Hey Wooger, you were right about holding above .36 today...good news. The sad thing is we closed at the low end of the range for the day. No peak at your guesstimate of 39-40 cents. Everybody loves an optimist, but investing requires a measure of realism. It will be interesting to see what tomorrow brings.
I do not know if the "quiet period" is over or not...or if it is relevant. I also do not understand why you label your responses to me as "OT". This does not seem appropriate to me.
What the heck are you talking about? I don't believe I have suggested that I have any inside info from the SEC. I have done nothing but suggest that investors be cautious...what is your problem? Don't attack the messanger.
How convenient...an open ended "quiet period"
koko, all of us who have been long and followed neom for some time know the good reasons for doing so. That is why we are still here. But you cannot ignore the downtrend. High volume on a down day is not good. High volume on an up day is good. Hellooo....does it take a rocket scientist to figure that one?
What an absurdly childish thing to say. This is exactly what concerns me about this board. Is it possible to limit posts to grown-up types?
Dear Success..I'm not trying to be contentious. I'm just stating what I see. The performance of NEOM has been blamed on the "quiet period" a very long time. I understand the funcion of a quiet period. I find it very disconcerting that the stock is taking such a downward trend. It means something. Hopefully when the "quiet period" ends, this will all reverse. Do you know when that will be?
Okay, if you say so. I've heard the "quiet period" excuse used so extensively that it rings hollow. The stock is in a serious downtrend. Sad but true...
Honestly, I can't believe this "quiet period" nonsense. I have not read this board for weeks, although I used to do it all day daily. It just got to be too much. Now, after being away for this long, it seems even more ridiculous. Maybe NEOM has a great story and will pan out someday, but this crap about a quiet period, and the minute by minute predictions, has got to be obviously absurd to anyone with any perspective. In my opinion, there is no quiet period. If there ever was, it's long gone. This stock is in an obvious downtrend. Buyer (or holder) beware.
This is a really stupid conversation. I can't believe that no one on this board knows if they charge the consumer or not. It seems to me that the logic answer would be that they would charge the "advertiser" a fee, but the service would be free to the consumer...a la google, etc.
If they are going to charge consumers, that might be a bit tricky and harder to sell.
Is there someone out there who knows the real answer to this question?
My husband has called the NEOM office in the past (a couple of months ago) and had no problem getting through. Had a nice talk with the person who handles word registry. Maybe they just don't like you Whatthe...
I agree with Surf, the time to buy, if you still believe in the NEOM story, is when others are panicking. That's the question each of you need to ask yourselves...do you believe in their story, their potential and their future success?? If not, the you should sell...in fact, you should never have bought unless it was for trading purposes. We're all (supposidly) grownups here, so there is no excuse for blaming others for any losses you have suffered.
Why do some people have to get so nasty? I know the stress level can be high on days like this, but no excuse to behave badly. Let's show a respect for each other's opinions and chill out. If you're super scared or stressed about the pps, then you should probably get out. You can always buy back later, hopefully at a higher price (for those who choose to stay long).
Have some fun this weekend!
Personally, on a day like this I appreciate the posting of good news, i.e., gradual rise in stock price. Yes, most of us have access to real time quotes, but most of us (hopefully) are not glued to them.
It's not a daily occurance...tick by tick prices are usually only posted during extraordinary trading days.
Are you vying for the title of number one whinner? If you're so scared and nervous about this maybe you should sell so you can relax. If you don't believe in the potential and story of NEOM, you shouldn't be long. If it was so easy to make money investing in penny stocks, we'd all be multi-millionaires.
Take a deep breath, make a decision, and stick with it.
Good luck to all who have the intestinal fortitude to stay long.
Hey Woogie (as in What About Mary?)...
Well, you called it this time! We did close up! Have a good weekend.
Why? Why do you think that? Is this reality based, or just some sort of fantasy? I hope so too, but I hate these kinds of insipid posts. This is what I refer to as mindless pumping, which is never criticized by the board monitors. But anything that in any way smells of negativity is instantly jumped on. That is not fair.
Not a "subtle basher"....Maurine
Looks like you might get your wish... : )
Hi Drmyke,
I apologize if I jumped to conclusions. I saw a post from AirHead today, which was quickly deleted (and rightly so), that confirmed my suspicions about him. He does not belong on this board, as I believe his agenda is to harm investors in NEOM.
I very much appreciate other points of view, including criticisms of NEOM, if they are valid. We all need objective and balanced information.
Please forgive my remarks to you. Maurine
You're as silly the rah rah rah folks. Actually, far worse. Don't people like you know how transparent you are to anyone with any brains?
