Well of course that's obvious. That is not the case however with the patent for 18-MC, which has the potential to be worth many billions of dollars.
Absolute truth. In fact how can one even determine the potential value of 18-MC to a large manufacturer like Pfizer who would likely license the rights to a CURE FOR ADDICTION?
Exactly. And the idea that a patent has no value is sheer lunacy. lol
Brave truly rocks!
The patent for 18-MC has extraordinary value. In the multiple billions. I have a degree in exactly this sort thing and have known about the anti addictive properties of Ibogaine for decades. Being a natural compound, Ibogaine cannot be patented, but it's synthetic analog, 18-MC sure as hell can. This is not a new discovery regarding Ibogaine, but drug laws and bias against psychedelics have prevented the saving of millions of lives and billions of dollars in medical care. 18-MC is, as they say, an "antibiotic" for addiction, and Mindmed holds the property rights to it.
Because the patent holder has exclusionary rights to the intellectual property and those rights, like any property rights can be sold to the highest bidder. Even dormant patents often hold extraordinary value. Now in the case of 18-MC, the projected value is nearly incalculable. A CURE for addiction and alcoholism? Name your price.
I can make no sense of your post. Please clarify how patents have no value.
Most excellent! Thank you for sharing
Astonishing run and its just starting!

Excellent article on 18 MC. Thanks for sharing
Business I believe
It's entirely possible that BAT may in some fashion be incorporated with an existing payment system as part of the Brave browser.
Right now the Brave Browser consists of:
Privacy and malware blocking browser
BAT wallet
Brave ads for advertisers
Compensation to users for enabling ads
Tailcat privacy search engine coming soon
So it only makes sense that some form of online payment system may be incorporated into the growing list of functions offered by Brave.
You're not answering my question. Please clarify what YQU means. Is it a symbol for another stock? Code for something unrelated to MMEDF?
Please explain this YQU symbol you keep mentioning. What does it mean? Code for something? Please be so kind as to use standard English.
I have it on good authority that a very big player in the payment industry is looking closely at BAT and the Brave browser and search engine system. How big? Very big.
Who or what is YQU?
Who is YQU?
$10 target on current trajectory. If Brave gives Google a run for their money though... $50 or higher
Awesome! Link? I don't use Google. lol
Quite likely true! Bad thing about ergot poisoning though is the vasoconstriction leading sometimes to gangrene and fingers falling off. lol
That's one problem with LSD even is the much milder vasoconstriction. I have glaucoma so no way can I handle any vasocontrictive medication. Even caffeine giives me problems. Modafinil however...
Three words: Cure For Addiction. Place your own value on it.
Do you have any clue what 18-MC is or what it offers or what its potential value is? Forget all the other positive research the company is doing with psychedelics. That's all good but not a revolutionary game changer.
18-MC is a CURE... that's right it's a f'ing CURE for addiction. This miraculous effect is not disputed science. It's been well documented for over 30 years as the natural alkaloid known as Ibogaine, from which 18-MC is derived. MindMed owns exclusive rights to 18-MC and all the intellectual property associated with it.
As an experienced trader and investor, with a degree in ethnobotany who has written hundreds of articles on natural medicines, I CAN see the value in this product and the company that owns it lock stock and barrel.
So, apparently, can Kevin O'Leary, who looked at all the potential psychedelic research pharma companies out there andchose MindMed for this very reason.
Call me crazy but I think I'll accumulate all I can, while I can for a potential 100X gain or better.
Fascinating. Kinda makes sense now in regards to "potency". My personal view is that mushroons have a "personality" to them as they are living organisms that use psilocybin as a neurotransmitter, as opposed to an entirely novel synthetic chemical. I know this gets into woo woo land but how can it not? Reductionism only goes so far in this territory.
How can this new compound be both MORE potent than DMT but LESS potent than psilocybin? That makes no sense as DMT is far more potent than psilocybin.
Well dang I'll have to buy more now lol
Huge beyond huge! Thanks for sharing!
A surprisingly thorough Wikipedia entry. Thanks for sharing
I did not know it had been commercialized at one time. In Dr Schultes book on Hallucinogenic Plants he talks about it being a useful stimulant at lower dosages and popular with the French colonists in Africa.
... "whose leadership team of top researchers and drug developers will also join the company".
Now that's what I like to hear!
I hear ya. If my chances are 20% I'll take my chances elsewhere. From what I gather they have to put you under to get that tube down your trachea. Horrific to think about.
Sad thing is that a simple hyperbaric chamber will do the same thing but with no trauma. They don't use the hyperbaric chambers because they would have to decontaminate them after each covid patient. Otherwise the patients with diabetic ulcers wouldnt be able to get their hyperbaric treatment for fear of catching the bug. Helluva system we got here!
Now that makes sense. With hospitals being incentivized to label every death possible a Covid death, it would traumatize anyone in the ICU! I have a friend who's a doctor at a local hospital and he says the survival rate after intubation is only 20%. It's a chamber of horrors I tell you... so yes I can see PTSD being a real problem among survivors.
Good lord where do they come up with this stuff? I had Covid as have many people I know and nobody had any real problem with it other than feeling like you have a bad chest cold and no sense of smell for a couple of weeks. Now anyone unfortunate enough to go to the hospital might suffer PTSD from those money hungry ghouls trying to put a tube down your throat, but the other 99% shouldn't have a problem.
BAT will be the native token for fees on the coming Brave DEX. This HUUUUGE!
Very true, and that's exactly what they are doing. I was using the term "set aside" in relation to personal assessment of the potential value of MindMed. The LSD trials for treating depression and anxiety are quite valuable and important, but pale in comparison to a true cure for addiction.
Silver true price is the physical price. Canadian Maples are at $35 per ounce. US Buffalos at about $32 per ounce. https://www.jmbullion.com/2021-1-oz-canadian-silver-maple-leaf-coin/
The SLV price always trails the "spot" price by a dollar or two and currently there is a growing disconnect between the physical price and the spot price. An immutable law of nature is that this discrepancy will correct itself. Refiners will in no way be able to take delivery of industrial silver at a spot price below the physical acquisition price, nor will producers sell at a spot price below the true physical market price.
Not investment advice... but you may want to buy physical silver
For the moment, set aside the LSD trials and focus on 18-MC. This is where the BIG money is. My degree is in botany and chemistry of plants and 30 years ago I studied Schultes work on Tabernanthe ibogo, the plant from which ibogaine is extracted. Even back then it was noted how users of the crude extract of Iboga experienced a very high degree of addiction cure. Unfortunately, the Iboga experience is a grueling 36 hour long trip. So what MindMed chemists have accomplished with 18-MC is a non-hallucinogenic version of the ibogaine alkaloid that still retain the anti-addiction property. This huge beyond huge. This one drug could be valued at multiples of $10 billion dollars. 18-MC is touted as the "antibiotic for addiction". Let that sink in. Now Kevin O'Leary let it sink in and out of all the osych companies out there, he chose MindMed. He has a history of choosing wisely and of not losing his money.
If you have the time, find a copy of The Botany and Chemistry of Hallucinogenic Plants by Dr Richard Evans Scvhultes and read the chapter on Ibogaine.
This is HUGE
