Well... At least it appears they may report on time. That in itself is a huge improvement and confidence builder. Now if only they would include a note to the shareholders in the next mailing explaining the share structure of the company...
Give me that and a couple of PR's announcing purchase contracts with some of these big-name retailers that have the pilot programs going and we should see some serious stock price movement.
drj
I was actually looking for it to retrace back to around the 60-70 cent level. That was it's high during the last move up. I did expect it to be a little more gradual though. Guess it's because being up over a dollar was a price point for a few people. After all, anyone buying in the 20's or 30's was looking at a 400 to 500 percent gain over the last few days...
It was mighty tempting to unload a few shares, LOL!
Yeehah! Just like the good old days... hope it lasts.
Wow, indeed a shocker. Rich's family and friends have my deepest condolences...
drj
Now MMMary... you know they would fight over who gets top bunk, LOL!
Great post, Golfnut. I think I would rather go with a better beer though, LOL.
Great post Amused. I have to admit that although I've never been attracted to soaps, this board (and before it, the one on RB) has been the equivelent for me. And while it has been entertaining, I think I would rather make money...
Great report Dan and Trebor. Glad to hear the products are still moving forward in spite of all the controversy surrounding the stock.
Gotinearly, if that's the case, then I do hope he gets to 'eat his cake' and makes a ton of money on the stock 'cause then the rest of us will too...
FG - the purpose of my question was simply to understand why you would hold shares in a company you were negative on. I don't think you need to hold shares "for evidence", as there are plenty of records to show ownership during the times in question. As for you being negative on the product, you have stated in the recent past that the picture quality was poor and you observed that FrankNG's idea for a Seaview/Rich-based monopoly game called "Monopolie" would "make more money than Secureview ever will". I'm sorry, but that sounds pretty negative to me, and that was the post (see below) that I was responding to.
If you are NOT negative on the products, then maybe it would be a good idea to state that (and why) occasionally so that if you are successfull in your endeavor to oust current management and/or change current practices, there may still be some interest in the company by people who follow or agree with you...
Just an observation...
drj
FYI - the post in question...

FnG, Good one... It would likely make more money....
than SecureView ever will and be a lot simpler to set up... Expect McBride to file a Patent on it tomorrow, saying it was all his idea...
JMHO, F. Goelo + + +
FG - OK, you sold some, but if I was as negative on the product as your statement indicated, I would have sold all - not just some.
Why are you still holding if you believe the product won't sell? THAT is my next question...
drj
FG - if you have that dim a view of Secureview's future, then why don't you sell your shares? Or have you already?
Just curious,
drj
MMMary, I suspect that we would have a lot of out-of-work lawyers if no lawsuits were brought "in bad faith", LOL.
This may be a cynical view, but I believe it - there are a lot of "ambulance chasers" out there...
FG - that seems to be a strange attitude for someone who still owns shares. If I had one to test I would still want to see how well it performed as part of my decision on whether to stay in hope that the things wrong with the company are corrected or sell my shares...staying wouldn't be worthwhile if the camera didn't perform.
JMHO,
drj
Just took the time to get caught up and I have to say this board has gotten to be way too strange this afternoon.
I think I'll go have a few beers and try to forget about the market for the weekend. I recommend the rest of you join me (figuratively, of course). Seems like a few of you could use the break. At some point I'll hoist one to the rest of you... have a good weekend all...

Rich - I would like to offer some advice regarding your last post:
You should've dropped the first paragraph entirely; dropped the last two sentences in the fifth paragraph; and dropped the last paragraph entirely.
As I stated the last time I offered this sort of advice, you will do much better if you confine your posts to technical issues and facts regarding company activities and NOT get involved in a pissing match with some of the other posters here. If you wish to answer a post or poster(s), that is fine as long as you answer with facts or clarifications. Stay away from the type of sarcastic remarks and accusations thrown out by posters attempting to "get your goat".
You may no longer be listed as management of the company, but you are still definately affiliated and need to show professionalism in this capacity. Keep your emotions in check. Answer your critics with performance and facts.
JMHO...
drj
I understand, I'm sort of in the same place you are. Hopefully, Rich will respond with some technical details and settle the matter.
Moron - I believe Rich made a short statement relating to this in post 12392. Maybe he can provide more technical details?
I've noticed that these groups as well as leaders of countries that support these groups have a tendency to refer to the United States as "the great Satan" or "the devil".
Well,
IF THEY THINK WE'RE THE DEVIL THEN LETS SEND THEM TO HELL
Rich - Some advice
In your post, I would have dropped the last sentence of the first paragraph and the last paragraph altogether. I believe you will have more success if you just stick to SEVU facts and not get involved in the rest of it.
Glad to hear the equipment may get there to help.
JMHO,
drj
I would find it surprising and distressing that the "only copies" of evidence essential to investigations might be stored at a site that has been a known historical target for terrorists...
I wish you luck in this effort Matt, but I for one won't be holding my breath...
Right now I'm hearing what they are asking for is type "O" as it is a "universal" type and is used in trauma treatment.
MMMary - it's the same where I live. This morning I heard that there were people waiting in line 5 hours to give blood...
