News out - CVSI at The Street Investor conf on Saturday - in my CVSI email just now ...
What are the expectations for revenue and earnings this Q? $14m+ rev? Seem to be scaling up at 2m / quarter.
CVSI has a lot of these nicely produced info graphic vids in WholeFoods Magazine. Simple and educational for natural food store owners.

A little bit of cash left dow, tech and FAANG today. Time to move that to CVSI :)
Great post. I am patient for this as well. IR told me in early Sept that they were told it could be 120 days, which would put it Nov 20 and still be on that timeline.
Q3 pool open until earnings. Submit your Q3 revenue guess and # of stores. Winner gets a bottle of your favorite flavor of PlusCBD gummies: https://pluscbdoil.com/cbd-products/cbd-oil-gummies/cbd-oil-gummies/ 33 guesses so far; no shorts or bashers have offered reasonable guesses for earnings. Its open to all of them too - I learn from some of them as well. I wonder why that is? Perhaps scared of the implications of what consistent revenue growth would be for SP? Just a guess...
CVSI will be in the top 50-75 of marketcap in the NASD capital markets when it uplists. There are hundreds of smaller, more speculative stocks there and some of whom I would guess with C suite problems that have been settled in the past. I think it is the legal gray zone slowing us down. https://www.nasdaq.com/screening/companies-by-industry.aspx?exchange=NASDAQ&market=NCM&sortname=marketcap&sorttype=1
Happy to run the pool- as a thanks to this board, as a way to see the sentiment here, and pass the time until earnings. I learned a lot and got a lot of leads to help me do my own DD and (thankfully) have made quite a bit off CVSI. (But the real hope is to make quite a bit more going forward...) Litfaa and Bandidojoe you are in with the rest of us "Random Analysts."
Sentiment of this small board sample has most everyone hoping/expecting a 50% gain in revenue. That's aggressive even with this awesome CBD trend (I think). I hope we are right, but it makes me wonder about what we know about the make-up of sales in Q2? No exceptional, one-time increases, contracts etc. I'm hoping a lot of the sales, partnerships in Q3 are quiet and not being announced because of the gray legal zone. When we get to NASD and completely legal after Farm Bill, I hope we see more detail on revenue drivers.
Good luck to all
31 entries in q3 pool. Balding, mc73, stockgeek, jwblue, jsampayo you are all in. Guess the Q3 rev and # of stores for a free bottle of CVSI CBD gummies. Have a good Sunday everyone.
Hmm,FastMny,SweetEq,PlayofDvine - you are all in. 25 entries so far. Wide range of guesses...
Beagle and Alwaysbmikki -u r in. Alwaysbmikki - from your keyboard to god's ears...
ACBFF is Medical MJ
Q3 Pool open - send your revenue and store count picks.
https://ir.cvsciences.com/presentations (see slide 9 and 10)
Good day for longs- hope it was based on some good underlying news started to leak - have a good weekend everyone...
Party on Wayne... Go CVSI... news?
Thx Aurora - you are in. (Aurora IL?)
Thx Cubs - you are in. (Why couldn't we score runs this season...pathetic ending this week... I'll send KB some CBD Gummies too)
Q3 Pool has 16 entries so far. Guess the q3 rev and the number of stores. I will send the winner a bottle of CBD Gummies (shorts, traders, longs all welcomed.)
For reference CVSI had $12.3 million in sales in Q2, great leadershiop position in a market that is growing very rapidly. (That is the reason we are invested here...noise be damned. https://ir.cvsciences.com/presentations)
Last Q was 30 days after, so Nov 1 is a reasonable assumption
that presentation is really good Sapote. This looks like a road-show presentation for investors. Does anyone know where this was used on Aug 23? I like the comparisons on slide 18 to Omega-3, Krill oil etc which used GRAS as their acceptance strategy. I don't follow nutritional supplement stocks, but I'm guessing these have done well? The only product we trail is Fish Oil which is in 7,000 stores. Our GRAS research may have more upside impact than we think... I also love the summary on slide 41.
