"Scam" is not a little harsh. IMO, it's entirely appropriate. They never got the 10 million 'cause there never was a CBD deal. That was a hoax as well. If you're holding on here based on anything Michael Ogburn said or did, you're doomed.
You're being set up.
What happened to all the big money Hollywood power broker types that were just waiting to throw money at this. Now they're looking for private financing to the tune of 10 million USD. And you can count on the terms of that financing will be toxic.
This is a drawing of a cartoon of a proposed technology. Why waste my time with it?
So, how many deadlines have we missed lately with this stock?
Comments about others not having a life are inappropriate. The simple truth is that not everyone shares in the baseless exuberance for this stock. This stock should be re-named "Still Waiting."
This is an open board. Didn't see anything that said I couldn't comment.
It says he lost a bunch of money to these scammers, and he's pissed. Seems like a normal reaction to me.
Spanky, sorry it took so long to post this, relocating 300 miles takes some of my time right now.
You're right in that 10% CBD hemp is much closer to the $400/lb range. That is not hemp fiber, it is hemp flowers. MO even mentions flowers and buds in his PR.
You are aware that any product made with the flowers or extract thereof s still a Schedule 1 narcotic, under the CSA?
Unless he has some special DEA permit through another fictitious Indian Chief, he's just blowing the same smoke.
For some reason I could not find the PR that the transaction was closed. Do you have a link?
You can confirm this just reading some of the hemp industry's own publications.
The problem is that in order to get CBD concentrations high enough for commercial production, you have to use the flowers. And the flowers are specifically prohibited by the DEA.
Can you tell me what you mean by "high quality", as opposed to regular hemp?
What's fake about it?
I've done far more than a weeee bit of research on these gents. And for several years.
You want to dance with Bill Bills, be my guest.
Three rules for checking a scam.
1. Never ask the scammers if it is a scam. They always say it isn't.
2. Check numbers. Industrial hemp in bulk does not sell for $525 a pound. The current price, available from a freely accessible website for professional hemp traders, is about $24 a kilo. That makes Ogburn's profit projections just BS.
3. Check background. Spend half an hour and google William Bills, one of the partners. Dig down past the first two or three hits and read the really good stuff.
Oh, and any mention of "bud" is bogus. in order to be legal it must be stems and branches only or it is a schedule one drug.
At $525 a pound your in the range of weed, not hemp.
This is beginning to look like a "crew" working together. MO, Bills, and now.............Taylor?
Unreasonable expense? Why not just use some of the money he took from IBRC?
Right. Look at their history of failure to perform on promises ON TIME, and put it all off on impatience.
More believable: A group of people who don't want to work, but still want to make money. I believe they call that a scam, imvho.
Yawn.......hardly working.
The PR wasn't sub standard. It was crap.
I was wondering if I was the only one that noticed that. At least they're admitting to one lie.
They did not keep their promise. Besides a day and time, they promised that this would clarify the situation and their plans going forward.
That's an epic failure to keep your promise. But, we're used to that, aren't we.
That would be a great conversation.
O'Leary: So, do you have a patent for this technology?
Lay: Of course.
O'Leary: Can we see it?
Lay: No, we keep it secret so no one can steal our technology by reading the patent.
O'Leary (offstage): NEXT!
I think we should see if we can get Mr. Lay on "Shark Tank". Watching him try to answer questions from O'Leary or Cuban would be a real side splitter.
My reply to Brynna would be if you can't take the heat, get outta the kitchen.
You're dealing with someone who actually believes that you should conceal your patents to protect them. To me, that's sort of like saying "I didn't bring my pistol to the gunfight cause I was afraid someone would take it away from me."
Let me clarify. What is being questioned is the credibility of the current management.
Let me ask you this. When they were putting out all the news about the CBD deal and the oil website, didn't that appear to be good information?
I agree, Avant. These ARE questions for the company. My point was that everyone on this board should have been asking them these questions, and not accepting suspicious answers to questions about patents, etc.
Really? I already have looked into those other things. Months ago. As far as getting back to you, my motto is "Do your OWN due diligence." But, as a hint, in the soft target protection realm, look at Boeing.
Which definition of lie are you referring to? DL stated publicly that they had a $13M CBD deal inherited from IBRC and all proceeds from that deal would stay with DL. They confirmed that there was an escrow opened. They put out a bogus CBD oil website. Now they say they had no intention of remaining in the oil business from the start, openly admitting that they mislead everyone and were just looking for a cheap listing on OTC. I may be wrong, but that looks like a lie to me.
And if it's not a lie, what is it?
I'm talking about several things. One is that when someone has lied to you, you do not implicitly believe them in the future. And another is that you question every claim. For example, did you check for any laboratory or university affiliations, any place where all this research was done? Or possibly look around to see if there's any competition in the field? (there is, despite DL's claims) Did you follow up on their claims for this border defense hoax?
Good. Enjoy.
Stop referring to this as DD. Due diligence requires THIRD PARTY, INDEPENDENT verification. A conversation with the company shill does not qualify.
My question was "what happened to the deposit"?
Let me check. What day is it?
They also stated that there was indeed a $13M deal in progress, that a deposit was in escrow, and all current and future revenues from the CBD business would go with DL. What happened to the deposit?
The only hole I see in that story is the fact that 'tutes have restrictions imposed on themselves. The vast majority of them, and all the credible ones, are restricted from investing in anything under a dollar, and a smaller majority can't touch anything under five. Got a plan for that part?
As a side show, this is going to be hugely entertaining.
If you're talking about the Newswire posting, I notice that now. That's kinda strange, don't you think?
