Meetings over, anyone have a timeline on final approval?
I want to do the math on the potential earnings but there are so many variables that it would be a waste.
What price are you thinking about selling at?
Personally I can see PLM hitting $5.00 on permit approvals. Any thoughts?
Selling now is waaaayy to risky. The mine is going to go forward there is no questions about that.
Just wait. Wall Street is coming.. 2018 is going to be monumental.
What price do you expect PLM to hit after permit to mine is received?
Of once the operation gets started?
The H.R.3115 bill will be approved soon and that will put a stop to those garbage lawsuits. The city just paid the construction firm over 400k to start preparing the water treatment plant. It's approved, it's just a matter of going through the "processes"
I'm still trying to figure out what PLM stock price should look like after approval.. any ideas?
My thoughts exactly, why would the judge take the criticism hit when when HR 3115 will do it.

WASHINGTON, D.C., July 6, 2017 -
Today, Interior Secretary Ryan Zinke signed Secretarial Order 3354 to identify solutions to streamline the permitting process for mineral leases on federal lands. Chairman Rob Bishop (R-UT) issued the following statement:
“Secretary Zinke’s commitment to foster regulatory certainty and unleash our energy potential is a welcome shift in priorities at Interior. We will be working in close coordination with the Secretary to provide the Department with the statutory tools to ensure that responsible energy development on federal lands is no longer held hostage to intransigent bureaucracy and ludicrous permitting delays.”

Panel: Regulatory Uncertainty, Red Tape Discourages Responsible Energy Development
WASHINGTON, D.C., June 29, 2017 -
“It’s vitally important to restore our multiple-use mission, and strike the appropriate balance in onshore leasing that allows for job creation in rural America,” Katharine MacGregor, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Land and Minerals Management at the Department of the Interior, said. “Under Secretary Zinke’s leadership the BLM has had more lease sales, offered more acreage and generated more revenue in the first six months of 2017 than the same time last year. And we’re only just getting started.”
In an exchange with Dr. Laura Nelson, Chairman Rob Bishop (R-UT) proposed a system by which royalties rates correspond with timely permitting creating a win-win situation for taxpayers and industry alike.
“So the only reason someone would actually bid on federal lands is if they can make money, and the longer it takes to permit, the longer it takes to go through litigation, the longer it takes to try and get those areas, then, it simply means it’s not profitable,” Bishop added. “[Companies] are willing to pay more money if they could actually be in production. Which should be an idea for the federal government, that if we can actually guarantee you’re going to be in production and the permitting process goes further faster, people would be willing to pay more simply to do that.”

And you can trust that Nolan would not be doing this if it was to be denied. They have the support and have already agreed to it behind doors. Its a done deal. cant wait for the out come!

Can someone who is in Minnesota help explain to me this Governor's veto and how this directly affects Polymet. It is my understanding that this bill addresses certain tax cuts for business property owners and cuts to legislative operating budget. There are other part of the bill that fund infrastructure projects so I guess I'm lost at why you guys are hung up on these few line items.
Also, the state needs all the tax money that they can get their hands on as they are facing a pension crisis and credit downgrade soon. Seems like Dayton is in a pickle and feels a b**ch for being strong armed into the bill, looks like his veto is a political temper tantrum for him not getting his way.

That's odd considering this just came out today.

I'm sure that those same yards used to have Pro Hillary signs also. We see how that turned out, Polymet is legit and will mine, my only concern is a reverse split, had a bad experience with Citi stock. MF'ers did the split at .50 went to $3.00 and dropped from there. Short term it was bad, long term it was good the stock is now at $68. Either way I am not selling PLM it is a 100% go, be it tomorrow or 5 years I'll ride the wave to victory.
And we already know that this is getting approved because the city of Hoyt Lake alreasy sold municipal bonds for this project. The wastewater treatment plant.

DNR – State Requests Review of PolyMet’s Public Waters Work permit application
Public Waters Work Permit
DNR has sent PolyMet’s Public Waters Work Permit application, dated May 16, 2017, to local units of government having jurisdiction in such matters for their review, as required by MN Rule 6115.0250. The DNR has also sent the permit application to the Bois Forte Band of Chippewa, the Grand Portage Band of Lake Superior Chippewa, and the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa for review. Following a 30-day review period, the DNR will consider input received from these governmental entities and determine whether to proceed with preparing a draft Public Waters Work Permit. This governmental review of the application is not the public input stage of the process. At a future date, the DNR will seek public review and input on draft permit decisions.
The Public Waters Work Permit application is for a culvert extension to initiate the widening of the Dunka Road for the proposed NorthMet Project

Well said,
Just the consolidated lawsuits. That main waterlegacy one is being decided now and the judge could come out with a statement any day now. But even their case is horrible. And the judge in that case has served under both Republican and Democratic presidents and was extremely successful in her years in the private sector.
Its a done deal, Polymet has impact statements, Approvals from US army engineering and all types of other $h*t.
The plaintiffs complaints consists of Joe Blow paddling down the river and witnessing a moose giving birth and the beautiful sight of a downed tree etc. these guys dont have a leg to stand on. it is literally rubbish, just awful time wasting garbage. I'm buying even more on Monday. This thing is done and the plaintiffs know it. It really looks like a pathetic attempt to stop this mine, its sad really. Lol
Their lawsuit is equivalent to watching a guy trying to race formula one in a car that he and his uncle built in the garage on weekends. I admire the attempt, the togetherness, but now it just really looks silly. The judge is annoyed and wants to put this rabid dog to sleep.
Court decisioning on all cases appear to be happening at 3pm on 08/03/2017.

