Punctuation marks for grouping of sentences, clauses and phrases would have been nice also.
My thoughts exactly.

Only one problem; the 35% gain is only on what's left of the 75% loss.

Paper profit loss of 70k to being in the hole 24k+.
It seems that I have an insatiable hunger for greed. It invariably bites me on the ass.
I'm glad I didn't mention to my wife that we were up 70k . Explaining the reversal of fortune to her would be difficult at best.
Still holding 4.3m shares @1.84. I hope the ship doesn't go down.

You seem like a decent person; I enjoy your posts.
He is in the business. Without getting into semantic analysis, I can only assume that he was implying that it has the effect of a reverse split: reduces float and helps EPS.
I asked a knowledgeable person his thoughts on the conversion offer.
His reply: Yes it is a reverse split-usually that's done to boost share price but it also can be helpful in a naked shorting situation...in this case you would get voting rights plus the convesrsion dividend but you might not participate in any major upside..I cant see how many they have out but thery are clearly trying to reduce the float-now-and my guess is that even though they will be paying out a higher converted dividend they think its worth it for them on the eps side to reduce the float
In the event 800 million shares of common were tendered to the company under this program, a total of about 4.8 million shares of voting preferred stock would be issued, with a total value of about $48 million. At a 6% annual dividend rate, this would result in the distribution of about $2.88 million in dividends annually, or about $720 thousand per quarter --
except that they are now converting shares at .019 to .06 and then doing a 167 for 1 reverse split plus that dividend should now be converted to a hefty rate...they must think its worth it to have some voluntarily convert and be content with that deal as shareholders...remember its immediate demand for the shares that way that won't be sold in all probability..best guess on it
4 million at an average cost of .01838
I have been in pbls since 9/13/05 with an average cost of .0183. I'm feeling a lot better than I did in Mid November.

The Addition of WC "Doc" Starling, a Highly Credentialed Licensed Construction Contractor, and Clifton C. James, a Renowned Architect and City Planner, to the Construction Divisions Positions Phoenix for Growth in the Sector; Expected to Enhance Larger New Orleans and Gulf Region Project Opportunities
MADISONVILLE, LA--(MARKET WIRE)--Jan 4, 2007 -- Phoenix Associates Land Syndicate (Phoenix) (Other OTC:PBLS.PK - News) today announced WC "Doc" Starling, a licensed contractor, has joined Phoenix as a Director in the construction division and the brokering division; and Clifton C. James, a licensed architect and contractor, is now working in the architectural and planning section of the construction division.

WC "Doc" Starling is a highly experienced construction industry owner and operator that started his own construction company, Starling Construction Company, in 1976. With an ever widening of the range of projects taken on to grow his business, the name was changed to Starling Enterprises, Inc. around 1978. The company again went through a name change in 1996 to SEOLA (Starling Enterprises of Louisiana).
Doc Starling's company completed more than fifty million dollars in construction projects in a ten-year period. This work consisted of large land clearing, four lane highways, access roads, state route highways, dam rehabilitation, airport runway construction, rip rap of levees, levee construction, land reclamation and hydraulic dredging.
Doc Starling retired as President and CEO of Starling Enterprises in 1986, and has continued to remain active in the industry as a consultant to the company and to other organizations over the years. More recent clients of SEOLA Enterprises have included: Army Corps of Engineers -- Huntington, Mobile, New Orleans, Wilmington, and Vicksburg Districts; Department of the Navy; City of Atlanta; and the Environmental Protection Agency.
Clifton C. James is an architect and planner with an extensive background in project management, quality and aesthetic control, architectural design, urban and rural planning and real estate development. Prior to coming to Phoenix, Mr. James was Vice President of United Tech Consulting, Inc., a development company in Atlanta, GA. He was also President and CEO of The Urban Design Research Center, Inc. (URDC) in Louisiana and Georgia. UDRC is an interdisciplinary, university associated, community-based urban and rural design center, specializing in community revitalization and development.
Clifton James has expertise and skills that demonstrate a multi-disciplined, collaborative effort that brings together scientists, engineers, planners, economists, architects, and contractors for the purpose of transforming ideas into reality and providing needed services and facilities. During his earlier career, from about 1969 to 1980, his architectural design and construction administration services were almost entirely provided to public sector clients, such as HUD, HEW, DOT, the Department of Commerce, the City of New Orleans, and the State of Louisiana, with projects ranging from under a million to over five hundred million dollars.
Clifton James has an extensive formal education: Degree in Design from Fontainebleau School of Fine Arts in 1969; BA Degree in Architecture from Louisiana State University in 1968; Master's Degree in Architecture from Harvard University in 1969; Registered Architect in State of Louisiana in 1970; Certification in Computer Graphics from Harvard Graduate School of Design in 1978; Certification in Environmental Impact Analysis from Harvard Graduate School of Design in 1979; Certification in Environmental Design and Planning from MIT Laboratory of Architecture and Planning in 1980; and Certification in Master Planning from Harvard Graduate School of Design in 1999.

peorge, sounds as though you have accepted asus's comments as unquestionably true. Think back a short while when this investor's due diligence had him salivating over the prospects of this company. All of a sudden the enchantment passed, and he is questioning Paul's honesty, yet purportedly has and is buying more. Go figure !

Not to prejudge, but I found it interesting that ASUS was zealous in his affection for PBLS in this forum, and then spontaneously a shift in sentiment occurs, and the euphoria subsides. I'm still trying to figure that one out.
What I would like to see.
An announcement that through the stock repurchase plan, and the open market buy back of common stock an X number of shares have been retired from the float.

I wrote this to Schwab: are the 2,000,000 shares of PBLS.PK in account xxxx-xxxx available to a short seller to borrow for a short sale ?
Reply:
Dear Mr. XXXX:
Thank you for your email.
I located the PBLS shares in your retirement account ****XXXX. Shares of any security in a retirement account are never loaned for short selling.
If the shares were in the brokerage account, they would still not be loaned because of the share value. Generally, shares under $5.00 are not available for short selling. Shares in a margin account with no debit balance cannot be loaned for short selling purposes.
If you have additional questions, please feel free to reply to this email. We greatly appreciate your business.
Sincerely,
XXXXXXX
