If Director Gregg Johnson is in attendance at the shareholder meeting ask him why he only owns 2100 shares of VTSI. He needs to be kicked off the board as in my opinion he adds no value and, in fact, hurts the Boards credibility.
Ask Givens why he doesn’t buy shares in the open market?
All these A-wipes were pounding their chests when the stock was $17, now it’s $6. Pathetic.
Yahoo Finance reports institutional ownership at 28% and I don’t believe that number either. Institutional ownership has to be way over 50% and I bet it was pushing 70% when the stock was $17.
No I am not…..and I kick myself about twice a month for not being in. I still might buy some, looks like it should go up a lot more.
Good to see your post. Yes, you have plenty, if you went over 5% it becomes burdensome paperwork-wise.
A little one you might like….GFGSF. Top notch CEO and geologists. They’ve done it before. Lots of good info on Seeking Alpha and 6ix.com. I own 3% of it and keep adding. It will be over $1 in less than 3 years.
That’s the way the NNBR ceo compensation is structured. VirTra BOD is too brain dead to do anything that makes sense.
Any of the long ago posters and shareholders like Teeroy, Lawyerjoe, CoachJim, BillP, Arz, doing any VTSI buying these days? I hope you all are well.
It means they need to be called out in public at the shareholder meeting and be asked about their failure to buy VTSI shares.
It should move more, the company is worth far more than current 22mil market cap.
This will be at 20cents within 2weeks and $1 within 9months. Buckle up.
The CEO and his team should be shamed for not buying shares.
They just had a PR and cc two or three weeks ago. Silly to talk more. Stock is now a very good buy.
Ditto here.
What bugs me the most about Givens (and his pos directors) is his (and the directors) seeming refusal to buy shares. He (and any director) could set up a plan to buy 5000 shares each month and it would automatically happen regardless of his (or their) insider knowledge. …..Maybe I’ll go to the shareholder meeting and push him on this point.
I must be the only one buying. EV now $60mil. Givens needs to buy some shares….or he might lose the company within a month. A hostile buyout at $10 would sail through right now.
Just fun to speculate. I do think insiders need to step up.
Exactly correct.
And the best part is that because of their large land area they could sell off in distinct chunks. Develop Aljo and sell one year from now for $200mil. Then repeat with Muskego and other areas. Could result in $1billion worth of sales over next 5 or 6 years. $4 stock price.
They have THE most credible and talented CEO on the planet.
Great results and more assays within weeks. CEO said they showed the photos because it was material to the company. $20mil market cap, $17mil enterprise value today. Should push $100mil within a month. Hang on for the ride.

Who would have thought 5, 10, 15 years ago that in 2024 one could buy VTSI at $7 (same as 35cents before the 1 for 20split) per share when it had already become a real sustainable growing company with a very good CEO and even brighter future? To long time readers here, the answer to my question is Bill. He has been more right about VirTra than any of us.
At $17, people were trampling each other for VTSI shares that were obviously priced for perfection. Now at $7 VTSI is priced for ho hum low growth, mediocre results…..and no one is buying? I bought more today at 7.18avg.
Incentives are helpful but the sales people need to know how to sell $300k systems to municipalities.
It’s funny, for the first 13 years I owned this stock (2009 to 2023) I was pretty convinced one good sales person could sink or destroy the company (giant orders company couldn’t fill). Now that the company CAN fill any size order quickly, I fear that the company is incapable of hiring great sales people to get those orders.
The sad part is , it is easy to hire the right salesmen, poach the best from Aaon or Trane or maybe even Axon.
Well said
I see it exactly the opposite of you. This guy admitted at the last cc he didn’t turn his attention to the sales org until it was too late. He has fixed operations with the completed ERP system. He also dumped Burlend praise the Lord. The Street cuts him some slack cuz he has done it before.
Once Sales Org is producing he needs to redo the BOD. Get rid of Johnson and others. Slackers and mouth breathers all of them.
