Thanks for the update Dewmboom.
People need some patience around here nickelandime.
They file late all the time but they do file.
I thought you were selling for a tax write off. It sounds like you're holding to see what develops.
By the way, we'd like you to remove the sticky because the R/S has already happened so the sticky is no longer relevant and could be misleading to new people who come to the board.
Thanks.
David Micek has been at Momentous for one year. He was hired specifically to build-out Poolworks. Now I wonder what he's been up to all this time...could it possibly be...BUILDING OUT POOLWORKS!!! My guess is that's what he's been up to.
Can't wait to see what he's created for the new platforms! :)

Old news Gas. The new news is the VZ networks relauch is coming, with a brand new platform, new mobile platform, new logos with new names and which also includes Blockchain.
Also, MeinVZ and StudiVZ are already compliant with German rules and regulations because they are in Germany and subject to German data protection regulations. Most likely all compliance is already done, as these issues have been in the news for a very long time, and David Micek was hired just over a year ago to manage and run Poolworks. Since the new platform was nearly completed back in September according to the VZ staff, I suspect everything is pretty much ready to go.

Remember David Micek? Here's a reminder. David was hired to build-out Poolworks, as you might remember. He still works for Momentous.
"David will manage and head our Poolworks company and will also manage Momentous' streaming content division. Mr. Micek is a recognized leader with a strong track record of company "build & grow" skills and successes who drives rapid growth through innovative approaches to entering new markets and expanding revenues.
Momentous CEO, Kurt Neubauer, stated, "We are very excited that David has joined Momentous and look forward to him building out the new Poolworks acquisition along with leading our streaming media division. David has already identitied streaming service targets and exciting potential content he would like to get started on straight away as he prepares to take on the task of building out our Poolworks venture." Mr. Neubauer also noted, "David's extensive business management skills, product knowledge and technology experience make him the perfect addition to the Momentous management team.

Furthermore, the VZ networks are not in deep, hot, doo doo with the EU and the world for an enormous data breach scandal--Facebook is.
Hmmmm....David Micek is still at Momentous. Can't imagine what he's been doing for the past year... LOL...remember why he was hired. As you also know, the platforms were already nearly done back in September. Now why would David Micek still be at Momentous.
Get ready for the relauch!

You're welcome and Happy Easter to you, Digger, and the MMEG longs.

The new law
"The General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO) of the European Union enters into force on 25 May 2018. There is the article 20 on data portability. It states that everyone has the right to "get their data in a structured, common and machine-readable format" and "to transmit it to another without hindrance". This not only applies to social networks, but also to data processors such as e-mail and messenger services, photo platforms or car insurance.
The new EU regulation is not just about data protection, it's about competition. With its up to two billion users worldwide Facebook has today a monopolistic position, competitors have hardly any chance in the market. The right to change could change that."

Bye Facebook?

