TooFrank we love you bud but sometimes you post in riddles that leave us more confounded then a defensive coordinator trying to stop Tom Brady. Are you saying that because Peter is associated with Infragad he was able to use his connections to in some way quell the GHS manipulation?
SHMP won’t get to pick and chose where they’ll get subsidies. If there are cities interested they’ll make their offers and SHMP will have to decide if they want to adjust their business model. They could say “No thanks, we’re focused on LV , LA and Chicago right now”. Everything I know leads me to believe they are trying to move forward with just that. I would have to think if this is the case then SHMP has a partner in place. If they don’t have a partner they’re going to need all the subsidies they can get and rethink their current 10 city major city tour.
Yes, part of NSs problem in attracting subsidies is they may not employ enough staff per facility because the tech is so efficient and doesn’t require a lot of labor. I have thought about this. Could go either way. It also crossed my mind too that the major cites would be less likely to do this. Waterbury has been run down for a while. That whole corridor of CT has had its struggles. They’ll do what they have to do to attract businesses back to the area.
All the more reasons for NS to just sell or take on a major partner to not worry about these things.
There was also about only 93m shares back then too.
You really think they can get over $500m right now (assuming the patent is proven no mortality)? I like your enthusiasm and would love for this to be the case but I think it's a lofty expectation. I hope you prove me wrong in time.
You speculating or have some concrete evidence? Not bashing, I hope you are 100% correct just asking.
Most of the sales are private companies. They either produce equipment for fish farmers or are fish farmers themselves. Natural Shrimp is unique in that they could grow into both an equipment/technology provider and a fish producer. NS is pre-revenues while the other companies are likely established and profitable. I don't know how you value NS right now. It's just a case of does the tech work (likely at this point) and how much is a major company willing to pay. I don't think anyone has a clear answer.
So to answer your question, I don't think there are any comparables. We are in foreign waters.
We will be very lucky and blessed if there is a buyout here at any price. It doesn't happen too often. Those who think we are getting a $10 buyout are dreaming. I feel like buyout and scam are the most common words used on the message boards. A stock is either getting bought out, merging or a scam lol.
A buyout of any kind will be a blessing even if it's only .50 or .75 per share or maybe less.
Pranger who like Pentair is more on the equipment side. Just purchased PR Aqua from Pentair in November.
http://prangerent.com
Atlantic Sapphire
http://atlanticsapphire.com
Personally I would prefer a buyout because it takes the guesswork out of when to sell. Nice and easy, you just need to be in the stock when the news hits.
Depends, what’s a partnership most likely going to look like? Does NS/F&T get the capital to do all of the expanding into major markets like they have planned? If so possibly .70 - 1.00 once fully ramped up with weekly production in all 10 locations. Not including other species or royalties if applicable. Just shrimp production.
I think they are cautious because of the way the last PR was received. That’s how I read it. They are aware of what’s said on the boards and know that the last PR was referred to as fluff by many. The fact that they even put that PR out leads me to believe they want to start getting serious about the share price. I don’t believe it was fluff but it was already baked into the price because most of us already knew about the fact F&T was moving towards new trials of salmon and barramundi.
Btheo, what has become of our lives. It’s 9:30 on a Friday night and we are commenting on a shrimp board.
I guess we’ll find out very soon if the the technology is desired by the right suitors. Peter is still posting on social media with the hashtag #nomortality. As long as he doesn’t start tagging #lotsofmortality I think we’re in a good place.
Do you think they’ll make adjustments to the plan and open facilities in some smaller markets if they are presented with offers that are too good to pass up?

Glenn, relax man... Get your mind off SHMP and go call those leads. If they don't want to buy a car tell them you got a hot stock tip for them.
Seriously though, this stock is either going to be wildly successful or it isn't. No sense worrying about it constantly. If you're looking for big returns you got to be able to stomach the volatility. GL and don't lose focus on your day job.
Mortality rate by far is the most important. With extremely low mortality will come a great yield. Even if the yield took a few extra weeks this trial, I believe they’ll make the proper adjustments to get back to a 24 week cycle. Price per pound is very important too but we must keep in mind this is the San Antonio market.
Wish they could all be 49 grams. Variance is fine though as it will allow for sale to more buyers. You just put your per pound count size in and it gets filled to your specs.
Nice work putting two and two together. It’s still speculative imo but vet promising.
“As Pentair and the department of natural resources of MN are interested in doing a project using the new patent”
Frank, where did you find this info? I know the state of MN is interested in Aquaculture but where did you find info specifically to their and Pentair’s interest in NS?
Sounds like confirmation of better terms with GHS or someone new. Hence the reason for the delay.

It's not worth billions imo but it could be worth millions as in a few 100m depending on the results of this final test. The toxic financing is looming but may not be necessary as indicated by the delay in filing.
Lobsters take too long to grow to legal size. A little over 5 years. Don't think that would be feasible.
F&T has already come out and said they are positioning themselves for acquisition. I’m sure NS will be trying to do the same. Who says it has to be $2 per share. If they decide they’ve had enough and just want to cash out early I can see $100m-$200m getting it done. Much less than $2 per share but still a huge increase to the current value. If/when the technology is proven to be successful, anything is a possibility from then on.
In 2015 Pentair Aquatic Eco-Systems acquired PR Aqua an aquaculture design and equipment provider. At the time they made this statement.
“The addition of PR Aqua complements our ability to meet the increasing market demand for cutting edge technology, equipment and engineered solutions as a comprehensive single source provider”
PR Aqua uses UV technologies. Pentair just sold PR Aqua to Pranger in November. Could Pentair be back in the market for some new "cutting edge technology"? It's been brought up before on this board that Pentair would be the most likely interested party in this technology.

Only thing that makes sense to me is that they ultimately expect a very high survival rate but since this was the first test on a 65,000 gallon tank they expected to have some trial and error before perfecting the process. I can’t imagine they thought 50% consistently would be good.
Right. The point of this patent is to produce consistent results at high density. I’m starting to believe they really had no idea what the survival rate would be. Put out 50% so the results would likely beat expectations no matter what. The only thing is why wasn’t there a 3,000 pound expectation rather than 6,000? 6,000 pounds would be around 20 count and 100% survival on a 120,000 batch.
Something is missing. Not saying it’s something bad but it just doesn’t add up with the info we have. I think I’ll reach out to Peter tomorrow for some clarification.
12,000 pounds of shrimp? That would be some damn big shrimp. I can’t imagine they were expecting only a 50% survival rate. It had to have been between 80-90%. Still a lot left unanswered.
Cost is estimated at $5.00 - $5.50 per pound. I think your numbers are light on the price per pound too but that’s fine because it illustrates a worst case scenario. Maybe in San Antonio they get as low as $10 but I believe $14 -$18 in major markets imo.

Absolutely not a pump & dump. Just a few over excited folks on here and some who think they can push this stock higher on their own. Real company with a real product/Patent. Patience will be needed.
Equipment cost alone is $2.5M financed for 10 years from what I see. At least the money goes to F&T as they are they ones providing the equipment.
What are we looking at here, $2M - $2.5M per year in costs? If that's the case breakeven is around $8 per pound. If it's more like $3M per year then $10 per pound. These facilities should be very profitable, it's just the initial capital needed to get up and running that's the hard part. There is definitely going to need to be some help here in terms of licensing and or partnerships. The fact that F&T says they and Shrimp are working on this is promising and tells me that the harvest is still a big success.
