This one has certainly been a darling for that. Cheers.
Agreed. That’s pretty much what I? said, am in for the trade only.
Chances are there will be some consolidation before next leg but of course the bankruptcy could sway her either way.
$KMI softened an underwhelming Q3 earnings by announcing it will increase its dividend to $0.2 a quarter in Q1, $0.8 for 2018. Good news, you'd expect, but it didn't stop the stock falling further.
In my opinion, the current upside in Seadrill shares is purely technical, as bondholders' activity and the upside in oil prices served as catalysts for a breakout after a period of flat trading. Such breakouts are the reason why short-term traders (like myself in this case) continue to follow Seadrill although I’m happy to take some profit.
$SDRL shares are once again in action after a sleepy period that lasted for several weeks. In my opinion, the move is not fundamentally justified as recent news regarding Seadrill bankruptcy has not been reassuring although I? am playing the trade.
A lot of ways to play the infrastructure boom when / if it comes through.
Do you have a link or point me in right direction for what you suggested? Thanks.
Nice. Can be very good. Let me know if you have any good ideas.
$SBLK is not the cheapest option of all peers, but is definitely among the cheaper ones. SBLK currently trades at 0.93 P/NAV (with a $10.36 share price). You can buy into this firm at a discount to the value of the vessels in the current second-hand market.
Despite the fact that SBLK is not trading the cheapest of all peers, I? still think it could have an edge.
$SHIP For the quarter ended September 30, 2017, the Company generated net revenues of $18.9 million, a 119% increase compared to the third quarter of 2016. For the nine month period ended September 30, 2017, net revenues were equal to $50.5 million, up 112% compared to the same period of 2016. As of September 30, 2017, stockholders' equity was $41.4 million and cash and cash equivalents, including restricted cash, was $10.9 million.
$DRYS - ATHENS, GREECE -- (Marketwired) -- 11/06/17 -- DryShips Inc. (DRYS), or DryShips or the Company, a diversified owner of ocean going cargo vessels, announced today that, on November 5, 2017, its third Very Large Gas Carrier commenced its time charter on a fixed rate with ten years firm duration to an oil major trading company.
Thank you for clarification. Interesting story here.
The stock could drift quite a bit lower without some significant operational results. So it may not yet be at a buy point. Even though the stock has fallen quite a bit since coverage was initiated, it could still fall quite a bit more.
Any nibbles should be extremely small nibbles because this stock is still extremely risky. This management has quite a bit of work to do to convince the lenders and Mr. Market.
It may well be safer for the wallet to watch from the sidelines. This speculative stock is still quite dangerous. The stock at this point could be very rewarding. But it could also be very disappointing. I’ll post more as my opinion forms.
It’s been largely a trade for me but I? see this as a win if they can execute their business plan.
Thanks, was just pulling most recent description from last filing. I? realize things have progressed. Any DD is appreciated.
All good just looking into various ideas about markets. What have you been focusing on to make money lately?
Appreciate your comments and agree. I? think there is money to be made on the table in broader markets but recession is coming, a lot depends on policy in my opinion now as well.
Market certainly has shown where they stand and that’s why I? said it may be attractive again because there have been multiple swings so far. But only if they execute on the deal.
I? haven’t seen any approved major spending on infrastructure yet from public funds. I? have seen some private spending and new funds fired. I? think anticipation of a public bill. Deregulation and improved efficiency has already been initiated.
Anyone buying into next recession talk?

Optimism is evident in the sentiment surveys, which is normally a good time to start looking for the exits. But instead of pausing and waiting for calmer heads to prevail, many investors tend to give into fear and sell at the worst possible times, even exiting the markets.
Thank you, I will do some more DD on this one. Price looks attractive.

Nice trade action here. Still undetermined if I should hold longer term. What is your outlook?
So much value built into market already. Tax cuts already factored in?
Infrastructure bill has bi partisan but will it meet same health care bill delays further?

$ECOS any idea what might be the catalyst here?
Solid deal here. Eager to see how things progress year end. 2018 is a bullish cash for oil stocks in my opinion.
What else are you watching or invested in?
Been quite a while since your reply but thought I would check in. Seems things have progressed although very slowly. Market looking attractively priced again, but is deal progressing?
