Been a while since i've bothered to check in on this stock. What ever happened to the gas line that was being installed at UJ? Guessing it was just never mentioned again?
Would be great to see this thing reverse again and head up - been a rough few weeks
Seems like a lot of pretty wild claims on both sides of the fence. Does make me wonder, can anyone literally say anything they want on these boards without any accountability? I would be willing to bet neither side has any real hard evidence.
The stuff that is out looks a lot like a poorly managed company, grasping at straws to gain traction. Of course, that's my read, but I don't see anything that is blatantly fraudulent from the company, and I sure as heck don't see anything that would make me believe the company is "going to the moon".
And to be clear: No, obviously photoshopped pictures of a green metal containter does not qualify as fraud - they do not say it's a Rubicon, nor have they ever said a Rubicon exists (which is part of my heartburn actually for longer investment), in fact, they keep saying there isn't one yet. Could easily be an "artists rendition", or some stock photo's with their logo added. I did look at the Bloom Energy photo's, and sure they look similiar, much like Coke and Pepsi look similiar if you photoshop them to a plain green color. Is it a bad sign that they have to photoshop their name on something after this period of time? Oh hell yes. But is it blatant fraud that they did? I doubt it since anyone can plainly see it's photoshopped. Now if they spent a ton of money to photoshop in a really good looking unit into the UJ pictures, and represented that they were up and running, THAT would be fraud.
Just so everyone knows where i'm coming from: My modest hope is that it goes up a little bit, and I can keep trying to grind out some profit from the bounces.
All I want for Christmas is some actual evidence (a picture would be nice) of a Rubicon, even in some stage of construction.
That would sure help me think that this company might at least be trying to create something.
Apparently quite a few people.....
Sooooo, now we just need a few of the manipulators to hop in, and get their folks to buy this up - who invites them? :)
Regardless of how it goes long term, I hope they PR these Mon/Tues of next week and get some bumps going. Maybe give some much needed respite to bag holders, and make some money for folks that spend the time watching this each day.
Tideradio/all -
I realize anything is "possible" since they weren't specific - but i'm reading that as the clean coal would power the Rubicon, so they name the fuel source, not a new idea.
Thoughts?
Of course, if they can't build a 50KW demo, I have some serious concerns about the 650MW unit. :)
As suspected we got that bounce! I bought in some more when they said they moved it, and i'm really glad I did.
I still hold a larger position, but flipped a few shares for some extra spending money along the way. I'm a big fan of doing that when I can to help slowly build up some extra capital for other larger purchases.
NAT moved their earning release to Thursday to keep from the US election "Drowning" out their results - You'd think if the results weren't good, they would release that day and let it be hidden. I'm thinking this is a positive sign that they moved the results, and looking for a good bounce at least on the day of release!
They have a long history of saying they're going to do something, and then you never hear about it again.
None of their PR's state that they actually accomplished anything.
Everyone is waiting on news about the Rubicon that they flat out said would be installed in September, and it never came, then they said they would have timelines within days, and we never heard about it since.
That's just the most recent, and one of the biggest letdowns from them as far as updating investors.
I really really wish I knew how to sell this short, because I would have loved to yesterday.....
Wow, dropping like a rock.
Ran crazy on no news, and drops on news. Fantastic!
Makes me wonder what those big guys knew going into it, to drive the price up, and then dump when news comes out trying to make money on the little guys who decide to buy in now?
Soooooo, the next time we get the super pumpers showing up to take this stock up high for half a day, is there any chance I could get a message the day before? :)
I'd be happy to ride the half day wave also! I was trying last week and yesterday to get in at .0012, and considered .0013 a few times thinking we'd get some fluff news and I could flip it. Well, no news, but I sure wish I got in at that .0014 and sold near the top, would have been a nice bump. But oh well, hopefully I'll get in on the next time.
Have to have some healthy skepticism on when they give timelines for items. We were supposed to have demo deployed about 2 months ago.
That said, I'm watching, and I'd love to see something actually happen here!
Sooooo, no one commenting on the part where they said they are hoping the first unit (The Showcase!) will be done in 2017. Not "Early 2017" or "1st Qtr 2017", just the very vague "2017" which could be up to and including over a year from now!
Also, in May when they announced, they said it would take 90 days.
I'm a big believer that a picture, and an actual working product will make this stock jump, but I don't see this as particularly great news at the moment....
