I feel your pain, but so far it's an unremarkable fallback after a few out-of-nowhere strong green days.
Yeah, ditto, I'm in now. A little disconcerting not to get a "we're doing maintenance" page but that nearly blank http error! But it's good now.
Also tks to KGR for giving me a readout.
Folks, I can't get into Ameritrade this morning (not even the home page is displaying). What's the pre-market look like?
Refresh my memory please on the date of that conference, and pardon for what I'm sure must be a repetitive question.
I haven't read all the messages so I don't know if this has been commented on, but one positive is the clear statement about the Scanbuy request for summary judgment being denied--we're done with all the queries and anxieties about whether someone can find it on Pacer.
Is it just me, or my browser, or is Yahoo (or anyone) still not showing a spell-corrected PR? All that shows now (for me) is yesterday's resignation and the SEC filing about the resignation.
exceptional early-morning volume.eom
I've seen a fair amount of the super-extra hairsplitting the last couple of weeks. Great for entertainment.
It's not you.eom
well, yesterday our PR came at 11 am. Perhaps the conference presentation will produce something later today to keep it going.
(volume is lower too)
just--but I'll take it. eom
That's a good PR, signs of life and moving forward. eom
decent 20-minute volume/eom
That's how I see it. It's a reminder of past revenue by that division, a statement that it continues to make similar amounts of money (which I certainly believe), and regret about the fact that it can't name some of its partners. The latter I find very strange, even though it's been explained here many times (just sayin'--don't mean to revive all that)
OT: So? Small aircraft. Relax.eom
Yeah, I don't get that either. Don't defame--of course. Don't call names, yes, absolutely, be adults. But an outright ban on a matter of such clear importance dramatically reduces the usefulness of a discussion board. No disrespct to anyone intended.
I agree fwiw. TS's email didn't distance himself from some contributor, which is what I half-expected, but clearly and definitively repudiated everything NEOM said about ChangeWave. He then repeated all his negatives on NEOM. I have no idea who's closer to the truth in this case but it has to have an effect.
Another poster writes:
One simple question - if TS was so concerned about his subscribers, why was he blatantly pumping the stock in an e-mail sent on September 20 when most of the issues he cites (massive share dilution, composition of the board members, Neomedia's acquisition strategy) have been well known for months?
Which is excellent criticism. But as far as NEOM's allegations are concerned, you couldn't have a stronger denounciation of it. Which makes this a very strange case.
Well....he does a little more than that. He explicitly denies the accusations made against him in the Neomedia PR.
super useful info, tks/eom
Ah, I see it is open per a Mae West message.eom
Is the market closed Monday? And apologies in advance for my ignorance.
It concerns me.
All negative and positive posts are welcomed by investors who need the widest variety of information--especially given the non-transparent habits of NEOM since I bought in up around .40.
Naturally, all negative and positive posts should be expressed in a respectful manner and based on facts and responsible supposition.
IHub rules do not require posters to be shareholders.
Best to all.
Hey, thanks for that. Pardon my chart idiocy, but is there a reasonably clear point of upside resistance?
meanwhile we're up 5-6% on 400,000 shares in ten minutes.eom
Chartist, do you have any chart-related observations at this juncture? tia & if not, have a great weekend.
I'm not a big fan of paid pumper/paid basher theories. Yes, it happens, but with most pennies and Lord knows most pinksheets, price swings are much more a function of speculation, both in the generic sense and specifically because pink-sheet financials are so non-transparent.
I think most of the crazier postings on boards like these stem from a combination of anonymity and the lack of consequences for outrageous speech. That plus personal feuds--that's why you have people bickering over thoroughly familiar points week after freakin' week.
Much better to stick to speaking about the stock, rather than each other, and focusing on actual new DD. IMO.
This is all ancient history that has nothing to do with NEOM today, Paperclick-now-Qode, or any current competition. They scuttled/got rid of that business, they retained the rights to the Qode name, that's it.
NEOM has plenty of things to worry about including current competitors in mobile marketing and patent issues like the current situation with Scanbuy, but what you're talking about is a dead end, DD-wise.
I wonder if any of our chart guys have observations about today, bouncing around .12 (and below for awhile) as we did.
That is such a stretch--that's just wild unfounded speculation. I sure wish there was more, pro and con, based on detailed readings of the filing.
Oh, and as predicted, on 9/1/06 PLNI took out a $600K loan against the assets of Pro-Mold...
Is that from the new filing? If so, it's actual new DD, and thus very valauble. The filing would be a great place to direct energy & research.
Screamer, is the sky orange, or green with purple polka dots?
Yes. Or no.
With all these attacks on the new moderator, it's clear that some of the hard-core bulls have not come to grips with either the presence of the new moderator or the novel idea that posts should focus strictly on PLNI, new due diligence and informed and respectful speculation. Cut-and-paste jobs quoting olds posts that use refined terminology like "pukes" don't suggest the maturity level required for adding to our knowledge here.
It's probably asking too much to say that everyone should devote their energies to actually reading the new document and posting opinions based on that. But a man can dream.
I'll follow my own advice and check out the filing myself.
yikes, happydog, no--my apologies, though I have no idea how that happened. I was replying to the Captain.
UNLESS and now it comes to mind, that PAID pumpers relied on the message boards to PUMP the stock???
Paid pumpers, paid bashers......I realize such things exist, but in the 18 months or so I've followed PLNI, there's never been a shred of evidence that was taking place on either side. Now, is it possible some larger long-time holders finally gave up and sold out? Sure. Just too many questions marks, and--not to inflame anyone, it's just a comment--if I am not mistaken there has been no closure yet on that "informal SEC inquiry" that PLNI mentioned a while back. I invite correction on that score if I'm wrong.
Congrats Captain, if I understand correctly. I expect a much more adult conversation to follow, and it certainly wouldn't be hard to improve on the tone we've had here in the past. If there's any downside, it's that it took so long to get some standards applied--specifically, IMHO, PLNI is sinking so fast now, one wonders if it will remain a stock with long-term high interest. We'll see.
Excellent!
The purpose of this board is to provide a forum for the discussion of Plasticon. It makes no difference if you are long, short, bullish, bearish, or neutral, or if you have had a position in the past or are considering a position in the future.
[Good to see the longstanding IHub policy re-stated and enforced.]
All participation is welcome as long as it is civil, on-topic (meaning about PLNI and not about other users), and conforms to the iHub Terms of Service.
As some users have seen fit to totally disregard the above guidelines of participation we are making a change in moderator. We expect all users who wish to participate to be respectful of the broad guidelines mentioned above so that so that an orderly and civil on-topic dialog can occur to the benefit of everyone.
Dave
[All excellent]
This is a fascinating, creative deal. I have no idea what it will do to the short-term pps, but as a strategy to propagate qode, it's brilliant.
Nano, I've been attacked and insulted numerous times, and of the many TOS reports I've sent, maybe 2% have resulted in deletions. The only time I can remember language that I objected to being deleted was when I used it myself--in response to the exact same words used by another poster, whose post remains to this day.
That's what kind of moderator you are.
rrm, have a nice babbling day, you're not making any sense. You say "how convenient" to a comment about pps and volume, which confounds anyone in the English language.
Enjoy.
Um--convenient? I don't even understand exactly how I'm supposed to be insulted by that. Positions certainly reverse; it could go up from here, or down, and I can't predict what will happen going forward. But that's just investing (or trading) 101. Lots of volume, new low, usually not good.
I don't know about dumping, but it's usually a bad thing when you have high volume combined with a new one year low.
