The first target is diesel fuel. Gasoline is safe until diesel is gone, but its day is coming.
I notice Hyzon is based in Rochester, NY. Another thing that makes me go, "Hmmm."

Interesting analysis, Steve. Thanks. The guy makes a good case for being careful with PLUG.
Here is confirmation that tomorrow is the day.

Daniel O'Connell would make a great company spokesperson.
Frames thinks big. They'll fit in good with PLUG.

Steve- The grand opening of the giga-factory on Friday should warrant a news release, and I think that could result in a $2 pop. I don't see it going down to $33 after that.
Personally, I prefer to focus on max gain instead of max pain.
The main gripe I've been hearing for months is that PLUG doesn't reveal metrics, including acquisition costs. Maybe people need to read the 10qs before doing so.
I admit that I don't have the patience to often wade through Edgar filings, myself...but I also don't complain very often.
PTC - Production tax credit
ASP - Average selling price
This article gives a price for the Frames acquisition: https://www.benzinga.com/news/earnings/21/11/24000743/plug-power-raises-revenue-guidance-after-mixed-q3-announces-frames-acquisition
... Separately, Plug Power announced a definitive agreement to acquire Netherlands-based Frames Group, which builds processing equipment, separation technologies, flow control and safeguarding systems, for water and renewable energy solutions, for 85 million euros ($98.54 million) in cash and 30 million in earnouts.
Daily price fluctuations are no concern when you are invested in a game changing company, who's only long-term direction is up.
More importantly, who guessed the closest on revenues and eps? Lol!
If the analysts are worth their salaries, higher hydrogen costs should be baked into the estimates.
Last year 3rd quarter they beat eps estimates by 7 cents, so maybe they can do it again.
I considered lightening my position, but am still fully loaded heading in to the storm. Nice play on TSLA!
We still love ya, Banger.
Allow me to add to the froth of speculation on this board with a guesstimate of $165 million revenues and -.03 eps.
Good luck everyone!
The only mention of it I've seen is by AshHydrogen on Stocktwits.
Thanks Steve. I don't see it getting that low. I think the max pain will be to the shorties these next few months.
Steve- Why is max pain $33? How do you determine this?
Supposedly, its going directly to Biden's desk, so it seems to be a done deal.
3rd quarter results Tuesday after hours.

JB- "Knowing the actual cost to produce and the sale price would be very helpful."
As I said earlier, revealing the margins would most likely ensure an onslaught of competition before PLUG could claim most of the market.
They are smart not to give out those numbers.
Haven't they said they will be selling the green hydrogen at grey hydrogen prices. That should give us an idea of revenues from the plants. As for profits from them; that remains to be determined.
JB- Hollywood? I'm going to give you a mulligan on that one. Lol.
They keep reaching revenue targets ahead of schedule.
PLUG put out a news release on 8/4 to announce earnings would be reported on 8/5. Why do they wait so long? I don't know. They never used to.
https://www.ir.plugpower.com/Press-Releases/Press-Release-Details/2021/Plug-Power-to-Announce-2021-Second-Quarter-Results/default.aspx
JB- PLUG is building things that have never been built before. If the past is any indicator of the future, creative innovations breed many copycats once the profitability of the enterprise is proven. This might explain why PLUG is holding the metrics close to their vest.
There is no sense for the lion to make it too easy for the jackals to share in the feast by describing the procedures used to make the kill.
Interesting article about the Texas plant. Has PLUG announced the Texas plant yet?
https://www.grahamleader.com/news/plug-power-establishing-green-hydrogen-facility-young-county
I'm pulling for you Steve. $260 here we come!
I was thinking more of merger. Partnerships are good. The money has to come from somewhere. Good point.
It would be better for us if FCEL did its own growing, rather than as part of Exxon.
The question we need to be asking now is, "Is FCEL capable of quickly transforming itself into a global company capable of providing carbon capture to many countries and industries at once?"
If so, we have another Plug Power here (who is currently doing just that in other areas).
The magic 8-ball says "Up Up Up". Good luck!
It's too early to wonder about Monday. Let's enjoy the afterglow from a successful week and have another go at it when the time comes.
Have a great weekend everybody.
I agree with Jack. Truck's will not be 100% powered by hydrogen for decades, and until they are there is no reason to get excited about the baby steps being taken today.
We should all invest in SHIBA INU, and then, in several decades move our money into hydrogen companies after they are fully developed.
Tick tock. I, for one, am ready for the cuckoo bird to sing!
Thanks HH7 for helping us through the quiet times.
How many seconds will it trade today before they halt it again?
Even so, to be factual, SK did invest $1.5 billion in PLUG, since SK E&S is 90% owned by SK. There is no denying that. If, after the fact, SK decided to share part of their stake with others, that is their prerogative.
Who knows what they've done since?
JB- I find it difficult to trust an article that states PLUG has reached a $30 trillion market cap. Everybody know they haven't done that...yet.
JB- I answered your question. A moderator must have not liked it. I don't know why.
JB- Nobody who understands what Plug Power is doing cares a whit(sp) about earnings at this point. 2023 might be different, as per Paul Travers.
If Andy is able to keep the plunge in share price to only +4.67% a week, I can accept that...although I expect better.
Has Sen. Schumer said anything yet today?
Even after today's devastating crash, PLUG was still able to eke out a 4.67% gain for the week...probably due to afterglow excitement from the symposium.
I hope they take Banger's suggestion and only make us wait 6 months until the next one.
Dated today
