Hey guys. I been quiet and watching from a distance for a while and ... I'm out today ... probably for good.
I've lost all hope that this management team will ever get their act together well enough so the stock performs well.
I wish you well with your 'investment' here in GZFX.
OT: There's more.

Look at some of the names here... hmmm...
This is actually pretty heady stuff. This corruption is far deeper than just the pump & dump nonsense on the OTC and PK's.
The above link takes you to the "Overstock's CEO Crusade" web page. Lots more interesting stuff... if you're curious about this topic.
OT: Here's a couple interesting web sites...
http://thesanitycheck.com/
http://www.businessjive.com/nss/darkside.html
Quite enlightening...
The Sanity Check website is intended to be an independent news source covering the Market Reform Movement. "Market reform", because much evidence suggests that our U.S. equities markets are out of control, and will either collapse under the weight of their own larceny, or be reformed, and operate in a fair and reasoned manner. The most pressing issue concerning many is the Naked Short Selling crisis affecting the stock market. This is a cancer whose malignancy threatens popular faith in the integrity of the entire system. Lest you think this is all a flight of fancy, view footage of Senator Bennett discussing the issue with former SEC Commissioner Donaldson in a Senate Banking Committee hearing by clicking here - move the slider to 1 hour, 19 minutes and 35 seconds.
OT: Wow.
Be careful on the OTC. Your type is the source of many a profit.
A noob and his money are soon parted... or something like that.
Here's what the inept competition is doing... (no mention of any of these present concerns)

What are his other choices goldie?
To position itself for the future, Netflix has stepped up its efforts to buy distribution rights to independent films. Depending on the deal, Netflix can show the films in theaters or on pay cable, or sell and rent DVDs. Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos says Netflix' Red Envelope Entertainment group, named for the packaging the company uses to mail DVDs, has bought rights to 90 movies in the past year. It has also hired 30 executives, including a former chief financial officer of Miramax Film Corp. The group's impact is small now, but if Netflix gets closer to 20 million subscribers, it could be “a real disruption in an industry that's increasingly safe and homogenized,” Sarandos says.Despite mainstream demographics, with the average customer an over-35 woman with family income of $75,000 or less, only 30% of Netflix rentals are new releases. At Blockbuster, it's 70%. Instead, Netflix builds audiences for movies Hollywood often won't take a gamble on: Sarandos says 85% of films even at festivals like Sundance don't get distribution. Netflix' support helps tiny films find bigger audiences, and is starting to drive arty studio fare. Hotel Rwanda drew 3 million people to U.S. theaters, but has been “Netflixed” 2 million times.
Netflix uses data to make decisions moguls make by gut. The average user rates more than 200 films, and Netflix crunches consumers' rental history and film ratings to predict what they'll like. The idea borrows from Oakland Athletics General Manager Billy Beane: In his book Moneyball, Michael Lewis showed how Beane pioneered in-depth use of statistics, rather than relying on scouts' intuition, to decide whether prospects can play. “It's Moneyball for movies, with geeks like Reed looking at movies as just another data problem,” says Netflix board member Richard N. Barton.
FILMMAKERS' FRIEND. Data mining also helps Netflix decide what to pay for hard-to-market movies. When it bought DVD rights to Favela Rising, a documentary about Rio de Janeiro musicians, Sarandos knew 1 million customers had rented 2003's City of God, also set in Rio. About 500,000 picked Oscar-winning documentary Born Into Brothels, and 250,000 saw both. So Netflix paid a fee based on 250,000 rentals. If it does better, producers and Netflix split the upside. A similar deal lets Patricia Heaton and David Hunt, whose documentary, The Bituminous Coal Queens of Pennsylvania, debuts on Netflix June 6, dream of a million-rental audience. “Netflix is some of the best news for filmmakers in a long time,” Heaton says.
Netflix hopes a rep as the cool auteur's friend will build an army of loyal customers before its download service competes with Apple Computer (AAPL), Yahoo! (YHOO), or Comcast (CMSCA). Even foes respect the strategy: One likely rival's CEO says Netflix' early start should keep it at No. 1 or 2 even as big boys get in.
Ziggy - sell half your holding once its doubled, then worry what to do with your "free" shares. Protect your capital.
These sub-pennies are notorious for taking $$$ from the uninitiated. The old-timers make money off the noobs.
I bought in too high (.0011) averaged down to .0004 when it could be bought at .0002 - sold half at .0008 and am just waiting for it to pop back up again.
Do not get greedy. A guaranteed double or triple beats the heck out of a possible 10 bagger that turns into a loss. Make a plan and stick to it.
The outcome of that suit was...
CONCLUSION
Because no defendant made a false statement actionable under
federal securities law, plaintiffs have failed to state a valid
claim and there is no need to consider other elements of a valid
10(b) claim, such as scienter. The complaint is DISMISSED
WITHOUT LEAVE TO AMEND for the reasons stated
above. The Clerk is directed to close the case.

