Did you ask about secureview also?

In the past, didn't McBride advise investors to call AMEX directly? If anyone did, what were they told?
racine
Brettin-
The part that is hard to understand is that he would be taking personal phone calls from you, yet can not at least post a view from the bridge that the report is bogus and he will give a detailed response at a later date.
He touts himself as being a great PR person, yet does not respond to a report which drives the share price down 30% on high volume?
Was he dedicating all his time to AMEX like said he was?
Will this report and drop in share price affect AMEX?
Too much uncertainty right now...

I agree- It is becoming more and more of a circus. I think the bashers are attempting to flood the board with crap so that no one could ever get any useful information...

All this with no/little debt! Which is incredible for a small growing company...
Can't wait to see this snowball :)

Maybe sevu price will be up by x-mas so you can buy a new computer, or at least a modem :)
I find I-hub to be faster than RB.

That is the first thing I thought as well.

Also I e-mailed PAX regarding the commercials. I will let you know what the respone is.

Commercial question....
Has SEVU started advertising on PAX yet?
Also, is it or will it be the same one shown on the weather channel?
Thanks..

Do you know how long it normally takes after they file the 8-A12B, until the time they would actually start trading on AMEX.
Sounds like it is getting close-I was very encouraged that the paperwork is all set...
Lots of bashers on RB- Perhaps a last ditch effort to cover?

I would expect to have more days like yesterday once the promotions start. I think you are right and this is at ground level and those of us with patience will be very happy campers indeed. :)

DK...
When I called yesterday I was able to get to a sales person right away with no wait. So it it does not appear that there would be a problem with the capacity to procees the orders by phone. The salesman was helpful and took the time to look up the local dealer and the phone # for me. I'm curious if the 900 units were mostly individual or part of a larger block (JC Penny?) order. An average daily sales # would be nice, particularly since people will use this as a projection figure.
I don't envision a problem selling the product, it will be a matter of keeping up with demand. I think yesterdays PR put quite a few people at ease. Once these units start shipping, and hopefully AMEX, it should make the x-mas season very merry!
racine
--------------------------------------------------------------
I'm curious too (anxious?).
Do the math, though. If they had sold $237K at 3:30p EDT, that's 594 units ($237K / $399).
With 2 1/2 hours to go, that would be about 900! Are they really selling that many? If so, VERY cool, but I question the capacity too. SEVU doesn't have the capacity to process that many orders if many come in by phone (I'm assuming a high percentage of retail where each order is a single camera).
VERY INTERESTING, though......
Anyone??
Drillbit- Thx for the link! eom
Called SEVU...
I called SEVU (as a prospective customer) and inquire as to how long it would take for me to get a secureview sent to me. I was told 4-6 weeks, which is closer than the 6-8 that I have been hearing. I was also told that the units will be available locally through the SEVU dealers. (There happens to be one near me) They said I could call the dealer ahead of time to order it, and they would hold it for me when they come in.
I was encouraged by this and believe the news yesterday was very positive. I think the pessimistic attitudes will change once these units start shipping, and people start posting to state they have received a secureview, it was easy to install, and it works great. That type of post will inspire the confidence which is lacking. People need to see results, not promises. Pretty soon we will know if SEVU can deliver what it promises.
The share price will take care of it self in time as long as the numbers are met. AMEX would not hurt either...
take care

Maybe he is still proofreading :)
Bull Re: 144
Bull-
Correct me if I am wrong, but aren't these proposed sales, not the actual selling of the shares?
If so it could be they are assuming the price is going to run up and they may want to take some profit. Who would not want to have ability (but not the requirement) to sell? Now if the price continues to drop and they are actually selling that's a different story.
I do think this company needs quit putting time frames in the PRs that they can not keep. When they do not deliver, people are going to assume there is a problem with the company/product. Also investors will start to doubt PR which projects production dates, delivery estimates, AMEX acceptance and sales projections. You can't raise expectations, let people down, and then wonder why they are impatient.
just my 2cents

"1) News of trading on AMEX within 4 weeks..."
I think this is the key. If it takes 4 weeks, I think the price may drop some more. I hope the announcement comes in conjunction with new this week, and that is why the announcement was held up. The lost papers, waiting 4 months, are causing people to get nervous. I hope it is a done deal and it is just a matter of time. Hopefully not much more time...

