iwondertoo: I'd guess that those costs will be recovered in fairly short order. Then the only thing ERHC will be out of pocket on would be their % of actual shared production cost. It's a great deal to not have to come up with sqwat up front all the way down the line and get a few healthy size checks to bank in the process. Amazing!
I see a good day tomorrow and a great wek ahead.
BTA, Lou
magicatlast: If I'm not mistaken....
you had said that ERHC contorls a third of the consortiums rights. It's more like half of that since the 50% aggregate ERHC enjoys in Bs 1-3 combined 300% = 1/6. Still pretty sweet for sure, just not crazy sweet!:)
Although I'd loved to have seen at least a passing PR from the Co., 'Hey we did good, more later', I'm really not concerned. Just so long as we get something out for the weekend for investors to mull with other PRs & related news stories. IMO those news stories will be coming out this weekend. This is no small shakes by any means and I think that any legitimate news source, especially financial & O&G specifically, will want to have as much of the WHOLE story as possible before going to print or whatever.
I truly believe that next week will make this one look like crap! I really understand everyone's want/need for a more instant form of gratification, but it just aint gonna happen with this one. Obviously. But just as obvious is the FACT that it will. Just give the chefs a chance to prepare the meal by tomorrow's end and the weekend for everyone to feast on and digest what they've been served.
Then there's always at least two more blocks, more deals, more %s, more $ and CVX's discoveries. So don't have a kannipshun!
ERHE is at a two, or more, year high so enjoy, Lou
A good string of PRs from the company will go a long way to at least educating the retail buyers. After all, once they read a blurb through Rueters or whomever, most will head straight for the company website. I'm sure the big players have other sources but it wouldn't hurt for them either.
Sure would like to see the pps respond better given the news. But given what happened after last year's good news, I'm not griping..... so far.:)
It would be interesting to know...
whether or not ERHC's new found wealth and partners will lead it to look at NEEZ blocks that either didn't go at all or where some were pushed out of for non payment, etc..
I keep dozing off and waking, only to find that it's not time for the market to open yet. Crap!:) I'm as excited now as I have been anxiety ridden for the past year. All in here, with nearly a third of it borrowed. Foolish? Maybe. But if you're gonna take a shot, you may as well make it a good one!
At the risk of over inflating egos in this already burgeoning mutual admiration society, allow me once again to relate my thanks to all that kept us healthy during the famine. Now, to whatever degree, we feast. To those and my friend who told me of this last winter. Thanks Gil!
BTA, Lou
Something must be wrong...
since we've got news and it's not tanking! Whew, I don't know how some of you hung in there for three to eight years. One year of this crappola was more than enough for the kid!
Great day for everyone, with the possible exception of JS and the likes. Don't know about y'all, but I'm getting me a fifth of Jefferson's Reserve (my kinda bourbon) and a really good Coheba for the day's finale. Can't fathom why it won't break .94 and keeps getting beat back down to .91. But hey, let whomever have their fun for now, 'cause in the final analysis it's all over but the shoutin. Or crying, depending on which side of the stick you're on.
Here's to a nice EOD spike and great weeks ahead!
Take care all, Lou
Can't speak for anyone else but....
as far as I'm concerned, it sure feels good to have a tiger by the tail. Now all that remains to be seen is just how ferocious (%s, $, drill shceduels & B1 find) that beast is going to be. At this point I feel it's reasonable to assume that the long silence is about to be broken. The floodgates should not only open this week, but pretty much stay open for a month or more.
Have a great day & a better week all, Lou
For those that like/understand charts and the TA (Technical Analysis) derived from them. And for folks like me who go...wha, what did he just say, when someone starts talking about them.
StockTA.com has analysis on leading charts such as EMA, MACD and Fibs (don't ask what these acronyms stand for, 'cause I don't know off hand) and the indications they bear through that analysis. In the case of these charts the analysis across the board (short, intermediate and long term) bears a VBu or Very Bullish rating.
Their TA on recent (3/9/06) candlestick chart is Very Bullish with a further Bullish Engulfing designation, which I assume is the highest buy rating possible. That is unless there's a Bullish Defecating On And Sexually Abusing Bear rating.
Due their consideration of a number of factors they arrived at a buy consensus. With a short, intermediate, long and overall indicators showing bullish again.
