC on its intro to the market, go to .41 when they have 14 $1.75 million dollar windturbines on the go for next year and more orders on the way???!
Gotta think this one goes hard one day!
MS
what's the out on that one?
get in line lololol and stop pushing me lol
Imo AWNE has financing written all over it the way it was pushed to that level. So......was that the strike price?!....gotta agree, this looks good enough for a position and a nice little run once again.
MS
Good morning everyone!
Well, sure alot of waste on this site of late...it's too bad, but not uncommon when stocks do not do what people were hoping for.
Then again, the naysayers are equally spouting a fair amount of garbage trying to get people to panic sell.
Seriously, just look at both the 6 month daily chart and the 3 year weekly chart at stockcharts.com
What do you really see there....
Ya, the stock could go lower...by how much...hmm, not much really and will you be able to get any??
But what you have to look at is what kind of room is there for the stock to go up.
Yup, look at the previous runs and what the indicators were showing.
There is enough room for the stock to test that .41...will it, can't say right now.
But the charts are saying either this is bottom....starting to get more and more convinced, or very close to the bottom.
Happy Trading all.
MS
Yes I hear what you are saying.
What the report looks like to me is that they have just started getting their feet wet in sales of their turbines, so to speak.
And that they wanted to eliminate all their debt, thus the sale.
I think that knowing the profit margins would be a good way to determine the value of this stock.
On that note, the contracts that they have announced are being installed next year which is exponentially greater than this year.
Also, from what I see in the report, I believe a financing deal is in order for them to go forward.
See what the rest of this year brings and whether there is any big money willing to take a chance with this company.
Still, all in all, it seems as though they have aligned themselves with all the right people and all the right equipment to make their company a success.
Imo, taking a position at this price doesn't seem to present much risk for what they've already announced going forward.
Time will tell.
MS
AWNE 10 KSB out last week.
So after reviewing the report.
The company had sales of approx. $950,000 for the past year and a net income of approx. $250,000
Ok, understandable from what I've read.
So now in 2008 they have 6 projects underway, and that bid for another 8 projects...and according to the company, are very positive in receiving those contracts.
So there is already approx. $10 million inked and an additional approx. $15 million on the table...and then of course anything else that may be signed going into 2008...which according to their last nr's seems to be in the works.
Now there are 52.5 million shares, with the insiders holding 30 million of them.
That leaves a float of approx. 22.5 million shares.
The stock is trading at 50 cents...hmmm, maybe 50 cents looking backwards, but looking just to 2008, we are looking at a base value here of a buck, without any multiples for future considerations.
You have to think that a position here will reap some amazing rewards for next year.
Comments??!

The stock is trading at 50 cents...hmmm, maybe 50 cents looking backwards, but looking just to 2008, we are looking at a base value here of a buck, without any multiples for future considerations.
You have to think that a position here will reap some amazing rewards for next year.

Well talk about the 7 candle rule.
And look at yesterday's candle.
If the TA world is in order, this indicates that the slaughter is done.
I was happy to see the stock close above my average price, so for this very moment, I am happy with my strategy.
Always tough finding the bottoms but it is usually tougher taking the hits on the bottoms when they fail.
All in all, the TA strategy has proven to be the best for preserving previous profits and finding new positions.
It was kinda nice getting a bit of that .085 just for a mental satisfaction, but still I ended up with the .098 average and will take satisfaction in that.
This thing has comsummed me of late just to prove to myself that TA is the only way to trade a stock and imo has proven itself well to me.
Have a great weekend all and see you when the markets open again.

As the 7 candle rule takes shape before our eyes.
I have a nice smile on my face.
Seeing Hedgy lower his bid to .06 to now have to pay a premium to get the amount I have at a higher price is music to my ears.
I am in large at an average of .098 and I contribute my TA to all of it...don't give a damn what others think about TA but it does preserve profits from previous runs and gives you some targets for buying and selling when the charts present themselves.
I am now back in larger than I was the first time around and didn't have to touch my profits from the first major run.
All done with fun money here and friggin loving it.
Happy Trading all.
