Jake & Baiter, where have you gone? There has been a ton of news lately. The split now takes the break even to $6.00 to $8.00 for a lot of people. It'll be a while before that happens. There are a lot of positives to watch with the recent Georgetown and McGill announcements. My impression is they are setting up the network to create a positive cash flow situation through outsourcing. Nothing wrong with that but they still need the big player to attach to them.
Say something will you'ens?
BH
Cash...they have some cash...does it mean anything?
I guess everyone has lost interest.
baitre, I don't see a reverse split. It would dilute Janets holdings to much. They have Fusion for cash. They don't want to issue new stock at .25 share either. Todays announcement on the Ph I Alzheimers drug will get attention. One thing for sure, it will be easier getting the test subjects lined up for SP-233 and SP-04 that it was for SP-01A. It seems they have good in state support from the University and Ruvo Research Institute as well.
How about the good Dr. Poopah leaving Georgetown after getting his own research clinic? Now he moves to McGill. It must have been a great offer. I hope McGill moves quicker than G.U. did on research.
A lot of news today. AMEX announcement next. I wonder if it matters?
That is a nice post but what is green about UGNE?
Baitre,
How's the fishin? Getting cold up there? Had snow showers in Pgh today. Better find yourself a chubby woman for the winter.
What have you heard about LIV? This is the only board with sanity so I'm curious if you have any insights. Been very quiet. Think they're sneaking out the back door? (that was a joke)
Well, we're going to new lows. It appears almost all speculative Bio's are in the toilet Pls don't flush.
Where is everyone? Hope all are well.
I wouldn't bet on any rockets. All the real money is tied up in energy and natural resources. Small bio's are not getting any attention.
What acquisition would that be?
ehddiej,
If you are into statistics then you should be aware of DNAG. If you are aware of DNAG then you are very involved in this industry. Like I have stated, your articulation indicates, to me, that you know the approval process and the statistical routes it goes through. Negative thinker (Murphy's Law) but bright.
Anyhow, you seen to be holding most everyones attention. Give us some questions or make some calls. Then get long>>>>>>>

It appears to me the ehddiej works in a technical capacity, either an engineer or scientist or lab rat, something on that order and believes in Murphey's Law. I find it difficult to argue against anything she? he? has to say. In my opinion, there is intelligent insight behind the messages.
If it weren't for Georgetown Univ I wouldn't have put a dime in this venture. The bottom line with LIV is they are operations people with a product that if successful portends great rewards. They rely on outsourcing and third party resources. They only hold the key. If we had more info on just what G.U. is doing at their end on the research we could probably make better decisions. I have tried to find some info on Samaritan through the G.U. web site and foundations but came up blank. $1,000,000.00 does not get much at G.U. other than a couple hundred sq ft of lab space, a couple of research grad students and a few rats to fry.
Speaking of rats...has Samaritan sold any yet?
BH
Eddie,
You are very correct about the time lines. One can never rely on guesstimates. There is a ton of legalese to be done and and lawyers like to book hours.
I am surprised in your interest in LIV. You are very familiar with Biotech and Pharma and there are a lot of more productive places to play. But then again, why do I have some of my play money in this bugger?
BH
So what happened to the pop in psp?
Did anyone notice the news today regards the Caucasian professor in FL whose main ancestry is from the UK but he had 7 of 9 genetic markers identical to Genghis Khans genetic signature? They say there are 16,000,000 descendants to Genghis Khan in Asia. I wonder how many descendants they'll say Wilt Chamberlin has in 700 yrs?
50 day & 200 day on descend and heading to intersection. 5 day looks to be trending up. $4.00 in short term but still a lot of resistance above that. We need the Bollinger Bands to narrow. That will take volume.
Sure is a ton of crap on this board. It appears the moderator has taken leave with all the silliness I see in the posts. Is there any intelligence available on prospects for DNAP?
hey stick..did you make the trip to Vegas? Can you add anything to JAKE's report? Did Dr. Papa speak?