FEDERAL DEFENDANTS’
MOTION FOR EXTENSION
OF TIME TO RESPOND TO
PLAINTIFF’S MOTION FOR
PRELIMINARY
INJUNCTION
Plaintiff
v.
USDA FOREST SERVICE,
THOMAS TIDWELL, IN HIS
OFFICIAL CAPACITY AS CHIEF
OF THE USDA FOREST SERVICE,
CONSTANCE CUMMINS, IN HER
OFFICIAL CAPACITY AS FOREST
SUPERVISOR OF THE SUPERIOR
NATIONAL FOREST,
The Federal Defendants hereby move for a two-week extension of time within which to respond to Plaintiff’s Motion for Preliminary Injunction (Docket No. 9), which would cause the response to be due on or before March 30, 2017. In support thereof, the Federal Defendants state as follows:
1. Under local rule 7.1, the response is currently due March 16, 2017. Since the preliminary injunction motion was filed, the Federal Defendants have been working diligently to prepare a response.
2. Plaintiff’s motion raises a number of significant issues, including but not limited to likelihood of success on the merits of this litigation involving complex regulatory, CASE 0:17-cv-00276-JNE-LIB Document 29 Filed 03/09/17 Page 1 of 3 2 scientific, public policy and other matters. Adequately responding to these issues requires considerable and time-intensive factual and legal research.
3. Preparing the Federal Defendants’ response likewise requires coordination among the U.S. Attorney’s Office, the USDA General Counsel’s Office, the Forest Service Regional Office, and the Superior National Forest. Key contact people within these offices have been and will be on business and/or long-scheduled personal travel during much of the time period between the filing of Plaintiff’s motion and the current March 16 response due date.
4. The undersigned counsel is awaiting a litigation report from the Forest Service that will provide critical information needed to prepare the response.
5. The undersigned counsel has had and does have substantial investigative, settlement-related, and litigation obligations in numerous other matters, including but not limited to work required to meet a March 10 dispositive motion deadline in Moore v. Bureau of Prisons, 16-cv-709 (PAM/SER) (D. Minn.); a March 17 motions response deadline and March 29 appellate brief deadline in Schuett v. LaRiva, Case No. 17-1210 (8th Cir.); and an April 6 habeas corpus response deadline in Morganfield v. Rios, 17-cv-304 (WMW/FLN) (D. Minn.)
In all the listed matters, the undersigned counsel serves as primary litigation counsel personally responsible for presenting the government’s case in court.
6. Jay Johnson, counsel for Intervenor PolyMet Mining, Inc., has indicated that he concurs in this request for additional time to respond to Plaintiff’s preliminary injunction motion. CASE 0:17-cv-00276-JNE-LIB Document 29 Filed 03/09/17 Page 2 of 33
7. Although the undersigned counsel consulted with Plaintiff’s counsel Paula Maccabee, and offered that the Forest Service would refrain from (a) signing any Exchange Agreement until June 1 or until the Court rules on Plaintiff’s motion, whichever is sooner, and from (b) making or allowing any ground-disturbing land management changes until the Court rules on the motion, Ms. Maccabee did not agree to the request for additional time.
8. Should the Court grant Defendants’ request, other deadlines would be affected. The undersigned counsel stands ready to work cooperatively with counsel and the Court on whatever additional rescheduling may be necessitated by the granting of this motion.
9. This motion is being filed in good faith and not merely for purposes of delay. CONCLUSION Accordingly, the Federal Defendants request an additional two weeks within which to respond to Plaintiff’s motion for preliminary injunction, making the response due on or before March 30, 2017. Nevermind... man, those houses are HORRIBLE looking and expensive. It reminds me of being here in Los Angeles. YUCK
I wonder if it would be a good idea to buy homes in the Hoyt Lakes? Once the mine is approved i am sure that will give a slight boost to the area.
Looks like Jon Cherry may be replaced. Dennis M. Bartlett has a pretty extensive record of running DOMESTIC mining operations.
Dennis M. Bartlett has over 30 years of experience in the mining industry. He began his career with Phelps Dodge in 1977 as a mining engineer at the Tyrone, New Mexico copper operation. During the 1980’s, he held positions in mine planning and mine operations at the Tyrone and Chino mines. In the early 1990’s, he was technical services manager for the development, construction and start-up of the Candelaria mine in Chile. After returning from Chile, Mr. Bartlett served as general manager of the Morenci mine in Arizona, president of Chino Mines Company in New Mexico, President of Climax Molybdenum Company and Vice President, North American Operations for Phelps Dodge Mining Company. From 2001 to 2003, he served as Senior Vice President, Mining Operations in charge of all Phelps Dodge copper mining operations in North and South America. He then served as Senior Vice President, Development for Phelps Dodge Mining Company (subsequently Freeport-McMoRan Mining Company) from 2003 through 2007. Mr Bartlett has been with Cupric Canyon Capital since the beginning of 2010.
