Sheez Louise...WTF is going on with Rushnet? I backed off the board for quite a while, but still occasionally check the stock and hold it for fun...It's looking more and more to me like I just gave about $13K away to Bob Corr last year.
Sorry, just saw Luke had already posted the story...
Somewhat off topic but...
Did anyone else see this story?
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070525/ap_on_bi_ge/coca_cola_vitaminwater
The initial headline at Yahoo said "Coca-Cola buys vitamin water maker for $4.1 Billion"...
I was crossing my fingers when I opened the whole story! LOL
Coke is seeing the writing on the wall. Maybe Pepsi and Corr will settle their long lasting lawsuit with Pepsi buying out Rushnet. How nice would THAT be?
Pricechopper? You must be somewhere in the midwest? Where at? I'm hoping our Price Chopper gets it soon!
Hey Stellar, what's up? I just logged back in a few minutes ago and noticed you had sent a message a little while back.
Hey all, I've been gone for quite some time waiting for something to happen here...WTF, I say WTF is going on with RushNet???
Did I just give away $13K this last year?
Hey all! Been a while. It's nice to see we finally got some news that may move us somewhere!
BTW Madtony...
Thanks for keeping up your site and all the work you put into it! As always, it's great!
I haven't posted for quite a looooonngg time because I got tired of trying to defend a company and a CEO that was not living up to it's promises and commitments. For the first time in probably the history of this board, I have to agree with Keynesian... :)
I got in this thing with the intention of going long, and by gosh, I'll be in it until I either make some money or lose all $13K.
Either way, there are a lot of things that Rush is moving forward with that are great, but there are also things that were promised that we stockholders should have the right to know the status of. The brewery, Michael Lynch, Mexico numbers, Asian order status, etc...
Just my opinion, and it's worth what it cost you.
I will agree with you there, however, I have no doubt in my mind that we WILL see at least ONE hurricane this season. If Ernesto isn't the one, there will be another...
Speaking of bounce...nice little one today. I bought some last Friday and sold today. Maybe should have waited until this Ernesto thing plays out...Oh well. I'll take what I made and be happy for now.
Found it, post # 12258
That was actually my post some time back. I tried to do a quick search of my past posts, but couldn't find it.
Basically, I had a bottle of either XXX or GR, and it said that is was bottled in St. Augustine, FL and distributed by RushNet, Inc, Blue Island, IL, etc...
Also, it did in fact have pure cane sugar in the ingredients.
Ralph...
You are a W-I-E-R-D-O!!!
:)
WOW! The new website is looking great so far! Can't wait to see the finished product.
Ladies and Gents...I'm thinking there is a lot more going on behind the scenes than we could even begin to realize.
I did not know that Stellar. It is very interesting that Rush would be listing Grays products on it's show list if the deal wasn't done. If nothing else, if the deal isn't inked yet, it definately continues to give credibility to the fact that it will be soon.
I can personally verify that RushNet is supplying a college football player with e-water for marketing and a future endorsement type deal. As a matter of fact, that football player is a member of this board, and has dropped some hints.
Enough said.
OT:
Sorry C, couldn't hardly help it! LOL!
I wouldn't worry or speculate too much over where the money is coming from for this deal. As someone who has dealt with a LOT of business purchases and sales, I will say that it would be fairly easy for Rushnet to purchase this business for "little or no money down." Sound familiar?
The owners of the company to be purchased may have financed the deal themselves. I've done that before, and it is very advantageous for the seller. It takes a little bit longer for the attorneys and accountants to structure the deal that way, (Grays Brewery?) but it's a win-win for everyone IMO.
OR, anyone with a good business plan that makes sense can easily obtain money from a bank to help promote growth of a new or existing company. As far as a bank not financing a PINKY? Bullpucky. 95% of all the small businesses in America are much smaller than RushNet in terms of both sales AND scope, and they get financed all the time. I think for the first time in my life I can use the phrase "size doesn't matter", and actually mean it. :)
A fairly standard way to valuate a business is to take the previous years sales and multiply by 10. Obviously this isn't an exact science, and many other factors come into play, however, it's a good starting point. Considering that estimated sales for Garden Beverage in 2006 are $5.4 million, the estimated sales price (Big ball park) is around 50 million dollars! Lynch may have money, but the chances of him shelling that out are...(Many different phrases I could use, either way, it ain't gonna happen.)
Now that I've rambled on, I'll reiterate my main point by saying again, not to worry or speculate too much about how this deal will be funded. I've only mentioned two.
Also don't forget our increased value in the Meritage Beverages investment...
Once again, Corr and Co. never cease to amaze me. Slow, deliberate, careful planning is the way to build a company, and Corr is doing a great job IMO.
There has been a lot a talk about Corr's education and the direction of RushNet.
To end this I'll post a quote I've had on my wall for years, and truly believe...
"Nothing in the world can take the place of persistance.
Talent will not;
nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
Genius will not;
unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.
Education will not;
the world is full of educated derelicts.
Persistance and determination alone are omnipotent."
-Calvin Coolidge
Welcome aboard. If I may ask, what was it that brought you to RSHN, and how did you hear about it?
IMO, and I think the opinion of many of this board, if you are willing to hold it for a while, you will make a good deal of $$$ in the future.
I am flying in to Chicago on Monday night for some business on Tuesday. If I can break away, I will do everything I can on Tuesday to swing by and check out "Rush Central" and get some pics at least.
Oh Sling...
You and I definately need to get together at the golf tournament. LOL!
Question for the regulars...
Is it just me, or am I seeing a lot of NEW user names, and others that I haven't seen for quite a while?