Another site, Barchart.com, whose TA is based on bar charts (obviously) has a Composite 'Trend Spotter' Indicator rating of buy. This is comprised of their TA on short, mid and long term ratings which average out to an 88% buy ratio, with the long term rating standing at 100%. Their findings also show a share price pivot point of .8233 and next resistance at .8833 cents/share.
Had little better to do on a semi gloomy day in the Big D, so I thought I'd donate some time to cheerleading if nothing else. That, and I'd hate to think that I'm the only fool here who wouldn't know a bull from a bear chart if it bit me in the butt! So I appreciate those sites, for what any charts are worth with this stock, making sense of what is otherwise nonsense to me. Thought I'd share it FWIW.
If the trade winds continue to blow fair and strong I don't see us closing below low to mid nineties on Monday. It isn't a freakin holiday or something is it!? Good. I don't think I could stand it, since waiting out the weekends is tough enough. Especially when you get as close as we are now.
Looking forward to a great week. BTA, Lou
I'm no Kreskin but.....
being the novice that I am it still feels good to have made an accurate guess on the pps with this thing on any given day. I believe I called green by a nickle or more before the bell. It was a squeaker but we managed to eek out a nickle and a half. That was a close one! If I had any idea the ps would be so cooperative I'd have call a buck and a nickle. Hey, why screw around! I'll have to remember that for next week, eh?
Have a great weekend all.
I know I'm gonna, Lou
Meridian: Your replies are appreciated to the extent that I don't care for you to have to whip a dead horse, so to speak. So I'll try not to belabor what may very well be a moot point or a non point altogether. My buddy used to be a broker for a major house and although not well connected as some is fairly smart and certainly tenacious to where I take what he says seriously enough. Point in case is my investment here.
He said something to the effect that, 'I bet I know what that SOB's (Offor) gonna due or try to to do. He's going to try to syndicate his holdings in the JDZ to leverage out a much higher % of the whole thing!'. With my being an abject novice at best in these matters it's as I as much said, when he speaks he may as well be stuttering in Greek. :)
That's it for me until midnight rolls around again, so I hope we all have a good day and weekend. IMO we should be green today by a solid nickle if nothing else.
BTA, Lou
Meridian: Was only joking about...
your personal sleep, party or whatever regimen. Friend of mine seems to believe that SEO may very well be wanting to syndicate his holding in the GoG. Still don't know exactly what he was getting at, although he made it seem it would benefit Offor and ERHC tremendouly. It appeared he was talking about it creating quite a bit of leverage (60-70% of resources) in the JDZ.
That and he told me a friend of his in the patch he's known for years said everyone's being unusually tight lipped about B1 finding. Along the lines of a gag order a judge might impose. He did say that they'd probably cop to it in a minute if it were a duster, for it being either a non starter or possible leverage for other considerations. You know, the old benificent angle of, 'Let me take that worthless piece of ocean bottom off your hands old buddy', type of thing. He said all things considered it's probably quite the opposite.
Any thoughts on either or both? That is if you had enough coffee by now. :)
Good on everyone, Lou
Meridian: Slept in a little today I trust?
You really ought not keep people that probably go to bed early up so late, bleary eyed hoping to be first in line to catch the next proverbial (that's not quite accurate) gem of yours. :)
Hate to be a wet blanket, we all know how much those are loved and admired here, but just because the JDA is a go on all blocks doesn't necessarily mean the companies have all differences ironed out btwn themselves. Personally I'd be happy with what I, IMO, may happen. Blocks 3 & 4 are shoe ins for the 7:00 show on the 14th, B2 by close of business on the 16th, with 5 & 6 (everyone being temporarily satiated) more possibly left as a wait and see until CVX & XOM spill the beans. But you know what they, just who the heck are THEY anyway?), say about opinions, right?
On another front what do you this about this late breaking piece of news from over your way?
BTW bobwill, I hope that wasn't too soap-operay for you. ):<( I don't know what that symbol translates to, if anything, but it looked foul enough to suit my purpose. :) On to the news!

Mantu panel okays third term ... says, ‘it’s peoples will’• Anenih meets with 211 Reps
Sam Akpe, Ibanga Isine and Musikilu Mojeed
Despite the demand that each member of the National Assembly Joint Committee on the Review of the 1999 Constitution should be allowed individually to vote on the disputed issue of a third term for President Olusegun Obasanjo and the 36 state governors, the JCRC on Thursday through a simple majority voice vote adopted the third term option.
