According to THIS page, there are 10 million users of StudiVZ and MeinVZ as of August 2017.

Translated:

The VZ networks with over 10 million* users already. A very nice performance, considering that the whole company was founded eleven years ago in a small flat share in Berlin and today also includes meinVZ.net besides studiVZ.net.

Note the *Stand: August 2017 at the bottom of the page, which means as of August 2017.