Makes me think there may be some hope in human nature after all. At least the scum who perpetrate this type of action (and condone it) seem to be in the minority...
I am tired of all this...
I just got caught up on this thread since Friday.
I must say it was mostly a waste of time. Maybe a new board called "Pissing-Match" should be started where people can go to try to out-piss each other. I am tired of reading posters who repeat the same stuff over and over, whether good or bad.
FG - if you have a legal basis for this lawsuit, please post it for all to see, as I would like to see it. If for some reason you don't want to post it publicly, then PM me. If you have new news or insights, then post them. But please stop all of the verbal jousting with Rich, DK, and other posters. It is a waste of time.
Rich - if you are going to post, please stick to the product as you yourself keep advocating. If you wish to answer some of the accusations made, fine, but make the responses logical and unemotional. Don't throw barbs in against FG. It detracts from whatever point you may be trying to make.
This used to be a place to discuss the products and progress of the company. It needs to return to that, even if the news is bad. If we want to read posters engaging in a pissing match we have RB. Lately SEVU has provided more than enough "entertainment"... we don't need more from posters, LOL!
I'll get off my soapbox and go back to work now. Some of us DO have real jobs, that's why I would prefer not to have to wade through so many 'garbage posts'.
Have a good day all, in spite of the market ;)
drj
Sorry, Bizz, in my part of the world the garbage truck is a single person operation. The trucks have arms that pick up the cans and dump them in. There is only the driver and he never leaves the vehicle...
Talk about a garbage post... look in the mirror jd. EOM
Comgratulations, Dan. I was so glad to see you finally come out OK.
drj
Best of luck Dan. I know you and your team will do well. Let's all hope the SEVU cams do their part...
I'm with you on THAT view, Tony...
UB - On those two points I would tend to agree, Seaviews best bet at thsi point is commercial sales to business. Then with that basis to get production ramped up and costs down, they might be able to get the cost down to a more consumer-friendly level. I would think at least as low as $200 would be necessary for this to be attractive.
Too bad, as this is a good time to target the consumer home-buying public. Hey how about getting some builders signed on to offer Secureview as a security option to go along with the home alarms most builders offer?
drj
Well... after reading THAT relevant post, I think I'll go have a beer and relax for the evening. Unfortunately I do have to work tomorrow so won't get to see the GMA spot, so I'll look in here for a report and will check the website.
G'nite, all...
One final thought - to bad this type of stuff (Costco, GMA, etc.) wasn't going on a year ago, the stock would've hit $60 for sure... timing is everything... Maybe I'll have two or three beers...
drj
Rich -
So you are asserting that the production itself is not a problem, that the order procedures are being automated to make the whole process more efficient, and that should increase the efficiency and speed of the entire production response process?
Please respond with a clear statement that this is the case as I am sure I and others would greatly appreciate some reassurance with everything else that is 'flying around' regarding the company.
Also, when will we get some indication of how much product is actually moving?
Thanks,
drj
Actually, zag, a number of the posters now supporting FG are immigrants from the RB camp - they came over especially to help him out now that he has come over to their side of the fence in terms of their opinion of SEVU.
Geez, NOT the X-10 sales pitch again...
UB, have you been talking to Ken? I think he must have invested in this crap technology. Don't get me wrong, X-10 is great for remote control - I have been using it for years. It just sucks for delivering video, at least at this time. This opinion is based on personal observations of product demonstrations...
JMHO of course...
Well, the Seaview soap opera continues...
My views, if anybody cares:
I will wait for some indication from current management what REALLY has gone on; Like DK and others I am disappointed in FG's behavior. He's beginning to sound like A@P with his name calling and mud slinging; I am disappointed with the new management that they can't seem to stop tripping over themselves and shooting the company in the foot just like the "old" management did - it's like the momentum just kept them going in that direction...
I hope by next week sometime this board can get back to some sort of civil discussion of the goings-on at the company WITHOUT all of the emotion and attacks.
All are entitled to their opinions, but I don't want to read the same posts over and over from anyone else any more than I did when Print was doing it, or Ken with his ceasless promotion of that X-10 crap.
I don't post often, so you are all lucky in that you will not have to read the above repeated ad-nauseum...LOL!
Maybe if Seaview needs financing they could sell the book/movie rights to the story of the last year or two... should be able to build LOTS of Secureviews then...
drj
Good one DD. If Printmail is so high on all of these other products, maybe he should start a thread on some of them...
Again, Print, this is an offer to sell a product, NOT the technology. Big difference...
drj
Either way, I don't mind as I think the market could support two companies using this technology as long as both had their own innovations for it's use (the 'bells and whistles'). SEVU seems to be doing ok in that area...
drj
Print, it seems to me that in this example Wire21 is selling products that may use the technology, not the technology itself as you seem to imply with your statement. If this is the case it seems to be covered by McBride's earlier statement that they (SEVU) "are allowing them to sell several hundred of the old bulky boxes they have left in stock.".
I guess the question needs to be asked of Wire21: Does SEVU/McBride (or which of the two?) have an exclusive right to the patent and, if so, when the current stock of Wire21 equipment is exhausted is that it? Or did Wire21 retain the right to sell their own products based on the technology in addition to SEVU?
