What is the status of the lateral drilling. am I to assume with the price drop that it either doesnt' work or is in trouble? What is the status of the lateral drilling testing? Anybody know?
The below from 144 filings on Nasdaq website. I'd guess they've already sold. You go to www.nasdaq.com, type in BESV in the box, then to the right side of the box hit the down arrow and go to 144 filings, which are private placement seller filings.

any explanation for this morning's drop?
I'd like some of you who understand the technology to give me your take on this, it was at the end of the rig acquisition PR:
In related news, the Company's prototype abrasive fluid jetting (AFJ) rig has completed its latest field tests at the Many, Louisiana location. Blast is now in discussions with the Department of Energy to deploy the Blast Rig #1 to the Rocky Mountain Testing Facility in Wyoming to further test and evaluate the rig's cutting and jetting capabilities. Meanwhile, Alberta Energy Partners, our AFJ technology partner, will be making modifications to the down hole equipment and nozzle design to access reservoir formations laterally.
I have to go back and reread it but didn't I see tucked into the rig acquisition PR indication of continued problems with the nozzles? That's what may have done it? But the inevitable buy on the rumor, sell on the news, from the rise in stock price prior to announcement may have contributed
but again I'm most interested in the lateral drilling which I think is the golden ring. Anybody have an update or clarity on that? Much appreciated.
They follow an odd calendar and their year ends on May 31. So the coming year end report should not include the deals done in June. My question is, given the May 31 year end, what do we expect in this report that can help the PPS?
anybody have any news/updates about what's going on?
It came from IR.
I heard the new nozzles arrived and at the first try it blew off the end and they had to do some cleanup. Do you know if they've tried again or when they will? thanks!
UBSS was the "wall" at 1.20 today. It'll be highly interesting to see if they disappear from there tomorrow.
excellent they clearly held it at 1.20 so i'd expect a lift tomorrow, thanks. may even buy some at the open if I can get it at 1.20!
On the otherhand if by any chance the deal is inked today the last day of the share price counting could be yesterday and they could let it run. We'll just have to watch and wait but always fun when it's going up!
HDSN is sitting at 1.40 on the ask, was at 1.30 yesterday. They seem to be comfortable with a closing price of 1.20 as they did not hit it yesterday. These financial deals tend to take an AVERAGED closing price not the price the stock closes on one particular day as it would be invitation to manipulation. They range anywhere from ten days to three weeks in terms of the financing price set on the close. Don't know if it ends the day the deal is closed or the day before but with the dealine tomorrow as per earlier PR, it seems the deal should get done tomorrow and today would likely be the last day they'd want to hold it down. So my expectations are:
1) If it goes above 1.20 they'll hit it back at the close
2) Should rise tomorrow if the deal actually gets done.
entirely possible, HDSN is a MM associated frequently with such financing and I don't remember them on this stock or certainly not active with it for a long time. and yes they pounded it, no question.
we'll see how tomorrow goes.
this stock goes up to 1.44 then down to 1.20 in an hour? anyone have any thoughts?!
What's with the new nozzles if they were there as someone here said they'd have been test and if they worked they should have been a PR. I hear this movement up is based on the rig acquistion?
I've been digging around a bit and my sense is the new nozzles will arrive later than expected but that the acquisition moves forward and will be completed successfully.
New Nozzles, any update? arrive, how they working?
Citibank, SBSH has come on today as a highly aggressive seller, we'll have to see what this means and where it goes.

Anybody have any sense of when new nozzles will be tested and when the acquisition is likely to happen.
Plaintif--am curious how you weigh the importance of the lateral drilling vs. the acquisition of reg. drilling equipment. For example, let's say they do not get the lateral drilling to work do you remain excited about Blast due to the rig acquistion which I assume will happen? If both happen how to you weigh that?
Don't like this breaking down. SBSH has a bid for 10K at 1.00 so that may provide support.
Anyone talk to McDonald, when are the new nozzles due?
Again, anybody talk to McDonald and get an update of when the new nozzles will be on site?
New market maker JEFF (Jeffries Securities) just came on near the close buying stock at 1.10 on bid. Good sign, never seen them on this stock before.
Anybody know how long til delivery of the new nozzles?
Opinions appreciated.

