Agree ! When is your planned visit to SM ? Hope you can relay how yuor visit went. Thanks
Qd Explosion ,nice article on electroluminescent QD tech and the future it holds.Lighting sure to be a major market for qd.
The partners names are more than credible as well as their associations with large chinese companies and obviously with government funding sources. When was the last time a government gave you $430 million dollars to manage ? Very desperate post to even try and disparage the partners at this point.

"We applaud both the Chinese Government Guidance Fund and GTG for bringing forward this timely investment to secure the land and resources required to build out both application development and quantum dot production facilities,”
What is the biggest area of advancement in the quantum dots market?
http://www.photonicconference.com/quantum-dots/news/exclusive-insights-on-quantum-dots
"Dr. Murphy: An on-chip, reliable QD containing package would result in much faster penetration into display and lighting markets. Personally, I’d also love to see QDs overcome the challenges that Art Nozik covered in his QD Forum talk of 2016 to be used as revolutionary next generation solar materials."
Cadmium Telerude is quantum dots ? What I was suggesting was that no one has a commercial quantum dot solar panel on the market yet.Good example of what could happen to the SP if just with one sector (nevermind displays, lighting, batteries, bio ) gets hot.
It's interesting after reading that article that Mr.Squires wrote that no one has yet cracked the qdot solar market ? Much like cad free qdots it must be harder than we think to produce a highly efficient solar cell.It would be massive if that is what their chinese partners intend you exploit next.It stated they had already backed solar projects in the recent PR.
Thanks P19 for the honest insight. It's something some here could learn from.
I thought he retired ? Do you have insider info he was let go ?
Assistance in doing what ?
Because this is like every other penny stock ,right ? Ones where billionaires want tone partner with them.
How are we going you get any of the Chinese market when Nanosys and Nanoco already have it all locked up? ;)
It's where we hold all the insider parties.
Obviously the votes where there or the board would have fought it.Stotts stated there was a "proxy war" so I will take that as a fact as it came from an insider.
I don't know where the term "hostile takeover "comes in.Is that a fact ? If so ,who were the invading forces.
"we have a business plan that may take 8-10 years. It's designed to break into a market that is up and coming and could show great returns"
Exactly what Gates and Jobs told their first shareholders right ?
Didn't he say he hasn't sold a share since 2012 ? I'll defer to an industry expert anytime about Quantum than board speculators. From what I've been told he was a beneficial member to Quantum during his tenure. Thanks to those who have PM'd me so I knew what to expect when I began posting here.Their characterization has been pretty spot on.Common goal I thought is for Quantum to succeed and we all walk away "Rich".Seems some really don't want that to happen.
But how do we know Kisco isn't in on the pump as well as the Chinese ;)
Let's add
5.Quantum doesn't have mass production or IP for it
6.All our peers sell mass quantities of cad free dots
7.The chinese aren't real.Totally fake ! As Trump would say.
8.San Marcos is not real.Fake as well
9.We have not worked or are working with Nitto Denko or Kisco
10.Quantum did not show a film a CES
11.The US did not land on the moon
12.Atlantis did exist
13.Aliens exist ( not all the ones pouring over the border )
"The only ones that can verify quality are the consumers and currently they aren't buying our dots. That's present not past"
And you know this how ?
Which consumers?
Only Samsung has a cad free film in a commercial product.
So I guess all other providers of Cad free with the exemption of Hansol are currently in Quantums same position then according to your comments.
Thanks for agreeing with my statement.
I live in the present ,not the past so am focused on current events for Quantum.I see a business forming alongside an emerging market. It's funny how knowone wants to respond about 3 of our 4 peers doing next to no bulk cadmium free sales yet. It's hard to make cad free near cad levels nevermind mass producing it.We have seen a film recently and now update on the Chinese partners, their credentials and business plan to build TWO facilities in China. If that isn't progress then some people are obviously oblivious.Next step is commercial sales and supply contracts.I patiently wait as this is the logical next order of business.Whining about the daily SP has no effect on the business plan, the SP will increase as revenues and contracts are announced.EOS.
Mr.Squires was CEO of QMC Asia and I would say that it was his efforts that led to the deal with the Chinese and not the board.I thought he left to as CEO of QMC NA to concentrate on China ? Do you have direct information that they ( the board ) were key in his abilities to get the deal done ?
If it is my duties to go out and get contracts and I sign up a number of companies is it my boss who sent me out who gets the credit ?Not trying to be a a $$ but the whining here is the only thing that's consistent.I've been invited to post elsewhere and maybe it's time.
