Personally I am pretty happy with 20% growth in revenue per quarter.
Hey Goodbuddy4863, I am not trying to diss this board but I think as you already know you may get more up to date and (free) posting on the stock house board for Aphria.
There are lots of things happening now not the least of which are financials due out early the morning of Jan 11, 2017.
Both M partners and Clarus securities expect Aprhia to beat the street predictions of 5.1MM
I would like to post on both boards but unfortunately I have a job..LOL
Long on Aphria
I agree with you entirely, and one of these companies makes a true profit and the other makes a paper profit. Learn to read financial statements and they will tell you a lot.
Time will tell, one of these companies is truly profitable and the other is not
The company noted that its all-in cost to sell per gram decreased from $2.22 to $2.07, and its cash cost to produce per gram decreased from $1.67 to $1.15., a development management said demonstrates the company's “industry-leading low-cost-producer status”.Jul 12, 2016
Seriously,
How short of product can Canopy be if they are holding 16,000,000 in inventory and only sell
7,000,000 a quarter
As far as Aphrias figures no problem...sales $4,375,000 Expenses $2,994,317
You can see how that would generate a profit. My only point is that some companies are very
liberal with their stock valuations and some are being very conservative. You be the judge.
SERIOUSLY
Comparing Aphria with Canopy.
Lets start with look at Canopys financials Revenue $8,498,000
Expenses $9,710,000...Yet they made a profit...hmmm..how does that happen
Well a little thing called unrealized gain on sale of biologicals....$16,076,000.
On aphrias financials they value their unrealized gain at $500,000. So that means Canapys
is hanging onto 32 times the product as Aphria.
One of the these companies namely Aphria makes a true profit, the other Canopy makes a paper profit that really cannot be verified.
As far as cost of production Aprhis costs is $2.07 all in and $1.15 cash.
The future is in Aphria.
I am note sure I would assume that but what you can assume is that Aphria anticipates needing more product. Whether that be because of medicinal or recreational is anyones guess.
Sorry no, but one I do know is that we are one year ahead of schedule.
I am not sure if this was posted either but the 13 or so acres of greenhouses that were purchased last year from Diniro were supposed to be vacated by Diniro at the end of 2017.
They have made a deal with Diniro to vacate Jan 0f 2017 so they are moving up their timeline.
I dont think I said there would be 200 acres of greenhouses. That would be a 150-200mm investment.
The company would build greenhouses as they need them and as the market dictates. I dont believe you will ever see MJ grown outdoors In this area (Leamington)
Yes that is Vic and 50 cent but dont get excited. Its an old picture.
i dont think you will see an outdoor grow. I suspect the 200 acres is for more greenhouses once rec comes into effect.
Leamington may have a lot of sun but right now its -7C .
The Aphria folks are greenhouse folks and that is what will eventually be on the 200 acres.
hang onto your hats folks
Good news is around the corner and lots of it.
The next six months will be stellar for this company.
good article onaphria

Thank you very much Goodbuddy,
I am very long on this stock and probably invested a lot heavier than I should be but I view it as one of those once in a lifetime chances.
GLTA
Most EVERYONE that holds onto a stock that goes down wishes they sold it and conversely most everyone that sells a stock that goes up wishes they held onto it. This is normal human emotion.
Hopefully you did some DD before you jumped into this stock. Most people buy a stock for a reason. They believe it will increase in value. Hopefully you had some reason to believe that APH would increase in value. The question to ask yourself is did that reason change. Did the story change.
I bought APH because I believe
1)marijuana will be legalized in Canada
2)APh is the best run LP in Canada
3)APH produces the lowest cost product in Canada.
4)Aph will obtain a significant percentage of the Marijuana business not only in Canada but
globally
To me reason 2, 3, and 4 are no longer beliefs but are facts.
If reason one does not come true than the story changed and I will reassess my position.
Until then I am long.
Yes this stock will go up and down based sometimes on meaningful news and sometimes just because thats whats happens. None of this concerns me. I dont care if Shoppers sells the product or the LCBO sells the product or Macs Milk sells the product. I only care that someone sells the product.
So until April when I see legislation being drafted I do not panic and I do not sell.
What could make me sell right now:
1)change in top management at Aphria
2)Justin Trudeau suddenly deciding he is not going to legalize marijuana
3)my target price of $24.50 a share being hit.
Outside of that, nothing. So if you didnt sell at $7.00 who cares, you will bre able to sell it next year at that price or better, and one other thing, if these kind of stock movements bother you I would
recommend your next investment be a G.I.C
Cheers