No other option was considered.
At least 26 lawmakers, comprising 12 senators and 14 members of the House of Representatives, voted against the decision to adopt a three-term tenure of four years each for the president and governors.
The JCRC is made up of 80 members.
But the Deputy President of the Senate and Chairman of the JCRC, Alhaji Ibrahim Mantu, described the adoption of the three-term tenure as the wish of Nigerians expressed through the two-day public hearing on the review of the constitution.
The position of the JCRC instantly amends Section 137 sub-section 1(b) of the 1999 Constitution that gave a maximum of two terms of four years each to the president and state governors.
But the decision of the committee is still subject to confirmation by the two chambers of the National Assembly and approval by two-thirds of the 36 states Houses of Assembly.
Sources in the chamber said the build-up to the endorsement of the third term began when Senator Farouk Bello-Bunza called for the removal of Section 133 from the 1999 Constitution.
The Section provided that “a candidate for an election to the office of President shall be deemed to have been duly elected to such office where, being the only candidate nominated for the election if he has a majority of “Yes” votes over “No” votes cast at election; and he has not less than one quarter of the votes cast at the election in each of at least two thirds of all the states in the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.”
The House Leader, Mr. Abdul Ningi, seconded Bello-Bunza’s motion.
But Ningi was said to have cautioned members to remember the era of late General Sani Abacha when all the parties adopted the former military leader as a sole candidate.
The motion was voted out.
The rest is in article in the PUNCH.
Take care all, Lou
alright:OT I've only got one post left anyway, so I might as well blow it right here and now by asking, What's up with that palm of yours anyway!? You may need to get that thing checked. You sure you're not abusing the poor fella? Maybe a little lotion might be in order. :o)
I guess if I hear something worthwhile today I'll have to stoop to posting it on RB. Oh, the humanity!
Take her easy folks, Lou
Ps: Hey Matt, how's about givin' me my other 12 posts back, PLEEEASE! If you do I promise that by the end of the month, if all goes according to plan (min of $5/sh), I'll buy a darn subscription or you can relegate me to the dust bin with tatrader1. How's that for a deal? I'm sure your thrilled!
Dane: It was a sorry state of affairs...,
ending with my calling BB a lady of the night, in a manner of speaking. That's why, as a result, I only get three posts a day these days. I hope he didn't take it to heart too badly, because I can assure one and all that I had much stronger words for Ms. Buks on that fateful day. I believe it was when this thing tanked to the tune of twenty six cents and I'd just had my fill of MONGO. Buks, jeez, that's still one heck of a misnomer! Wonder where her semi worthless butt wound up? Who knows, maybe it's she or John whathisname (ex IR guy @ ERHC) that's posting as Meridian these days. Wouldn't that be a hoot!
Anyway, I hope my buddy comes up with something today or tomorrow on CVX's findings. He's originally from La and knows folks who know folks in the patch. I'll call him later. Whatever it is, if anything, you'll be able to take it to the bank. BTW, he did say that Transocean, another tip he gave me last year along with Toreador (big winners), is moving rigs in that direction. But I guess we already knew that, eh?
Take care, Lou
Ps: Cool Beatles tune!
Dane: I'd love to see both him and MONGO/LLOYD go the same way tatrader1 went. I personally still think that freze is mongo's night time alter ego and both should be tossed, period. No excuses, but mongo's the reason I errantly blew up at BB two or three months ago for not getting rid of him. People such as him/them, especially if I can't get my hands on him/them, annoy the ever lovin'... crap outta me! No one wants or should have to listen, so to speak, to that type of nonsense on a never ending basis. On the other hand, who knows? They'd probably just reincarnate themselves under another spiffy little handle. Bassturds!:o)
On a lighter note, I may finally have something of worth to contribute to the board by the weekend aside from thanks, well wishes. Along with my sparkling wit, personality and insights that is!:) The same friend that got me into this a year ago, yes he's still a friend if but barely, had to drop his ERHE holdings do to financial hardship so he hasn't been following it. When I brought him up to speed last night, gently so as not to gloat, he said he'd make a call to verify something for me. That being where CVX stands as far as where they're at and what they've found (or not) in B1. I know no one's looking for promises, yeah right!, so none will be proferred. But he's always been good for his word, so we'll see. If he can't it won't be because he didn't try and certainly not because he was full of it in the first place.
