OT: Hi gloe - been away for a while since I am busy leaving Las Vegas, finally (I know you left years ago). Sold my LV house in 2 weeks (lucky) and moving to Savannah, GA in 4 weeks. Once settled I will get back to trading.
cheers,
rock
PT - csgcos is up 5.4% ytd.
Chico - OpsXpress will allow you to make a fund exchange same day, such as sell ryvyx & buy ryvnx w/ one $15 commission, but it has to be done by phone.
I am also moving my IRA to Rydex.
Best,

Hi gloe(..ria)
I used to use an AD macd crossover signal with esignal for daytrading. Now that i am with QT i just have not got back to it. Should have mentioned it earlier to you - it works pretty good as a filter for a trend change.
I will set it up w/ QT and have a look again. I'll see if i can find a chart and post it.
Cheers,
r
Both IB & Optionsxpress offer virtual futures trading accounts.
i have it coded in Matlab, but i also have the excel version.
you should receive a link to download it.
cheers,

oops - wrong chart. This is it:

FM - we had snow in Vegas this week; keep hoping!
cheers,

ajtj - i buy & sell (covered sell, naked not allowed) options in my ira w/ optionsxpress. Did it at etrade too.
cheers
gloe - agreed on LV; been here for 14 yrs; lot's of high-rise work here. In 2007 we will move to Savannah, GA.
cheers.
we must be near a top Poker; appears you are throwing in the towel? Or have you bought more puts for Jan expiration?
Cheers,
rock
I am using the advanced set, w/ the nasi 10/17 option. Yep, not quite a reversal day yet, but close. If i wasn't tied up in a meeting yesterday i would have sold my NDX 2X fund.
CSGCOS still LONG from 10/31.
if they sold the 3000 43 puts at 0.10, they are betting the q's close above 43 on Friday, so they get to keep the premium and the options expire worthless. This is a simple naked put sell play. premium = 3000*100*.1=$30,000.
SOX setting up for a test/back-kiss of the trendline from the 04 lows.
Looks fine now. thanks.
I am using FF also.
CJ - makes sense to me. There are some serious nuts on the web. Thanks.
regards, r
there is more - that is the lightest content; it's below your collage (which i find just fine BTW). It is all very sickening.
How can some see it and not others..?
PT-the (mil$) question is why? The system was slaughtered with the May turn down but recovered with the recent rally. A long in May was triggered too soon with the sharp drop. It may be that sharp moves result in premature triggers? I will study the signals in May and see if anything looks abnormal.
CSGCOS update - green is the system performance for 2006; black is NDX.

K- what is with all the crap on the board info??? Anybody?
QQQQ - i will work on it this weekend and post an update; been too busy lately.
COT e-mini shorts; holy cow!? Big move coming?

husk, we have been getting whipped around a bit lately - LONG after close today (NDX 10 ema).
K - it has perked up quite nicely:

PT - this what you had in mind? This is 06 performance (green) vs. NDX (black).

Capt - "did you catch the license tag of that steam roller?
THE FED1"
LOL - saw that somwhere the other day.
Bear case; rule 2: rsi3 > 39.4
husk - here is the system:
Bull or Bear via PPO as Capt's message
stops also same as Capt's
performance is 1x the NDX
BULL--->
LONG rsi(5) < 25.75
SHORT rsi(14)> 79.52
LONG NDX > NDXema(10)
SHORT rsi(5) > 49.75
LONG NASI ema(10) > NASI ema(17)
otherwise SHORT
BEAR --->
LONG rsi(5) < 28.0
SHORT rsi(3)> 39.4
LONG NASI ema(10) > NASI ema(17)
otherwise SHORT

CSGCOS short from 10/06 close. System currently up 14.8% for 2006. Profit range in 06 is 2.5% to 16.8%.

Capt - I posted a message regarding a 30,000 Oct. 39 call block buy on 9/29. That buyer made the right call on the market movement since then. Who knows...but i have seen large qqq option buys the week before expiration. The manipulators then move the market in their favor during op ex week. The last one that comes to mind was during the August expiration - look at the move that week!
Best,
rock
big volume on the qqq Nov 38 puts today - 57,625 @0.15 the last 1.5 hours of trading, many in 3000+ blocks. Buys? Maybe - the open interest before today was 47461. Big bet on market decline?
B/A was .1-.2, so they were likely buys vs. sells to open.
CJ - I got it from tradingthecharts.com, a subscription site. I will gladly to send you a copy - email?
It is such a great depiction of crowd behavior at major market turns. LOL
T/A ETF Index board vs. rcp...

PT - above average system %returns? Or above average overall market move up (or down)?
r
K - never got the email; try:
bungee510@yahoo.com
The system was up 16% before the May drop and it missed the short, maybe due to the slow NASI cross.
A significant difference in the two algorithms is the RSI(14) bull short > 79.52, and the bear short RSI(3)>39.4.
Best,
rock
I try to - usually every 2 to 3 days.
Best,
r
For the most part, yes - except i have a nasi co setting of 10/17 for both bull & bear, instead of the 7/23 & 5/23 co's. This gives better returns. I could never get it to 7764X for some reason.
Currently at 6642X.
Best,
r
