Amazing! I never knew any of this!
Indeed!
Personally I’m not concerned with “the market”. I still think SIAF is a good investment, whether “the market” is aware of it yet or not. And that’s how you make big money by believing in a company before everyone else does. SIAF is so cheap too that as long as they continue filing not making money eventually is very unlikely.
Very interesting, I’ve always thought that if a company goes dark those shares are now worthless but I guess thats not always the case. So in either of those scenarios you would be bought out of your shares you’re saying? How do you know they wont just run and ditch their shareholders? Going dark doesn’t exactly build a lot of trust.
So Dutch I’ve really valued your perspectives on SIAF over the past year or so and now listening to you talk about HERB, i’m just honestly wondering why you would want anything to do with a company thats gone dark? What am I missing?
Ooooooooh, thanks preciate it!
Oh right on thanks! But I thought he used to be a 10% owner? His form 4 from 1/02/2018 shows him owning 5,141,831 shares. Where did they all go? There’s no form 4’s between then and now.
Does anyone know why Garrett’s holdings have gone down?
Lol definitely the theme song for SIAF right now. ??
I suppose that’s all any of us can do. I’d take a pretty big loss if I sold now. I’ll likely just hold and hope they get something right eventually but I’m not holding my breath. The house of pain has been a little too painful lately. Thanks for your posts Dutch they’ve given me a glimmer of hope in these dark days.
So are you selling then Dutch?
Stop getting my hopes up zero, at a book value of $12.50 we’d all love liquidation but that’s probably not happening for quite some time. Gee when did zero become such a ray of sunshine! ;-^
Ha sorry it’s just a casual way of typing “for sure” and then apparently a thumbs up emoji turns into question marks on this app.
Ha i guess a thumbs up emoji turns into question marks.
Fa show.
Fo show ??
I totally agree it would probably be pretty difficult to actually sell those assets for that value. So like dutch was saying before even at a 30% liquidation value we’re still talking about a stock thats wayyyyy to cheap.
Hey fair enough man you should always be skeptical, but either those numbers aren’t real and the stocks worth nothing, or those numbers are real and the stocks worth way more than $0.20. Only time will tell for sure but my money’s with Garrett’s.
That’s fair, but still $12.50 book value and $0.09 EPS last quarter with growth potential (and we had much higher EPS in the past). Even at a heavy discount for the uncertainty, what is that worth?
I really think we’ll get there eventually it’s just a question of how long it’s gonna take, and all these screw ups keep making it take longer. If one thing remains true in markets it’s that everything must eventually be valued correctly, its like gravity, and SIAF is definitely worth $2 if not a lot more.
Cool thanks!
So Dutch I totally agree, but I’m probably not as experienced of an investor as a lot of people here. What does pushing entail exactly? Like just bothering investor relations? Tell me what to do and i’ll do it.
Haha exactly.
I love this comparison, big fan of the Musk. There were also a ton of people screaming that Tesla was doomed and now they’re currently a 63 billion dollar company with skyrocketing revenue.
Cool thanks I appreciate it, i keep thinking we’ve reached maximum pessimism and then we some how do it again haha.
Hey Dutch, big fan of your posts! I’ve been following for a while but just finally got premium so I can actually reply. So obviously I was pretty devastated by the cancellation of the dividend on Friday, what are your overall thoughts do you still believe in the long term prospects of the stock? Thanks so much for all you do!