Thanks to all that contribute to the betterment of the whole. All the rest are just..... well, holes!:( Sorry.:)
Have a good one everybody, Lou
Homeport: Sounds great, thanks. I really do believe that da Costa is just doing some last minute, obligitory posturing out of bravado, if not for pride's sake alone at this point. It's like you more than less said, and you should know, that it was good that we're just now hearing from anyone from STP. It's even better in my book that it was him rather than Menezes. This way he can give them some room, feigning respect and decency if nothing else, whilst they peruse 'til their hearts are content. Then Menezes could reserve the right to step in and finalize things should an albatross hang about the ceremonial neck at the last minute on the 14th. All the while saying that he gave everyone more than enough time and that now, in the best interest of his countrymen and proceeding the election of naturally, he must do what need be done for the sake of all concerned. I somehow don't think that will be necessary. All just my opinion, but great news.
Meridian: Thanks for the B2 update. Very little but good news in the offing it would seem, eh? Love to know what SNP is going to give up for their E-Class ticket amusement park ride. Disney has Magic Mountain and we in the GoG have the ERHC Hercules Flume ride. Think I like ours better.
claudealain: Good morning/afternoon! How are you and your dear Papa doing in the Alps, or thereabouts, this fine day? Are you really going to ignore MONGO/LLOYD'S alter ego and take away his night job? For shame! :) All the more's the pitty that he won't be able to respond without buying a subscription, since he's already used his allotment of 15 posts for the day. Ahh, sweet bliss! I'd be willing to bet that good ol' MONGO/PUTZ/BASHER/SHMUCK/GIRLYMAN will be around in a few hours to take up for him/self.
My long winded self only has one post left, so I'll spare you all until later, ha, ha. H
Have a good day all, Lou
Art: I may be mistaken but this guy, or whatever, sounds allot like our good friend MONGO/LLOYD. Only with a variation in tact and a different time slot. Unless you personally know this one, it seems more than coincidental that Mongo's not been around much during the day lately and presto, Mr. Freze (like out of a bad Batman flick) pops up at night! Both do nothing more than try to run people in obtuse circles, with the only difference being MONGO/LLOYD pulls up filings and all of the most negative news stories. This alter ego of his just talks smack, period. Don't waste your breath, so to speak, and aggravate yourself. You should have learned by now that it's a losing proposition with those of this ilk.
Anywaaaay, I don't know about shmucks like him but I really like what I'm hearing this week. Can't wait for this to be OFFICIALLY over so the sp will stop being jerked around, us with it, get some proven through CVX hit and get the heck off this damned otcbb! Glad things look good for SNP in B2 and could care less what Conoil does or doesn't do. IMO, at this point in time they, Godsonic and whomever in their league are non starters anyway. Less than a week and we're on our way!
Take care all, Lou
Thanks for the response let alone the candor...,
with which it was delivered. It was much appreciated. Although falling on what I can only assume are deaf ears, for lack of acknowledgment, I have in the past attempted to voice my gratitude toward others such as yourself. I do however understand the, shall we say, reluctance of some here and otherwise to share (in depth) what they scrupulously guard as priviledged information. After all, I'm a relative new comer, been in it a year, to this issue whereas some have been at it several years, with some bearing the battle scars of more than twice that long. Hey, first come, first serve I guess.
Well, seeing as how this is my third and last post for the day, all that's allowed me after being in the IHUB doghouse due a severe meltdown circa the stock hitting .26 a couple of months ago, I just thought I'd say thanks for being a good Joe/Josephine. After we finally recieve confirmation of our holdings here I'd like to see this stock finally be evaluated on a fair and equidible basis. Some feel that that should be in the $3-$5 range. If all I've heard and the assumptions are true, I can't see this being worth, given the benchmarks set by similar companies, less than the $12-$15 mark. Though it's like I've said, BWDIK.
Thanks and take care, 'cause it's dangerous out there for those who know too much don't cha know.
BTY, Lou
Ps: Doctor J, stuff it! And yes, the pun was intended.