re: Have no idea itrade, I know the are cautious when reporting as NetFlix ended up sued because of pumping subs but not mentioning churn.
I can honestly say I'm not losing money on GZFX right now.
It's been interesting seeing the change in sentiment around here as the very issues I questioned when I first arrived in Oct/Nov have come into focus under the spotlight lately.
I see the "bashers' are beginning to slowly disappear and the general tone appears to be getting very bullish. The bulls here are scary.
Good find Padrino. I recall how this original paid basher thread was touted around here as evidence of these paid scourges.
...Don't confuse me with the facts, my mind is made up...
It was a hoax
http://www.thestreet.com/tech/internet/1165692.html
IW - not to pick at nits but Netflix is probably over 5,000,000 subs about now.
http://www.123jump.com/earnings-calls/Netflix/17369/
The above link also mentions why Netflix doesn't have any immediate plans to expand into the UK. For me that also addresses my earlier concerns with GnF management's grip on the realities of this industry.
Netflix is moving in a slow deliberate direction... GnF seems to be rushing in full bore, not real sure exactly where they're going or how they're gonna get there (other than on the shareholders' dimes).
IW-why argue about it? I tend to believe that Netflix has spent their money researching the market... I know they've been testing this $5.99 deal for months. They are the leader in this market for a reason, I doubt stupidity is one.
Bertrand Russell said it best, "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."
Sent-that's easy:

There's more I'm sure... especially that just lurk here.
OT:
Movin' to Montana soon.
Gonna be a dental floss tycoon.
I picked up Weinstein's book a while back. It's the first book that I've found that helps me make some sense out of TA.
It's kinda old but seems to be some of that timeless truth that floats around. If there's any such thing as truth and TA. LOL!
I'm still not sure you can actually apply TA to penny stocks.
Quizzy- if you don't know what you're doing it's really easy to just keep throwing good money after bad.
Most new investors have to learn from their mistakes... that's the cost of the tuition in this school.
Do yourself a favor... buy this:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1556236832/104-7111375-9044720
It probably won't help you much right now... getting outta the hole you dug, but it'll help you figure out how to not dig another hole quite so deep next time.
Stay away from the OTC with any $$$ that's important to you at least until you've been around long enough to understand the lingo Wick uses.
Statistically less than 20% of day traders actually make any money at it... and the OTC is particullarly hazardous to the uninitiated.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Day_trading
But...it's your money. Have fun!
I think he means if you're in the market for a new range, you can go to Best Buy and they'll take your old range in as a trade toward the new one.
Thanks for posting that--
I'll be dipped in boiling oil if I can find a link to the audio for this webcast. Do you have one?
Is there a link for the webcast audio?
Is the webcast audio available some place now?
Come on Cliff...
Is it bottomed?
I think today's action will be the bottom
Or is it gonna go lower?
Up hill from here, after a couple more volatile sessions.
Kinda hard to go wrong with aprediction like that.
"It's gonna go up, if it doesn't go lower..."
I'll buy that. Yeah.
OT: You are a wery wery bad wabbit.
Now - get back in your box.
Then you might find this interesting--maybe a little dated but perhaps appropriate:

