SEAQUESTER...MOXA...HSN is trying to sell the player with external speakers, that is why the price is higher..

Since i can not sit in front of the TV all day, i just called HNS and they said that the Gateway presentation will return at 1pm et...It will run again every two to three hours until tonight.

I asked the telephone rep if the players were sold out, because they did not show it during the 9 am show,[ they showed the player last night] and she checked and said that there were still in stock..

She asked for an order, but i said that i had to be wide awake this time to see the player again before i placed an order...

She is not the person to get it back on the air..

They might not show the player again because of the price...IMO, NSN probbly needs to sell the speakers to make it worth while...What is your take...

BOB...They were selling the player on TV . This is not just about being on their web-page....At 1AM i was flipping around the stations and i saw this women holding and drooling about the Gateway player...They showed a close up of the player and explained in detail the players features...I fell asleep a bit later, but she said that they were comming back to the player later in the show....

HSN was taking orders on the air...

It is now 9.25 AM. and the same show is on.Different hosts..They have sold over 5,000 PC'S since last night......They might show the MP-3 player again.....

THEY ARE REALLY PUSHING IT.....good nite.

I am a small time wholesaler...Any time I try to get new business from a dealership, to get my foot in the door, i have to "over pay".... If i have the attitude that i am doing them a favor and they should be happy with my low ball offer,, they will show me the door..

After a few cars bought they will see that i am a man of my word ; they will see that i am no fool and someone who will pay a fair price..

In EDIG case they must get their foot in the door first...Yep it has been a few years here...By now if their tech is what they claim, the future profits should increase....The days of giving away their products should end and must end.

Life is about making money and dealing with the good old boys.. Outcasts will not get in the door no matter what price they pay....Yep there are some exceptions..Nice guys do not always finish last...SL### B###S will always make the most loot.

So IMO , This is EDIG'S fourth quarter of the game...They have payed their dues....Now is the time to get the money and the respect that they claim their tech deserves...

IMO, Gateway dropped the ball....While the mp-3 player is not their salvation, not having a demo in stock will not help sell this player and their PC'S

I am amazed...Edig is not the only company that does not deliver ontime...I thought we were the only company to mess up.

The way Gateway used to be run, as best as i can remember, is that the stores never had much inventory....There used to be a store in Huntington. That store was closed down several months ago...

There are now two stores on LI both about 15 miles from me..
I bought an HP PC last X-MAS but almost choose a Gateway...Since they had a very small inventory in stock, and because you could have your PC your way, the sales help tried to direct you to the company web-site. Since I did not want to wait for delivery I chose the HP.

While they may make a higher profit online, you still need to have window dressing...If they are selling out, you still need to have a player behind curtain # 3 to show potential customers...

IMO, we all have a problem with LOOKING GOOD....It is cool to be talking on a phone..I do not know one person who has a voice feature on their cell phone that use it...They all scroll for their #'s.
It is still not exceptable to be talking on a cell phone in a public place, but we all put up with it..We do not care what others think..At this point you would be looking bad [ rude ] if you stood out of the crowd by talking to your PDA etc , in public...
I agree that in your car, the nav voice feature would be a winner.

MurryHill....I know that i showed you that player when it first came out during one of your trips to NYC..
WE know that i talk fast...Actually the voice feature worked fine...But we both were embarassed to be yelling out FRANK SINATRA...PLAY... in a crowded resturant...
IMO, THE FOOLISH FACTOR, is the reason for the many negative reviews.....Another fast talker...Packers... never had a problem with the voice feature....
