I agree Hawks. I wish M.C. had "Lock Jaw" instead of "Lock Step" !
I sold SIgma Labs which I bot in 2013 and took a several thousand $ loss before Dec31,2017. Working hard in hopes of restarting our grandson,s education fund. The SGLB money made a BIG dent in his account. Having said that, it is very nice to see the "Cola" family enjoying New York on the IHUB page knowing that my grandson and I helped fund their trip! Cola et al, have hurt several in the way they have managed Sigma over the years and enjoyed two incomes( Until Amanda left),but she still cashed in on the last "Pump". Amazingly selling her gifted shares on the one day the stock ran into the 3's. At anyrate, I have read with interest, the message board for years and truly hope all of the writers, both good and bad, have good health and prosperity in 2018
Jackie, in all honesty, with all the new contracts, agreements and partners, let us see more than $ 78K in income for the next quarter!
Vision et al, if we have done so well with our contracts and doing biz with" The Big Guy", help me understand how Sigma just posted the grand some of $78k for a quarter! Jake,s deli in my neighborhood produced more than that in the last 3months! Sorry But when your investment is off by 90+% and we have produced 78k for a quarter, well "Wow"! Love to read the pro,s and con,s from this Board and I believe in 3 -D printing. But this saga is too frustrating .
Long time stockholder and very disappointed stockholder dating back since 2013. One question which I have raised before, Why not lease? Small Co,s yes, cash purchase is a very large consideration. By leasing, a customer can pay small monthly payment as they save money on production therefore funding Sigma,s software with cash flow. When Sigma,s quarterly income is only $78+K, it is time to consider alternatives. Just saying !
Got to add my 2 cents. About what my SGLB shares add up to. I have a share base cost of about $20. My wife and I are principals in a small LLC restaurant with sales approx 2mil per year. As employees we are paid slightly less that workers so that we lead by example and demonstrate to others that we are not greedy. This is simple, you live and die by perseption. Ours is clean, the Cola,s? One more issue I have stated in my infrequent posts, management, i.e. Mark Cola, as he runs it all, never communicates with specifics leading this board to speculate on why Sigma did this or that. I,m still in Sigma as I await to use my tax loss as an offset later in year. But I do enjoy this Board and appreciate most posts. Thx
GR1, I will give you credit as I honestly knew it was said previously on this board. How bright WE are !
I believe one major determination for G.E. Not pursuing a Sigma buyout is that there is a need for independent product verification. Sigma would provide that but not so if they were bought by G.E. Just a thought.
Victory lap yes, but all the "Buzz" is about the trading in SNAP.
Holy smoke! English interpretation pretty intense. Do not underestimate Mark Cola if he understands all this . Wow, thx W50! Easier ordering egg rolls !
Hey JF, I hit every button to translate Chinese but got nowhere. Can you summarize? Thx, oh, one more thing, I just had a delivery from a local Chinese restaurant !
TedJ, Thank you for the DD. It shows their machines and it appears that they are a contract supplier of parts with deep engineering capability. And yes, they can immediately add printrite. Perhaps then, the Sigma addition of 3 in house machines would serve as an ability to joint produce the parts which may be back ordered . At anyrate, positive speculation for Sigma whereas, in past years we had no such actual income producing partnership.
Let us keep in perspective, to produce the manufacturing of parts in volume, the prospectus claimed that Sigma intends to buy 3 additional 3D printers. We currently have one EOS in plant. Therefore, time is required to get "On Line" with The new equipment before income is produced. It would be interesting for Mr. Cola to state the degree of rev. Currently produced from the one contract machine in current use at the next CC coming soon.
Rolling, rolling, rolling, that is what is developing now with Sigma. With all that is said on this Board over the past 4/5 years, I have NEVER seen more positive Sigma statements than what we are now seeing. It is "Production Time" and with President Trump pushing USA manufacturing, well, this is good stuff.
Simply curious, why don,t we have a share price and volume summary for Sigma? It disappeared during mid-afternoon.
