According to one of the previous press releases there is supposed to be three plans available. Freemium (free forever), Professional and Enterprise. Professional will be a paid subscription, contain no ads and have features not available on Freemium. Enterprise will be the same as Professional but offer a discount for large teams of users. It just looks like the website has not been updated to reflect the plans. It's probably something being worked out prior to the official launch.
It works perfectly. As do the analytics.
Mobicard has LinkedIn and Facebook pages up. Looks like some recent posts as well. I'm guessing the marketing efforts are starting very soon.

According to previous press release a comprehensive marketing plan is already in place that encompasses all marketing aspects for both the freemium and enterprise products: Digital, Social, PR, email, etc... Based on that prior release as well as the status of the Mobicard App I would expect the marketing to begin very soon.
I'm guessing that the marketing campaign is coming on the heels of the press release.
There are no issues affecting the performance of the app that would have caused it to be taken down. There are some enhancements planned based on the feedback received during beta testing that will be made in the next update. If you refer to the press release regarding beta testing it states that at a certain point all user accounts will be wiped. It's also been mentioned numerous times on this board.
There was a press release regarding marketing plans last fall. The person who will be running marketing for Mobicard has launched 7 high tech startup companies with a combined net worth of over $500M and each of them having an ARR of at least $10M. As with any new product I’d expect to start seeing marketing efforts begin as soon as the official launch date is known.
Mobicard chose to run the beta in the App Store as a Test Flight would have been extremely limited and delayed getting it into the app store. Now that the App is approved and in the store it is much easier to push the updates through than to go through the entire submission process. They are in the process of compiling a list of fixes which are not expected to take very long to fix and push through. Official launch should not be too far off.
Beta testing is best accomplished with a live app. Test Flights are restrictive as they require manual set up for each test user and typically only allow for a dozen or so testers. Running beta with a live app allows more users to access it, provides a more realistic user experience, and gives more complete feedback. Overall doing beta testing as MobiCard has elected to do should be a much faster process.
It’s public knowledge that MobiCard is currently in beta testing. As with any software once beta testing is complete and all necessary modifications have been made there should be an official release. That is the point where marketing normally takes over and pushes a product. Promotion never occurs before the product is ready. I do believe that there have been previous press releases covering the marketing plan for once the product is ready.
You are asking for things that are typically not released or if they are they are only part of an earnings report given to a board of directors. Having a company officer post that info on a message board violates about every regulation possible.
No. First off the legal work covering 5 years is not cheap. Then the rest of the money is needed to run the company going forward. Everything costs money - additional software development, press releases, marketing, sales staff, ongoing legal fees, etc...
Some of the questions being asked cannot be answered by a company officer in a public forum. Fair questions, but the answers are info that needs to be released through the proper channels. I would think that having the App in the Apple Store and the beta testing having been officially announced that the company would deserve some good will and patience.
There is good news about to be released. My guess is that people have already caught on.
Statistics show that more people sign up for apps through Apple on their iPhones. If Apple was running and we were waiting on Google a case could be made to move forward. But with Apple pretty much closed down there is nothing anyone can do. Everything hinges on Apple getting through their backlog and reviewing the app.
Apple is being pushed. However Apple has stated that they are mainly focused on CV-19 apps as a lot of scam artists have been creating apps to take advantage of people and they are busy trying to weed out the ones that give true benefit, such as ones for making donations, vs the scams.
CV-19 and the impact: Google vs Apple. I am involved in a couple of projects for vendors that deal with Google and Apple. Google has been business as usual even though they been cancelling all in person events. Apple unfortunately has not been business as usual and has shut down all retail operations while also laying off technical staff (theory is that the tech layoffs have a lot to do with operations in China being shut down). My Apple project terminated yesterday as the people I was working with were also laid off. Yes, the cutback on staff is leading to backlogs everywhere. My guess is that Think Latitude is experiencing the same type of issues with Apple that I have been seeing where layoffs and backlogs are slowing everything down.
I am not the CEO. But I am a small business owner and someone who has been involved in launching multiple startups. Many of my clients have put projects on hold as they are leery about burning cash with no known end in sight to the shutdown. I have no idea what is going on with Think Latitude but it wouldn’t shock me if they have shut down operations for now. I know Google is still operating as normal but not sure about Apple. I’m extremely aggressive and would have my employees working unless they were hooked up to ventilators, but I’m guessing TL doesn’t operate like that.
The business world in general is very much in a state of flux due to the rapidly changing orders for non-essential personnel in many locations. As of now there seems to be some uncertainty as to if Apple is working towards completion of app reviews. Hopefully there will be a status update next week.
Reverse split is to get Mobicard on exchanges. Marketing has already committed to giving the stock value a certain amount of lift based on experience. The reverse split will hopefully increase the value enough to get Mobicard listed on more exchanges and exposing it to a wider audience in order to increase the value even more. Nobody will be losing out. There is no difference for example in having 400 shares valued at 1 cent each and 1 share valued at 4 dollars. But there is a big difference in the trading of stocks that are only listed on penny exchanges vs stocks listed on the national exchanges. Be patient and have a little faith.
It’s a cycle with Apple and Think Latitude at this point. It was mentioned on the call last night although some people may not have completely understood and nobody asked the right question regarding it. Here is a breakdown: Apple security changes required TL to make some changes before first submittal. They made the changes and sent everything over to Apple who flagged some things for revision. Think Latitude made the changes and Apple took issue with some of the code that was meant to tie everything together. Basically Apple are being pricks as Google had already approved the same code. Apple is notoriously picky about things and will go so far as to refuse to continue the vetting process after a certain amount of submittals. Think Latitude was doing a complete code review the last time the CEO spoke with them and there is a status call with them tonight to go over progress and timeline. Due to SEC rules the CEO is not allowed to post daily information to select audiences and must issue press releases. Stay tuned for the next release which I’m certain will be linked here.
The app is not yet ready for beta. There is nothing a CEO can do about getting an App Store to go faster than their usual pace. Maybe the crooked previous regime would have faked things or tried to get a half-assed app approved but the current CEO is insisting on doing everything the right way. If the previous regime was so great then why did they sabotage the app? 99.999% of this delay is due to sabotage and the need to completely rebuild Mobicard from scratch.
There’s a conference call scheduled for later this week. Major stakeholders will be getting updates on everything.
There is no mention of a press release, although there could potentially be one this week or next. There will most likely be good news related to the app status this week...at least an update and a timeline for what to expect going forward.
There is a working app as well as a team in place which has been mentioned in numerous press releases. Think Latitude is finalizing the revisions necessitated by Apple in order to get final approval and inclusion in the App Store. The marketing plan framework has been laid out here several times. The point is that there has been real progress made and the CEO is the one responsible for all of it. Creating a completely new app from scratch has been a huge undertaking and the new app will have far more functionality than the old one, functionality that will allow Mobicard to have numerous revenue streams that wasn’t possible with the old architecture. We are expecting some good news this week. Hold off judgement for a few more days...
The Mobicard product update and outlook has been posted, as has the plan for marketing it: Approval, Beta Testing, Optimization based on beta feedback, Freemium push, Advertiser signup, Professional version promotion.
Since Mobicard is getting ready for beta testing and feedback, they would appreciate any constructive feedback on the app itself that you could provide.
Mobicard will not be promoting the app until it has been approved, beta tested, and optimized based on the feedback received during the beta phase. Once optimized it will follow the marketing plan laid out by the person who the CEO brought in to manage marketing, a seasoned marketing professional who has successfully launched numerous software startups. Phases: Approval, Beta, Optimization, Freemium Launch, Advertiser Signup, Professional Version Push.
You may have missed this: Mobicard status update. The app is working in Google and push for full beta testing is awaiting final approval on app from Apple. Website is ready for final updates pending approval from Apple so exact text matches app capabilities. Apple has responded back to Think Latitude with a recommendation for one minor change necessary for final approval. Think Latitude is currently making the change and will resubmit to Apple for verification. Approval process expected to be quick. Look for formal beta testing across all three components- Google, Apple and website - to begin soon.

