Here's a random list of goodies one can currently purchase with Dogecoins :)
http://www.dogecoins.com/spend.php
I highly doubt it, Dogecoin currently has a market cap just shy of 94 million. Find it hard to believe JC will achieve the same ;)
FWIW I wouldn't categorize Dodgecoin as a joke, rather its development was playful, had solid developers, and formed a friendly and committed community around it.
Personally, I would wait on that. Too early to know if it will perform.
Give it time, it will go back up, just a hangover from the Bitcoin exchange ban in China.
Sorry, but this is an uninformed opinion
I preferred this response to his statements regarding the soundness of Bitcoin:
". . . PM’s former global trading macro head offered the less politically-correct, “Jamie, you're a great boss and the GOAT bank CEO. You're not a trader or tech entrepreneur. Please, STFU about trading $BTC.”" *
:)

I'm not sure I understand your question? Bitcoin is measured in Satoshi's. You can buy in increments up to 8 places after the decimal in BTC, i.e. 1 Satoshi = 0.00000001. You can buy $1 or $10,000 USD of BTC, or what ever amount you desire.
That sucks! I can't believe they won't let you trade it. E Trade allows full online trading of BITCF
E Trade allows online gray market trading of BITCF
It's easy to buy Bitcoin directly and/or switch it to other Altcoins. These are trustworthy exchanges in the US.
#1 Gemini.com safe & secure, via the Winklevoss twins, based out of NY.
#2 Coinbase.com also safe & secure, but crazy high fees.
#3 Kraken.com also safe & secure and offers some altcoins, but I prefer Gemini for buying Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Once you've bought Bitcoin you can then send your coins to broader exchanges like Bittrex or Poloniex if you want to purchase Altcoins. You can leave your coins on any of these three exchanges, or you can store coins on internet wallets such as Jaxx which is more secure. The most secure method of coin storage is cold storage via a hard wallet.
Not all bad news for Bitcoin

I am curious to see if this report is indeed true, or just a fabrication.

Back in June there was a false report that the founder of Ethereum was dead, which casued a flash crash, turned out to be a fake.

I'm a big fan of crypto coins, but I admit I am weary of Tesla Coins. I reckon a coin needs three components to be successful long term.
1. A specific and useful function or purpose
2. Solid coding
3. A committed community
IMHO without having all three, I don't see a bright future
It's down ~ 7-8%, "tanked" to me implies catastrophe. Over the past 3 years, I've seen numerous articles imply the impending demise of Bitcoin only to be proven wrong days to weeks later. I for one just find it humorous when "doom" is implied in a market that is insanely volatile and doesn't seem to play by any rule book. Bitcoin and it's fellow altcoins is an emerging market that plays by different rules than anyone is accustomed too.
I love stories with these titles, "Bitcoin Tanks" as in it drops ~ $300. Variations like that are normal with crypto's, next week it will be back up ;)
E Trade has been flawless, great to work with
Ouch, I hope no one got out at .11
ETrade removed the block from placing trades, but you still have to wait until tomorrow for the trade to go live. Thankfully, ETrade is allowing online trading of BITCF.
I first got into BITCF at 0.003 and since then it has been quite an unexpected ride with many wild turns. I have a feeling tomorrow will be more of the same. Best of luck to everyone ;)
there must be something fishy going on with the share transactions
yeah, it's because Bitcoin is on fire and investors want in on the action.
Highly doubt it'll open at pennies. Worst case a 50% drop & it just might surprise and go up!
I reckon there is a decent chance it'll rise after opening & then begin a downward trend. I doubt it will just crash to pennies. Again, no one knows until markets open.
I heard the same arguments made during the first 2 CE's, yet BITCF didn't perform as most expected. Granted, being on the gray's is almost insurmountable. But who knows, maybe BITCF will rise from the dead once more. Tomorrow we will find out ;)
I spoke with E Trade and they said online trading would be available for BITCF
Personally, I'm taking a wait & see approach. Being on the grays is not the end of this company. The risk of patience is seeming much better than bailing out the shorts at pennies.
Those who shorted are hoping for 99%, time will tell
I recently saw an article saying BITCF was the first stock to rebound after two CE's. Can someone confirm this as true or false? I remember many comments saying how BITCF was done after the first CE and it rebounded nicely. Then came the second one and it still rebounded. I am very curious to see how it plays in the grays. Based on history it should flop, but BITCF seems to have an ability to rise from the dead. Only time will tell.
I've wondered the same thing . . .
Crypto's continue upward, new market cap of 170 billion
https://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-price-sets-new-time-high-crypto-market-tops-170-billion/
Agreed ;)
I'll venture into the obscure unknown before I sell at a 90% loss ;)
I spoke with E-Trade and, in theory, once the suspension is lifted online gray trading of BITCF should be a go.
BTC new high, breaking $4,700
https://www.coindesk.com/bitcoin-price-just-set-new-time-high/
Historically you are correct, but BITCF may be different. One of the advantages of crypto focused stocks is they are easier to invest in then the actual coins. Crypto's are on fire, thus BITCF may be a special case, only time will tell.
Reckon there are three likely possibilities, although no one knows until trading opens
1. 90% or greater hit.
2. ~50% hit, probably the most likely.
3. Minimal loss or maintains, i.e. a miracle.