Meridian: I've enthusiastically read most of what's worth reading on this subject for over a year now, which recently includes most of your original posts and rebuttals to a myriad of questions. That said, and with the full understanding you owe I or others very little (only that which you've willingly engendered), I'd like to pose a general two fer one question from the peanut gallery.
That being, on the ever so exacting scale of one to ten, how strong do you feel this company's (ERHC) position/profitability is, ALL thing considered, (A)short term (JDZ) and (B)going forward (STPEEZ)? Not looking for an easy answer here, if one is in the offing at all. I just get tired of being a relatively minor, although all in, ill informed and out of the loop player, who rarely asks and more rarely gets an answer.
TIA and, so long as you do no harm, good luck to you regardless of agenda.
Lou
Rambus: Nice find, thanks. With that big shindig planned for the 14th thru the 16th in Abuja, I can see why we should expect SOMETHING to get signed on or before the 14th. The more blocks accounted for the better it will look to those 10K folks in attendence. SEO, Obasanjo & Brandhuber notwithstanding, IMO Daukuro is our closest and best ally in this whole thing. Especially since he's now the big cheese at the OPEC table. I doubt very seriously as to whether he'd be a happy camper with this creating a pall over his/Nigeria's festivities while the world looks on.
BWDIK except for the fact that I'm somewhat comfortably in the green and things are sounding better and looking more definite and therefore secure everyday. Come to think of it, that's good enough for me!
BTA, Lou
Strategyone: Well said!
magic: I smoked my last one last Friday, just several hours before we semi crashed here. Didn't dare leave the house until we started getting a little good news late yesterday afternoon...didn't trust myself! :)
ETURD streaming quotes just hit .80, UNBELIEVABLE!!!
Giddy factor startin' ta kick in again, Lou
With all the extremes this company has gone through and the roller coaster ride the sp has taken with it, you've gotta say one thing for this puppy.... IT'S RESILIANT!
Gotta love it or leave, go big minnow go!!!!!!
That's right, it's no longer the little minnow that could. It's now well on it's way to becoming the big minnow that did. Today's strong and almost immediate rebound proves that, if nothing else.
Have a good day all, Lou
Ps: Can hardly wait for big brokerage recommended and institutional buying to kick in. This thing should be unstoppable!
Leo: Personally I'm of the opinion that that putting a one in front of your possible low of a $2.42ps wouldn't be crazy. Not with Blks 2, 3 & 4 being signed, with greatly improved status in all (enhanced %s, full carries, + $) CVX devulging their findings in B1 (by proxy B2 & beyond) and consortium partners that really rock. Remember the street had this pegged @ $3.76 or better short term, weeks, after 6/01/05 awards. I believe that that figure was predicated on, at least for the most part, preferencial rights alone.
Today ERHC Energy, Inc. enjoys %s that could easily, if prospectively = one if not closer to three billion barrels above and beyond what it started out with a year ago. So, do I think that this stock could hit $12ps by months end? You betcha! Big brokerages are just waiting to add this to their client's portfolios. But THEY wanna see J Hancocks on the paperwork first. Most of their clientel can afford a buck or two out of twelve to twenty, for starters IMO.
Freeze: All due respect still causes logic to dictate that we're never gonna see @ or below .50p ever again. I really don't believe there's that many shares in that weak a hands these days. That said, tomorrow's news, or lack thereof, and pps should be very interesting to watch indeed. As most have said, I'm not going anywhere but ya just gotta be there watching things unfold anyway. Kinda like waiting for a child to be born or something of the sort. This sure has felt like the equivilant of what I'd imagine labor pains to be like! :)
BTW, it's about 9:30am Abuja time. Could be hearing sumpin soon.
Hope everyone has a good one today, Lou
vip: I belive CVX will pull out all the stops financially to get whatever they can of B2, with their having rig RIGHT there being the kicker. I say let them have the over lay from B1, regardless of how far it runs, for as much as it's worth. Then give Sinopec actual operatorship of remainder of B2, which appears to be substantial aside from B1 overlay, for another butt load of cash.
Voulla(?sp), everyone's, well almost, happy. We'll certainly be happy with however this works out, given Offor himself doesn't screw us.:) Do I actually fear that, as some do? Absolutely not on my life! Nobody, and I mean nobody gets this far only to shoot themselves in the foot for what would amount to petty theft conparatively speaking.
