Got the above in an email to me from LinkedIn. I removed my name for obvious reasons.
“A few days ago, some random profile asked him "how the Spydasilk thing was going?".”
You’re welcome.
“It would be hit or miss on the robustness and larger cocoons, but how could offspring incorporate mundane silk, or lose the SS information?”
It all depends on which genes/alleles are needed to produce spidersilk. If you need all dominant genes to produce spidersilk, then both sets of parents would have to be homozygous dominant for all of the offspring to produce spidersilk. If you only need one dominant gene for spidersilk, only one of the parents would need to be homozygous dominant and future generations would be hit or miss at making spidersilk.
What would really would have disappointed now would have been not applying for the RFI
I see an opportunity and others see more of the same.
“Imagine how insulting it is to Kim to have a group willfully misunderstand development, of something never developed for mass production, even though he's detailed progress and setbacks every step of the way.”
Nothing there but bullshit. Best scam excuse in the books. We understand perfectly what Kim is up to. Ya got something better?
“Nice to know we can always look away, if we CHOOSE to do so… “
Yeah, that’s the solution to fixing the problems with this company. smh. No wonder nothing ever gets accomplished with attitudes like that.
“the KBLB news will begin coming out, again, only when Kim is ready”
The problem is that he keeps leading investors on by saying he is ready when he is not and then just goes silent for long periods of time after his announced estimated timeline of success and then gives a really vague/poor excuse for that failure and then starts the process all over again. So that leads to the very legitimate question, will the excuses ever end or is this just a scam? KT is the one to blame for that. Constantly insulting the people that are tired of that behavior isn’t going to put an end to it and is only going to add to the number of negative posts. Would be nice if some people would learn that.
He meant that one would just spin mundane silk as a purebred but when crossed with a homozygous spider silk moth the offspring would all produce spidersilk. If you then tried to mate the hybrid offspring to each other it would be hit or miss on whether or not you would get spidersilk or mundane silk.
Easy fix. Just don't look down.
If they needed to increase the breeding pool of the parent lines, add another two months to that: early July.
KBLB: Never ceasing to disappoint.
“. Most of all, one has to take into account the total picture. If, of course, one truly wants to understand.”
So please tell us. What happened to the Indiana production facility and those millions of worms? Where did all that spidersilk go? If tens of thousands of moths were bred that would be enough for at least 400 kilos of silk per generation. Where is this silk? 400 kilos should be enough to provide free samples to every Tom, Dick, and Harry that wants one. Where exactly is this mystery production facility and where are those thousands of mulberry trees they claimed to have planted in the US? How come there’s nothing in the financials indicating they were running such a facility? Oh that’s right, it’s a big secret.
“Let me guess, "scale" is silent in that sentence?”
It takes less than 2 months to raise a generation of spidersilk worms. They can reproduce at a rate of 100-250 times per generation. At 5500 worms/kilo of silk just how long should we expect this scaling to take place? Just asking because we evidently aren’t smart enough to figure that out.
“So we're left to wonder how was the AI able to be so exact with its answers? Yet we can't verify "public announcements?"
We’ve been told over and over again that this is caused by one’s failure to understand development. Welcome to the club, buddy.
“Whatever comes, don't mistake our worry, for mockery or sarcasm.”
No worries about that. I also wouldn’t mistake your sarcasm and mockery, for worry.
If this was such a great investment, the ‘investors’ wouldn’t be so worried about the FOMO shareholders. Maybe try some diversification.
“"Replacement therapy" at its finest! LOL. Bravo!”
Thank you, Master. You’re a fine teacher.
“Politicians should take note... Putting "correct data" in a spreadsheet is all that is needed to satisfy constituents.”
Since when have politicians cared about the truth or correct data?
“the constant minimizing of KBLB progress; making and supporting baseless claims against the company; and overall snarkiness towards the CEO were upset of some sort.”
Saying KBLB has been making more than minimal progress would be a baseless claim. Since the CEO is responsible for that progress I guess he deserves all the snarkiness he gets. If my posting about it upsets you there is an ignore feature. I don’t know why somebody would continue to read posts that upset them when it’s that easy to make them go away.
And no, putting it in a spreadsheet won't automatically make it truthful.
"replacement therapy"
Wouldn't it just be easier to move on to something less....um....upsetting?
“My DD supports my impartiality and, not coincidentally, my KBLB investment.”
Huh? Is that how that honesty thing works also?
“My lens is always calibrated that way.”
SMH
Helps to know the definition :
From the Cambridge dictionary
impartiality
noun [ U ]
US /?m?p??r.?i'æl.?.t?i/ UK /?m?p??.?i'æl.?.ti/
the fact of not supporting any of the sides involved in an argument
“Of course, a lens of impartiality is required to understand what's being conveyed by the company.”
Good luck with that.
“with the most advanced silkworm facility in Vietnam”
Exactly what does that mean? It could probably just have indoor plumbing and meet that definition.
“It can only rely on FACTS for sustenance. Otherwise KBLB ceases to exist.”
Well that’s exactly what we’re all waiting on. Facts. Not a statement/alibi from the main suspect. Proven forensic facts. Thanks for clearing that up.
“Definitely a big contract from the AF will say a lot and send this soaring!”
It’s going to have to be a lot bigger than $50 million. What did that $40 million contract do for the share price?
“ think he sees a $9-10 bil valuation in a $9-10 bil industry...”
It cost a Chinese company $50 million to build a state of the art silkworm facility several years ago that was designed to produce 200 metric tons of silk a year to supply it’s already in place tie making operation. It would probably cost KBLB twice that to build one like it in the US now with zero other infrastructure around it.
200 tons x $250/ton(very high end)=$50 million
After expenses I don’t know how you get to $10 billion valuation with that. How much money did you say the AF was giving them? Still going to need somebody else to actually turn the silk into a useable product. I can’t imagine how long it would take if we had to wait on KT to do it.
“The Bubonic Plague and Marburg also already exist in nature.”
I didn’t know that was used to make spidersilk. Do you have a source?
“I foresee an $8.00 BO within the next 18-24 months, as a minimum.”
So you think KBLB will have a $9-10 billion valuation in a $14 billion industry? Talk about pie in the sky. Too much dilution has happened for that. No way will there ever be an uplist either without a reverse split. It just isn’t possible.
“As per governmental regulations; that's how.”
And what do the regulations say?
“An alternative theory, as to why the silkworms perished during the Vietnamese winter production run.”
Except for the fact no waste would have been used for fertilizer yet since it did not exist and they were getting the mulberry from outside sources. Why would it only affect a winter run?
“I'm making stuff up?”
Yes. Do you really want me to make a spreadsheet and prove it to you?
“You cannot just sell transgenic silkworm waste to farmers or the local community.”
Why would they sell it? All they have to do is spread it around the mulberry trees they fed to them. How do you think they are currently disposing of this byproduct?
“I would call 99.2% waste, high yield waste.”
Pretty silly argument. It takes 104 pounds of mulberry to make a pound of silk, probably more for spidersilk due to the lower yield. Most of that is converted to crap and pupae waste. So what’s that convert to? 99.1% waste? Good news is, I found out they use silkworm poop to make green food coloring.
Did I miss something? I was taking a nap.
“SMH. I wish there wasn't clickbait in the world, but, the world doesn't care what I want.”
Well I do. Just remove the s,m, and h keys from your keyboard. It will solve one of your issues.
“I guess we'll all have to settle for the exorbitant amount of Crow KBLB will be serving up!”
Do you have some kind of a time line on that or am I still going to be hearing this 50 years from now?
