With a 3/4 swing, right? LOL
Slo: You were right.
;) Well, it's supposed to be HS, but you wouldn't know it sometimes.
Haven't seen the fishing commercials.
But then I don't have cable or satellite, so I just get 'normal' tv (13 channels, not bad for rabbit ears).
I'm pretty sure I wouldn't get any work done if I could access sports or specialty channels (not that that would be a bad thing!). A few of my friends (with cable/satellite) who have an interest in E21 and sports in general mentioned that they haven't seen any ads either. Hmmmmmmmm.............
Yeah, the accuracy of the reporter's writing could be the issue here, as you say. It may have been an assumption on his part.
It also speaks to the lack of profile that E21 seems to 'enjoy' in the golfing industry.
I don't remember Callaway being mentioned before......
"(From golfweek.com)
Rich Beem and Vijay Singh recently received something PGA Tour members rarely come across -- a bill for equipment. Beem confirmed that he was asked to pay $50 per shaft by Kanata LLC, a small company that distributes golf shafts made of scandium through Callaway......."
Hey Slo
Based on some of our previous conversations, you would have expressed the same sentiment, but I'm pretty sure you would have made the same point with more brevity LOL
Take care.

This makes absolutely no sense to me either.
E21 struggles to get their product into the hands of someone with a high profile in the golfing world, it happens in a left-handed way (Vijay decides to use the shafts without endorsement and has continued and consistent success using them, not to mention winning the Fedex Cup while doing so), other players and caddies on the tour would be noticing and becoming aware of what he's using, he comes back for product for re-shafting and spares, and the distributor wants to bill him?
You can't buy the kind of exposure that Vijay (and the now lost potential exposure from Beem's usage) may have provided as one of the many steps towards gaining broader acceptance by other pros and ultimately the general buying public.
Before making the idiotic decision to bill Vijay and Beem, there should have been discussion between Kanata and E21. If Kanata is so hard up, then E21 should have told Kanata that THEY would cover the $50/shaft. Big deal. Thirty shafts at $30-$50 shaft means E21 would have paid Kanata between $900 and $1,500 per order. Or E21 and Kanata could have split the cost of this very valuable 'promotion' between them. Or E21 could have arranged to replenish Kanata's inventory 'loss' with discounted or free shafts with Kanata's next order.
There were a ton of ways to get these shafts into the hands of these players (or in Vijay's case, keep them there), and they blew it. I can't see Vijay making a sudden change in his shafts at the moment, considering his comfort zone with his current clubs. The fact that he asked for additional shafts is a testament to his commitment to continued use of them.
E21 and Kanata both lost any sense of goodwill and corporate partnership with the players on this one.
Someone at these companies was definitely looking down at their feet instead of the future when they made this decision.
Take care.

Let's have a few examples, Guido.

Very Odd.
The last three buys going through at the ask, and the last sell going through at the bid.
Hmmmmmmmm...............
Hi Jack:
Yep, could be.
Or Newbies to the stock buying game in general putting in buys at market price. Hard to imagine anyone buying 100 shares at a time. Ya never know. Good way to get your feet wet without risking the house, I guess.
Fan
Slo/Jack:
Click on ETGF Quote link, then on that page click on 'Trades'. That will show you the buys/sells.
Very interesting that those two 100 shares buys and one 500 shares buy were at the ask. Look at what the bid was when they were bought.
Ya think there might be a little bit of playing around going on here?

Off-Topic posts will be deleted.
TOU Refresher
Off-topic: Any off-topic discussion is a violation of TOU. If your post is not about the stock for the board you're posting to, do not post it. Use email, private message, or post it to a board where it is on-topic.
This includes being derisive to, attacking, maligning, or insulting other posters, rather than discussing the stock.
And for those who aren't aware, only the moderator can delete posts.

Guido: Your math is off.
You refer to .01 upticks, then use a .10 uptick in your calculations.
One cent upticks would afford you the following return:
Buy 5000 @ .50 = $2500
Sell 5000 @ .51 = $2550
Gross Profit: $50 - $20 commission = Net Profit: $30
Yep, you must be making money hand over fist.
And there you have it.........
Hey Slo
Been away for a week or so.

