By letter dated December 21, 1982, the Internal Revenue Service held that the portion of the proceeds from the sale of the Corporation which was deposited with Banks A and B in various escrow accounts did not constitute a trust within the meaning of U.S. Treas. Reg. § 301.7701-4(a). U.S. Treas. Reg. § 301.7701-4(a) provides that, "generally speaking, an arrangement will be treated as a trust under the Code if it can be shown that the purpose of the arrangement is to vest in trustees responsibility for the protection and conservation of property for beneficiaries who cannot share in the discharge of this responsibility and, therefore, are not associates in a joint enterprise for the conduct of business for profit."
Further, the Internal Revenue Service held that because the escrow accounts were not trusts, the accounts did not come within the scope of Code Section 6012 and no federal income tax returns needed to be filed on behalf of them. The Service cited Section 6012(a)(4) of the Code which provides that returns of income taxes shall be made by "every trust having for the taxable year any taxable income, or having gross income of $600 or over, regardless of the amount of taxable income."
Yes, this is just one case and example, but just saying...
Meh, I'm in, but let's just say I find the water lukewarm.
Now metals, that's something I can hold. And no, a digital wallet is not the same....
No way in HELL would I ever go near another bank stock in my lifetime, T.
I'm not even sure I want to keep my cash in my credit union!
By the way, I don't look at it like "buying".
I'm just performing a currency conversion. :)
Waiting on shipping notice (physical only please).
Buy low, hold until the end.... :)
And I'm buying. :)
What tape were you watching, T?
Thanks.
One thing you should do prior to clicking on a link, is to mouse over it, and examine the link structure. Especially in a world where phishing has become a severe menace, and your antivirus and malware will not always be of help.
For example, we are constantly testing users in our corporate setting, by occasionally sending out emails to see if they're applying due process on whatever they receive. Around holidays, we send out fake emails that appear as they're coming from UPS or FedEx as people are often waiting for a delivery. And we can clone those emails to look exactly like the real thing.
However, if they pay attention and before clicking on a tracking link for example, they mouse over the link and see this:
Split, searching takes a second, but....

Actually, there's a lot of times I WON'T post links, either because of a sites mods getting nervous over posted links, and people avoiding utilizing them (for a lot of good reasons).
Been a long road AZ, I don't know how you find the energy or effort to continue to repeat to the thicker individuals here what the roadmap is, since everything has been repeated ad nauseam now for 13 plus years, but thank you anyhow.
I haven't sold a single share since the beginning of this (only added in spots years ago), and truly feel sorry for those who finally gave up and sold out, or worse, those who have passed during this long period.
But beyond any return we see here, I still hope at some point those who were responsible for all this are finally held responsible, whether publicly at least, or criminally even better. Meanwhile, we watch our Fed and the markets making the same mistakes all over again, and I just have to shake my head.
Recall during the bankruptcy proceedings, all that crap about them needing to put up fake wall dividers, so they couldn't be tempted to pull more insider trading?
Good times...
I've kind of come to the position, that option trading is like shorting, that is, both are used to manipulate the system.
No, it's not that I don't understand it. It's I'm tired of seeing companies or commodities not being able to be judged on their merits alone. And why, other then what I've been invested already for many years, I choose to no longer play in this casino.
Because that's what it is.
diamond, this has shown this way in my TD account for quite a while now. Like many years.
So in my account, this is not new. Sorry.
Might want to slip some precious metals into the chicken coop while you're at it.
I don't "think" you'll discover any golden gooses, but still probably wise to diversify!
"Pale ale or IPA please."
He's just another now on iggy.
Just sayin’
BTW, regarding the interest rate showing on the P markers.
I too clearly recall, before Scottrade merged with TDA, that they once showed 7.75, and were altered to 6.895.
This was some years ago obviously.
(Sorry, this wasn't meant as a reply to you.)
Each day is precious.
Especially one that doesn't begin in the high 90's at 9am!
Happy our PNW heat wave is past!
J, as I understand, this is just from Henderson's end of year A&L. And that 187 mil is what was being discussed. Nothing to do with all the other subs in question, etc...
I saw that, when I logged in there for the first time in, well, YEARS today.
Thanks AZ, wow...gov is still around and kicking. Huh, and I have not heard Sunshine mentioned in a looooong time.
And damn if I always wondered if we'd hear from Henderson at some point.
Here's the link I believe...

Oops, just realized that's a download, and I don't have anywhere at the moment to host it.
You placed the chains upon your wrists.
Learn to free yourself...
Please tell me you got a fresh cake, and not the 13 year old stale one??
"It's almost like the market is rigged or something idk it's weird."
Almost. LOL...
Whatever you do, don't talk to Jenny.
She'll just take all your stash.
SIX trillion dollars printed so far.
You believe inflation is 3-4%? It's twice that I believe, and bound to get worse.
Transiting up and up and up...so yeah, transitory.
But on the flip side, inflation will rob them of their savings and investments anyhow.
Not even a net wash.
So what were they doing this morning?
Fishing for stop losses again?
That's all they ever showed, in mine.
Nothing changed in my TD account.
Just watch how nutzzzz people become, when the bottom falls out of everything, t.
I have COOP, I have escrows, and not-so-patiently waiting for 13 fricking years.
But meanwhile, I decided what will be will be, and started buying metals some time ago in serious earnest. I don't even want part of the system anymore, it's trash.
P.S. Take a look at the chart to the right, and ask yourself, do you even want to play in their casino's anymore?...
Great idea!
However, if you could stay away that would be swell...lol...
"Ugbhh...I am vested in COOP...so I come on check...and get frigging annoyed...its natural..."
It's natural, because?...
1. The stock is languishing, due to normal market manipulation and other factors beyond our control, even though the company by all reasonable measures has done well this past few cycles?
- or -
2. People discuss issues that you don't care about, or you believe are completely irrelevant now, therefore you believe they should just shut up and go away?
And China was just handed more leverage because of it.
Most of the world is fed up with our banksters and their hypothecated schemes.
Sigh, I just hope something occurs SOON with this position we've all been involved in for 13 years, before fiat becomes worthless...
Snowflake?
That's how I view you. Just another flake lost in a flurry.
JPM's going to have a lot more problems on their plate soon.
"Russia's $186 Billion Sovereign Wealth Fund Dumps All Dollar Assets".
Guess they better start shorting everything they can. LOL...
"Guess what, jpm's not payin a dime more for anything so go sell that baloney somewhere else."
So...how long have you worked for Jamie? LOL...
Dude what r YOU talking about?
Who's everyone, champ?
For whatever the reason the financial community doesn't seem to think COOP is undervalue as of current. Something is causing hesitation ....
Well yeah, a coming market meltdown, along with a possible dilution can have that effect.
On the other hand, all of my other holdings are green today. This tells me that our old buddy manipulation is still hanging around, even though we told him to scram...
