We may actually do a million in volume on the north side. Crazy. AMG you got that Gaga and Tony Bennett song stuck in my head lol
AMG your DD has always been on point but you have outdone yourself.
So our compound clearly outperforms Cenicriviroc and that drug was purchased for 1.7 Billion from Tobira Therapeutics which bolstered their SP from $5 to $39 per share. "Hypothetically" our compound should be worth more but even if the same valuations are used we are looking at billions. Meaning this SP could keep trending up and we could easily be looking at $50 per share. Keep loading up folks.
Thanks AMG. Solid close today!
So hypothetically if Nash Pharma can make a similar deal based on the results of their latest compound what type of SP are we potentially looking at here?
Thank you good sir for taking the time to enlighten me. Lets see where the wind takes us.
So I have a question. I have been a long time Cannabix investor but have been keeping my eye on Breathtec very closely. Is it the consensus here that BTHCF could surpass BLOZF once the ball gets rolling on the ROU device? Or are they going to move in conjucture with one another? Or are we waiting for some pharmaceutical conglomerate to buy these guys up? Any insight anyone can offer here would be helpful. I have read all of your posts so far. They have been helpful.
Deathcrosssss.. get out while you still can.
*insert pic of Grim Reaper and other frightening iconography*
What deathcross? The whole sector is down.
Minitat's take on the Resolving Power matter.
"I believe the piece actually says a lot.
Resolving Power, as applied to a spectrum of analysis, is the ability of a spectrometer to separate 2 adjacent peaks in a spectrum. To determine recency of use, it is easier to identify more powerful concentrations of a substance closer to the actual time of use. As time passes from initial usage, the intensity of the substance decreases and is therefore more difficult to determine exact time of usage within an acceptable margin of error.
My takeaway is that BLO has the recency of use nailed to within the generally accepted 2 hour recency of use window. I believe that they are further refining that recency of use to go beyond 2 hours, when the analysis becomes harder due to deterioration of the substance of interest. Instead of just good enough, I believe their goal is to exceed the standard
As federal rules and regulations are modified to to determine impaired scales of marijuana use at 1 hour, 2 hours, 2 plus hours (to mimick blood alcohol deterioration), I believe BLO is leaning forward to have their device accurately capable of resolving power issues well beyond 2 hours - to benefit LEA field usage and the legal system.
Furthermore, the fact that there is a short list of 2 medical eqipment manufacturers stated, BLO is closer to field testing than I had previously thought. When a company puts out a a tender for equipment, the competitors will respond with prototypes for the company to lab test and determine compliance with the statement of requirements. I believe that BLO likely has these prototypes in hand and field testing will be done with (a) both devices if they are closely matched, or (b) the preferred device if it is clearly superior to the other device.
I believe the next NR will be a combined (a) testing complete and (b) partnering manufacturer announced, and it will be sooner rather than later.
All of the above my opinion only from reading/dissecting the BLO NR's and progress updates"
You broke down all the words in the excerpt except the most important one.
"Working to improve"
Improve: to make or become better.
Does not state they are attempting to solve a problem but they are still looking for ways to "improve" resolving power.
Since ppl here like facts.. heres a big fact. It's a fact that I can count on one hand how many Draeger devices have been sold in Canada. This is not about pride or ego.. facts only. Yet some ppl here still speak about Draeger it like its an issue. All major cities said clear as day "NO".. which I am happy about. I would prefer not to have my tax dollars wasted. The writings on the wall if you can read hieroglyphics.
Good pick up. This Maata guy according to the Linkedin profile you provided is a senior designer at RocTool Inc which specializes in plastic design moulds and injections and this guy was awarded options? It would seem the manufacturing process is underway. Well at least the design moulds are being created.
Oh boy pullin out the big artillery..Huestis quotes lol
There are already signs of the Draeger not holding up. Police departments in Canada are already stating they will not be using the device due to temperature issues and its high cost.
https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa/ottawa-police-cannabis-test-1.4819520
This is not made up stuff.. this is coming from a chiefs mouth on national news. Not random Huestis quotes praising spit. Enter BLOZF to solve the issue. As per NR we are close. BLO Long!
Sounds like a crystal ball theory to me.
Odd that this stock is up 15% today and instead of any insight as to why all I see are 80% of todays post attempting to troll AMG and no actual info lol
I am not concerned at all about the semantics. Patiently awaiting this NR.