Guido: Nice try.
But I have no idea what you're talking about.
And there you go again, with fantasy stated as fact. And then make an editorial comment on the false fact you provided. You don't have to Google anyone to find them here. Nice that you were able to find another 103 people with your name, though.
As usual, you missed the entire point of the exercise.
Try re-reading #3515 again, only this time apply some comprehension skills.
Also, nice attempt at deflection. Again. Do you actually read any posts and digest what's being said?
Apparently not.
And you have yet to point out to everyone where your 'sources' information is in your post # 3498. Maybe you're right - only blind posters can see where that info is on that particular post.
Welcome back to TOU.
Back to your fantasy world.........
Yeah, that seemed high to me too.
Although the figures were quoted as being annual, and the amounts 'as of 2007'.
Seems odd that a 'consultant' would make so much more than the 'president'.
Do you get it now, Guido?
Do you get how an unfounded rumor, a baseless innuendo, an uninformed statement of opinion as fact, or an allusion to an imagined scenario does nothing to enhance your credibility, and could cause unnecessary confusion, undeserved derision, hurt or harm to another?
Congrats for zeroing in on the planted innuendo. Not too enjoyable being the subject of one, is it? I'm sure your initial response upon reading it was "What's he talking about? That never happened!".
And you knew your position was defendable. Unlike your statements regarding insiders buying stock prior to the R/S, or posters on this board being connected to E21.
Unless something is in the public record and available for all to see, any "And this I know for sure. I suspect that etc etc......" into any flight of fancy that suits you only sets up a 'he said/no he didn't' parlay that serves no purpose, and neither side can prove anything one way or the other.
So. Do you get it?
Thanks for playing............

Hey Slojab:
How are ya doin'?
I know, he's a waste of space.
They realised that over on the other IHUB board where he used to post, it seems the MOD admonished him over there. So he sulked his way over here.
I'm always willing to give a bit more leeway, posting and TOU-wise here. There has to be room for folks to both vent, and go rah-rah, without feeling that there's some boom hovering over them, waiting to drop. I'm all for reasonable questions and responses, but sometimes...............
Hope you're doing well these days, even though you may not be one of the 'real people' on the board LOL.
Take care. Slo.

Wrong again, Guido.
"I ALWEAYS (sic) KNEW CEO WAS A WOMAN!"
Your post #3460: "Hmmmm...from last sentence sounds as if the Good Dr. reads some of my criticisms of his fine PR folk's press releases."
Yeah, right. You knew Hearn was a woman. When I told you that last week.
And where are the sources in your post #3498?
That's the post I was replying to.
Please point them out to me.
I'm waiting.............
Once again, though, I'm extremely impressed that you were able to find a general blip about reverse splits, with a source and everything. Thanks for posting what we already knew.
You aren't playing with anyone here. You're not even playing with a full deck.
Why don't you go back to post #1 and catch up on what's been discussed here?
And every poster on this board is a real person and not a spin doctor, regardless of your innuendo to the contrary.
"E21 wanted to get its stock price into the dollar range to attract more investors."
Considering that you are quoting someone, to whom do you attribute that statement?
Could you post a link to the origin of that statement?
I'm sure everyone here would also be interested in where you suddenly discovered your 'sources' and 'insiders' as well.
Referring to unnamed 'sources' on a message board earns you about as much credibility as you deserve...........zero.
I'm impressed that you're now so well informed as to the inner workings of this company, when last week you didn't even know that the president was a woman, nor the current slate of company executives.
Carry on.
"I'm used to delegating"
;)
".......enlighten us on E21 execs, please..........please direct me or provide us with the current list of E21 Execs........"
Have you ever visited the E21 website?
Why don't you try looking in the obvious places before asking others to do your work for you?
On the contrary, Guido.
I've been waiting for some response from you to that very statement. Waiting to see if you could actually get up off your duff and engage in some research on your own.
Congratulations on taking the first step towards doing your own due diligence, and not asking others to do your work for you.
What took you so long?
Nala:
Take heart.
The Tigers are from Detroit too.
But I hear what you're saying.