Millions of data were illegally used in the world's largest social network. Many users are now considering deleting or switching profiles. How does it work? A new law facilitates the change
Berlin. 50 million user accounts or more - as many personal records on the social network Facebook, the British-American company Cambridge Analytica is said to have evaluated without the consent of customers to support the election of Donald Trump to the US president and the anti-EU campaign in the UK , Federal Minister of Justice Katarina Barley has therefore appointed Facebook managers to the Ministry. Company boss Mark Zuckerberg apologized on Wednesday. But there have been numerous calls to users on the Net to delete Facebook - including Brian Acton, who co-founded WhatsApp. A new law could make it easier for users to turn their backs on Facebook.
The rights of users
From May, all users of social networks have the right to easily switch their profiles to other providers - as the current or telephone contract is already possible.
For companies like Facebook, this presents a challenge. So far, users can deactivate and delete their accounts. But then, from her point of view, everything is lost - all party photos, encouraging comments from friends, information about the new TV series, contacts with colleagues and family. That's why many users stayed on Facebook - even if they criticized the practices of the Californian company.
However, this will change in a few weeks: "Then so-called data processors have to provide their customers with the personal data at their request and enable them to switch to other providers," says Christine Steffen, a lawyer from the Consumer Council of North Rhine-Westphalia.
The new law
The General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO) of the European Union enters into force on 25 May 2018.
The right to change could change that.
Switch the network
If they want to change, users can demand that from Facebook in the future. There should be an easy-to-find command in each profile. For example, the personal e-mail address and password will be sufficient for the identification as the owner of the profile. Such details are not yet clear, says VZ employee Steffen. "They are not in the regulation and will only show themselves in practice." Facebook is currently unwilling to provide any information.
In the next step, the social network has to provide the willing users with all data that they have provided to the processor, "says Dirk Hensel, the spokesman of the Federal Data Protection Commissioner Andrea Voßhoff. There will be debates about which these are exactly. It seems clear that everyone must receive the data that he or she has entered - for example, all the information in the so-called timeline (the Facebook biography), all their own news, photos, comments and likes. Whether the answers of the friends belong, is questionable. This will clarify later in dealing with the regulation, says VZ lawyer Steffen.
Facebook is committed to packaging and transporting the data so that other vendors can incorporate it into their systems. For the users it is important: "The ported data are not automatically deleted by the data processor as a result of the porting", as Hensel explains. The profile transmitted to the competition thus continues to exist on Facebook. Because there are people who want to be active in several networks at the same time.
Delete the profile
On the other hand, if you want to make a clearer cut, you can quit your profile with the command in the account settings. It is no longer visible to others, but all data, posts and chat remain on the Facebook servers. If you want to completely end your Facebook presence, look in the help function for "delete account" and then click in the displayed text on "... share it with us". Until all data is deleted, according to Facebook can take up to 90 days. Some data remains, such as chat messages.
What Facebook knows about me
Users can view which personal data Facebook has collected. In Settings, below the general account settings, there is an inconspicuous link called "Download a copy of your Facebook data." If you click on it, you will be redirected to a new page where the compilation of the personal Facebook archive can be initiated. After entering the password, a download link will arrive in the inbox of the e-mail address stored on Facebook a few minutes later.
In the personal archive, you can see all the information provided to Facebook, but also all chats with friends and acquaintances, events and preferences. The interests collected for advertising purposes are also listed. The files in the downloaded archive can be viewed with any browser (such as Chrome, Edge or Firefox).

Acquiring Seed of Lux Is A Game Changer for Ignis Studios
February 5, 2018
Ignis Studios, the game development boutique behind the popular Hoplite Hero for iOS and Android, is getting ready to throw down with the big boys. The company has acquired Seed of Lux, a survival MMORPG (massive multiplayer online role playing game) set in the mythical world of Noch. Ignis Studios has recruited game designing experts from World of Warcraft, Starcraft, and Diablo to perfect the game for release on PC, Mac, XBox, and Playstation. The theme of the game is simple and succinct – survive the night.
In the world of Noch, you take control of “Lux”, a strange entity composed of pure energy. To roam the world of Noch, your Lux will choose an avatar. Each avatar is a human (or humanlike) individual with unique abilities. For example, Issac the watchmaker can rewind time and Haze the stormchaser has increased strength in the rain. But the goal is the same for each character – survive, collect loot, say safe in the dark, and most importantly, figure out why you exist in the first place.
Many dangers await in Noch, but also power and wealth to build up your character. Players earn experience points called ‘Lumen’ for upgrading abilities and loot like wood, stone, and metal for building weapons and upgrading your bases. You can battle other players, monsters, and even some ferocious boss creatures in dungeons. And beware the night – visibility decreases and monsters become stronger and bolder.
Attributes
Each characters’ well-being is based on three attributes:
Health – fairly self-explanatory here, if you take too much damage, your health goes to zero and your characters dies (only to reawaken back at your camp). However, your acquired goodies remain where you last stood.
Hunger – when characters get too hungry, they lose strength and speed. Too much action without replenishment can lead to starvation and your character will deal less damage, take more damage, and all combat actions will be sluggish
Fear – fear relates to how your character is perceived by other Lux’s. Killing other player characters puts a dark mark on your avatar and the reward for killing you increases. It also makes your loot and XP easier to steal off your corpse.
Players form bunkers called Gizmos that act as base camps. The Gizmo is your base of operations, where you can harvest materials, hire non-playable characters to your army, and build defenses for your territory. The Gizmo is where you can cash in Lumen for new abilities or put your Lux in a different avatar. It’s these MMO features combined with survivalist scenarios what make Seed of Lux unlike anything that came before it.
Seed of Lux has the potential to bring Ignis Studios to the forefront of game development. Beta testing and development for consoles is underway for this project and pre-ordering will be available soon, but it sure looks like Ignis Studios as a winner on its hands. By combining the best features of online strategy and survival games, the company has a unique entry sure to please fans of both genres.

