$400 might come sooner than EOY 18!
He learned his lesson when he tried to predict the timing of approval of the NPRM with the FCC on conference call a few years back. Plus "within days" is pretty specific. If he was not that confident he would have said "by the end of the year".
I don't know why you'd think that. Hearing that the modification agreement will be completed in a matter of days made the whole call worth it.
Is Jay in Sun Valley looking to make a deal or is he somewhere else already working one out?
You think Jay would sell? I'd gladly keep Verizon shares in exchange for my GSAT shares in a 1 for 5 exchange. Sprint, not so much. I'd sell those off and move on. I think the long term revenue potential of GSAT maintaining a partnership is quite large, with a much higher ceiling than a buyout. But after 3 years I'd be lying if I said I would be happy with a lucrative buyout.
Over the last 3 years I've heard the "train is leaving the station" more times than I can count. I think now, finally, the training is leaving the station.
Yeah they've said for a long time they would schedule the call after the FCC concluded their proceeding.
71 million according to Maglan
GSAT has traded this way for a long time. Even more so now with traders jumping in on the news and the big jump.
Long today at $67.23.
I hope with Rooney's filing in the docket the commissioners will realize they will look like (bigger) fools if they do not vote to approve TLPS. This proceeding has dragged on long enough.
New ex parte from Kevin Rooney made my day.
But even the letter was publicly known a few weeks ago. It was only re-posted a few days ago.
Odeon put out a piece saying it's because the last ex parte shows Michael O'Reilly and the FCC are coming to a compromise.
News about Sahm was public as soon as Monday morning. If that was the reason for the bump in pps why did it take over 48 hours to affect the price? This must be something else.
That didn't last long
The facebook group is an excellent source of information. You just have to be careful because it's all mostly positive. So if you want an honest contrarian opinion on something you typically have to look elsewhere.
Ex parte's filed today show Rosenworcel and staff have met with opposing parties SINCE the supposed leaks of her voting no. She hasn't voted yet and the likes of Microsoft and HIA are still trying to sway her. Pai is the only commissioner people are no longer meeting with because he's the only one who's vote is official.
I hope you're right but I have a feeling a lot of shorts have covered/are covering. I think a deal gets worked out and this gets approved. Wheeler will not easily accept the embarrassment of having an item HE circulated get denied.
Care to elaborate?
It is possible that Rosenworcel stated she is a No on the proceeding and it was leaked that way when in reality she is only a No as it is presented and could still vote yes if certain restrictions/limitations are put in place.
Here's hoping this leak on Rosenworcel's vote is false.
Let's not forget Wheeler likely put us on circulation because he had yes votes locked up by the other two dems. Pai's statement does feel like a kick in the nuts though.
Same here
I hope you're right. I'm trying to not get my hopes up of a gigantic spike. I'll be happy to go over $6 with the way this stock has acted.
$20 would be great but I'm trying to stay a little grounded. I think $20 could happen after partnerships are announced. If this thing even hits $10 post approval I'm selling half and buying back when the price settles down.
Won't be much longer! New GSAT ex parte.

Kagan and Ponder both purchased shares recently. Others exercised some stock options. Nice!
Someone in the Facebook page mentioned it but I have not had a chance to really dig into it.
Is anyone here also on the Facebook page or on the yahoo board?
According to Maglan, Markit short interest is over 74 million shares. It was less than 70 million before we were put on circulation.
They definitely will!
I don't think approval will take that long. Maybe by the end of the month, but I realize that's pretty optimistic. I do think the price will decline some between now and approval because the shorts are going to dig in and fight with everything they have to create FUD.
I am waiting for the inevitable counter offensive by the usual (short) suspects before I buy any more. I think we'll have a cheaper entry point soon.
So how long until we have a vote by all the commissioners?
Anyone have a prediction for Jay's comments on TLPS on the call tomorrow? I am hoping for pretty optimistic information. If the call is similar to last where there is a prepared statement and no questions taken on TLPS I'm going to be a little perturbed.
