Dr Bala. No offense but I don’t think you understand the difference between plenary and poster. I’d take plenary 1000x over a poster. Look at any accomplished physicians’ CV. Posters are at the bottom (of at all) and LBA/plenary are near the top.
Pre-Covid, posters are lost in a sea of posters. 25% are personally represented by the authors and the others are empty. People walking by may stop because they are interested or maybe because they
feel like the author is presenting their 5th science fair project.
Plenary sessions are always quick - yes, 10 minutes. But the entire world of Clinical Science starts here, followed by scientific symposia, publications, PRs, and a massive marketing machine. And yes, eventually a 40x60 trade show booth.
Gary et al. Everyone is stuck on the amount of time to present TLD. Grab your stopwatch and read this phrase... “the endpoints have been met”.
SP jumps to $7
No change in share price for the day! I want a recount!!
I know that these upcoming events have been posted on this board in piece-meal format, but to ensure visibility to everyone, I thought I would clean up the list. I apologize in advance, as I plan to post these several times between now and Nov 20th. With increased traffic on iHub by prospective shareholders, I think it's very important to highlight these significant events while we are awaiting what we hope will be positive TLD... GLTA

IMO... SNO will be the Main Event. In my years of experience, it is ripe for TLD!
In other words, LL will provide a small lecture at UAB with some Q&A for a game changer vs. an International SNO plenary?
Appreciate the positive perspective but for the venue/topics that will happen, you’re a little liberal with your imagination
It’s very common to embargo a PR with result. As I’ve said numerous times, 10 minutes is more than enough time for TLD. Just watch!!!!
Fair point. However, it’s a poster presentation, so all three names will be included (or 67 authors) but only one is usually present.
Sorry, but I think SNO is the logical choice to share TLD. SNO doesn’t allow for a deep dive (10 min). But would love to see an aligned NEJM pub with SNO.
Wait! Give this some thought.
With the updated study endpoints, those have never been presented or published in the clinical setting (but common practice early on). Does it seem logical that the SITC poster is only the presentation of the new study design/endpoints and rationale? It provides an explanation but doesn’t require TLD.
Then it lines up nicely with the slam dunk plenary on 11/20. IMO, I would put everything on 11/20. I’d love to see a run up until then.
Thanks for the updates. I will correct everything and repost later.
Updated dates/times for upcoming presentations (post as a sticky?):

I tried to do the exact same thing on Fidelity and it wouldn't allow me to place it...
"The limit price you entered is too far away from the last trade for this security. For sell limit orders on stocks trading between $1 - $4.99, the sell limit price cannot be greater than $7.50."
Yes!!! Big news!!! Willy Wonka has decided to open up his factory to the public!!!!
In others words, take your Robinhood account of 100 shares of NWBO and trolling arse to the Yahoo message boards. Thanks.
I disagree. If good news, you want a clinician deliver the news (and benefit to patients) versus a CEO delivering the business news (and benefit to shareholders). Provides a lesser optic.
I once saw a clinician that had a large equity stake in a company present TLD. It was not perceived well and put the society in bad light.
I’m putting all my money on 11/20. Why?
1. Seems logical that it’s the furthest date from today, based on how management approaches timelines.
2. It’s the furthest away from the election (however, we still won’t have election results then).
3. 11/20 @ SNO is prime time! Main “stage” locked and loaded for the esteemed and well revered oncologist.
4. Closest to Thanksgiving, a date that I plan to give LOTS of thanks.
5. Closest to Black Friday, a date that I plan to buy hundreds of new socks.
In the meantime, I wouldn’t mind a slow run up until 11/20.
Good luck to all!
Sojo55 - On 8/29/2020, I tossed my last sock in honor of Doc and it landed perfectly! Check out my post# 302759.
Take a look at that date. The SP had strongly hung around 0.33 but soon after the sock toss, the climb began! I took that is a perfect sign and I'm leaving it alone. Even with the poor performance the last 2 weeks, I'm sticking with it. Maybe you can provide a socknostication for me!?
Welcome back Sojourner55! We were all starting to get dizzy without you. Hope you're feeling better.
David's contact number is: 804-513-4758
Give him a ring!