Ranking Ignis Studios Four Upcoming RPGs By Excitement Factor
February 28, 2018
Ignis Studios has been a busy little boutique in the last 12 months. In addition to releasing Hoplite Hero, an addictive Match Three game available for iOS and Android, they have four different strategy RPGs on the way each with unique universes and storylines. In one world, zombies have overrun the earth. In another, you control an entity made of pure energy. RPGs have been making a comeback on mobile phones and these games only add to the excitement.
Strategy RPGs are also known as tactical RPGs because they incorporate wartime scenarios into traditional role-playing situations. You’ll have your usual 3-4 person battle party participating in turn-based combat, but you’ll also command an entire legion of troops on isometric battlefields. You’ll still gain experience and level-up your characters and there’s a mountain of extra content to uncover. Here’s the excitement level for each game, ranked:
4) Crime Rivals
Build your criminal empire by any means necessary in this top-down strategy RPG. In top-down RPGs, players view the action from above instead of the usual first-person perspective. It’s like controlling your character with a drone. In Crime Rivals, you’re a budding “entrepreneur” looking to establish yourself in a new city. And in this town, anything you see is yours for the taking. But remember, you aren’t the only one controlling an underground organization. If you liked Grand Theft Auto, you’ll love Crime Rivals. So why is it fourth? Check out the unique characters you control in the next three games.
3) Mercenary Squad
Here’s another chance to build an empire, only this time your influence can extend past any city limit or country border. Mercenary Squad is a strategy RPG where you lead your very own mercenary force in a quest for recognition and control. Similar to the later editions of the Metal Gear Solid series, you’ll build your soldier-of-fortune team from the ground up. Gain money and experience by going on missions of varying difficulty and complexity. Upgrade your weapons, train your troops, and take control of the gun-for-hire market. The ability to freelance and undertake a variety of missions makes this an anticipated title.
2) Die Zombie Nation
The Walking Dead meets mobile gaming in this strategy RPG taking place in a world ravaged by a zombie apocalypse. Different bands of survivors fight for control of the nation while the undead roam looking for food (that’s you!). Play alone or with friends to combine forces and take over what’s left of the world. You’ll have to fortify your territory not only against the infected hoard but from rival survivors looking to squeeze in on your land.
1) Seed of Lux
The most anticipated game from Ignis Studios is also the largest and most otherworldly. Seed of Lux is a massive multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) where players control characters composed of pure energy called ‘Lux’. As a Lux, you’ll choose a mortal avatar to roam the world of Noch seeking answers to the puzzle of your existence. Like Starcraft, you’ll build a base of operations (called a Gizmo) and gather resources for expansion. Explore dungeons, pilot battle mounts, and train your Lux to be the most powerful in the land!