BTA, Lou
CJ: Looking at it that way I guess that makes Mongo and the likes part of the Travoda clan. At this point I sincerely doubt anyone could whole heartedly vouch for or discredit very much of anything connected with this saga. That is with the possible exceptions of SEO being the supreme dragon of the KKK or heads of STP to be on Jepardy show of champions! Although trivia may very well be the forte of the latter.
Good to be back from a well deserved stay in the IHUB doghouse as things, despite the unusual (even for this Co) setback, are about to get really good. Thanks chcr and sorry, once again, BB. FWIW Ms Buks, to whom I wrote a scalding email, probably would have happily traded places with you on that fateful potty mouth day! I believe it was circa 'In the dumper (.26) day'. Anyway, I'm much better now.
Bobwill9 wanted a summary on what happened since Friday. I guess it was just more of the same, just different. Friday morning we were gold, Firday afternoon we were SOL and by Sunday night it would appear we're golgen once again! Go figure.
I very much believe as do most here. That regardless of what happens, it seems the worse the better, we'll come out of it ahead in the long run. After all, King umph, I mean Sir Offor Lake (the GoG) appears to be just that. Don't know about y'all, but given what we've seen I'm stickin' with him, now and later.... period!
Haven't sold a single share even though I could have at this point with an avg of.4726. On the contrary, I've only added to get to that avg, with many thanks to many here whom I've already given honerable mention elsewhere many times over.
Tomorrow shouldn't be such a crappy day after all. So, here's to tomorrow and bolta!
Lou
Hey Matt,
Just because I called one of your moderators (BB) a whore, for not banishing Mongo for his degradating posts, gives you no right to put me out. Not that I personally give a damn but it's just not right. You, in my opinion, have let alot of shit go by on a regular basis that is far worse than anything I've had to say. So waddaya say in letting bygones be bygones and lift the ban? Other than that I can't see myself doing anything other than filing a complaint with the FCC & SEC as to your practices. I hate like hell to end on that note, but there you have it.
BOL, Lou
oil57: That's my concern exactly..em
DQ: I can dig it brother!..em
pinecat: I can't envision the actual truth being any more plausable than that unless it was on the other side of the spectrum altogether. Touche'! I think that's how one spells attaboy/girl in French.
BOL, Lou
Art: Thanks and FWIW I've held and added..em
SloJon: Caught your post on Raging Bullsgonewild, so there's no need for correspondence unless you'd care to. I'd be more than happy to reply with a phone# if you'd like to put a voice with the syberspace crapola. It'd be nice to actually speak to someone instead of this typing thing. I HATE typing! Probably cause I'm not worth a crap at it.
Lou
Ps: I believe I'll pass on the coffee though. Can't sleep as it is. But thanks, I got it.
SloJon: Given the time and inclination....
I'd be tickled to know what you posted to me that was deleted, since I couldn't even retrieve it from my IHUB mailbox. My email add: is in my bio, so to speak. So if you've got a minute, and remember what the heck it was you wrote in the first place, shoot me a note with the jist of it. Thanks.
Take care, Lou
Ps: I really didn't mean to steal part of your signature phase. It's just honestly how I feel about things and always have. Far too many care far too little which, as a matter of due course, leaves far too few to care way too much. It's a disgusting little turn of events I've witnessed gain speed and momemtum over the past forty or so years.
Joe: Don't bother digging too deep for things of this nature, since they're not appreciated by most anyway. Besides, this company (Oryx) seems to have made great strides, in a variance of applicable niche markets, since the mid to late nineties. At this point I care little as to how they've accomplished these feats. Only that they have and are now on our team. All in a cozy Abasanjo, Offor, nordic kinda way.
Who really does care anymore who does what with this play or who benefits globally from it product wise. So long as whomever puts it into play doesn't screw US in the meantime! Most everyone has their druthers as to how they'd care for this odessy to pan out. But whatever oil comes from this, or any place else for that matter, is going to go wherever it's going to in the end, period. Sad, but true.
BOLT those invested, Lou
Ps: Hope your Mom's okay Joe.