Bought more at $7.
I doubled down at 6.68avg today
I agree with you, but…..based again on how Givens describes selling to police depts and municipalities he really doesn’t understand the process. Hopefully one of his hires can explain it to him.
I will never understand why a company like VirTra, selling what they do to who they do, doesn’t walk into Trane or Aaon or maybe even Axon and poach the best salesmen they have.
Me too….and will nibble a bit tomorrow.
6s tomorrow for sure
5s soon very likely
4s soon maybe 50/50 chance
3s no
Total compensation for that job at Amazon is probably about $280k to $300k per year including options. His total comp at VirTra will be higher.
A friend of mine from Seagate applied for a job at Amazon in CA with that same title about 18months ago. Amazon made him an offer and he said no because he is making about $350k at Seagate!
I hope you guys are right but I don’t like his career path. He comes from Amazon where he was a technical lead on software and IT projects. “Technical Lead”?….to CTO? He better be an all star and maybe he is but I doubt it. While he did work with Givens at Bohemia why did he leave? why leave the industry? and now Givens has to give him a CTO title to get him to come to VirTra. Hopefully he is good, hopefully he is independent from Givens, hopefully his compensation is tied to the stock price. Lotta hope required.
Why is this good news?
Bought more this morning.
Bought a few more VTSI shares today. With the big market swoon, there are a ton of good cheap stocks to buy. VTSI gets some of my money cuz they are recession proof.
Any chance you could translate your post into simple English for simple minds like mine? I admit to being too lazy to start googling words. Thnx.
Gregg Johnson needs to be removed from the BOD. In my opinion he is not trustworthy and has dangerous ideas about shareholders, corporate governance, and stock manipulation. I do not like who he seems to associate with and his role in the $18mil cap raise and selection of the 3 participants. I never understood why Ferris gave an ear to a guy like Johnson.
Good point! I’ve said this before too…it is an absolute crime for Axon not to be taking advantage of their elevated share price….their current PS is 14. 1million Axon shares would take out VirTra in a heartbeat. Or they could simply write a $300mil check with cash on hand. Easy peasy!
I felt a little better when he used the word “relationships” since that is what it is all about. I did not like when he talked about the difficulties in selling to police departments and his belief that selling to the feds was easier. It tells me he is familiar and comfortable selling to the feds but selling to LE is something he is not familiar with or comfortable with. I also hated that they only have 10 salesmen in the field and several are newbies. I still stand by what I’ve said for the last decade, that one good salesperson could generate $50mil per year with only one direct report admin support person and the full support of the home corporate office. So that tells me they still don’t know how to sell to LE.
Thanks for posting that. I watched the whole thing. Started strong but started scaring me when he talked about selling to LE. Then scared me more at the end by saying 50mil profit on 200mil revenue. That simply is not possible. I do feel better about Q2 though. And long term they will be ok.
I know. I agree with you. Bob’s career is full of accomplishments, much more stellar than most people. VirTra was/is the pinnacle of that. I simply don’t understand why he doesn’t want to remain on the payroll as a CTO or Visionary or Ambassador. It sort of makes me sick to think about several of those who remain on the BOD who have no business being there. Hopefully Givens can get of them.
I’d have a hard time walking away and saying I succeeded with a 37cent stock price and an EV way below $100mil….and declining sales….and declining cash….sorry, I’ll stop. Although I suppose that makes the best case for why he needs to go away.
And someone still needs to go to jail over how the $18mil cap raise was done. What a terrible chapter that was.
This move is rather shocking to me. Why on Earth does he want out this bad? And why now exactly? My guess is he will not own any shares within a year.
The good thing is now VTSI can trade “naturally”, all the funds that played switcharoo yesterday likely did so at prices agreed to weeks ago.
It was the Russell reconstitution day. Exact same thing happened with all the others added….two others I own HRTG and FSP also traded about 10% of outstanding right at the close in prearranged trades between funds.