A lot of what is on the site in terms of text is just placeholders until TI turns over control of the website to Mobicard and the marketing team.

Because Android beta testers are going to want to share information with their contacts who are using iPhones. And there are more Apple users than Android users. This is a business application and many of the functions that need to be tested, particularly those that will allow Mobicard to be monetized, need to be tested for how they work across all three components at the same time. The roll out is planned as follows: beta testing across all three platforms, freemium version rollout, paid premium version rollout.
Because there are three components, Apple, Google and the website involved. Beta users are going to want to share with everyone and not be limited by Android to Android sharing. So everything needs to be ready to to a thorough test.
Think Latitude took a long time to deliver the app and during that time I certainly had my doubts about their capabilities and commitment, but they have completed the build and submitted it for approval as witnessed by the appeArance of the App in Google. I could certainly see people wondering what the CEO had been doing during that extended time as there appeared to be minimal progress, but the CEO wasn’t the one writing the code and was just reporting on it. He did do an excellent job of raising the funds to pay for the project to be completed. I think that the most recent news and evidence that proves the project status ought to give him the benefit of the doubt. Also look at the people he was able to bring in to help with the beta launch and marketing of the product. The guy he has leading the marketing built a bunch of companies for venture firms, including one for Bain. Sounds like the CEO got the app built and has surrounded himself with good people who have expertise in areas where he doesn’t. That has to account for something. I think everyone needs to hold off on the negative stuff and see what happens with Apple.
Yes, Apple takes two weeks on average, but can take as long as a month on more complex apps especially if there is an ad component. Google is a lot faster, which is why it cleared Google already and why everyone is still waiting on Apple. Once both are ready there will be an official beta launch. Pretty much everyone else here seems to understand this. Why is it so difficult for you to grasp. Or is it that you have a personal axe to grind against the company and/or CEO as others have mentioned?
The App works, it passed testing, and got submitted to Apple and Google. Google approved it which can be verified due to the appearance of the app. All that everyone is waiting for is for Apple to approve it so the beta testing can go live. Once that happens there is a team in place to promote the beta test and respond to beta user’s suggestions. It’s understandable that people have been frustrated by the time it took to rebuild the app, and that there was no way to gauge the progress during that process, but the fact that Google approved it shows legitimate progress. We should give Josh the benefit of the doubt and reserve judgement until we see what happens once Apple approves it.
The beta isn’t live yet. Today’s announcement said that the beta phase wouldn’t start until after Apple approved it so that they could run the Apple and a Google betas at the same time.
The original App was broken beyond repair and needed to be completely rebuilt. In the process of rebuilding the app additional functionality that would enable the app to be monetized was added. The rebuild process took longer than anticipated, and that’s on Think Latitude, but in all fairness it was a large undertaking. Josh had very good vision for what Mobicard needed to be and did an excellent job raising the capital in order to see it to fruition. He has also brought in very competent and experienced technical and marketing people to assist him for the beta stage and official launch once the app is out of beta. Today’s news shows true progress. I would expect to see an official beta announcement soon.