"Especially when every Friday we get bad news"
Huh ? This statement is exactly like the reasons you gave for people to pause and question Quantum as an investment. It's a false statement like the ones made by the ones who ran the 15 year old USGN rant.
"The more one sided posts I read the more questionable I get lately. "
Does that work both ways ?
I think the last post by TBC is exactly my thoughts. The chinese connection was thought to be BS by some until the release proving otherwise.I have some chinese contacts who will provide their thoughts when back from Chinese New Year and I'm looking forward to that.I envy that your able to visit the facilities and would say no one here can give you the answers you will get there.I am sure you will decide after visiting where your confidence level lies.Good luck with your visit !
Well ,asking here will only get you posters take on how they see their investment. If any one here should be taken seriously its a guy who worked for the company and has knowledge of it and the industry.Asking hard questions of anyone who doesn't have the direct answers is folly at best. You still haven't answered my question as to why 3 out of 4 peers are struggling to supply cad free product to the market ?
So why hold the stock if your so pessimistic ? If I could see the water from desert I would crawl the last few miles to drink. If you can't see that QDV failed ,Nanoco is struggling and Nanosys is trying to switch from cad to cad free and only Samsung is successful then I would say having 3 out of 4 peers not there yet either or failed is an indication of why Quantum is taking as long. One company doesn't make a market!
When entering a brand new market with a new technology these things occur as you try and build out your business.Your other choice is Nanoco where some investors are now calling for a new CEO to helm them because of " missed " timelines.Ask yourself why a peer with 10x more funding,DOW as a partner are missing the mark ? That should answer your questions about delays in getting a product to market. The switch to non cadmium was a major event that has delayed this market from taking off.Now that the direction for cad free has been set and a product has been developed to meet the demand the next step is contracts and supply.
Pergaos what they see is risk vs reward. That is what I see.Intel, Apple, Netflix, Amazon etc weren't guranteed plays in their early days either. They were in the their market before it became mainstream.QD market is not yet mainstream , time for Quantum to still establish a position. It looks as though they are in China with big partners with deep pockets backing them.I suspect they are not helping "pump" Quantum as some suggested.
Penny stock = risk vs reward
Like I said,I am pretty sure there is no one with experience in the QD industry on this board except P19.I would rely on his expertise over speculative posts anytime.
Thanks P19 that is my sentiment as well.Number one reason for investing is their mass production IP.Nice having some one with some direct experience in the field of quantym dots posting here.I'm sure there are not any others working in this field posting here ?
I doubt they would be paying for their Cadmium IP.Interesting patent on "batch" production in the link you posted.
Hopefully any answers shareholders seek are satisfied at the shareholders meeting. For now it's how each person interprets the news and it seems those interpretations are varied.I've read many posts that QMC Asia was BS and now when we get the news verifying the partners and their background they are on to a new subject.I've reached out to a business associate who is connected to billionaires in China to get more feedback about the partners. His initial response was that these are big players to have received 430 million in government funds.Dr.Nobel mention was another interesting tidbit that got me to do some research on how he fits in to this.Still working on that at the moment and will update.
As I stated before for me it's about where Quantum is in relationship to the market. The door is just opening in my opinion and my initial number one reason to consider Quantum over Nanoco as an investment was their process. My reading lead me to the fact that batch will never lead to true mass production and that Quantum has the Royal Flush in their hands.See it how you will as these are my observations and not I am not asking you or anyone else to agree or disagree.
Mr.Squires as a major shareholder is on the same road we are.The shareholders spoke up and now some are upset that action was taken to protect our investment.Go figure.I had been in a mining investment where it went the other way and was left with nothing and the key principals found a way to end up owning the property with another company they controlled for pennies on the dollars.Careful what you wish for.I am still in the strong belief the company will create wealth for all of us through organic growth.Investing is about putting the time in,some of Quantums competitors have been at this twice as long and still have little in the way of cad free sales.
Try contacting the company then with your questions if you are unable to attend.I have a number I am preparing to ask myself.
Attend the shareholders meeting and ask the questions there. No one on this board is running the company or has the answers you are seeking. All you will get here are people's thoughts based on how they interpret the news or how they want to frame it.It's interesting that everyone who recently departed wanted to hang onto their stock options though ;)
Good questions for the shareholders meeting. Will you be attending ?
Thanks you beat me to pulling that up.Its a mystery how some people only want to see certain aspects of the release.