Shellll.. you have any ideas?
I'm still with you Shell and it seems we are all that remains of the optimists. Ah yes.. BLOZF gonna BLO. Here til the wheels fall off.
They are using spit.. yes. It is going to be accepted.. for now. Shell had a post a few weeks back about the conglomerate Draeger getting their last slice of the pie before this technology gets completed phased out and breath becomes the future. Its a subjective opinion.. but I share the same sentiment.
Degrees Celcius****
"A study published earlier this year in the Journal of Analytical Toxicology examining the use of the device in Norway shows that the Dräger DrugTest 5000 “did not absolutely correctly identify DUID (driving under the influence of drugs) offenders due to fairly large proportions of false-positive or false-negative results compared to drug concentrations in blood.”
The study included over 300 Norwegian drivers who were tested for impairment using both the oral device as well as a blood sample. It found that the proportion of false-positive results generated by the device compared to the finding of a blood sample was 14.5 per cent for cannabis, and 87.1 per cent for cocaine.
As well, compared to drivers whose blood samples showed their THC levels were above the legal limit, 13.5 per cent of drivers showed false-negatives, meaning the THC in their system was not detected by the oral screen.
The study’s authors said that the Norwegian Mobile Police— who have been using the device since 2015— claim it was “still a valuable tool in identifying possible DUID offenders, resulting in more than doubling the number of apprehended DUID offenders.”
The article also makes mention that the device can only operate between temperatures of 4 degrees and 40 degrees. The concerns swarming the device flaws are not my own.. only the largest Canadian news networks.

Draeger will not be an effective means for testing for use in Canada.. despite government approval. Also will take half hour minimum time to administer test. If only there was a company out there working on non-saliva based THC detection which could determine recency of use and can function in cold weather climate.. *sigh*
Two words.. be.. patient. Many here are getting worked up and spinning their mental wheels. Legalization is 2 months away. The end game is near. We have all waited this long. Whats another two months?
We have no clue what is going on behind the scenes so lets stop guessing. If you believe they are the future then stay invested if you dont then its on you to make a decision. Simple. Hound has pics and are tooting their horn around like they are the greatest thing since sliced bread.. but there is way more strength in the silence. Not the one parading their device around like a pageant winner. The silent one who watches the chaos around and waits for the right moment to drop the bomb is the one to watch. I personally do not believe in Hounds science.. nor their devices ability to perform in cold weather. They are just there. Which is cool. Nobody can even properly explain the science behind Hound. Because they are flaky like croissants and cannot determine recency of use. They also use disposable cartridges. I personally do not care whose faith is shaken and whose is not. I know what I'm holding. Hopefully the rest of you do too.
Nonsensical*
Lol jokes aside there are actually some knowledgeable posters over there sprinkled in amongst the nonsecial jabbering. Wait.. I'm having a deja vu.
Criminal Code
Bill to Amend—Third Reading—Debate Adjourned
Hon. Gwen Boniface moved third reading of Bill C-46, An Act to amend the Criminal Code (offences relating to conveyances) and to make consequential amendments to other Acts, as amended.
(2040)
Hon. Marc Gold: Honourable senators, as you know, the Standing Senate Committee on Legal and Constitutional Affairs voted to remove all references to mandatory alcohol screening from Bill C-46, and in so doing the committee rejected the central policy change the bill had introduced to combat the scourge of drunk driving in Canada. I believe the committee was wrong to amend the bill as they did.
Motion in Amendment
Hon. Marc Gold: Therefore, honourable senators, in amendment, I move:
That Bill C-46, as amended, be not now read a third time, but that it be further amended in clause 15,
(a)on page 23, by replacing line 35 (as replaced by decision of the Senate on June 4, 2018) with the following:
“320.27 (1) If a peace officer has reasonable grounds to”;
(b)on page 24, by adding the following after line 17:
“(2) If a peace officer has in his or her possession an approved screening device, the peace officer may, in the course of the lawful exercise of powers under an Act of Parliament or an Act of a provincial legislature or arising at common law, by demand, require the person who is operating a motor vehicle to immediately provide the samples of breath that, in the peace officer’s opinion, are necessary to enable a proper analysis to be made by means of that device and to accompany the peace officer for that purpose.”; and
(c)on page 34, by replacing line 18 (as replaced by decision of the Senate on June 4, 2018) with the following:
“conducted under paragraph 320.27(1)(a); and”.