A dip...
"A dip? A dip? Is that what you call a steady decline from 17 to nearly 9? A dip?"
Tony - I would call this a dip. This is a small OTC stock. If it does go over 100 you will experience alot of ups and downs. It has dropped quite a bit, but has also had some nice runs. You can say "Wow it's down from 28 to 10!" or "Wow it's up from 1(actually less) to 10!" Keep it perspective.
My advice would be look at where the price is every three months rather than every day.
I think if you relax, have a beer(or several) and hang in there you will do fine.
good luck
racine
Hi Tony-
Everyone has different investment experiences and the only way to learn about a particular aspect is to ask a question.
In this forum you will hopefully be able to do that without being attacked like on RB. Also this will prompt other people to post as well. There are so many times I have seen a question asked by someone else, and answered on RB. Even though the person may have been attacked by bashers, there was always a couple of people willing to answer, and subject themselves to attacks as well. These people FG, Bull, and others bore the brunt of the abuse for all of us. (And I thank them)
You sound like an honest guy looking for some answers to help alleviate some fears and get some support. IMHO we need more posters like you...
racine
FG- Re #123
I think people with who post 5 messages which are deleted due to obcenity or personal attacks should just be banned from posting alltogether.
I would hate to see this board get clogged up with people "voting" on individual posts and whether or not they should stay. You are the chairman, and I think we should just let you use your discretion.
If people can't post a question without attacking people, they shouldn't be allowed to post. Five chances are more than enough...

New Letter from McBride...
A Weekly Update from Rich McBride, CEO
August 31, 2000
With the Labor Day Holiday so close, I've decided to move our PR release to next week. We also want to get a review and sign-off on the PR from our new merchandiser. The future looks very bright indeed.
A majority of your emails this week contained questions about trademarks. We are protected in this area. A pending registration on SecureView should be approved shortly. We can prevent anyone from using this name for a camera.
We will not be giving out weekly sales numbers. SeaView has no competition with this technology. However, we are a new player, in a big field--the security-camera arena. It is important that we keep certain information confidential.
I'm asked constantly about my agency, McBride and Associates--spec ifically about our representation of other public companies, and compensation. SeaView pays the standard retainer, as do other companies, with the major exception that SeaView did NOT tender any stock. The web site is www.rlmcbride.com and we handle Winners Internet Network (WINR), easyQual.com (EQLC), and World Am Communications (WLDC).
I've recently taken a look at several message boards. It was a major displeasure to follow some of the threads. I respect our right to free speech, but I'm also aware of what constitutes vulgar trash. We have elected to link our website to InvestorsHub.com and intend to actively publicize that site. From time to time, management and the agency will utilize the board for posting general information, such as TV ad schedules.
The R&D staff will be working this weekend, but most of our employees will be getting a much-needed break. This company is fortunate to have a very dedicated group of people. I would like to thank all my partners in SeaView for supporting the company, and wish each of you a safe and happy weekend.
Rich

I have Fidelity also, and had problems. I had topped off on FCLX the day before and I am glad I did. I have not been happy with Fidelity, and probably would switch if it was not my only choice in my work retirement plan.
Whenever I have called them with a problem related to the speed of execution, or lack thereof, for OTC-BB trades they tell me basically "That's what I get for trading penny stocks and that I should stay away from them." The website is slow. The way the fee structure is set up some trades are cheaper to use the touch tone rather than online. Once I sold a mutual fund 1 day before a six month waiting period was up and they charged me $75.00.
Yesterday they showed my money as unavailable, and I could not get ATTL quotes.
Oh well.... when ATTL starts flying I won't be doing any complaining :)
good luck...

If the stock goes to $100.00 you are not going to be worried that you bought at $10.00. I am in at $15.00 and didn't sell any when it made the run up to $28.00, or went down under $10.00. I plan on holding this for a couple of years, and I am not going to stress out over short term price fluctuations. I only wish I had gotten in sooner like you did.
You have to make a decision based on what's ahead of you, not behind. With AMEX, sales reports, contracts all ahead, this stock is just entering it's prime. (My opinion) The MM manipulation and short term price fluctuations gives you a chance to load up cheap.
Regarding opening an internet account- It is very easy, and most have low minimums. You will also save a bundle on fees!
Good Luck :)

FG- Nice Board...
I just don't have the time to wade through all the crap(on RB) in order to get to the good stuff. In most cases I would not be supportive of a regulated board, but this is quite an exception.
FG- You have always come forward to answer tough questions from skeptical investors and bashers. This can be time consuming, particularly when the questions are asked over and over with the sole objective of the person asking the question being to raise doubt, rather than trying to find information. (Such as YIT with the patent question) I hope this board works out. Thank you for your time and effort to create a good environment for investors.