Come on man...
That was my Cramer impression.
I can't make it any clear... only louder.
CHA-CHING!!!
BB-BB-BB-BOOYAH!!!
BUY!!! BUY!!! BUY!!!
When everyone else is afraid... BUY!!! BYE!!! BahBye!!!
Buy into weakness.
That would be now, right?
ChaChing!!!
B-B-B-BooYaa!
BUY! BUY! BUY!
OT: My writing must suck.
How you can read what I write and come to the conclusion that I think frequent trading is inherently profitable for most people is beyond me. Your conclusions are often the antithesis of my intended conclusion.
Agent - time will tell if I'm wrong. I'm not too worried about it either way.
I suppose you have plans to be in this for the 5 or so years it took Netflix to get where they are, or do you plan on flipping it before then? If you "longs" are really long, why do you watch this thing minute-by-minute?
If I am wrong, there will still be plenty-o-time for me to get back in and make the type of money I'm comfortable with. I'm not really a "shoot for the moon" type of investor. It never seems to work out for me. Funny... it kinda looks like it doesn't work for most others either.
OT: Actually I don't know when you all "are" born, never really gave it a thought... and it doesn't make me think now either.
I doubt I spend much more than 30 minutes a day on this board... if that. I pop in, read a little and putz around with a few other boards... The Motley Fool, Forbes, Business Week, IBD. I've got about 30 other companies I'm invested in that I pay some attention to and a number of other companies I'm interested in. Five minutes in here now and again may present the illusion that I'm here 24/7, but it's an illusion nonetheless... or... maybe you "are born yesterday." Your pick.
This is more of a sidebar entertainment than anything else any more. It has been quite interesting watching the mood of this forum for the past couple months. There are quite a few characters here... and a few poor little Nimrods wandering around too (they are to investing what Elmer Fudd is to hunting.)
Sorry I woke you. Please forgive me.
Bag - I'll be keeping one eye on GZFX. There's always the possibility that in a couple years it will begin to mature and be worth putting some $$$ into again.
In the meantime... this serves as a constant reminder to me to be wary of management and not get too greedy.
In my opinion this is just a crazy thought...
re: Reed Hastings w/Netflix:
Hastings start-up did not look much better in terms of profit in the early years...and he had absolutely NO COMPETITION.
Online rentals were unheard of, competition for the DVD rental market abounded with the countless B&M insititions and their deep pockets. Netflix blazed the trail and funded the entire expedition. At this point in the game you're comparing apples with fishing poles. What are you thinking?
GNF had a chance... I think they blew it.
lns-has PS ever spoken publically regarding GNF?
It might be a bit of a stretch to assume he has great plans for the success of this little company that he has no apparent vested interest in.
The GNF jewel boxes on the shelves at CC don't really represent a huge investment on their part. They're simply high ROI items on the shelf. If they disappear what has CC really lost?
Time and time again I see references to CC's concern that GNF becomes the next NFLX. I would never suggest that BBY created NFLX's success. I hold that Reed Hastings is responsible for that. Most companies succeed or fail on the shoulders of their management. With GNF the managment's competency is what is really in question here... and has been from the beginning.
Even if GNF succeeds as company - the market could poo poo on the stock... especially if the perception is that management couldn't care less for the stockholders
Look at DHB for a classic example of management walking on the stock(bag)holders.
Great product, great potential, greedy CEO. I learned to take a very close look at management with this company. Biggest loss I've suffered in my portfolio.
JMO, of course.
I can deal with dilution but bad management is a whole nother story. What's JF's actual track record? You seem to be suggesting PS is the savior here.
I'll ask again because it's the main point of my post...
Has PS ever spoken publically regarding GNF?
Oh. Okay.
"Major" ... association...?
This one is relatively new. I didn't know anything about it. Not that I necessarily need to... but I am an active duty career advisor- I'm pretty aware of the "majors" - especially the ones that provide valuable serivces to our members.
I'll give you that it is "news." But I wouldn't overstate its importance or impact. It's not listed here: http://usmilitary.about.com/od/associations/
Most of us have never heard of it.
Hooah!?!

OT: Dean - you need to hook up with Gold-Leade-r
As much as I don't like his awareness program, he's got you beat hands down. Look him up - take some lessons from him.... and then... back in the closet.
Here's some help: http://www.investorshub.com/boards/profile.asp?User=55224
Good Luck!
OT: Hmmm... First time I ever heard that definition of "Brownshoe."
This is what I always thought it meant:
(from Wikipedia) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S._Navy_slang
Brown Shoe: Any "Naval Aviation" officer or CPO. Reference to the brown shoes was exclusive to aviation community. Has since become outdated as all naval officers and Chief Petty Officers (Chiefs) wear black shoes. However, because of cultural bias among lifers (career personnel), this term remains active. Note - Aviators still wear brown shoes with their khaki uniforms. Being called a brown-shoe is considered a term of endearment. Black-shoe, or just plain "shoe," is a derogatory term used by aviators in reference to ship drivers.
I been a brownshoe for a long time.
Welcome aboard, Brownshoe.
"Seems very reasonable to me because I want to see all the titles I listed in my queue, in what order I get them does not matter really."
Right now in my queue I have several movies, the "Band of Brothers" series and the 2nd season of "24." I'd really really prefer to see the series in the proper order. Sequence can be important. I stack my queue in the order I want them delivered.
A good comparison may be Gamefly and Best Buy. I tried to get some idea about how many subs Gamefly has, but they would only refer me to their web site for information.
Hello,
GameFly is an independent and privately owned company. We have
no plans to go public at this time. Any relevant available information
regarding our company can be found on our website.
Thank you,
GameFly Customer Service
I don't know how long they've been with BBY- I've compared their Alexa numbers to GNF - they have a considerable lead there, but that can be looked at as a positive thing... where GNF could be given the similar circumstances.
Also, the "full rollout" is still months away. I'd expect it to take some time to get steam built up behind it.
It gets back to management, customer service, and the finicky market. This is a really long row to hoe.
...an' that's fact, Jack!
I think you guys need to go back through the thread and read who's saying JF no longer wants to get listed on the AMEX. It certainly isn't me.
You guys are like a school of piranah coming after me like this when anyone with any reading comprehension at all can clearly see all I did was quote JF in the context that says he plans on getting listed on the AMEX.
You say nothing to Kermit who continues to say this regarding JF getting GZFX on the AMEX: http://www.investorshub.com/boards/read_msg.asp?message_id=10916367
Whatever.
It certainly looked to me like he said JF has changed his mind about getting listed on the AMEX.
I'm simply asking him to clear up the water I apparently muddied when I quoted JF.
Has JF changed his mind or not?