The Hon. the Speaker: In amendment it was moved by the Honourable Senator Gold, seconded by the Honourable Senator Pate, that Bill C-46, as amended, be not now read a third time, but that it be further amended in clause 15 — shall I dispense?
Hon. Senators: Dispense.

From our good friend Viking over at Stockhouse. Amendments made to C46 specifying breath!!!
I like how amongst this back and forth meaningless dialogue the only piece of useful information was completely ignored lol.. thanks Euroconversions! I see you. And thank you for the useful info.
Hound's device will be using disposable cartridges and will not be able to work in tandem with a large mass spectrometer. Not practical. Think about how many cartridges per device will need to be purchased. Hound is like a Dodge. Cannabix will be the Benz. Not worried about their device. The upside to being a private company is you can tell the public anything and not be held accountable or even need to tell the truth. Essentially you can lie and get away with it. Hound sucks lol.
Health! Excellent post and thank you for this great great info. Much appreciated really.
I couldn't agree more in pushing management for transparency. We definitely hold the right as shareholders to know and those scenarios you painted could very well be true.
On the other side though.. it is possible that publicly traded companies in talks with governments and lawmakers may be forced to hold silence until finalizing said laws (including updates on progress). I know this has been reiterated on this board before and can come off as a piss poor excuse for them and they could be chilling with Mojitos on some resort but it also could still very well be true. Nobody holds back secrets like the government (or their potential affiliates).
So here is another scenario.. Huestis name holds alot of weight worldwide as you mentioned. Maybe her affiliation with BLOZF was/is more of a formality and she isn't as in-the-know as we would like to think. That seminar you quoted was dated March 15th (just over a month before Cannabix last press release). Then we got an update. Her name could be there at the beginning simply to increase credibility. Doesn't necessarily mean she has all the answers where the progress of the MS based THC breathalyzer is concerned. Sounds like something that was communicated to her from another party. Maybe she too is waiting for an update lol. Again just trying to see other possible scenarios.
Disregard my first post. MS is already the gold standard. A gold standard which does not work. Which may make it more of a bronze standard.
In all fairness to your point those words from her did seem a bit pessimistic where the breathalyzer is concerned, however a lot can transpire in 3 months (as most of us on this board know) and maybe the kinks have been worked out. I guess we will see when she speaks in Ottawa. Should be a doozy. If it's open to the public I may make the drive. I'm about 5 hours away
AMG, I appreciate and respect your posts but need some clarification on this Huestis matter. Is it your belief or opinion that she has 180'd on her work in advocacy for establishing MS as the gold standard? Based on the quoted text you supplied would that not technically, make her pro swab? To my knowledge that technology is flawed where recency of use is concerned and has already been dismissed. Definitely seems odd.
Doesn't sound too damaging to me. Sounds like she and her colleagues are trying to establish MS as the gold standard of THC detection. As far as my knowledge goes, Cannabix is the only company creating a device using this method thus far.
I sense a lack of faith in this company by most posters here. I do not find it disturbing as I like to look at things dispassionately. As far as doubting Huestis affiliation with Cannabix. Her name is still on the site so I guess we can take that for what it is. As silent as management has been it seems that they are all holding onto their shares. I'm sure there is good reason for that. Maybe they know something we don't that they aren't at liberty to discuss with the general public. The silence has been frustrating. But maybe its also golden? Just one mans opinion.
Great posts everyone. One sign of encouragement that we can hold on to is there is currently no more inside selling of common shares. Is that correct? As I recall Kal used to do a lot of shuffling around buying and selling shares however that is no longer. Should it be a good sign management is grasping their shares a bit tighter?
Also seems coincidental that Huestis will be speaking in Ottawa the same week the final vote in Parliament is taking place.
I think we need to stop trying to predict what's going to happen and speculations as to whats going on behind the scenes. None of us know. All we know is BLO has a device ready and the Canadian government needs one. Logically one would assume they are in talks. That process, as Kal mentioned in a previous interview, takes 8 months or so to attain court approval.
I know we are all salivating for news from Cannabix. Myself included. We all stand to make alot of money here so ones patience may be tested from time to time. Let's just roll with it, instead of standing next to a closed door with our ear pressed up against it to trying to make out muttered words. Most of us here know what we are holding and that should be enough reassurance. I'm long and waiting patiently for an update. As Shell mentioned.. annual meeting is April 17th. Hope we get an update then.