BH
JAKE11,
Thanks for the report. I hope the tables were good to you. I left town in early March with $1400.00 of their money plus my wife financed the trip for my b'day. Perhaps you got a chance to visit Hoover Dam. The new highway over the dam is one of those miracle engineering feats for Discovery channel.
All positive notes on your post. A lot of feel good. My experience however tells me the time-line is optimistic but it does show focused goals. The biggest factor is to get the big pharma involved. Earlier posts here or Yahoo mentioned J&J having interest, any cool rumors about that? A large pharma connection will get us into the $2.00 to $4.00 range which will relieve a lot of pressure, including with AMEX.
Was Dr. Papadopouslos present at the meetings? He recently became head of his own dept at G.U. and I believe that forced him to modify his association with LIV. I am curious if he still has the same level of input.
I'll be looking for the announcements on NIH grants. Also, it would be a boost to get something on the FDA fast track program.
Keep the good news coming. This is our story stock so we need good stories.
Do we have anyone that attended the BoD mtgs in Vegas?
Hey baitre, I've been away for a while and upon my return I find you and ehddiej in some interesting conversation.I'm on your team but don't be afaird to listen to his/her post. There are some very basic rules that ehddiej lays out that I don't want to apply to LIV but I do elsewhere.
I believe you are both correct. LIV is a "story" stock. I am long because of their "story" and connectown with G.U. If I based my decision on technicals, I would agree more with ehddiej and I would not be long but G.U. is my anchor.
Todays news about the Ph II milestome is interesting but not overwhelming. With a sample of 32 people, the percentages are smoke and mirrors. The proof in the pudding will be successful Ph III without toxicology problems from high doses.
One thing I've been told is the HIV application is not what they expect to be the real winner. It's the Alzheimers applications that they expect to be the real home run. Perhaps we use the HIV drugs to gain momentum so we can run alone with the Alzheimers product. That takes us over the conservative $20.00 limit to dream land.
I hope I don't run out of Ginko Biloba before SP04 is ready.
Interesting day. We announce a follow up PhII and price drops 10%. There were a lot of 6 diget trades. Not a big deal really. All biotechs dumped, at least the ones I own or follow did.
I hope a couple of you get to make the trip to the stock holders meeting and can come back with a report. I'm curious if G.U. will be represented.
I'll tell ya baitre, after all the ugliness on the "other" board, I'm still skeptical about your handle. I like your posts but...trust is the word.
JAKE & Baiter,
You two have this board to yourselves so far. I've been into LIV for 2 yrs. I have nice holdings. Just about dead even $ wise. I was worried at the .32 number but the rebound was a relief.
I have followed several Biotechs for the past couple years. They had their day back in the 90's when blind speculation inflated and distorted everything. Today, Bio's have settled into a niche where they tend to play along like LIV then go to the $2.00 to $3.00 area when they go into Phase III testing. It takes a while to break out even with FDA approval but once they get sales going, it is an upward climb. TTP shot up to $60.00 at one time on speeculation then crashed on a PhIII abort. It's in a 2.00 to 3.00 range today with a major pipeline. Very close to a break out in the $5 to $8 range. Some say $20.00 but we all dream. A new IPO, VNDA has mrktng rts to TTP's first drug, Iloperidone, an opiate supressor. UGNE has their approval for an inhalant Ostioporosis drug and they are just starting to move above the $5.00 range as sales revenues come in. Been with these babies for a long time but they never seemed as risky as LIV.
The big thing with TTP and UGNE is their backing from big Pharma. That's what we need with LIV, a big brother that believes in the pipe line and wants a piece of the action. A Georgetown alumnus in the right place.
GH
JAKE..I couldn't agree with you more. Win lose or draw, I just want to observe civility. I am an amateur investor but I fully understand the risks. I based my decision on LIV on the Georgetown connection. I have time so I am not impatient. I won't have much to say because I don't know much and I would not want to mislead anyone. But I think I will enjoy this board and be looking for others I have interests in.
Nice to meet you.
