Well, let's just hope that Jane didn't get arrested, otherwise they might have to hire someone who would be somewhat respectful to people who call asking about the company.
Cinco de Mayo--
well I ain't worried, I'm going to go eat some Mexican food and diss those illeagal immigrants.
relax, have some solar energy with that.
not now, later oilp. I'm trying to get this order filled, Jeeez. Good thing that's in block 1,,,
I think it is interesting that the US gov't may be extending a courtesy to STP, at the same time as Nigeria is pissed at them. Looks like they may be trying to enter through the same door CVXOM tried before the PSCs were signed.
I think and hope we will have a drop this afternoon. Not worried longer term.
Mongo and miredian with their "Oh, i'm sure that spot on your lung is nothing" approach to this matter are not fooling anyone who doesn't want to be fooled-
Ktfoold
How big a jerk do you have to be to repost this? Gargantuan, but please do your worst, as my order has not been filled.
Maestro, just as the only unforgiveable sin in Hollywood is making a bad movie, the only one in the oil patch that counts is not having any oil.
These duplicitous creeps will not be able to steal this out from under SEO, I am sure he has had a close enough look at enough thieves in his life to recognize them at a glance.
It's your money Doug. Looks like we won't get the earthquake that we have gotten before, only 2.5 million shares traded this morning...too bad, I was hoping for some really cheap shares.
Longer term, I think this is just a shadow of a non-event that has already passed us by. Does remind me of Dick Nixon somehow though.
recovering already? I believe we may just have another wave of selling yet this morning, as always JMO.
an ill wind blows someone good.
Buying opportunity, just hope it comes down to what I want to pay.
I don't know who on the board knows what but I will guarantee that SEO and assoc knew and have said nothing. Also, while laying this turd at our doorstep, they have put out NOTHING poistive. If this is a shake, it may not have been instituted by big oil. There may be a lot of people who want these shares, let's watch the volume on the selling.
Not a real TA fan, but I did enjoy the chart which shows your retirement in Brazil.
It may create bickering, but the agenda of the countries involved match up very well with EHRE and the Chinese and the small companies involved, while they seem to run counter to the agenda(S) of the Super majors.
The only thing that makes me think that CVXOM would be the operator is the influence the US might hold over the parties concerned. This is not inconsiderable.
We as shareholders may enjoy excercising our gray matter on these scenarios, but will have nothing to say about the outcome, except sell or hold.
crystal blue persuasion
It seems to me that the payment to ERHC was due 10 days after the signing of the PSC, the signing bonuses were due 20 days later. I would infer from that they were paid.
did not mean to offend, but I find the figure thrown out as laughable--said I'd sell my shares, but as someone said the price is currently .90-Since i'm long I'd like to see it go up and I think it will, if and only if there are at least one of two developments: 1- buy-in or buy out or 2- reserves proven.
Strass
"Jumping from board to board I'd say you are naive or trying to get the shareprice up on an unfounded rumor. JMHO"
Isnt that what you are doing?
I don't believe the rumor for a minute...and I am not naive enough to believe anyone on this board will raise the price of this stock.
Trading this morning at .89 and down, guess that $5 offer is not yet a fait-a-complis...
Is everyone looking at M as a contraindication of the truth?
As mrogop said, the price is currently .90 or thereabouts.
Well, us having rights to 9 billion bbl would mean that there is about 50 B barrels available for the whole club...that's alotta oil, even if its not the biggest discovery ever made.
I revise my statement though, and sell 50%.
Never fished there, wish I fished more. My mother was born in Belleville NY (near Watertown).
I think the chances of us owning rights to 9B bbl is remote, I'm taking the 5.
over $2 next month? Oh I think that is very optimistic, but hope you are right.
I like several other pie in the sky scenarios that put us at 3, 5, 8, and 9, too.
As far as I can tell, only two things will have a great impact on the sp: Proven reserves or (*.*) someone buying a great deal of the company.
For all you folks who might want to be on a UK exchange:
Nasdaq ups LSE to nearly 19%; Euronext bows out By Steve Goldstein, MarketWatch
Last Update: 10:26 AM ET May 3, 2006
LONDON (MarketWatch) -- The race for the London Stock Exchange ownership narrowed on Wednesday after the Nasdaq Stock Market increased its stake in the U.K. exchange and Euronext N.V. gave up entirely on the prospect of merging with its partner across the English Channel.
Nasdaq (NDAQ) said it bought another $291 million worth of shares to bring its London Stock Exchange (LSE) stake to nearly 19%, up from the 15% it secured in April.
LSE shares turned 1.5% higher, to 12.36 pounds a share, in afternoon London trading, following the announcement.
Nasdaq, which already was the largest LSE shareholder prior to Wednesday's move, said it paid 12.18 pounds a share for the additional stake.
The Nasdaq edged up slightly in early New York trade.
Though the Nasdaq is in pole position to acquire the LSE, it's barred by U.K. takeover rules from making a full bid for the LSE until the end of September, unless a rival makes a competing bid first.
The Nasdaq's increased stake came on the same day as Euronext (005777) pulled out of the running to buy the LSE, specifically citing the Nasdaq's stake purchase.
The Euronext had never been seen as a front-runner to buy the U.K. stock exchange, with American rivals the Nasdaq and the NYSE Group (NYX) seen as most likely to capture the London crown.
Euronext, which operates stock exchanges in Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels and Lisbon and a futures market in London, is more likely to combine with the Deutsche Boerse (581005) .
On Wednesday, Euronext said a merger with its German rival is a "serious option."
But the Euronext also didn't want to commit itself to a Deutsche Boerse deal, and said it's in talks with unnamed "other parties."
The NYSE has reportedly held talks with the Euronext, as has the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) .
The Borsa Italiana, which is preparing for an initial public offering, also has signaled readiness to partner with a European exchange.
Deutsche Boerse hasn't been as coy with its interest in Euronext, as the operator of the Frankfurt bourse and the majority owner of the Eurex futures exchange recently said a merger with Euronext is the "best possible approach" for European exchange consolidation.
Still, the European exchanges have their differences, notably over clearing arrangements, as well as in which capital a merged firm would be headquartered.
Euronext rose 1.9%, while the Deutsche Boerse slipped 0.6%
Noodling with the numbers...
IF blocks 2, 3, 4 each have a billion barrels of oil (a big if, but not totally unsupported by the research), then ERHE's share of that oil = about 480,000,000 barrels.
OF this, how much is claimed by the respective gov'ts?
How much cost to extract transport etc?

