I'll call you tomo. Will be on northshore to meet contractor. Hope things have been well for you. I haven't visited here in at least a year, but still follow things through newsfeeds. I started to call Mark (can't recall his alias now) on Friday to see if he's still all-in - I hope he is.
Unfortunately no. I cannot make it.
What's up fellas? Long time, no see. Everyone happy again? Hope the old and faithful hung on.
Sorry if old news. I am out the loop:

SAO TOME (Reuters) - Voters in the tiny Atlantic archipelago of Sao Tome & Principe have re-elected President Fradique de Menezes for a second five-year term, during which the poor nation off Africa's west coast hopes to strike oil.
De Menezes won more than 60 percent of votes in Sunday's poll, seeing off a challenge from Patrice Trovoada, the son of a former president, who won just over 38 percent of votes, electoral commission head Jose Carlos Barreiro told reporters.
The third candidate, businessman Nilo Guimaraes, won less than 1 percent of votes, Barreiro said.
De Menezes has promised more jobs and training for young people through a programme of building if he is re-elected. He has also pledged to create a fund to help the unemployed.
The twin-island state has just 180,000 people, most of them very poor. But they hope the discovery of oil off their shores could change that.
U.S. oil major Chevron said in May it had found oil and gas in its first exploration well in an offshore block shared by Sao Tome and nearby Nigeria, but said it was too early to tell if it was commercially viable.
Profits from the project will be shared with Nigeria, Africa's biggest oil exporter, taking 60 percent and Sao Tome the rest.

OT: I'll probably just close my eyes and use the ole snoz for the last mile or so. I recon if I hit the lake first you'll have something to pull me out. Yes, I will BMOB (bring my own beer).
Now, I just need a babysitter and a yard pass for a few days :)
ot: what's your address again (no, not the email one)...
Art, why does a billionaire (Offer, some say) use shares in his company to pay a settlement of a lawsuit to a bank of which his cousin/uncle (Fobi) sits on the board? Everyone here seemed to know at the time that the "fix was in" on these awards, and most thought that the FAB paying was "palm grease", right?
I think this settlement will be a primary focal point of this investigation. I find it interesting that Fobi was named in the list of documents sought. Ask Balance about my theory about Fobi from 3+ years ago.
I don't think that nut will be too hard to crack, but as you say, I don't think this can fall back on ERHC (the company) - Offer (the man) and Chrome (the company) yes, but not ERHC.
What does that mean for ERHC, if anything? If the CEO used personal shares as bribes to get the deals done, what does that mean for:
1) the CEO
2) his private company that held the shares
3) ERHC
4) the block awards
5) the persons bribed
6) the bank that facilitated the wash
The only 2 things I am concerned with are 3 & 4, and I don't think a successful prosecution of the case can harm either, significantly.
Maestro, c'mon down to Louisiana - I got something crooked to show ya...
OT: Man. I am jealous. My wife was supposed to take the kids there this week, but the trip fell through. I'm hoping we can all head that way in July. Got any plans to return?
Glad to know others are digging into this. As I said earlier, I have not gotten to the bottem of this, but I will. It will take another week or so, as I have very little free time. I had someone research this today and his response was that from what he can tell, this is a Spoofed email.
What does this mean at the end of the day? Probably nothing more than that we have pranksters at work. I've stated all along that I have serious doubts that a CEO of any public company would send emails to individual investors. All I am doing is using what I know to see if this is real or not.
Like I said, I am not alleging that Mark or Art said or did anything improper. I really don't see Joe behind this, but the thought does make me smile.
Whether WB sent these or JS, it doesn't change the amount of oil under our blocks. It just adds to the mystique that is ERHC.
that art's a little too uptight!
right, dad. here's what that shows. i've not yet completed my review, so no jumping to conclusions:

Spec, this has nothing to do with Art and/or Mark. If someone pulls a chair out from under someone, you don't fault the guy on the floor.
for the record, i believe mark's posts are truthful.
art cc'ed his emails to others, then posted on his board. it's pretty easy to spoof a reply when that happens.
sure will...
that does no good. i need original. please forward.
send it to me, mark. prelim results on art's message indicate spoofing, but more to check.
yeh, sure...
RE email. Will post results to board when I get it back.
Balance, that is one of the points in my posts from last night. A "roadshow" is not needed to support our shareprice. There are plenty of big buyers around. If WB has something to show the funds/trusts/large investors/whatever, but not us, I consider that a slap in the face.
How about telling current investors about the business plan and let us buy in on it, before you go tooting off to whomever?
Thanks for your reply. In your opinion, how many million shares would the company have to issue, then sell, at what price, to bring stability? I don't understand how issuing and selling shares raises value, unless the proceeds are to be used for future growth. We haven't heard a thing about plans to grow the company. In fact, we haven't heard a thing, period.
I'm with you on the $2-$3, in fact I think even that's low, but the market in general disagrees, and has never seen it that way. I think we all know that now.
Let's says WB goes on the road and convinces and few funds to buy 20 million shares. Could he convince them to pay $2-$3 for those new shares, when we cannot break buck on the open market?
I'm just not seeing this road show thing...
again, we are not an e&p company. we don't drill. all we are is a deal broker, and as i see it, all our deals have been brokered (very favorably, I might add), for some time to come.
again, imo, a road show is to sell something? what does erhc have to sell and who would be a prospective buyer?
"take a significant stake" - as in buying shares? do we need money? for what? who's shares are they hoping the investment bankers will buy?
what is the gameplan, exactly? we have a full carry everywhere, and $45mill, so what do we need money for?
Mark, what is a "roadshow"? What does ERHC have to show and to whom? I don't really understand what a roadshow is, nor how we would benefit from one.
Can someone fill me in?
done
I have no idea what your post is about, nor why it was a reply to a post of mine.
Would you be willing to send WB's reply email to me? I would like to study it for authenticity. Since you received the reply after letting the board know that you had emailed him, that response could have come from anyone.
I have a really, really hard time that he has time to email individual investors and not post a quick update to the web site.
I'm not suggesting you fabricated the story, but I am suggesting that someone is fooling with you.
Thanks Art, for the reply.
Art, did you let ANYONE else know you had written WB before you got a repsonse back from him?
OT: Good story, Balance. Congrats on the grad, and good luck with the bills.
you must apply the word "cummulative" from the pr.
No, but if a company is established by multiple persons of "questionable" character (and I am NOT saying that's what we have here), one should question the character of the company itself, no?
She not the only one we know who's connected with that firm.
Airline's only plane crashes
24/05/2006 20:13 - (SA)
Sao Tome - The only aircraft owned by Air Sao Tome, a small 12-seater Twin Otter, has crashed into the sea off the island nation with four people aboard, civil aviation and airline officials said on Wednesday.
A pilot nearing the end of his training, a Gabonese instructor and two other people, including a woman whose body has been recovered, were on the plane when it plunged into the Gulf of Guinea on Monday night, an aviation source said.
The three others have been declared missing by authorities in Sao Tome and Principe since the accident, which occurred shortly before 19:00. The aircraft went down less than a kilometre from the coast of the archipelago.
Officials said the cause of the accident remains unknown.

OT: Spec, is it too late for me to ring you for an update?
Maybe Meridian. It likes to type...
Art, how is it possible that the CEO of a company has time to personally respond to many, many emails, but not the time to prepare filings, and not even time to dictate an update that can be posted to the website in less than 60 seconds?
Inquiring minds want to know...