Pps: I'm really, really, REALLY tired of Mongo's incesant crap Balance. For all concerned can you not at this point, for a variance of reasons, remove him and all potential future aliases from this board? Thanks
Gig: It also sounds like they want to run the next play real quick like, before a disgruntled coach throws a red flag from the sidelines wanting a review. Fine by me!
JMHO, Lou
Doug: This thing had no more business @.33ps than it does @ the measley .365ps it's gone up to at present. But the thing is that it HAS gone up two days in a row, on low volume and with less, at the moment, reason for it to do so than why it's been as low as .32ps. I'm honestly not all too worried about us getting screwed altogether for a few reasons I just pvt posted to Gig.
In our favor are still facts that ERHC is still an American owned, if not operated, concern that is also listed on a U.S. exchange. Even as woe begotten as the OTCBB is, this issue, due the foregone conclusions, still falls within certain guidelines and parameters. If transgressed Offor's present and future assets in this country, and possibly elsewhere, could be tied up indefinitely, should our Fed have reason to do so. That aside, Offor apparently wishes to be the likes of a king in his country. A country which is tightly bound to our apron strings to a good extent and can ill afford more scandle. Especially through who they hold out to the world, let alonje the U.S., as one of their premier citizens.
Take care, Lou
Ps: I feel ya on the revenge thing and you know we're gonna get the payback we're due. If not, a bottem feeder the likes Curt wouldn't be hanging around like grim death! I still believe he needs to get the boot, if only figuratively, since extremely little I've seen come out of him is of any worth, in any way shape or form.
Procon: Thanks for suffering the slings and arrows of some, if not most, here, your blog and at RB to continue delivering the news. You've admittedly left me scratching my head at some of your, at times, rather offbeat opinions. But I've rarely found fault with what you've related through your sources as fact baring news.
Amuzing as it is sad that most in the recent past wouldn't have walked across the street to relieve themselves on you were you on fire. But give them what they want/need by way of information they can't or are too lazy to get on their own and presto, instant admirers! BTW, I couldn't care less if the company that steps in to fill the void comes from friggen Mars, so long as they can float the boat. Although I would naturally be interested in just who the heck it is just the same if you get more than a clue.
DQ: My thoughts on MONGO/LLOYD exactly! In fact you took the words I was just about to type right out of my mouth, so to speak. He's either one of the biggest a-holes I've ever come across, given any reason or venue, and or at least somewhat mentally handicapped. The latter being up to, if not at, the point of being pathologically damaged goods altogether.
BB: Someone in the past couple of days suggested that this was a tight group and would probably, given few exceptions, get along great if we were to meet somewhere at sometime. My being included in that group may be subjective for whatever reason, but there should be little doubt as to who one of the exceptions would be. In fact were I that person I'd have a palpable fear of bodily harm even imagining the prospect. At this point I would like to know why this individual (Mongo, Curt, whomever) has been allowed to post his negative, bashing and demeaning retoric and comments here at all? Investing in general is not a damned joke, at least not for me, let alone the issue that MOST are vested in here. No decent person following this thread needs to be constantly, continually and relentlessly subjected to his crap on a daily basis.
Hey Gig, I got your massage. Hang in there buddy! It may only lead to another blind alley but IMO we're about to turn a corner here pretty quick. With all that's in the offing in the next month something's gotta give. Shoot me an email if you get the urge. I think it's in my bio if I'm not mistaken. Take care.
BOLTA, Lou
FWIW: If indeed folks like Curt, Noreen and whomever are among those manipulating this issue, and are doing so out of Florida, they couldn't have picked a better place, in this country, to play pirate. In '96 I had a little difference of opinion with some folks in Miami on how business ought to be done. Let it surfice to say that a clerk in the Fla. AG's office disgustedly admitted to me that their state, given all the legal loopholes, had become a haven for thieves.
From what I understand, from the same friend (not so much anymore, ha, ha) who told me about ERHC back in Feb., this play (the GoG) is being scrutinized and has been for awhile, let alone ERHC. This due its' overall importance and folks in general, for a variance of reasons, screaming their balls off like some, I know I have, may have here.
I do believe that in the end we'll our due. It just depends on when, how, how much or how little, as the case may be. IMO I can't see it being all too little, less than six bucks, unless Offer was just using this as a vehicle for Chrome from the get go. If they, whomever THEY are these days, try to screw the general populous too badly I believe the stench would be a tad more than EO would be willing to chance, if nothing else. After all, this is still, first and foremost, a US owned company that is publicly traded on, as ner do well as it is, a US exchange.