Well it seems to be real, if a little bit in the future.
The last time I "invested" in a company with no financials filed with the SEC, I got an unhappy surprise...
Those PRs look good though.
athere is no news on Yahoo, just a link to the dec 31 financials--
OOOPS!!!
NO SB/2 in April, even though Scott Miller hisself said it would be done in Dec (2005).
give it up.
can somebody explain percentages to this gentleman?
WHO EVER said Chevron wanted to trade part of block 1 to ERHE? Once again we have spiraling speculation fueled by silence. Nature does despise a vacuum, so to use a phrase from the oil industry "fill'er up boys".
Can you imagine if erhe put out a release>>
No it's pretty hard to imagine, having had no similar experiences...like one of my customers once told me "I can't visualize it unless I can see it." (true story)
my favorite candidate to be elected

Little’s Global Energy practice, where he led the upstream group in Houston, and before that, he was an Explorer with BP and in wider upstream roles with Amerada Hess and Chevron.
according to my careful(SWAG) calculations, with oil at $40 bbl, our market cap suggests assets of about 20 million bbl of oil. I think any way you slice this one, there's a pretty good safety margin.

you can talk with these people about ADDAX
I don't read or post this board on the weekend. But from the silence, I take it no announcement of results by CVX the JDA or anyone else coincided with the installation of the PM of STP?
Maybe today, maybe not, I still only know what I read about SEO, etc. but the various sources have confirmed the rights, only rumors so far about blk 1 (straddle, buy in-out etc.)
Is that correct?
CVX has taken longer to review this test well data than some of my customers take to decide to buy...lordy.
Disclaimer:
THe only thing I know about this stock is what I read and half (at least half) is speculation, inuendo, agenda-driven BS, & hopeful flights of fancy. OK?
wait!!! dan!!! there's news coming!!! it's really coming this time!!! don't go!!!
ooh, oooh, I'm not a technical person either, but I know this one! Tight Bol bands mean the stock is about to make an abrupt move (not necessarily up)--unless, like many technical indicators, it doesn't indicate anything.
