Thanks for posting often and words of encouragement to get out. Been watching this off and on since 2007 and today was a good day to flush this. Kind regards to titan11 also who I believe was in this
around 2009 or so.
Please go back and read their SEC filings from Jan-April 2011.In one of these it is disclosed that they are a party
to a lawsuit expected to go to court in the Nov-Dec timeframe. If memory serves, it was Sybase who brought suit.I think
ANTs was hurriedly trying to selloff the company before this but the buyer must have decided to wait for the outcome of
the court action. On the subject of the asset sale, didn't the announcement say "..expected to close on or near Nov___".It
is possible it did not for this very reason. If the decision is favorable an acquisition could soon occur.ANTs hopefully
could sell to an IBM competitor for a better price. Please follow it up and let this board know what you have found.
On the subject of a buyout: in the summer and fall Hewlett-Packard was rumored to be interested in buying and a bunch of speculators jumped in around .10/share and got hosed.Something happened to scuttle the buyout because I believe there was an effort at ANTs to place the company in a bidding war.The turmoil at HP with Leo A. being kicked out might have been a factor. The new CEO may have said no because ANTs beta testers did not sign a contract or ANTs would
have bragged about it.Therein lies the problem. They need tryouts to
become established PAYING customers. But I will honestly tell you that there is a danger here: the technology assets might have been already sold off. They did the same thing in 2008 with their database. It was sold cheap and the common shareholders were told about it later. This information comes to me from someone who was in this and looking to get back in and missed the run.
Much appreciated. With as much trading activity as this stock
has, there are bound to be wild rumors.I will check out an updated presentation.
Questions for the wise:
I have watched Genta since early 1999 but I first bought in,
on impulse, this summer after hearing a rumor that Genasense
was in use for treating gastric cancer in Japan or Asia. Anyone
else heard that?
Also, I have visited their website several times but have not found out what 'other' diseases besides cancer that Genasense is
a possible treatment. Serious replies only.
Pretty bold aren't they? I used to be a Wi-Lan fan back in 1999. I also considered buying shares in 2006 but did not.
Shucks, I should have.

Acacia in action----NO but I could see them doing similar:

Canadian outfit sues Silicon Valley
All your Wi-Fi are belong to us
By Nick Farrell: Monday, 05 November 2007, 9:11 AM
A CANADIAN wireless outfit has sued almost every hardware company with an office Silicon Valley, including Apple, Dell, Hewlett-Packard, Intel, and Sony, and retailers such as Best Buy and Circuit City.
According to Information Week, Wi-Lan has sued 22 companies claiming that they infringed on three of its patents related to Wi-Fi technology and power consumption technology in DSL products. For those who collect numbers, the patent numbers are 5,282,222, RE37,802 and 5,956,323.
Wi-Lan says the 22 outfits made and or sold various products including wireless routers, modems and notebooks with its technology under the bonnet.
In December 2005, Wi-Lan reached a deal with Cisco to settle a similar patent dispute. Under the deal, Cisco purchased several issued and pending patents related to WiMax and antenna technology. In addition, Cisco licensed Wi-Lan's patent portfolio.
Other companies named in the lawsuit are Acer, Atheros Communications, Belkin International, Broadcom, Buffalo Technology (USA), D-Link, Gateway, Infineon Technologies AG, Lenovo Group, Marvell Semiconductor, Netgear, Texas Instruments, Toshiba, Westell Technologies and 2Wire.
More here. µ
Old article mentioniong both Calypso and Acacia here.