Blast Energy Services Confirms Rig's Large Bore Perforation Capabilities
Tuesday July 25, 7:30 am ET
HOUSTON, July 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Blast Energy Services (OTC Bulletin Board: BESV - News) has returned to the location of its first field test using its new abrasive fluid jetting (AFJ) technology on a well for Oracle Operating located in Many, Louisiana. With repairs to the coil tubing unit completed, the Blast Rig #1 has resumed operations that include demonstrating the ability to cut through the steel well casing at approximately 3,000 feet of vertical depth and attempting to jet large bore perforations though the window cut in the casing.
While on this location, the Blast Rig #1 has again successfully demonstrated the ability to cut a large (3 x 3 inch) window into the steel well casing using AFJ from within the well-bore -- a unique attribute in the energy business. Additionally, the Company now believes that this cutting process perforated approximately three feet into the rock formation beyond the casing wall. This large bore perforation service adds to the rig's existing well service capabilities, which include specialty casing cutting and normal coiled tubing well services.
"This is an important milestone in the development of our new technology. Our unique AFJ process should provide oil and gas well operators with a new well perforation and stimulation opportunity," said David M. Adams, President & Co-CEO of Blast Energy Services. "We will continue to commercialize these service offerings for our customers while we are developing the lateral jetting service."
While attempting to jet laterally into the formation there were indications that the formation-cutting nozzles were eroding and that higher strength material would be needed. Replacement nozzles composed of higher strength carbide have been ordered. In the meantime, Blast will take the opportunity to replace some of the down-hole equipment that may have been damaged during a jetting attempt. It is expected to take about a week to secure a work-over rig to return to the location and switch out the down hole equipment. Once this is completed and the replacement nozzles are delivered, further lateral jetting operations are planned.
Previously, while on this well location in April, the Blast Rig #1 encountered several components on the basic coil tubing unit that needed repair and the rig returned to the yard before lateral jetting could be attempted or evaluations of the large-bore perforation could be made. Since that time, the rig was professionally repaired and tested positively at a non- producing well location to confirm that the coil tubing unit was operating properly. During this latest deployment, the rig's coil tubing components and the proprietary AFJ systems have operated normally and the rig crew has continued to gain valuable operating experience with the rig's many complex systems.
Interest in Rig Services
In the meantime, several well operators are expressing an interest in the specialty services of this AFJ rig, including the Department of Energy (DOE) for its Rocky Mountain Oilfield Testing Center in Wyoming. Discussions are underway with the DOE for the rig to conduct a series of specialty cutting services including casing windows, vertical and 360 degree slots, and large bore perforations. For more information about the 10,000 acre, 1,200 well testing center, you can visit their website at: http://www.rmotc.doe.gov .
"Working for the DOE would not only generate AFJ revenues, but it would be a excellent opportunity to further evaluate our cutting and well stimulation capabilities in an scientific environment designed to test and promote new oilfield technologies," added Mr. Adams.
Land Rig Acquisition Update
Blast continues to evaluate the potential transaction to acquire up to six U.S. rotary land drilling rigs under a non-binding agreement. A successful acquisition would provide a major boost to Blast's energy services business and involves the cash purchase of the rotary land drilling rigs for approximately $52 million, including two-year contracts with oil and gas well operators and experienced drilling rig crews. At current contracted day- rates, each rig can generate more than $6.5 million per year in revenue. If the contemplated transaction is consummated it is expected to be funded by a combination of debt and equity components. Negotiation with potential investors and lenders is underway. Based upon initial economic evaluations, management believes that this multiple rig acquisition would be accretive to Blast shareholders.
"We believe this acquisition could provide a significant base of operations for our energy services business," said John O'Keefe, EVP and Co- CEO of Blast Energy Services. "It clearly fits with our business plan and with the current record high daily drilling rig rates, it may provide substantial added value to our shareholders."
The transaction contemplated is subject to the parties entering into definitive documentation, financing, acceptable financial statements from the entity to be acquired, an appraisal acceptable to lenders, and board and potentially shareholder approvals.
Anybody know the status of the lateral drilling testing?
I bought it all the way down including some at .98. HILL was in control and sold a lot of stock; near the end they became particularly aggressive sellers. We can only hope that they don't know anything and simply want to realize profit on very cheap shares. Nothing to do now but wait for drilling results. And went it dropped the other week, I did get 5K at .90
seller is still there at 11:50 PST and the buyer is gone so for now the bias is lower.
The action today is fascinating, big duel. Big seller still in HILL and big buyer suddenly turned up today in NITE. What will happen depends on whether the buyer (and others who join in) have more buying power than the seller. Right now it seems about evenly matched. They're playing games for pennies but there are lots of blocks of 10K and 20K going off, Hill selling to Nite in the 1.04-1.05 range.
That's standard legalize, I take it as a good sign as I suspect you do, that the deal i moving forward. Right now, what I want to know is what is the likelihood the lateral drilling will be successful in the field this time? Knowledgable thoughts appreciated.
Thanks
All selling today was one seller, through the market maker HILL. They were on the ask all day and moving down when people were not buying from them. This is generally good news cause rather than the selling coming from everywhere. It's likely someone with old cheap stock and they'll be there until they're done.

