Thanks for the update - it’s been crickets chirping in here lately..
Any other opinions out there on this Seeking Alpha article? The 100% share dilution sounds far more excessive than anything I’ve previously seen, and what’s it going to take to finally move this share price in the right direction?
Thanks PG. Things appear to all be lining up for a nice winter/spring, which should translate to a nice bounce in share price!
When I first started following PhotonicsGuy (sp?) had some nice charts on valuations/projections. If you’re still around would you care to share again regarding the current state??
Just looking through the progress photos and schedule in the timeline. This was first time I noticed the construction schedule was amended and now has “SX/EX Upgrades & Power Upgrades” as only remaining items to be completed in July-Sept... Hopefully construction is at a minimum on schedule, if not maybe ahead of schedule to this point...
Understood - was just saying the share price wasn’t “falling like a rockstar” when considering the number or outstanding shares now vs a few days ago. Market cap stayed the same. Either way good days ahead..
Over the last 10 days or so the outstanding shares went from around 200m to 234m - that’s part of the answer..
Wow - huge... This could be an interesting trading day...
Not much reaction today to good news. What is the next step- and what can happen before Aug 1st as far as appeals go? Although at least I’m happy I snagged some shares today in the .95s...
Thanks - definitely far less than the “conservative” 250m mentioned at various times... Funds to be used for “long lead” items seems they intend to be full steam ahead with start up and construction activities...
Does today’s PP give any indication toward what final total of shares fully diluted might be? That’s a big chunk of the equity if I recall correctly??
What I keep looking at is that IBC is only a ~10 million dollar company. They have reported having about 3-4 million in working capital. Punch in the numbers of what just 1 ton of our 100 yearly tons would cost them. I just don't see IBC being able to purchase more than a tiny amount at a time, and certainly not an offtake of the volume what would jump start financing...
I can see some value in the joint venture - but for now I'd much rather have big players step up for the first offtakes...
Just my opinion
I sent a couple questions via the webcast app- but they weren't brought up. I don't believe they were taking any questions online or over the phone....
One page that caught my eye was 425 - the table of the Schedule Summary. They have the test wells, pipeline, and initial site grading still slated for the end of the year. If we have positive finance news along with start of construction activities, that'll be a good day for us all...
Link I got was 1 guy who was related to technical aspect of backfill...
Either way the full report is due soon!
Just updated to 368k traded - not sure if a glitch or what? It was showing 504k about 15min ago like you said...
My TD Ameritrade was showing over 500k traded on OTC - it just corrected and now says only 364k traded so far....
Interesting volume...
HUGE difference between opinions and facts - you are trying to pass off your opinions as facts. I'm done with the topic as well - kcco and hopefully more good news soon...
Just trying to keep it fact based. Writing on the wall is that Scandium is of interest - I'd love to see it declared critical and stockpiled. We're just not quite there yet.
My opinion/concern is that the government process to make that happen may be slow. My own hunch and opinion is that the first offtake gets the ball rolling for the rest. Getting offtakes to cover the first 3-5 years during loan repayment would be monumental...
I'm not trying to stir the pot - and definitely not a day trader. It's just simply not true that the DOD is proposing to purchase Scandium at this point. You are not going from point A to B, you saying that the DOD is proposing the purchase of 100 tons of Scandium is more like going from A to Z and skipping all the details and steps in between. The press release and 2 paragraphs of the committee report clearly don't say that Scandium will be purchased or stockpiled in any amount- you are jumping to a huge conclusion that isn't true yet.
I surely hope some day you can laugh and tell me I'm wrong. I've never sold a share and still believe this project will get built.
Good luck to all...
Again - the DOD has not proposed purchasing 100 tons of Scandium...
AO posted that the DOD is proposing to purchase 100 tons of Scandium - they aren't. I hope as much as anyone else that they some day do....
"Add 3/4 of niobium wrapped in off takes, the partnersip between IBC and Nio to develop downstream markets for scandium and now the DOD proposing to purchase 100 tons of scandium material per year from US based scandium mines."
It's a briefing on its uses - you said the DoD directed the purchase of 100 tons per year. I don't see anywhere that directs the purchase of Scandium in any amount.
Again - I like the intent of those 2 paragraphs but it's not a commitment to purchase Scandium from us or anyone. That's why I suggest contacting the Nebraska Senators who should have in depth knowledge of the committees report as well as knowledge of the NioCorp project as it relates both to Nebraska and the federal government.
I opened up the full version of the Armed Service Committee report - I don't see anywhere that directs the purchase of 100 tons of Scandium. It directs a briefing on the uses for Scandium - then the next paragraph talks about purchasing and stockpiling critical materials.
I like the overall intent - but it stops short of actually saying that Scandium will be bought or stockpiled.
Perhaps a good strategy would be to contact both Nebraska Senators Deb Fischer and Ben Sasse. They are both listed as being part of the United States Senate Committee on Armed Services. It would be great to get some feedback or insight into how hard government is pushing for the NioCorp project to become a reality.
27k shares traded on the OTC as compared to the 250k average the past 10 days...
Would be nice to see upward trend again...
This is a local news story from Oct 2016...
http://kwbe.com/featured-news/nemaha-county-offers-support-for-niocorps-de-watering-idea/
I've never heard any mention of local/state laws restricting the pipeline. The Corps of Engineers 404 permit authorizing its construction gives it the green light for everything except the outfall into the river (which requires some additional permitting)...
Realistically, where is the price going in the short term? Are we headed back to .50US as a result of the PP? It looks like it closes on or around the 17th?
At one point there was discussion that Niobium earnings could potentially fund the mine- anyone have thoughts or opinions on Niobium revenue versus debt payments?
Yes - don't forget several of their PRs were released late afternoon just after market close...
I'm not getting too wound up about it...
I have tempered expectations. I certainly hope the FS numbers come out next week- but if for some reason they don't I'll listen to why there is a delay. Nowhere in the last 2 years has there been a "hiccup" or complication otherwise in the process - only improvements. Until something fundamentally changes I'm not worried....
ToDD - you stopped in the Tecumseh office lately? I drove the area a few weeks ago hoping to see some equipment or areas staked out...
Some decent trading to end the day. I see someone has a bid in for 40,000 shares @ .65US..
I'd absolutely be happy with that 25% - let's hope the next few weeks start bringing the news that can make it a reality...
I suppose I'd also be happy with a value of over 17billion (without dilution). But let's be realistic and aim for a billion dollar company to start??
Competitor Scandium International had a trading halt this morning. Looks like they received final permits and can begin construction. Financing is their last hurdle to opening a Scandium mine...
Just going from memory, but I believe pretax NPV was reported at just over 3 billion. Divide by current outstanding shares of 195 million equals ballpark $15 price per share. Anyone else feel free to correct my napkin math...
I'm not an industry expert by any means - but I'd personally be surprised for FS information to be released at/for this event. I could very well be wrong...
Snippets from the InvestorIntel website;
"InvestorIntel is one of the most trusted online resources of independent investor information".
Regarding the conference;
"The industry and frontline investors are center stage at the #1 international conference for debate and dialogue on these relevant challenges"
Seems like if they let NioCorp kick off their premier event with a big release of the FS that they'd look far more like a promoter/advertiser pulling a publicity stunt, rather than a trusted source of independent information.
Perhaps a range in the under 100k shares? 0-10,000 / 10,000-50,000 / 50,000-100,000?