Z, coincidence , I don,t think so ! I hope you are right.
This is the most positive I have felt since I bot in 4+ years ago. Unfortunately, then I amassed 200K of penny stock Sigma. With all the reversing of stock, my number of shares is greatly reduced making it almost impossible to overcome my losses. Still holding and am extremely excited for the contracts coming in but am consistently bothered by the unclear way the Company continues to release info. This unclear manner leads us all to speculate on what our Company is doing.Just my opinion. Lastly, I know I would have bot in at the lower share price but personal economics dictate otherwise. GLTO
Driftin, that is exactly my point, clarity from management. Good for you. I shall write a note , per Alan,s suggestion, and state my hope. Virtually each Cola/Wittey, announcement, has not been specific enough necessitating this stockholder and this Board to greatly speculate. They can do better, allowing us to be more knowledgable. Perhaps !
As I reflect on my long term holdings of Sigma, I find this past week or so to be the best news week since I have owned this stock. Why? Because there was real news about progress and acceptance. My big problem is that Mark Cola made his comments about contracts but , as usual, there were many aspects of his comments that leave this board, and this stockholder, trying to honestly interpret what Mr Cola said. This leaves us all to speculate on $ amount, timeframe for contracts, ability for Sigma to get paid, when to get paid, and several more questions. But, for years we never had such encouraging news and progress. For the moment, stock price be damn, the Sigma management team, now substantial , have this Sigma ship sailing in the right direction. Good luck to all.
Great news! The mention of a contract and actual money is awesome. Been quite a while since last good news of income. Keep on rolling SGLB.
Will do. Ron Fisher too I guess Thx Chef
Jeffx, what makes me think leasing may be an alternative , well several factors. Cola ramped up staff at Sigma for what? anticipated biz is my guess. Several 3D printers have been sold and are in production manufacturing products and I believe that Sigma has "Sold" only a few of their systems. At what we believe a printrite3D system costs approx. $100K. They have sold only a couple. Quarterly reports show very little real sale income. 100k is a significant capital payment for many . Why not attempt leasing as an easy alternative for a company to add q/a to their production. This makes sense whether the industry is mature or not. Look, I share the knowledge of 3D printing only starting to make inroads to manufacturing, and all I am suggesting is that Sigma attempt to help keep the lights on before we shareholders are subjected to further dilution , a source of new revenue is all I suggest. Good luck, Buppy
That is the point. Sigma,s management. Think outside norm. The auto industry has done extremely well via leasing and perhaps Sigma could too. I hope they monitor this Board and see and hear All the great and helpful ideas ! Hope is what we have as long term stockholders !
So much of what you have said over the years Alan has proven accurate. And I do not doubt the extreme financial position you currently present but, if Sigma,s 3Dprintrite "Sells" for around $100k",and it is capable of saving production costs (this I have heard over and over ) then , for companies who wish to utilize 3D manufacturing products with their own purchased machines, it seems to me that for a few thousand a month they could lease Q/A and pay for the Sigma software with the production savings. There were times in my restaurant biz that we could not afford the new refrigeration equipment we wished but by lease/buying we were able to make the move. Maybe/ maybe not for Sigma. Just saying it could produce cash flow till - - !
Capt., Jackie and others, to stay afloat, I strongly support a Sigma approach to leasing their technology till sales become the dominant path. Cash flow Baby helps to pay bills !
Real sales are what we all hope for. But to keep operations going, why not write some leases?
And Jfray, on OUR stockholder finances too !
Over a week ago I wrote a note to Mark Cola suggesting the possibility of leasing Sigma software rather then await sales. The thinking was simple. The auto cos. lease and it was the right way for them when cars were not selling . The American consumer fell in love with leasing and you see it all the time. As for Sigma, cash flow is a HUGE need currently and you could establish a marketing program that allows machine users to offset the fee for monthly leasing from the anticipated savings in product production. Well, so far, no answer. But it does appear to be a window for them or a bridge till real sales kick in. Just trying to protect my 10%of what I have left in my Sigma investment. If I receive any feedback from Sigma I will post.