Shanghai Electric Group holds a license to manufacture and sell D6 turbines in China and these orders for turbine components represent an important step in the organization of production at their facilities.
Any take on the slight downdraft in the stock today? Worry about the new test? Is it postponed?
I'm a bit out of touch, what is the status of the tests on the lateral drilling? thanks.
When is the new lateral drilling test scheduled. Isn't it sometime soon?
Trading for the last 2 days, maybe longer, I haven't been watching carefully is wildly weird. NITE has beed on the ask. ARCA# comes up on the bid and matches the ask, locking the market, ARCA showing some small size, 600, 700, 1300, 1400. Nite hits them and the trade goes off. ARCA# goes back down to 1.40. then a few minutes later comes back up to 1.42 matching Nite's 1.42 ask, (as I'm typing they just did it again for 800 shares).????
ALGOMA, Wis. - A little red lighthouse. Boardwalks. The blue-green waters of Lake Michigan stretching to the horizon.
It's just another pretty-as-a-postcard view on the shores of this sleepy town of 5,700 a half-hour east of Green Bay. But how long the unspoiled vista in Algoma and in other communities along the Great Lakes will last is anybody's guess.
Government and industry officials are set to meet in Madison and Toledo, Ohio, this month to talk about the prospects for installing giant electricity-generating windmills out in the Great Lakes.
Advocates say offshore wind turbines would be an efficient means of producing power. Opponents fear the windmills would harm the lakes' natural beauty and hurt tourism and fishing.
"I'll fight this every way I can," said Algoma Alderman Ken Taylor, chairman of the city's marina committee. "The beautiful view we have would be destroyed. ... How many are going to come here if we have these things off our coastline?"
The rows of windmills would tower as high as 400 feet and float or stand in relatively shallow water.
Winds over water are generally stronger, less turbulent and more consistent than those on land, said Walt Musial, senior engineer and offshore programs leader for the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, a U.S.
Department of Energy contractor.
Major population and industrial centers such as Cleveland, Chicago, Gary, Ind., and Milwaukee are situated on the Great Lakes' shores, reducing the need for long-distance transmission.
"Offshore machines can make about twice as much as onshore," said Musial, who will make a presentation at a June 14 conference at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. "It's a potentially big resource for renewable energy. You want to generate the electricity close to where people are going to use it."
The UW-Madison conference will look at such things as efforts to gather wind data on the Great Lakes, technological barriers to offshore wind farms, and the political policies needed to spur their development.
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the
Environmental Protection Agency are among the agencies sponsoring the June 27-29 session in Toledo. Discussions are set on how to protect birds, bats and fish from the windmills.
European countries such as Denmark and Britain have developed wind farms in the North and Baltic seas. A Houston energy company plans to build a 170-turbine farm in the Gulf of Mexico off Texas' Padre Island. An additional 50 turbines are planned off Galveston, Texas. East Coast offshore projects have been proposed off Long Island and Cape Cod.
But the idea has been slow to catch on around the Great Lakes. Michigan and Wisconsin regulators said they have yet to be approached by any energy companies with proposals for offshore windmills in the Great Lakes.
Some utilities consider the technology unproven and say the financial risks and the bureaucratic hurdles are too high.
Rob Benninghoff, director of renewable and special projects for Wisconsin Public Service Corp., which supplies power to much of northeastern Wisconsin, including the Green Bay area, said the utility is reluctant for now to pour ratepayers' money into what would be a difficult approval process.
"I see it as a high-risk proposition," Benninghoff said. "I don't know of anyone who's got any plans to do anything in Lake Michigan or the bay or anything. Not to say it won't move in that direction ultimately."
Besides having to shoulder the construction costs — the Padre Island project, for example, is expected to cost $1 billion to $2 billion — developers also would have to get federal and state permits.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has jurisdiction over structures in the lakes. Developers also would have to lease tracts of lake bottom from the states, and state utility regulators would have to sign off.
Hanging over every proposal would be concerns about fish, lake bottoms and migratory birds. And then there are worries about the view.
"That's the No. 1 problem we face today in getting this industry started," Musial said. "Visual pollution is preventing the country from embracing them."

Wildfire, I have been in this stock for years and used to read all the boards. What you're doing has been done by many before you. You, like they have, call the co. and then post what you're told. This is irresponsible because 1)IR is going out on a limb and providing what fundamentally is inside information and then rather than respecting that, you're sawing off that limb by making that public and putting those who talked to you at risk. 2)IR has proven over time to be overly exuberent and the predictions, particularly in terms of the time line, regularly wrong.
I was in court during the BK when GC said, I forget exactly, but I think it was 3 signed deals they expected by November 1, 2005. We've seen none. I used to get excited about these posts, Hammer is one who regularly did what you're doing now until he was chastened by so much of what he was told not coming to fruition, at least not in the time frame promised--that I now prefer to spend my time with a good book rather than reading or posting on the boards and get my information from the PR's, when released.