There are price tags in the form of repsonsibilities that go along with those priviledges. I'd like to think our fearless leader has well thought out the consequences of shirking said responsibilities and found the upside of doing so sorely lacking.
I truly hope that all that have suffered through these terrible storms, from the Sabine to the east coast of Fla., are doing well tonight. God bless.

FWIW....
I had to pay the ask (.35) to get a 7,500 buy order filled. E-Trade wouldn't/couldn't fill it at the bid (.345).

Homeport: I believe he'll make out okay..em
A hail and hearty hello....
and best wishes to all whose company I've not had the pleasure of lately. More over and most certainly to those, if I were to be frank and honest, whom I hold in any if not high esteem. At least as much as one can have for another in a venue such as this. Those being they who not only lack malice but find pleasure, posing does not qualify, in being cordial and as informative and supportive as one in these circumstances should be to another. Picky, aint I?
To be included for sure, like 'em or not, are those among us and or their friends/family who call 'The Gulf' btwn La & Ms home. For those who have not had the pleasure, tongue n cheek big time, of viewing this calamity in person, I assure you it's something one would and could never forget. That being regardless of an inherently callous nature at worst or any attempt at wearing blinders at best. Truly a tragedy, regardless of one's conception thereof, of staggering proportions in both the short and long run in every way.
FWIW, that assessment comes from a man, albeit overly sensitive at times, that has seen many ills of a wide and diverse nature, to varying degrees and has been hardened, despite best efforts, commensurately. I'm absolutely heartbroken for our fellow countrymen in that region and to say you've seen the tip of the iceberg would be overstating the experience. May God be with and comfort them and theirs in this, their time of urgent and immediate need. May He also give the rest us the strength and conviction to face whatever the future holds. United we stand. The alternative I trust everyone knows.
That said and done and having caught up on some recent posts, I see we're still in that holding pattern whilst we await the big okie dokie from on high, so to speak. Can't really say as that's particularly surprising. I've genuinely felt, for a month or more, that this egg wouldn't crack until just before or after all agreements are finalized for the JDZ in general and/or, as a matter of due course, our minnow in particular. That being two to four weeks before and/or after mid November. While that may be an awfully wide and somewhat uncertain gap for swing traders, et al, it's music to the ears of a lowly, common investor like me.
Yes, it would appear the light is truly at the end of the tunnel at last. I say that knowing the tunnel most have been looking down has been much longer than my comparatively meager six month wait for the Golden Minnow Express to arrive at and subsequently leave the station. The main things that remain to be seen are which locomotive the light's attached to and what intentions it's coming down the track with. Then, will the, as of yet undisclosed, train stop for an, 'ALL ABOARD!', or will it try to pass the commoners by, to whatever degree, just like an express. That and if it stops at our station will we have to fight for an equitable berth near the dining car, if you please. We shall see.
I have an abiding faith in one thing, if nothing else. That being the utter impossibility, at least well within the range of ANY practicality, of our getting screwed totally and completely. All that remains to be seen is to what extent WE'LL be allowed to wet OUR beaks, as they say. Who THEY are, at least those I've known personally, I'll never tell.
So thanks to the usual suspects on the board for keeping things right. A particular shout out, but not limited to, to Homeport as usual (bravo to your handling of Mongo, a true exercise in maturity, intelligence and patience), Gig (glad you're still here). And as always the inscrutable BB working the board like an arbitrator at a rowdy Teamster meeting. I applaud your continued efforts at attempting to bring sanity to a less than sane situation. Especially while dealing with some, if not many, who know sanity not and have no love to learn otherwise.
BOLTA, Lou
Ps: Sorry for the length, I rarely have the opportunity to utter those words (Ha, Ha), but just think of it as two weeks worth rolled into one!
BTW, I've got a question I know someone out there, given the inclination of course, can answer. It's one that someone else, I forget who, had asked. That being, when would a company, given the particulars we're dealing with, exercise a buyin/out in this situation, pre or post JDZ finalization?
Thanks and be well.
BB: Now that's a timely & relavant bit of IR. I'll let ya'll guess as to why. Watch and learn Debbie.
Thanks BB, Lou