Hoplite Hero Heating Up with 300 Five-Star Ratings on iOS and Android
March 2, 2018
Hoplite Hero, the “most mythical” match three puzzle game from Ignis Studios, recently notched its 239th five-star rating on the Apple App Store. Combined with another 71 on the Google Play store, this debut offering from the boutique indie studio has anticipation rising for the next big thing. The indie game development company is preparing for a monster 2018 with four new offerings in the making, but the the mobile game space has already gotten a taste with Hoplite Hero, a game that’s as challenging as it is addictive. Adding another 71 five-star reviews from the Google Play stores brings the total to 300 for this growing puzzle giant.
In this universe (if you can call it a universe), take control of mythical beasts and blast your way through over 100 levels. The average level is set up is a familiar one to veterans of match three games. Using your finger, draw lines connecting creatures of the same color to blow them off the board. You must connect at least three creatures, but there’s no limit to the chain – link as many like-colored creatures as you can in each turn.
Each level has a different shaped board – some are small, some fill the whole screen, and some have multiple columns or rows. The goals for each level vary depending on how well you’ve performed. In some levels, you’ll have set number of tries and must clear the board within 15 or so moves. In other levels, you’ll have a two minute timer and must achieve a certain number of points within that time to advance. And in more levels, you must collect tokens placed within the board by blowing away the creatures surrounding them. The combinations are endless and according to the reviews, so is the fun.
Here’s a sample of reviews from the Apple App Store:
Lherault – Dec 17, 2017
“I have truly enjoyed this challenging game up til level 16
I have been on this level for over a week playing daily and several times during the day.
I am a handicap person so my iPad and games help my day”
Nanari18 – Dec 3, 2017
“I have had this game for about 1 weeks and never had any problem up. So I love this game so far. This is so different from other games that i can’t explain. Thank you for making an app like this.”
Nickname107 – Nov 22, 2017
“This game is different than the rest. The aspect of the game that you can connect diagonally puts a whole new twist on the strategies you can use to reach the new objectives each round challenges you with. It’s a fun game and it’s definitely worth the download!!”
Hoplite Hero is available now for iOS and Android and has been updated recently to fix minor bugs and add additional content. Loading time has improved, levels are more plentiful than ever, and in the newest addition, you’ll get to take on the “sinister seven-headed puzzle pygmy marmoset”. Its name already sounds scary!

Poolworks relaunch coming fall 2018 with Blockchain, gastric! Get ready!
Facebook costs nerves and privacy: We check whether StudiVZ is a real alternative
27.03.2018 09:22 | BY THOMAS MOSSBURGER
"However, according to CHIP information, StudiVZ is planning a major relaunch in 2018, including new technologies such as Blockchain."
This is what the paid WhatsApp looks like:
Fake news annoyance, ubiquitous hate speech and indignation and data holes are causing more and more problems for Facebook. Users want to turn their back on the network. But are there alternatives? We looked at an old acquaintance: StudiVZ.
Just over ten years after many users of StudiVZ and other German networks switched to the US top dog, Facebook now has big problems: Hetzer and populists spread fake news, data are unsolicited tapped and used for political influence, many users are annoyed by the constant self-expression and Clickbait articles.
Reason enough for us at CHIP to check it out: Why do not we all simply switch back to Studi or MeinVZ?
The advantages:
Less self-expression, as there are no like or share buttons.
Newsfeed only with photos, texts and links without preview headlines and images: Clickbait and Fake News have a harder time because users need to click on the links and not just read headlines. The usual "I've read on Facebook" is not possible.
Postings are only shown to friends and disappear again. Hate, fakes and bullshit can hardly go viral.
The basic functions such as sharing photos, sending messages and inviting events are easily possible.
The groups provide opportunities for exchange among like-minded people. The funny group names in each user profile provide a nice alternative to sharing and tagging on memes.
Tidy profile pages with funny profile queries that the user has under his own control.
The servers of the VZ networks are located in Germany and are therefore subject to German data protection regulations.
Many users from earlier are still logged in and only need to update their profiles. Around 150,000 people currently use the VZ networks per month, as the company told CHIP.
The disadvantages:
No mobile offer. There is neither an app nor a mobile optimized website. However, according to CHIP information, StudiVZ is planning a major relaunch in 2018, including new technologies such as Blockchain.
International friends from semester abroad or holidays you will not find in this German network.
The conclusion:
Until the announced big relaunch with a convincing app, the networks will have a hard time. On the other hand, the VZ networks are currently with their fresh technology actually better Facebook - without data gathering anger, indignation and hounding in postings and comments, overheated media reports and other links, but with groups and everything you really need from a network: share photos and Send birthday invitations. And that with servers in Germany. More benefits, less nerves. Whether a comeback succeeds must show the autumn of 2018.
You can find more information about this topic in the video above.
