We don't really know that, but given there was a YE sell-a-ton going on prior to deal finalizing, I'll stay of the opine that they timed the PR well announcing it this week.
Link isn't working
I just checked this.
CV Sciences Inc (QB) (CVSI)
SP 0.1775

(27.79%)
Volume: 875,813

What is driving the SP up so fast. Will it hold?? Fingers crossed.
Did I misread? Apologies. I'll delete that post as it is misleading.
I disagree, as I mentioned, even way back then, was it gmo? I asked questions for clarification as, I am not a horticulturist, and I am not as involved in MJ as you are. You have pointed me to many good articles and I have learned.
I never tried to call USDA Organic Hemp BE, reread my post....
Darth, dang it, I wasn't implying anything about CW, neither was Ania. There are, as Ania mentioned yeast CBD and water soluble. The question was, how this new law might affect the CBD industry. I think she brought up some valid points. I think, also those products which use synthetic CBD,as in pharma, would have to label as such.
So ultimately, legit growers and mfgs are in the clear.
No need for controversy in this discussion.
Do you have any insight or thought on this other than what is already shared?
I like your thoughts. Maybe this whole labeling will curb some of the out of control BE and return nutrition to foods.
Thanks for the conversation.
So this plant would be a BE, and would have to identify as such on labels as it was genetically manipulated and not cross bred? Water soluble is not really natural. Yeah... I've a lot to learn.
Ania, crossbreeding and grafting are ancient ways of creating a new plant, IMHO, this practice is proven. Where I'm lost is how many CBD plants fall under this category. I think most would, right?
At, ay, ay, I might have them blocked.
Volume did not go up as much today, but better than some. I'll do it again later.
well, we were much lower today. I'll do it again later in the month.
Darth, I have a question for you as you are so knowledgeable in this area
BE (bio engineered) disclosure are required on labels as of Jan 1. What does this mean for the CBD industry? Truly, I do not know anything about horticulture, are any bio-engineered or are they simply selectively bred?
Guess the volume at EOD within 5%, and I'll send you gummies. Cut off time 2:00 PM EST; 11:00 AM PST.
Why not have some fun today???
Good Luck!
And... They were wise enough to release the news in the new year instead of last month during the sell-a-ton. I would think this is a good move, and the up movement will hold, instead of being beaten down last week.
New Year is here!
So the trademark is still pending, they need to address a few issues to make it work. Let's see how they respond, they have 6 months to address this, hopefully it will happen sooner.
Not really, 2021 was the year of building up ones immunity. But, hey, it does bother you, so maybe it's the old philosophy of thirds? 1/3 of the people will like, 1/3 will hate and 1/3 will be indifferent?
California packaging requirements for CBD products does require PER SERVING labeling on package. This is good, as most CBD companies out there were labeling total mg per container and most, simply to increase the ml created a larger container. That is some of the nonsense that had to be corrected and why most of the bad actors will simply fail in the future. My old boss (I quit that place... so dishonest) had the philosophy that if people were not smart enough to figure it out on their own, too bad. Here's hoping they take a deep dive, (you listening KM??)
But still 30 servings. One of the new label requirements in CA is per serving clearly stated, this is to eliminate a lot of the confusing info on labels. Consumers should now be able to compare like items in products. So CW is higher in price over CVSI, maybe 18% higher. (Being last, not going back to verify price)
True. My average has dropped significantly to $0.53; I'm happy with that. Reached my arbitrary goal of a 0.2% holding. I'm going to hold.
Happy New Year!
I bought too early yesterday.
Well, I bit, picked up some more today. Hoping for a rebound next week.
The products on line are 3rd party sellers, topical and none I found mentioned CBD. Checking on Charlotte's web storefront the labels are slightly different, and clearly mention CBD at CW. The question is.... Has CW created a cream without CBD with new labels, or are the 3rd party sellers altering the images and misrepresenting the CW products?
Question remains... Are the products being properly marketed per Amazon policy, or is someone misleading.
I can understand that, however, the products do not carry 100% to both sites, and the current sale of 30-50% off is only on the PlusCBD site, you go to the CVSciences store and no sale.
What would the reasoning be on that? Study of sales?
I had a thought today... Maybe they want a plusCBD site and one for the separate division? Perhaps it would be best to simply have combined sites until CV007 GOES live? IMHO once that product hits the shelves, it should sell itself.
I don't see any actual cv science products at Walmart. Give me a link for an actual product.
So, at this time I think CVSciences has an webstore store issue. I have written them about this in the recent past and have not recieved any response. So I think whoever is in charge of Web ordering simply doesn't let management know the issues.
I received an e-mail this morning for a great ear end sale at PlusCBD.com, placed my order, but also purchased a gift for my daughter.... her address was not in my drop down, it is on CVSciences.com store. CVSciences.com store is not having the same sale.
WTH? WHO IS NAVIGATING THIS WEBSTORE SHIP? I have to agree there is an issue here which needs to be resolved.
CVSI are you listening? Do you even care how this affects customers???
GNC is still in business. What day you now?
Noted you aversion to reorganization. Let's revisot this layer, shall we? Vertical companies do this, you know.
Happy Christmas.
So obvious... Only to the states that have legalized it in foods.
BTW. Happy Christmas
That's a great one. Edibles back in GNC.
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to all!
Merry Christmas to all!
hmm. There are/were a bunch of nicotine/cbd vapes around already. The problem was whether they used PG or VG in their base, both cause issues with vaping. A friend used it to try to quit smoking, went back to cigs.
If the Israeli company comes out with something other that CBD/Nicotine combo, who knows.
CVSI is investing in CHEWING TOBACCO cessation more than smoking. That is a bigger issue worldwide over smoking. But yes, I'd be pissed if this simply overrode the patent and med in CVSI. Perhaps CVSI should get on the wagon and introduce the vape?? But, part of the smoking cessation is getting rid of the habit of putting something in your mouth.
here is a thought....
the SEC filing today states
That would be good, if the pharma companies wanted to have CBD in supplements. However, if they keep CBD and other cannabinoids in meds, they may very well not only influence the FDA via more meds with CBD, and may well try to control the cbd market by restricting use. I see it as a long uphill battle.
I see that it is purchasing it. I have a friend who used CBD/THC to heal stomach issues. But, being, perhaps, a devils advocate and how much the Pharma industry loves to sell man-created meds, is it conceivable, that, they are willing to spend now, shelf the product, and continue to peddle meds that mask the health issue, and not heal. Once the issue is healed, they loose money on the other meds they sell. As they have control of the FDA and the FDA has elected to ignore hemp, it is very possible, this product will be shelved, as at the current time, it is not approved for use anywhere on the planet.
Thoughts outside the box.
I wonder if they are simply investing to squash this?
Actually, not miopic, but also not defending. I am a bit tired of accusations on any board without a basis of truth. An opinion is just that an opinion. People who follow opinions, or worship fearmonger's opines(AKA Mr. Andrew of good old Citron) and use false narrative to make a profit are not to be defended. Give me supported facts, and you just might get a great discussion.