Prior Patent Sweeps
Less than a year ago, Acacia Technologies Group told Wi-Fi hotspot operators and wireless ISPs that they must either pay a $1,000 annual licensing fee or face patent infringement lawsuits. The company says it owns the technology behind Wi-Fi gateway page redirection. Acacia sent out information packets along with a 30-day deadline to sign a licensing agreement. Rob Berman, Acacia executive vice president of business development and general counsel, denied the company was 'shaking down' Wi-Fi firms.
Also last year, Canadian WiMax vendor Wi-LAN announced it owned patents on OFDM. That company is also suing Cisco over sales of 802.11a products in Canada using OFDM.
Calypso Wireless declared companies wishing to implement cellular-to-Wi-Fi roaming would have to pony up the licensing fees.
Where are they now? Acacia continues on its patent purchasing binge, the latest in December when it bought Global Patent Holdings LLC and 121 additional U.S. patents. Wi-LAN is losing cash ($2 million US in the first quarter) and replaced its CEO; its stock price fell to .82 cents per share. It traded last year as high as $3.50.
[ this article may be familiar to some of you]
You need a new point of view. This is a monopolist intolerant of others in the marketplace because it wants to push its inferior power-hungry architecture exclusively on the masses. The rising power of the Asian fabs and integrators will humble this abusive giant but apparently not its cheerleading shareholders.
At this point in time I would not invest in any USA chip outfit.
As for my DD being incomplete, don't bet on it. Time after time this company has stumbled through various projects and wasted money. Ex.: Viiv, that notorious Norway company, etc.
Thank you.But I think I will avoid a new position in Intel. For a big company with plenty of capital they seem to be advancing too slowly.Their chips consume too much power, especially for 3rd world countries and Asia, and good settlement or not they did ransack other people's IP.How many other suits are waiting in the wings ? From what I see of TMTA they properly bought other people' s patents but they were run out of the market.
Another point: AMD's anti-trust action will likely damage this company.
RE: TMTA settlement. I just re-read the SEC filing. For the next 5 years there is a flat $20 million to be paid to TMTA by Intel. There is no mention of a per-unit royalty agreement.Does this mean INTEL could employ widespread usage of TMTA IP in their product or minimal and still pay the 20 million ? Am I interpeting this as excellent for Intel but not for TMTA? It seems as if they have suddenly become friendly in spite of their alliance with AMD,who probably hates the terms of this settlement.
Did somebody say CHOO CHOO? One that goes WOO WOO and a conductor in a muumuu?
Hmmmmmmmm. It is tempting to get on this train at .12 a ticket.
Has anybody been concerned that the silver train hasn't arrived
since going public in 1997? Anybody here holding from those days?
Well I've been reading off and on since late 2003. It bugs me that I have put plenty of research time in and what do I have to show for it.
Good Luck , I hope they do it THIS time because this time last year I believed they were done.
I am sure an MM can easily get around the so-called law by simply having an 'associate' post a messsage given to them by the MM.
The SEC probably is too busy watching the behavior of legitimate companies to bother with this one.
The 2nd biggest risk about CLYW is one that I worried about constantly when I was holding shares. That was that the SEC would suspend CLYW from trading on an American exchange and I would be holding shares that would be too tough to get rid of.
Thats what keeps me from buying again.
The first biggest risk has been talked about for years. That the company would never sell anything but stock.
I think it does matter what the stock price is becuase this thing is being traded by people who are pretending to be long-term investors who are truly enthusiastic about the company.
Aha! I didn't think of that .Maybe its because I'm a street gypsy in dirty jeans.
He's also probably got his butlers and maids hanging out the windows of his mansion waving and blowing kisses to him as he drives off into the golden sunset.
To J Winston: I can't believe you bought huge numbers of shares between .01-.05 after the things you have said about CLYW. Weren't you the one,who said under another name on RB, that CLYW was biding its time until going private and then they would sell their valuable software to MSFT??
And if I had made a small fortune in profits on this, I would not be hanging around here.I would be out on spending spree and partying.
Humpty dumps it. "Humpty" is my slang for market makers who like to frequent this board and post about exotic cars and other fantasy while the pps goes up. When its going down these types of posts are few.
One thing for sure: it will take more than a newly-arriving lawyer to turn this thing into a success. It sounds like someone has just gotten paid.
I would not expect much from the ASM in May.
Does anybody remember "DARK SHADOWS"?
That horrid hammy gothic soap opera from the 70s that was badly produced and acted? Well I think the writers from that show are working here on the board. I just read ASNAP's post 25427 and I think his fiction is pretty good but it should not be used to induce someone to buy shares of this--especially at these prices.
While I admit that the move from .02-.50 has been good, and a few people here are deserving of the wealth resulting it does not convince me that CLYW can sell-license its shadowy product. It only owns a few concepts and rents office space, right?
I will watch this out of interest because I was once someone who tried to trade shares. But even as a temporary shareholder I could not convince myself that this thing could succeed on a massive scale.Until then I will enjoy these laughs about you people daydreaming about Bentleys.
"CONTRACT IS COMING --- BUY NOW"
Oh no you don't. You are NOT getting me into this sinking dinghy.
It's a typical pink sheet stock. Fictitious, meaningless news and deals with products that never appear on the market.
Merry Christmas all and that's a very nice tree at the top of the board.
Calypso Worthless is a title that better suits this an investment, gamble, or a memory---especially for those of you unlucky enough to buy shares at .80 ,$1, $2 and higher. You do have a lot to complain about. It sounds like you will never get over it judging by the high numbers of posts here. Why bother hanging around here waiting for the end ? It never really began
did it? Its coming up to about 10 years of Calypso being public. That speaks for itself.
"Anyone who now buys into this scam deserves to lose their entire investment!"
Like you did. The [fictitious?] $ 5,500 loss.
As for me, in at .19 out at .14. No devastating losses for me, but I won't be commiserating here about it.
By the way, thanks to the boards posts I recognized that this thing was dropping and tried to get out as fast as possible.
I was waiting to sell on a bounce/announce of the satrad patent but who knows if they will be in biz by that time.
Good luck to all. I sincerely hope no one hanged themselves or suffered a heart attack, etc over this turn of events.
You and your fat ego on this board leave little room for anything else. What makes your opinion so much better than anyone else's? Can you ever make a point without insulting someone or something?
Why do I ask. You bought your CLYW shares out of greed and you are hurt. Put on a band aid, research another stock and stop trying to impress someone else that you are right.
Whats your point stitch? Are you claiming to know that CLYW has failed its current trials? That there is a status change in the company that you know about and we don't?
I can see that the share price is very low by myself. The fact that many posters have been rude to you is irrelevant to the company's future.
I would not rule Intel out as a possibility. They want to be a force in communications and acquiring the right IP would help them.
Still waiting for the satrad patent to emerge.Good luck to all longs.
Many tech things have been very slow to take-off since 2001.Even the great Qualcomm's rollout of 3G has been disappointing to its investors, not that I'm comparing the two,I wouldn't.
Wi-fi/WiMax will be hindered by security concerns and clyw will be given time to catch-up and improve their phones.
IMHO at this point it would not make sense for me to own 10,000 or more shares until I see deliveries on the POs.
But if you think this company is a failure, make your case for it ONCE and then disappear.

Almost a new 52 week low. I like this price a lot. But I'm going to wait for summer.
Hello to all the longs who persist here.Your posts are great encouragement.
I'm very curious about this one.Their REMAT device seems to good to be true.Since some of the longtime posters of this board think this is too dangerous to play then I will concur with that.