If so, it seems like the word is certainly getting out there, and that some that may have sold a while back but still watching the board are starting to get back on this wagon.
I'm putting on my shades...
Have a good weekend everyone.
Pomegranate and American ginseng...talk about an antioxidant explosion!
Ralphs has stores all over Cali actually. I used to shop there when I lived up by Eureka. There might even be some in very Southern Oregon if I remember correctly.
Good eye Stellar. You are absolutely correct!
If I am judging this show correctly, it was for retailers that Kehe distributes to, correct? So the retailers can visit the booths and then let Kehe know that they want such-and-such product?
That's my thought. Is this correct?
Think you are right X...
In the bigger displays you didnt't see any waters of any types.
It's just settling down from the huge jump yesterday. The fact that Chris was downgraded had a lot to do with it.
Not to worry. More storms on the way. Hold (or buy) it now and you will be rewarded. Then you can thank Mother Nature!
:)
Just a reminder, Old PR.
Hey everyone, I just wanted to drop this out there for everyone to see again...

Now, it would make total sense for Rush to purchase a brewery to meet this demand eh? Maybe even find an investor to help fund increased production and ramp up inventory? Oh wait, maybe that's why Bob Corr said this:
News from Business Wire
RushNet, Inc. Issues Letter to Shareholders
Thursday, December 01, 2005
BLUE ISLAND, Ill. (Business Wire) -- RushNet, Inc. (Pink Sheets:RSHN.PK) president Robert J. Corr issued the following statement to stockholders of the company.
Dear Shareholders:
In response to numerous calls and letters, I take this opportunity to
apprise stockholders of the current status of our company and our
plans going forward. At once let me say I have had the pleasure of
talking to many of you since January 2004, the first month of my
tenure at RushNet, Inc. The company welcomes your input and
suggestions. We're all on the same team here, as I am a shareholder
too.
Share Structure
As of 30 November 2005:
Public Float: 1,272,418,582 shares
Restricted (Management Owned): 719,133,280 shares
Issued and Outstanding: 1,991,551,862 shares
Authorized Shares: 4,000,000,000
The company recently authorized an increase from two to four billion
shares total. This increase allows RushNet, Inc. to act in the best
interests of shareholders by securing a partner who can adequately
finance the company's ambitious growth plans. To this end, we have
retained a capital management firm to guide us to a private placement
partner. The expected market penetration and profitability resulting
from such a partnership should benefit us all with increased share
value.
Pursuant to a successful private placement, we expect the company to
be owned--one-third by regular stockholders, one-third (restricted
shares) by management, and one-third (restricted shares) by the
private placement partner(s).
Trade Data
RushNet, Inc. currently sells four products in the marketplace:
Ginseng Rush(TM), Ginseng Rush XXX(TM), Rush Cola(TM) and e-water(TM).
Trade show and market activity since summer 2005 has ballooned the
company's invoices to nearly $100,000. These represent a mix of new
orders and re-orders from billion-dollar food and beverage
distributors across the nation. We expect order flows to continue and
increase. Trade payables equal approximately $30,000.
For December 2005, we anticipate:
1) a scheduled sample bottling run of e-SportO2 Water(TM), an advanced
alkalinizing sports drink. (Distributors to receive samples in January
2006.)
2) the reformulated version of Rush Cola(TM), an all-natural cola
blended with ginseng and herbs, to debut in Canada;
3) new items Ginseng Rush(TM) Capsules and Ginseng Rush XXXX(TM)
Extract to debut in the United States.
4) growing the e-water(TM) brand through royalty license agreements
with regional bottlers. We are currently in negotiations with one such
bottling firm.
Conclusion
Finally, let me reassure stockholders that your management team is
working diligently to assemble a dynamic portfolio of truly innovative
and healthful all-natural beverages and dietary supplements. We know
the market is eager for such products. It is precisely because of the
enthusiasm and demand for our offerings that we need to take
additional steps which can, we trust, establish our expanding product
lines as truly national brands.
Yours faithfully,
Robert J. Corr
President
RushNet, Inc.
All this in 9 months? I'd say he's done a pretty damn good job. Incompetence? Hardly.
Just because we aren't hearing from the company doesn't mean they are "imcompetent" or "sleeping at their desks". More likely, busting their asses to build the company...
What about those bigger cases of GR and XXX?
Are those cases for 6 4-packs or are we finally getting some cans?
I'm guessing 4-pack bottles, but I can dream right?
Damn, those are small booths at that show then! Guess I'm just used to bigger booths...
Of course, I don't sell soda, and if I did I'd probably use a smaller booth too!
DAMN! Thought we might have something new coming out! LOL!
Very cool!
Does anyone know what those white, tall cylindrical cans are on the Rush table? Never seen those before...
Keynesian has gotten "VEWY, VEWY, QWIET"...
Only two posts left for today. :)
I'll just say, we don't see him posting here anymore...
Or do we?
Why thank you sir...
I was starting to think that I might be the only one that noticed.
Sorry willie, thought they were. Just saw that and was hoping it might be some good news.
No need. You discredit yourself quite well all by yourself on this board.
Fortunately, I am only one of a larger group that recognizes this.
For someone with such an an "education" you would think you would have the money to invest much more than your million shares of RSHN and whatever position you hold in P(ewwww)LNI.
An education does not a business person make. All that degree does is teach you how to work for someone else...
Good idea. Take that "education" you are so dearly proud of and put it into PLNI.
You bash RSHN, but defend that stinky dog?
If that's education, I'll throw my diploma out the window, thank you.