I hate to say it, but this week feels like it will go down as a memorable blood bath week. Feeling like today will revolve around 0.85, Thursday around 0.70 and then finishing the week off at 0.50.
Absolutely ugly. This sucks. I hope I am wrong!
Updates are the responsibility of the sponsor and not the FDA. Apparently someone at NWBO isn’t paid enough to bother making updates.
Thanks Flipper - I'm off to register!
Thanks Flip. Is this a closed event? I couldn't find anywhere to register. Makes me think it's less of a target to discuss/release TLD.
Feel better Sojo! You’re absence will be missed. Let’s hope that Flipper doesn’t think he can take over your chart work.
Anyone hungry for Sushi?
Is it me or have the weekends gotten looooonger?!
Let’s make this a week to remember. GLYA!
Takes ten seconds to say missed or made endpoints.
Interesting that speculation has slowed significantly, at least re: posting on this MB. Everyone is waiting. Socks halted (thanks Doc).
As always, thank you to Doc, Flip, Sojo, Senti, Beartrap, Captain, and sorry, several others. Eventually, I will miss your daily entry into my life. A sincere thank you!!!! Seems bizarre to be sentimental about a MB, but it’s been amazing! GLTYA and above all, patients that will WIN!!!!!! And Pumpernickelllllllllllllllllllllllllll!!!!!
Did you just apply your sous vide cooking technique to your chart? Very tasty!!!!
That’s what she said.
Fabio... Linda Powers was picked up as a free agent by the NY Jets in 2016 as their third strong QB. She made the decision to halt the clinical trial but instead had Les Goldman take over the reigns. Out of nowhere, the Jets benched their QB and Linda was now the backup. And at the same time, Les was called up to be the sideline reporter for the Jets. Broadway Les, they called him. Unfortunately, this was going to cause a significant delay. 15 QBs later, Linda decided that now wasn’t the time and it was time to get back to “work”. She traded in her cleated so she could hit home runs. And that, my young Fabio, is why it’s taken us 13 years. The New York F$cking Jets.
Granted, since we’re OTC vs. Nasdaq, maybe it should be Cracked Magazine vs. Mad
Correct, it was posted in response to Hiawatha.
Even looking at general conference agendas, topics run by the minute... like...
9:00 - 9:07 Topic 1
9:07 - 9:14 Topic 2
9:14 - 9:21 Topic 3
9:21 - 9:28 Topic 4
9:28 - 9:35 Panel Q&A
10 minutes is typical for just about every conference that presents TLD. Hiawatha needs to also understand that conferences are a huge revenue stream. If this was a regular in-person conference, NWBio would sponsor a Satellite Symposium in the afternoon after LBCT. It would cost NWBio hundreds of thousands to sponsor but they would spend 60 minutes going deeper into the findings. If LBCT data was presented in a longer format, the revenue for symposia would dry up.
Hiawatha is probably thinking of the old days when he gave book reports but didn't bother reading the book and had to rely on Cliff Notes.
Hiawatha (any chance you're from MN?)
I'm guessing that you haven't been to a medical conference where LBCT data is presented. 10 minutes will be more than sufficient (if not ideal to tease the audience and make them salivate for more). Dr. Liau will approach the "podium" and present something like the following:
- Title slide
- Disclaimers & Conflicts of Interest
- Methods/Study design (structure of the trial
- Study governance
- Patient flow (arms, crossover, etc.)
- Patient baseline characteristics
- Patient Outcomes (THIS IS THE TDL) - primary & secondary endpoints
- Kaplan Meier curve out to 5-years
- One other fluff slide
- Conclusion slide
I should note, with regard to only having 10 minutes to present, she really only needs 2 minutes and only to present the Patient Outcomes and Kaplan-Meier curve slides.
Those two slides are HUGE. The rest of the detail will come out in PRs (embargoed to be release in parallel with the presentation) and more importantly a publication in a journal with a high-impact factor (e.g. NEJM, JAMA, Mad Magazine), which has probably already been written, and unblinded data being dropped in as we speak. IMO, unless we hear non-TLD news, the next milestone will be 11/20.
Sojo... chart me something good!