Many pool picks are in- thanks all - keep 'em coming. I'm cheering for one of the four Random Analysts who are in the $20ms. I will be thrilled to buy you a CBD gummy bottle for the win (and may add a bonus if the high end of our range wins, because then I will be able to...)
Cool, Ania - how many stores for your guess?
Good memo on CBD from Asst. Sec Health that was written in May was released today. https://hempsupporter.com/bfd-fda-on-cbd/
UrBest -FWIW I too want more communication, but I trust management as well. Sleuth100 found the interview... And what are your sales and store guesses?
Pool is open: Predict 3q Sales and number of stores. Winner gets a bottle of CVSI Gummies. Few picks are in already...I'll track and remain open until earnings announcement. Longs, shorts, and traders are welcome.
Sleuth100 found the interview - kudos there. (It would be easier to find if CVSI sent out a simple communication telling the world about a great interview with their director of production, Josh Hendrix. That way hundreds of thousands of potential investors could listen instead of just the 37 people on this board.)
start it at 29min and listen through 33...
Fish Oil is in 7,000 and we are only in 2,000 so far. I can't wait to see how many we are in with this Quarterly report.
Lets have a pool - I'll track guesses for Revenue for Q, Stores CVSI is in now. My revenue guess: $18.7 million; my store guess 2,800 (is 40% distribution growth in a Q possible). Any other takers? I'll buy winner a bottle of CBD gummies (even the shorts who participate as reasonable people).
Here is a simple press release to help educate people about CVSI and Hemp.
Great find sleuth! Wish CVSI would let us all know about things like this.
Not a trader, but I've seen days like this where it will retrace back to 4.50 or 4.60 if it can get past 4.35. I think it is just strong holders taking and repositioning since this was based on nothing.
Thinking counterintuitively: perhaps that push down may have been the last share grab of the market makers pre-NASDAQ announcement.
Thank you Monolith. What are some points in the $3's where you would come back in?
007 - agreed re smart communications. Good, reasonable, non-hyped news flow to tell the story in a crowded, emerging, new market is a positive on top of the most important facts of revenue, earnings growth, GM, FCF. It's not an either/or. There is no positive to getting out marketed to the general consumer by CWEB.
I too would like a little more (appropriate) news flow because of the moment we are in. 1) CBD is the whole business for CVSI; 2) right now (Oct/Nov/Dec) is the only time that CBD will start to be discovered by the masses of general consumers; 3) CVSI is a leader in the current market; 4) a little proactive flow could help us ride a wave to a much wider awareness and help get some first mover advantage; 5) we need to compete with CWEB in this space who (according to research coverage and my email news flow) has a clear marketing and awareness advantage.
There are much better communications people than me, but I think simple, factual things would help if they are put out in the right channels and not in those OTC 'newsletter' items as one of many companies. Announce the earnings date; announce the expos we are presenting at; offer some of the education info on CBD as a service to the market (and collect inbound email file as you do it) etc...
We are a good, emerging story whose time is now - I would like to see it shared.
Thanks for CWEB research! After reading that CWEB investors should say...time to buy CVSI.
Thanks Monolith. Here's the Dr. Oz clip https://www.doctoroz.com/episode/what-you-need-know-about-juuling?video_id=5842922358001
They applied on July 23. IR told me they were told by NASD could be up to 120 days. So may be Oct or early Nov. Hope it is ahead of earnings, but if not, earnings will still do good work for SP.
CVSI is squarely focused on QCQA, highest quality and purity. In my tour with the CEO he emphasized this and showed me their facilities making the point that they want to compete on the level of QCQA in the way that "P&G suppliers do and even be better than them." Farm Bill will make it legal, but can't make the other companies understand how CVSI has gotten so good at their processing and the investment in proving their product safe.
Initially I thought uplisting was timed around farm bill for cover; but it makes far more sense that perhaps Dowling with his background in Pharma was actually following the DEA requirements to take CBD off the schedule 1 drug list by end of September as the timing for the NASDAQ uplisting. A strategy built around counting on congress to do its work well would be worrying :) Now I am even more hopeful for some good news on uplist soon...