If/when I get back in, it will be when the money settled from the sale, and I can get out at any time. This generally trends down, with jumps up. If I'm not free to sell on the jump that happens every few weeks, I would be stuck. And, since the jumps generally happen at a lower price each time, i'd end up losing.
Which i've done a few times on this stock. Finally started playing it more from a flipping standpoint and saved my ass on it.
I don't see sustained growth here until they have a product AND they start deploying it commercially. And I will hopefully be around when that happens. Until then, it's about flipping it on "good" news and making a little bit here and there.
I know that won't be popular, but it's what i've seen to be true for over a year now.
Soooo,
1. Turns out I was right about giving Neal the 51 preferred shares which gave him the authority to authorize the new shares because he didn't own 50%!
2. I have never gotten more lucky. I thought about that, plus I didn't like the PR yesterday, so I got entirely out of my 2 million shares at .0018 yesterday! That's what I paid for them, so i'm out the $20 I paid in trade commission, but i'm super happy with that!
And, i've flipped a few positions on news and made more than $20 anyway.
I did not know, I was guessing, so it was pure luck, but I'm really happy about that.
Now, the next question is, I still believe this thing could do better over time, just need to figure out when to get back in at some point.
So the 8k for preferred stock. Someone tell me if i'm reading this correctly - they created this preferred stock, convertible to common stock, and gave Neal 51 shares. So, it's essentially worth 51 shares of common stock, or really, not worth much of anything in terms of financial value.
However, this preferred stock has voting rights, and they essentially gave Neal 51% of the voting rights by doing this according to their rough equation below.
This would be significant if (and I don't know if this is true, so perhaps someone can help out?) no preferred stock existed previously. This is because they (being DNRG management) would need to hold 51% of the stock to maintain control of the company and not have someone buy up the stock and take it over. If they were not willing/able to purchase more stock as more stock is authorized/sold, they would run the risk of someone purchasing a larger portion than them and taking over the company. So, this preferred stock is really just a way for him to maintain control of the company, be able to authorize more shares, and not need to continue to purchase to keep a majority of the stock.
Which, could mean continued dilution (bearish interpretation), without them wanting/able to buy more stock themselves!
Of course, the other side (Bullish interpretation) to this would be that they were concerned someone may actually want to take over the company, so they used this to protect themselves. Though I think that's less likely given the environment here.
I really thought they'd at least be able to get the showcase up and running, even if it didn't prove out long term, and that it would prop up the share price for a while.
Professor Jen had shared that he expected it at the end of this month (in an email), but it's not looking good. Either it's just held up by a "gas line" apparently, or Professor Jen was likewise duped as many shareholders have been over and over.
I wish they could just cut the crap and deploy a Rubicon, ANY Rubicon, ANYWHERE. I would sure feel a lot better. It's always a future, hope, desire, talks of, MOU, engaging.
Never a "Here you go, we did something". And that becomes more and more worrisome.
Would love to see the box if they have one there at the UJ. Even if it isn't hooked up, at least they could show the hold up is not because of their product, but because of infrastructure. And, did they not consider the need of a fuel source when they were planning? I get delays, I work on projects where utilities can delay us, they work at their own pace for sure, but they could still provide some concrete news/proof without a gas line.....
I surely hope they do actually get some press release on the Rubicon going here at the end of the month.
On a somewhat related note, is anyone else starting to think that if/when this stock drops huge or goes under that PoohBear will be the first to change and start saying he was shorting the whole time and making a ton of money anyway? :)
I sent the email early last week. Likely he isn't replying. Hopefully because he's busy, or they are about to announce, but concerning none the less given DNRG's track record.
Have to say i'm a little concerned (perhaps an understatement). Professor Jen had been replying to my emails earlier in the month rather promptly, and with seemingly decent information.
My last email to him asked if we were on track for deployment this month, and I have received no response.
Hopefully because he's busy, but I don't have a ton of confidence in the company, so it's pretty troublesome that he's gone silent.
Anyone hear back from anyone recently, or will this go the way of so many announcements where it just kind of turns to silence?
Earlier in the month, I was responded to by Professor Jen. He said end of the month would be the deployment of the showcase.
Don't know if that would have changed by now of course, but it does give me hope as he seems to be far more responsive and real than the company.
That's both awesome, but also a little sad. Wish this thing could gain some traction.
