"TLD just round the corner."
Is that like when Trump said that "we are rounding the corner"?
10-Q won’t reveal anything. History has told us that. It’s time to stop talking about it like it matters.
A moment of silence for Dr. Liau's plenary presentation that never happened today!!
So much for a beautiful SNO... looking like a brown Christmas after all.
The only difference between us and LP & DI is they are playing poker with all of us on the low stakes table. Worst case for them, they bust, and then they head back to the VIP section to count the money that they've already made as part of NWBO's C-Suite.
“It is now Sep 84th”
I’ve said it before... NWBO is operating on the metric calendar.
Every month has 100 days. 100 months in a year.
Why does this question keep getting asked... if TLD is positive, the sp will shoot through the roof. Why negotiate at $1.20?
Have you ever played power? If you have pocket rockets (2 aces) in your hand, that equates to $1.20 share price. But if two more aces come out on the flop (positive TLD), then now you have $10 shares.
However, if no aces come out and all you have is a pair (diamond and heart) but a spade flushes is sitting on the table, you now have a share price of $0.05.
Summary: you negotiate early if you aren’t confident in the data or de-risk your investment. Be acquired now for $1B. Or if you’re confident, call “all-in” and wait for the flop and hope you have the opportunity to be acquired for $20B (or shutter the business).
IMHO, the delay points to LP’s confidence and willingness to “all-in” and wait for positive data and a big payout!!! Let’s hope.
Brrrrr... it’s so cold....
Maybe we all head to Mpls and party like it’s 1999...
I think it’s a virtual SNO...
Gracias mate!!!!!
Brrrrrrrr... it’s SNOing in MN
I will see you all tomorrow morning!!! Dress warm.
IMHO, I have this super weird feeling about tomorrow morning. Let's hope I'm right. Good Luck to all the Longs!
Does anyone have a coat I can borrow? It's getting cold...
Maybe I need to purchase one along with some SNO shoes.
Anyone feel the chill in the air?
Thermometer read 32 degrees Fahrenheit.
Feels like SNO.
Always love these charts. Sojo - can you also show the incredibly consistent channel for the past 90 days?
I received the exact same call last night! They must be in dire need for shares. Rather insane.
Just got off the phone and blocked their access. Thanks for the heads up.
Senti - are you asking me to revisit sock tossing, even after I tossed the most perfect landing that led to the quad multiple?
Socks aren't about practicing. It's fate. And I don't want to tempt fate, my darling Senti.
We need to be patient. As someone from Minnesota, SNO is coming.
This message board is driving me crazy.
I mean, it's sort of funny that this message board will go crazy over the possibility that unripe and blinded data is highly likely to be presented at a small lecture (and even happens), and then, we're about to launch SNO tomorrow, the data has been blinded and ample time has passed for the review of all parties, and yet no energy around the possibility of TLD concurrent with SNO.
I realize that LL withdraw her plenary, but still!!! The silence around this strikes me as being ironic. Is it just me?
Anyone? Anyone? Is this mic on?
Any chance Les owns a Delorean?
1.21 gigawatts?!?
Purely socknostication: TLD is published in NEJM tomorrow morning (Thursday are publication days), which corresponds with the first day of SNO. NWBO would presumably issue a PR with details.
This would provide a full picture and context of the data while providing talking points around a 13 year study. Much better than a 10 minute talk by LL.
Any other star I haven’t aligned?
Not it.
It is eery, isn’t it.
Anyone have line of sight to ask/bid?
AngeloFoca... what was it like being Linda Power’s father?
I have a crush on you Cassie
Pete Rose was also there but he did not bet on NWBO or baseball.
Did it strike you as strange that so much time was spent on it even though she wrote the book on immunotherapies and there hasn’t really been a data today since 2018? Clearly, she must be spending a lot of time thinking about it and has no financial interest in it.
Thanks Dr. Bala and all for the coverage. Quick question, what percentage of her hour did she spend talking about DCVax?
How about meeting somewhere in the middle...
== Incompetently Intentional ==
"Quiet period".
Haven't they been in a quiet period for the last 13 years?
She won’t reveal a god damn thing.
Correct.
Abstracts, posters, and plenaries, oh my!
Lions, tigers, and bears, oh my!
Flippers, Docs, and Scotty, oh my!
At the end of the day, a simple press release can be used for TLD.
I did a super quick search of Phase 3 trials from Merck's website...
https://www.merck.com/news/merck-and-bayers-investigational-drug-vericiguat-meets-primary-endpoint-in-phase-3-study-of-patients-with-worsening-chronic-heart-failure/
Where was this presented? And what format was it presented in? What physician presented it?
Just a press release - including this line "The results of the VICTORIA study will be presented at an upcoming medical meeting in 2020."
Captain...
Your uninformed opinion and my uninformed thoughts:
1. L-L reveals all Friday - She will not. It's the wrong venue and timing for something this huge.
2. PR released simultaneously, or sometime over the weekend - Anyone PR professional will tell you that if you have bad news, you release it on a Friday so no one will read it (especially during this election). Let's hope it's not Friday.
3. Details fleshed out at SITC - a poster is not the right mechanism to share this info. SNO would have been better than SITC (even if it is 10 minutes).
4. Celebrations ensue - Not yet.
IMHO...
Bad data - the release it on Friday (within their 4 day window) and that's why they cancelled SNO. The poster may provide more detail on bad data.
Good data - if they cancelled SNO and it's good data, they maybe weren't ready for SNO. This is where I am subscribing to Flipper's suggestion around ESMO.
I can't even imagine how a publication could be issued as soon as next week. They have only been unblinded for a little over a month. The paper would have to be written (arguably, it could have been written a long time ago without data) but it would need to go through the (several) rounds of peer review before acceptance, and that seems to be 6 to 9 months.
HORSE - my question was in regard to your comment "it’s been posted that this poster session isn’t your typical poster session."
Where has this statement been posted?
Where was that posted Horseb4cart?
Kids! Arghhhhhh! The detail lies with the publication. If it matters, it Will be in NEJM, JAMA, or Mad.
Said it before and I’ll say it again
It’s not about prestige but about impact factor.