Yea Wooger!!! Rah Rah Rah Rah!! 2-4-6-8 Who do we appreciate...NEOM NEOM NEOM....yeah! win win win!! go go go!
This is what I was talking about....
Hey JP...I still love you! I hope you understand the point I was trying to make. : )
Thanks for all you do for the rest of us.
By the way, my husband did call and speak with someone at NEOM a few weeks ago about the word registry issue. He was told that specific words (not brand names) would be auctioned off at a later date. There...that's my teeny little bit of DD!!
Wow...this is starting to freak me out. I-Hub members not allowed to talk amongst themselves without being accused of a conspiracy?
I think spending time and energy on NEOM DD is more appropriate than trying to act like private eyes.
That's fine...I agree about AirPocket. I wasn't referring to him. I was referring the attitude towards SnowBlows posts.
By the way, I've been long for a long time...and have read all the posts. I reinterate...I very much appreciate all the DD on this board. It has been a great help to me. I too am very optimistic about the future of NEOM.
That said...I do not believe in blind faith. (Although I really liked that band...lol).
By the way, I totally appreciate the work of the moderators. I'm sure it is a time consuming and sometimes thankless job. DD from all parties is appreciated by me.
This is my last word on the subject for now.
I was not referring to DD. If you are not aware that there is pumping going on on this board, however well intentioned it may be, I am surprised. I'm not saying I don't enjoy reading the overly optimistic posts. They are fun to read...we're all dreaming and hoping for the best. My point is, there should be balance.
I find your tone towards my post disturbing. Is there no room for opinions other than those of the moderators?
By the way, I own 70,000 share at an average of .24. I have not traded this stock at all, and intend to hold for the long term....just in case you were ready to label me a "subtle basher".
I happen to appreciate some reasonable skepticism posted on this board. There is a lot of well intentioned pumping going on, and it's good to hear the concerns as well.
If any doubts or skepticism is overly criticized or ignored, doesn't that make this board the opposite of RB?
I think questions and divergent opinions should be encouraged, or at least tolerated, so long as they are presented in a respectful manner.
What do you make of that??
I watch it sometimes. I sent him a question a few weeks ago, but got no response. I don't think he does "penny stocks". It may be for the best...God knows what he might say!
You've got to be kidding. That was not a bar code. It looked nothing like a bar code. I saw the photo.
OT
Any of ya'll who are interested in surfing/skateboarding should check out the Lords of Dogtown movie which is opening on June 3. My husband plays the Del Mar announcer! He's a legend in his own mind...I mean in the skateboard world! lol
OT Any Jimmy Buffett fans? He pulled into the Bocas Marina in his incredible yacht when I was there last March. Gave a private concert for about 20 of us...a have pics to prove it!
Too much fun...
OT
Hey JP,
Sad to see you leave your post here, but I'm sure KoKo will do a great job.
Seems you're into surfing and the tropics. Have you checked out Panama? I spend a lot of time there. Bocas del Toro is awesome.
Interesting post. I trade with Ameritrade, and have always used "mental" stops. I was not aware that you could not place a stop loss for a BB stock with Ameritrade. Good to know.
What happened in the after hours trading? Did the pps pull back further?
13 is my lucky number, so hopefully tomorrow will be a good day...lol.
Maurine
"I THINK WE SHOULD KEEP IT TO NEOM"
I wholeheartedly agree. Please don't turn this into a rabid political chat room...
Market Maker
A "market maker" is a firm that stands ready to buy and sell a particular stock on a regular and continuous basis at a publicly quoted price. You'll most often hear about market makers in the context of the Nasdaq or other "over the counter" (OTC) markets. Market makers that stand ready to buy and sell stocks listed on an exchange, such as the New York Stock Exchange, are called "third market makers." Many OTC stocks have more than one market-maker.
Market-makers generally must be ready to buy and sell at least 100 shares of a stock they make a market in. As a result, a large order from an investor may have to be filled by a number of market-makers at potentially different prices.
If you base it on how the stock is trading now, I would say around $2.50
Sucess already answered your BSDS and quiet period questions.
MM=market maker
IMO=in my opinion
EOM=end of message
pps=price per share
I take big girls posts as kind of a tongue in check joke..I think she sees it that way too. Hope she's wrong as usual. : )
Success, as for posting more of TS info, I hope you will continue to do so, as it's a big help to all of us. Thank you for all you've contributed.
I think it's a given that the higher volume and higher pps NEOM trades at, the more difficult people with their own agenda's will be attracted to this board. Hope we can continue to be a positive forum in spite of it..
