I think this is too big of a potential deal for even the people at Viva to disregard or try to gloss over.
Well, they may need cash, maybe they found it. We won't know until an announcement is made. The point being though, it's been almost a month since the formal closing was supposed to have taken place. They have to make an announcement one way or the other soon - otherwise they can probably expect their stock to take a real dive.
Investors are patient to a point. As we can see with the current price, the speculation about what will happen hasn't done anything to help the PPS.
Yes, I have followed this company for some time, and I *KNOW* nothing is ever on time. Word one way or the other has to come down anytime now though...
that depends on what happens with this merger. the merger finalization will raise the market cap siginificantly for Viva, and in turn should raise the PPS anywhere from $.60 - $1.00 would be my guess.
If Viva announces the close of this deal, there is no way their PPS can remain at .15 until February. Are you crazy?
it's not going to be mid-20 cents without any word on what is going on. positive news on the merger will send it much higher than .25 IMO
let us hope that's right . . . .
*ANOTHER* week? geez........
I do believe he's kidding.
the buyout/merger of a company is different than promising to buy a plane or two.
Does the FAA have to approve the purchase of a private carrier? not sure, will have to research that one.
Well, the bashers are out on RB today. There has to be news anyday now. Will today be the day? Only time will tell I guess. . .
I don't disagree with what you are saying...
that being said, VIVA needs to update the shareholders. It is now well past the official closing date promised, and other than a press release on 12/15 that said they need a few more days to hammer out the details, we've essentially heard nothing.
I think there is definitely some lightning in this POS, but not without more effective communication from management in regards to what is going on.
yes...but where is an update for Viva shareholders? I mean, this has been what, two weeks now since the purported closing date?
Any guesses how long news on this is going to take?
That article is over a week old . . .
That article is over a week old . . .
VIVA needs to release news about this before 12/8. Investors need to be reassured, especially with the deal supposed to have been finished on 11/15
welcome back
I hear that. Revenue is revenue though. It's a growing concern and it is getting better as the months go by. This deal should be huge for Viva, and thus the pps.
10Q is out. thoughts?
Agreed. I'm excited to see what comes this week.
well, I can honestly say I see this deal as a HUGE step in the direction for Viva, maybe it will even allow for new management to enter the picture as well. wonder how long 'a few more days' is for the finish of the merger?
as I understand it, foreign investment in airlines is limited to under 50% ownership (ask Richard Branson what he thinks of that!), so I assume they could possibly receive a substantial foreign investment.
I also don't think you should look at this from the perspective of the big boys, i.e. Delta, United, etc... they have HUGE pensions to worry about and workers who have been around forever makin' large salaries. With a small company like this with a tremendous arena for growth, the idea of this company is limitless. They are hitting a largely untapped market in the Caribbean.
think about it. over 24 million in revenues with assured money from the federal government for certain routes? It gives Viva money to expand the fleet for caribbean operations and assures them a certain amount of revenue. The stock for this HAS to takeoff with the closing of this merger. Otherwise the deal for stock wouldn't make sense from RegionsAir exec P.O.V.
Well, this will in sorts be a 'new' company with some new players coming on board management wise from REgionsAir I'm sure. Just because Viva has r/s'd in the past doesn't mean that will happen here.
This pps will rise on news of the completed merger IMO.
good riddance, let's get this PPS on the rise!
I don't see this as a meltdown. Sometimes paperwork takes longer than expected...I'm sure everyone here has had to deal with lawyers for one reason or another at some point. They don't make anything EASY.
Anyone see this being completed by Friday?
GLTA
Any thoughts on where GRMU might go...aside from up?
Where did you get the date for the reservation system being up online? I haven't come across that anywhere. . .
Anybody heard anything about possible merger news?
Any updates on the merger?
still not back to otcbb - what gives?
The ? becomes, why didn't they mention the subsidiary in the 10Q, even if it merged with GFY later on?
They are looking for more mergers too eh? Wonder where the next angle will come from?
It was not listed publicly, anywhere I can find at least.
seems like nice volume today after almost none for the past week and half. Good news coming soon maybe?
Thanks for the link...
If the deal is now finalized, why wouldn't GFY make an announcement? Something to help the dismal stock price?
The likelihood of a merge happening anytime soon is remote, no? What do they have to offer another company?
Like someone else posted there is no mention of Terry Moye & Associates, that merger was supposedly 'finalized' from the PR that I read - but there is absolutely no mention of it in the 10Q.
Does anyone have a way of finding out for sure?
Anybody have a link to the DOT filings for RegionsAir? Hard to find any hard financial facts on this company...
