Bought the pincher,
sold after the first bounce, should have held,

The cheap pharma stock pinchers can give you big percentages.
I agree about not holding through the EOD.
3 day weekend in a market that is just too crazy.
I haven't held SPY options overnight in quite a while now.
Which is also why I always do the nearest expiration.
I didn't post a video.
What strike and exp date did you buy?
Only now seeing your post.
I bought and sold this Friday's 186 calls.
I actually set up a 10 min chart, because I wasn't seeing the extremes on my usual 15 min.
This chart shows where I got in and out.
I should have waited for the double bottom entry, I would have gotten a double.
I just took about 15%
I hope you got the double bottom entry.
https://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=SPY&p=10&yr=0&mn=0&dy=7&id=p20613885169&a=444692218&listNum=44
When you mentioned SPY options yesterday, the chart was dead neutral. 50/50%.
In my experience, 50/50 is a guessing game. (When I guess on a 50/50% trade, I lose nearly all the time) That doesn't mean in retrospect you won't think you should have bought.
I prefer 90/10% at an extreme. Of the 2 extremes I find bottoms much easier to define.
Yes.
On short term SPY charts, the PPO/ADX pincher doesn't really have to get to a normal extreme as it would on a stock.
I use it in combination with 10 and 50 in regards to the +DI and -DI lines.
I daytraded SPY options 4 times this week including doing a straddle 15 mins before the FED rate announcement. Didn't blink my eyes for an hour afterward.
I use the 15 min and 1 min chart combo for SPY options.
SPY 10 min pincher? No. Look at the +DI and -DI lines. They are intertwined coiling. You want them at the extremes, either way. Puts or calls.
Your pincher was yesterday at 3:00.
Of these, I'm in FCEL. I think it has more.

I like SPY options also.
I especially like expiration day expiring options.
I start anticipating Fridays about now each week.
If today's double top target down hits on Friday between 11AM and 2PM into an extreme 15 min pincher, especially if cooperated by a 1 min pincher, it can mean 1000 to 2000% run in the nearest OTM calls.IMHO.
One can hope. You want to win the trade, but be out by 3:30 no matter what, unless you have millions in spare cash lying around.
I also think steel, zinc, iridium, silica and even coal are oversold.
Of course this was last night's list.
Many bounced today.

Gold? I believe it to be true. Gold is the enemy of governments.
Getting old also.
My wife is getting old, my kids are getting old. The trees surrounding my house are getting old (120 foot Norway spruces)…. and scary during high wind storms. My house is 200 years old this year. My hair is white. I look like Christopher Lloyd in Back to the Future….. but I did hike and bike in NH's White Mountains last week and didn't have my long awaited for heart attack.
