How much you wanna bet?
The price movement is very disappointing. Let's be honest.
Rick, I'll believe it when I see it. I've been disappointed too many times before. AND, the price action now seems to me to indicate a disappointment may be right around the corner.
We will see $70 a share when Miami is covered in ocean water due to climate change.
Sogo, Yes.If the government feels they have to settle all of the cases before obtaining more capital they can't have a few holdouts. The cards are strong in the plaintiff's hands. But I don't think you can get them all to agree, as various plaintiffs have differing claims and demands in their individual lawsuits.
Yes, Gaby is very bright and well-spoken.
Dude, stop. You've been loading up a hundred times since you've been posting.
Jog +++
exactly.
pumper stank.
Rick, I was exaggerating and surprised you didn't pick up on the sarcasm. Do you want to wait another 7 years for a release??
Ignore any wording that precedes (legislative) because that's not happening. To me, what they are saying is we want the legislative branch to pass laws for A, B, and C, and until they do we are going to enact A, B, and C administratively. It's hard to see how Treasury can take a sweep payment from this point forward after putting out this 53 page rehash. But, I'm never shocked with this government's actions anymore. I think the NWS ends now (although they are not saying it quite yet, and it's 1) build capital from retained earnings to meet capital standards (we'll all be dead), and/or 2) a public and or private stock offering. They will go with #1 first, and after the 2020 election it will be both. We're headed for dilution, but I'd rather it be done now rather than wait another 11 years for my shares to be worth anything....
It's called "leaking", and in case you've been living under a rock it is as common in DC as the sun coming up in the morning.
Yank, How can #3 come to pass when they would be trying to build capital? There was never a requirement that dividends have to be paid to JPS. As to #4, getting all lawsuits settled as an "all or nothing" is next to impossible.
Enough already...
6 months means 18 months in Washington speak.
Not really. The continuances were almost in every case, if not every case, agreed to by the plaintiffs as well.
Sure..
Yank, please don't do that. You are one of the few I read.
Come on Chess. If I've got a $500,000 house to sell, at 6% I've got to pay the realtors $30,000. I realtors license is very easy to get. Pass an easy test. It's not like getting a law degree and passing the bar exam, a medical license, or a CPA. What are realtors worth? Say $150 an hour although that's a stretch. Show me the realtors that put in 200 hours matching a buyer with a seller....
A recent class action suit was filed in Chicago against the NAR and some national realty companies by two top law firms claiming, basically and in layman's terms, that the whole system is crap and is rigged.
It's "verdict", not "verdic"....It's really tough to predic what they do.
A settlement does not require an admission of guilt. In fact, standard releases specifically state that the settlement is not an admission of liability.
Yank, I'm not following your reasoning here. The Complaint only speaks to the class being those who owned stock prior to the Conservatorship. Why would it extend to those who bought afterward when it doesn't seem to be pleaded in the Complaint. What am I missing?
Latergater, He won't. He can't. He needs to see his handle.
Man, you guys try to find something, and read into something, important/positive over big nothings. Blah!
No he didn't say the quote below...
"This is not a theory anymore, Mnuchin admitted that the NWS was all about funding Obamacrud."
kthomp, why don't you put the beginning of your response in your "subject" rather than a quote from someone else? It's annoying....
Dabeav, that is the bad news, for God's sake. Wally
Yo Yo, every time I see your handle, I think of the Seinfeld episode.
I believe it was Judge Jones (could be wrong), as there was reference to her near the end of the session--and she appeared to be our best friend.
He's in an alternate universe...
Not a chance.
Is that a recco?
Agree. An invitation to insider trading, it seems to me. But I'm not complaining....
George Will has become an angry old man. He is an old guard Republican who is pissed off about everything Trump. His writings now make a point to put in words that 99% of people have never heard. He thinks it demonstrates his superiority.
The Legislative Branch has ceded lawmaking om big issues to the Supreme Court. That way they don't have to piss off half of their constituency. The American voter hates DC legislators--except their own guy or girl, of course. When the next election comes they usually get reelected. Wash, rinse, repeat.
Answer: He's a Democrat.
Amen....nfm
No. I'm not. I was taking my comment from a CNN article, which is admittedly a dangerous thing....
