I use the term "portfolio" loosely. I have GE and NKE that I hold along with VTS. The others come and go
<<If Ronnie pops up out of his casket and quips another wise-crack, that would be market moving.>>
I will not hold my opponents youth and inexperience against him LOL!!
I think this is a case where I'm trying to buy too soon. The chart says wait for another 1 dollar slide and I'm trying to find a reason to buy. A sure fire way to lose money <g>
<<but with a 3 day weekend looming I'm kinda cautious>>
No doubt but that the 3 day weekend is a concern. I'm trying to hedge my portfolio with some oil related stocks. I've done ok playing VTS
<<Funeral is Fri.>>
I know.....I was thinking maybe we'd have a little rally tomorrow before the funeral. I dunno
What does everyone think about us getting a Rally in front of Reagans funeral tomorrow or after his funeral Monday? I know we had a big run on Monday but I'm thinking we could see another jump.
Sorry.....wasn't trying to add politics....just picking some brains
Looks like SI is down....has life support been pulled
No more Iowa thing to worry about. I could drive the Bav mobile out <g>
Yep......its toast
Yes!
I plan on taking his place soon <g
I fear one of these days it may choke to death on one of those hiccups. I should point out for consistency sake that Favre is God
Did we just witness "Lights out" for SI?
Make sure all those people you go with have their teeth in good and tight <g

<<Let me ask a simple question, are stock options granted here to MSFT at let say $50/hare more dilutive than MSFT doing a secondary at the same price level?
No! But....when a secondary offering happens current shareholders are given the right to buy shares so that they may keep their % ownership the same. Now I realize you can do this on the open market as well but trying to keep track of all of the options granted is a tough task. But in answer to your question - No they are not more dilutive than say a secondary. In fact, because of how they are done, options are far better for a stock and its price than a secondary offering. The problem is that a secondary offering is very public whereas options granted are a little more sneaky. The outcome is the same but to the average Joe they don't even realize that options are also slowly sweeping away the underpinnings of the stock price.
<<management kept pumping out shares for themselves in ludicrous quantities
And there is the problem. These weren't given for a job well done.........in fact it appears they were given for BOOKS WELL DONE! Crisp you might say. How do you introduce a guy? Hi.......this is our company CFO and master chef <g
OH man......and how! Although his concern of the wealth effect seems to be a bad call in retrospect LOL!!
Well.........book value may not have been the correct term but stock options are dilutive. Options are granted from unreleased stock held by the company thus if converted increases the number of shares outstanding.

I'm new to this gig over here......can you toss up the list of research sites we had on SI?
With the Semi BP around 12 it seems possible that we could have a quickie spike up. Sure would be a nice place to short
Are you thinking like 1500?
Nice jack. Is that optional equipment?
If that isn't the truth. They stand up there as if to imply....."Look Voters - I am on your side."

I also think that by posting a link instead of the whole story you feed the resource. It only seems fair that the writer of an article gets the traffic.

I'd be real careful with this issue. I know for a fact that a PR group had been soliciting brokers a couple of years ago when the stock was in the (I think) 2 dollar area. Although the story sounds great my fear is it may be yet another pump campaign for a penny stock. I'm not slamming it I just think it's the kind of stock that people should be very skeptical of.

Great to see you back Bob!
I'd have to say the question and answer period has brought some new ideas to the table but has reached the end of its useful period. Now I think it's time to allow IH Bob to sit back and conjitate <g> (Jethro) some of the posts. So lets move on and spread out people. Our new home needs some topics!
As always, I couldn't have said it better! The power of your pen is unmatched and resembles the work of a Northwestern graduate.
YES! May SI remain frozen in time. Their (SI) Blatant disregard for employees and posters alike should and will be punished. Thank god that ingenuity and effort has been rewarded. It has always amazed me how quickly people forget the hard work and efforts of others. Loyalty, honor and class seem to be characteristics that are no longer important to corporate America. NEVER FORGET THOSE PEOPLE WHO HAVE HELPED YOU GET WHERE YOU WANTED TO GO.