But, at least there's hope here yet I suppose if they can just get the damn Rubicon in place somewhere.
Yeah, today's news wasn't impressive. Another "maybe this person can do something for us" hire that we likely won't hear about again.
One question though - when I emailed, UJ Professor replied that the showcase Rubicon should be deployed by EOM.
From these levels, do we think DNRG is even a good short term play if that comes to fruition?
I would think them showing an actual demo unit would be worth at least half a penny, but I'm just not sure how the market will react to the showcase.
On the one hand - "Holy crap, they actually have a product now!". On the other hand "So what? Still no revenue."
Thoughts?
I surely hope you're right.
How about, Rubicon on site, debt cleared, financing secured, and contracts will be met all in one news release?
Now that would be a good day. Also about as likely as finding definitive proof of a Bigfoot riding a Unicorn to the Loch Ness Monsters house. But, we can still dream!
With no news, i'd much rather have a low volume, no price change (or stay where it's at up a tick) kind of day.
Tired of seeing this go further and further down. Would love to see them actually make it.
Quiet volume, quiet board.
Golden - You keep referring to PPA's for Currentergy, but no PR about them, and i've not heard about them anywhere but in your posts. Is it in the PATT app? I don't have an Iphone, so can't get it. Can you screenshot, or point out where this is coming from?
Would love to see that, i'm less positive on this, but i've been able to average down by flipping shares on the jumps and buying more flip positions.
At this point, i'd be very happy with .005-.01. If we can hit multiple pennies, that would be fantastic, but i'm not sure news of a showcase is going to get it done.
This may just be a flip stock until mid-late 2017 assuming everything goes as planned (and when does that happen!?) and they can deploy an actual revenue producing Rubicon.
Of course, there are other items that i'd like to see also and could change the outlook in a hurry:
1. Groupo Trebol - what the heck ever happened there? I guess it fell through? Would love to see that not be the case.....
2. Financing - wouldn't that be a novel idea?
3. Currentergy - I guess I shouldn't be surprised, but they announced an entire "division" and then silence on this since then. They even claimed to have the technology already ready to go. Soooooooo?
4. How about just one big PR with Rubicon Showcase, Groupo Deal Closed, Financing Inked, and Currentergy has PPA's. Now that would be a lovely early Christmas present. But, I know that's just a dream.
"DNRG Decides they should build SOFC in the future" :)
Not sure how reliable the information is, but they do keep saying they will deploy in 2017. My guess is middle to late 2017 at the earliest of correct, but it may actually come in less than 2-3 years.
Looks like no trades for a while again. Stuck with a big bid at .002
Partially where my head was also...
Anyone think this affects Power Africa in a big way? And, any chance of an impact on Dominovas?
http://www.esi-africa.com/news/power-africa-partners-japan/
While we're talking about crazy crap that will never happen, how about a reverse merger again (for Dominovas) where GE and Dominovas emerge and becomes Dominovas Energy instead of GE!
Haha, but seriously, anyone shoot an email to UJ lately? They are definitely better at responding than Dominovas. Anyone have a timeline for an actual real life (albeit miniature) Rubicon?
Ok, conspiracy theory that is super far fetched, but perhaps possible?
Delphi has the ability to mass produce, they completed their work, and shelved it because there wasn't a market for it yet (I want to say someone received that response from them), so they tell Dominovas to meet some terms or go away.
Dominovas finds AVL to produce the first one and help them get a working model going - after all, it appears Dominovas does almost nothing with the actual fuel cell stacks, they just layer on some technology to make it a "Rubicon".
AVL gets the first one done, which meets the requirements for Power Edison, and now Power Edison will start financing (or perhaps the mythical Graecrest) projects.
Dominovas goes back to Delphi, and says "Ok, kick it into gear, we have financing and agreements" - and Delphi mass produces the bad boys, DNRG slaps their technology on it and a logo, and deploys within a timeline that is acceptable to the PPA's.
I still think they miss the PPA's, but perhaps within the grace or even penalty period, and still makes a ton of money.
It's far fetched, it's drawing a lot of lines that may not even exist, and it depends on a whole ton of things to go well, but I wouldn't say it's 100% impossible?
Just trying to look for the bright side, after all, i'm sitting here on the board, so might as well do something with my time beyond reading about the diluters, crooks, scam, $1.00!!!!, To the moon! claims all day.
ahhh, yeah. He may need to get help. :)