We know one thing that will make us happy, but , to all, a very healthy New Year as well
Kanya, I hope you are correct ! Regards
Ok, ok Jeffx, I understand the process and as a small biz-man myself, I recognize the great value in reduced costs. But why would our "Partner" G.E. go with production of parts with ( X ) amount of 3D machines and not seemingly use the Sigma PR3D inspection system? One very positive note on my beliefs for 2017, Pres. elect Trump has stated over and over again that he wishes to advance manufacturing back into America. Well, A.M. Factories are a great way to achieve that end
Thank you GR1 for your efforts in writing and attempting to evaluate Sigma,s use of Printrite in the manufacturing world of A M. My recollection, as a multi year stockholder in Sigma,is that G.E.has the ability to establish their own aerospace manufacturing standards. With the multi thousand build in 2016 by GE of leap engines , it appears that they are doing so without Sigma. One of my major reasons of investing in Sigma was their GE relationship. Mark is cautious, I know, but he can be far more specific in explaining the current GE relationship now. Some of his loyal stockholders with very significant losses would love to hear an honest update.
In fairness "Getrich", I for one have not written G, E. off as such, BUT with G.E. operating 4 AM plants producing parts in their factories in the U.S. A.I do not see any revenue or acknowledgement for Sigma Labs. Simply put, how can this be?
After reading the G. E. Certification Quarryman, I would expect if our Sigma Labs were part of this approval process, we would all have a very Merry Christmas. But nothing from Mark Cola, therefore, the lockstep "Tea Leaves" say ! We are not dancing .
I have been a stockholder for over 5 years. Since we saw the climb to .27 cents on the pre- stock reverse split and had bot and sold a few times as my wife and I were trying to get an education fund for our then 5 yr old grandson.we kept buying more than selling and now have a very substantial paper loss as we optimistically believed in the future of Sigma Labs. We truly enjoy reading all the comments and the broad spectrum of opinions ranging from Alan to Silver, but the loss currently is too large and we hold our loss in hopes ! Our fault for being loyal and we take responsibility. But I am motivated to write today as Silver, who I admire for his knowledge and belief, stated earlier that Mark Cola should be "Pissed" at the less than sophisticated investors. I have several thousand in paper loss reasons for being "Pissed" at Mr. Cola for his management style. The exaggeration and speculation by some members of this board are brought about by the lack of communication from the Sigma president. So many of our (Stockholder) questions raised on this board are simple, to the point, and would be easily answered by Cola. Like, why did V.Dave, a co-founder leave, what IS our status with G.E., why the reverse split with no back-up news, how and why the ramp up of employees with no sales improvement? I could go on but this is getting to wordy. Sorry, but to all A Merry Chritmas and Healthy New Year !
Herringaid, good questions, you go guy/girl ! One thing Mark is good at, evading a direct answer so be prepared to follow up. Thx for your efforts
Ok DoIt, it is an assumption about G E and Sigma, but the article states that G E has over 30 machines and has made thousands of leap fuel nozzles and per the financials for Sigma, we see very little income. It would be comforting for shareholders who invested, like I did 5 years ago, to hear from Mark Cola EXACTLY what is Sigma,s status with G E. This, my fellow stockholder, would help us all reduce our assumptions or speculations. Go Sigma
Jeffx, in other words, GE is currently producing parts with 3D printing but are inspecting the final product the old fashion way, by hand or eye? They, General Electric, have stated that they are building the factories of the future now. What I do not understand is why, after partnering with G E., Sigma is not now part of their current manufacturing.
In the article entitled " Expanding Metal 3D printing referenced earlier today, GE is referenced with several machines in use, has produced several thousand parts and yet, Sigma has not sold enough QA software to make a bump on their financial road. This is NOT lockstep Mark. Why isn't Sigma in all the G E machines that are now producing for G E in several new AM factories. WHY?
Herring , give Mark all you got! Your many posts lead me to believe that you have a lot ! Good luck