Why does the downslide after the R/S interest you?
That seems to happen frequently with an R/S, especially when there's no support (sentiment, finances, revenue increases, astounding news, etc) to back up the R/S.
And you fail to mention that the stock just as quickly moved back up to $2.60 and sat there for ages, before sliding to where it is now.
I don't jump quickly at all. I move on innuendo and falsehoods made by those who are too lazy to do their own DD. Most posters here are aware of the history of negative rantings by uninformed or disgruntled shareholders on E21 MBs, and have learned from it, and don't want to go back there.
I would think that someone of your age should have learned something from history by this point, as well.
And your executive list is woefully out of date, by the way.
Shades of Stock-Pirate
"And this is what I know. I suspect those on this web who try to castrate me at every turn are the very 'insiders' who bought thousands of shares BEFORE the R/S and set up Sells at $2.60!" - Uncle Guido
Yep. Buy thousands of shares at .13 or higher, wait for the reverse split, then sell at the equivalent of .13/share.
Or less.
Nice try at a conspiracy theory.
Jeeeeez.........
Stockholders have bitched and posted about it for three years.
There was no story to begin with.
That subject of E21 not being able to use an unendorsed athlete's name or likeness has been discussed for over three years, on this board, on Yahoo and on Raging Bull.
Why do you think that because you finally got around to mentioning it a few weeks ago that you're responsible for the 'unmentionable' statement in the PR around the same time?
And why were you the only poster who seemed not to know the legal ramifications of unauthorised use of a 'celebrity' name or image?
What on August 29 are you referring to?
Jack:
Sorry to hear that your Dad died last week.
My thoughts are with you and your family.

Yeah. That's right.
Dr. Hearn reads your posts.
Dr. Nataliya Hearn. SHE, not he, reads your posts.
Uh-huh.
SHE now instructs HER PR department to scan the internet for your criticisms before they release a PR.
Jeeeeezzz........
The PRs have nothing to do with journalism, or 'journalism laws' as you called it.
It has to do with outside suppliers abiding by rules governing corporate endorsement contracts. And if you were an outside supplier hoping to snag one of those corporations as an OEM, don't you think you'd tread lightly around what could be interpreted as stepping on their toes?
As you said, everyone knows that Vijay won those tournaments.
Mentioning him by name in the PRs is a moot point.
And it's not going to be a PR mentioning Vijay's name in the same breath as E21 that's going to cause a 'run' on E21 equipment. Basically the only people that read the PRs are those who have a stake in E21.
It will take a much broader level of exposure to the general public to increase the awareness of the product. It will take something like Vijay being interviewed on a national television show, the interviewer being aware of the shafts, asking Vijay about them, and then mentioning them by name. It would be interesting to see how Vijay handled that.
I can't see that scenario coming to pass, though.
Vijay obviously likes the shafts. If he felt it was within allowable bounds and that it wouldn't somehow contravene his endorsement contract, then why do you think he doesn't mention the product by name? And unless he's financially endorsed by E21, there's no reason for him to bring it up.
It's like an interviewer asking Ryan Howard what kind of bat he uses to hit home runs.
E21 needs Steve Pate to start finishing in the top ten, and win a tournament, to start generating the kind of necessary exposure for the product that everyone wants to see.
And I think since Vijay has been fairly successful recently, that other players on the tour may be curious as to what equipment he's using now. I doubt that there's much that one tour player can't find out about another tour player, when it comes to equipment.
Vijay can't say anything officially, but I don't think it would hurt Cleveland's reputation by admitting that he uses E21 shafts in his irons...............

I find that when they put the holes closer to where I end up on the greens, the putting's much easier ;)
It was great for the drama coming down the stretch, but you could see that he felt his putter was letting him down (seems like Mickelson and Westwood weren't all that pleased with their putting either)
We should ALL come so close to the hole on 20 foot putts!
Take care slojab
