President Trump Speaks on Need to Streamline US Army Corps of Engineers
https://www.c-span.org/video/?c4718618/president-trump-speaks-streamline-army-corps-engineers
<Here in Alaska, we have the example of Bob Gillam using his privately funded foundations to obstruct the Pebble Mine so as to nothing takes place anywhere near his lodge (estate) in Bristol Bay. The coastal elites in California are doing the same thing in that state, systematically shutting down all resource extraction and land use in the state. This has had the predictable disastrous impact on the economy of both CA and the US as a whole, for those same concepts are informing what the EPA and Department of the Interior have been doing for decades.>
<This is corruption of the highest sort and is a complete and absolute disaster. Get the report and read it. We have a lot to do in the next decade or so unraveling this mess.>

"This explains how a left wing Billionaire’s club was using EPA. The
Natural Resources Defense Council that sent the most protest to the EPA on Pebble is controlled by this group. Hopefully this report indicates this group will be losing it’s power."

Don’t blame it on Pebble Mine!
So now the Salmon not only contains radiation from Fukushima disaster but also diesel odor.
https://www.adn.com/alaska-news/rural-alaska/2018/03/18/feds-pay-2-million-disposing-of-derelict-fishing-vessel-in-unalaska/
"The Coast Guard scuttled the Akutan in late January, sinking the 166-foot ship in the Bering Sea 25 nautical miles north-northwest of Dutch Harbor. It arrived in August, escorted by the Coast Guard cutter Midgett, following a disastrous Bristol Bay salmon experience.”
"The vessel was intended to provide an alternative market for a group of 15 Bristol Bay salmon gillnet boat fishermen last summer, Russian Old Believers from the Homer area. They formed their own company, Bristol Bay Seafoods LLC, and hired Akutan owner Larry Lang's company, Klawock Oceanside, to process and freeze their fish. But plans soon went awry. Mechanical failures plagued the boat. The Akutan didn't arrive in Nushagak Bay from Seattle until the salmon run was nearly over. The crew went unpaid, although the mortgage holder, a subsidiary of the Arctic Slope Regional Corporation, bought them tickets home and gave them $500 each as they passed through Anchorage.”
"According to Brehan Kohl of the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation, "about 78.84 tons of fish was disposed of at the Anchorage Landfill on Oct. 11, 2017 due to diesel odor. We were informed that Bristol Bay Seafoods submitted samples for sensory analysis which revealed the diesel odor."
Looks like smart shorts are covering after Pruitt gave them what might be the last chance to do it:
https://www.thelincolnianonline.com/2018/03/18/northern-dynasty-minerals-ltd-nak-short-interest-update.html
According to Tiffany and Co.,
....... about TIF, they got their own problems:
https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/TIF?p=TIF
Someone is scooping all they can @.901, Shorty must be covering given Pruitt's chance to do it with his latest head scratch. Smart money is covering! Let's see the next short reports if short interest decreased.
Oh the twist and turns in NAK world, this could surprise all as the last stint by Pruitt might not make Trump to happy and he might be put in different position:
<Trump is planning to fire Attorney General Jeff Sessions - a decision that would certainly complicate Robert Mueller's investigation (perhaps that's the intention). According to the report, the leading candidate to replace Sessions would be EPA administrator Scott Pruitt.>
What a fish knows?
So the Greenes don’t want mines in Alaska, what will happen when other greenes will try to stop others from eating that fish? PETA for fish?
Maybe Alaskans will pick up berries in the summer and collect welfare rest of the year?
Casinos in Alaska anyone?
Thanks, will do.

Looks like the deal on track:
First Quantum statements on NAK:

Paid the Early Option Price Instalment of $37.5 million on the option agreement on December 15, 2017
CNA Finance has a discussion about short manipulation of NAK today.
https://cnafinance.com/northern-dynasty-minerals-nak-stock-get-ready-for-a-strong-day/18055
This is the main point from that article....
"At the moment, NAK is hitting a key limit. The reality is that there are under 10,000 shares available to short on the stock. While this may sound like a pretty big chunk, with more than 4 million shares trading hands in the average session, the amount of shares that can be shorted at the moment is nothing but a drop in the bucket.
So, this means that the shorts don’t have control over the stock today. With so few shares available to shorts, if longs start to push, the stock is going to go up. That’s exactly what we’re seeing from NAK."
Cantor Fitzgerald: Buy rating and C$3.00 target for NDM
According to Cantor Fitzgerald:

Permitting Continues to Advance at Pebble
EVENT
The U.S. Army Corps. of Engineers (“the Corps”) has selected AECOM, a U.S. based multi-national engineering firm, as the independent third party that will complete the Environmental Impact Statement (“EIS”) at Pebble.
BOTTOM LINE
Positive – Notwithstanding the unexpected EPA announcement last week, the reality is that permitting at Pebble under the well-established National Environmental Policy Act (“NEPA”) guidelines continues to advance. We maintain our Buy rating and $2.50/C$3.00/share price target.........................cont....

82 Institutions holding NAK
https://www.nasdaq.com/symbol/nak/institutional-holdings
NAK was way oversold, older shorts got a chance to cover, newer shorts are the bag holders now and Bob Gillan et. al. got his chance to cover and maybe even go long after his dinner with Pruitt.

Had a feeling this what has happened with Pruitt decision, maybe giving Gillam chance to cover and go long, could the safe mine still co-exist with the Salmon?
http://www.gvnews.com/national/entertainment/salmonfest-in-a-time-of-trump/article_b553e1cf-0611-5ff0-868a-50b58d781955.html
Alaskan's need to think about plan "B" as in natural resources.
So how much longer that Salmon will survive with or without the mines?
NAK just in case.....................

Bob Gillam was given chance to cover his short position, after all he went to school with Trump.
Someone is buying all these shares for last few days.
Northern Dynasty: Buy The Dip $NAKhttp://www.seekingalpha.com/article/4140883
Bob Gillam must get a chance to cover his shorts and get on board before the good news hits. The big boys got to take care of themselves, after all he went to school with Trump.
JMHO.
Being that Bob Gillam not running for Governor of Alaska now he might decide with all his Billions under control to change it from “Not in my Neighborhood” to "I own the neighborhood" and make an offer for NAK, giving Alaskans 100K+/year jobs instead of fishing for 6 weeks and picking berries for few weeks for minimum wages and collecting welfare rest of the year.
Then on the other hand he and his company can short and naked short the $2 stock to death unless big major steps in.
