I wholeheartedly agree with you, Alan. I was involved in another stock (cough, CBIS, cough) where they obviously paid an "expert" to provide a 1-5 year set of price targets. As anyone can see, that hasn't exactly been a smashing success.
I agree with some of the other posters and yourself on this topic - I'm not getting too "hyped up," but in my humble opinion this is a step in the right direction. I also thought that David Cunic's open Conference Call about 1.5 weeks ago was a smashing success.
Patent Pending,
If I prompted this, I humbly apologize. My goal was to aid in your stated goal of stopping the personal attacks.
If I was wrong in the way I formulated my post, again, apologies...
Hellcat
Thanks, dbates - I have a few questions that I would like answered myself, and I'm glad DC is providing this forum. Nothing like getting the answers straight from the horse's mouth, so to speak. Appreciate your being cordial...
Yes, there have been dilutive events in the recent past. I don't think that this is one of them, but that's just my educated opinion. I wouldn't mind seeing that answered as well - perhaps you can send that question in for the conference call and have it answered directly? That would be superior to all of us hurling around speculations, at least IMO.
You may have a point there - I will be patient to a certain point, but eventually, not so much. I'm sure hoping that a nice, consistent revenue stream starts showing up on the books in the relative near term. I'm certainly patient, but far from being a saint.
I am also hoping for some positive PRs by the end of the year. I am not basing any of my decisions on the current share price activity (or shall I say, lack thereof). The dog days of summer in the OTC will soon be coming to an end, and this sector is set to take off, at least in my opinion. I am a patient guy - as the old adage goes, "It takes 6 months to build a Rolls Royce, but only 13 hours to build a Toyota."
Jiminy,
I tend to agree with what you have stated, and I am wondering if the MM is picking off "stop loss" orders and surprising some shareholders. I am avoiding any stops just for that purpose. The last thing I want to do is wake up and find out that my shares were vaporized. This is going to take off in the near future, and I plan on being on board and waving at those that are selling right now.
I couldn't agree more with this post. Right now, this stock is being whipped around as a day trading vehicle. I have performed my due diligence, and this is the real deal, folks. The leadership of this company is solid, and the company will be "hitting on all cylinders" in the very near future.
Question on alleged Equi-Pharm company acquisition. If this happened, isn't there an SEC requirement to file a form 8-K within a reasonable timeframe? I'm opening myself up to bashers, but I am honestly looking for real answers....thanks in advance.
Thanks for your refreshing honesty, Longshot. I have arrived at the same conclusions. Given the scenario where they fabricated a PR, how is that NOT a form of Securities Fraud? I'm starting to become even more concerned than I was before, when I was willing to give the leadership the benefit of the doubt.
Your response is much appreciated, Longshot.
Question: do you think that the company *actually* presented product at Spannabis 2015? If so, why haven't they publicized photos, etc.? I see no products listed anywhere on the entire Internet for sale. Do you think that the PR's that have been officially released are honest?
I am long, and searching for the truth. The input of others that are honest is most appreciated - thanks in advance!!
I have an honest, sincere question that I would like to pose:
There seems to be a LOT of posts about CBIS claiming that this is a scam. Have any of you been investors and lost a lot of $$ as a result of this alleged scam? If so, have you contacted a securities attorney? If not, why not?
This repetitive inside selling by this Chad Johnston irritates the heck out of me personally. I even vocalized this to both the CEO and Investor Relations director when I spoke to them. Their explanation was that his "salary" was mainly in stock, and he needs to cash in on a regular basis to reflect this. I am alright with this if the others would make insider buys to offset this!
Good luck to you as well, McKinley. We are on the same page here - I truly believe that our patience is going to be justly rewarded, and in a big way!

I have experienced a completely different outcome. Call their 1-888-889-0888, and ask your questions. I have, and have gotten answers. I have also personally talked to the CEO and the new Investor Relations head, Derwin Wallace, on the phone one time each, for a sustained period in each case. I am satisfied with the answers that I received. I am just an individual investor with quite a lot of shares, and no, I am not affiliated with the company in any fashion. If anyone would be upset at improprieties, it would be me!
Once again, you make a claim that "no one showed up" to Spannabis from the company, yet you have zero evidence to make that claim. Why do you repeatedly say this, when there are official statements from the company to the contrary?
I'm actually personally surprised that they had that much revenue in the past. The lack of revenue last year doesn't surprise me in the least. This company is poised to move in a positive direction in that regard in the near future, and 2014's numbers should come as basically "no surprise" to anyone. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but I have good faith that the sky is the limit for this stock (especially given the current political climate and groundswell of support for medical MJ), with minimal downside risk. Just my .02.
I read through the 10-K myself, and this share price already basically reflects the contents, given its 52-week high. I'm seeing this as a great buying opportunity at bargain basement prices, especially given the legislation getting pushed through Congress. Once medical cannabis is reduced to Schedule 2 status, the lid is going to blow off this baby like a loose pressure cooker lid, at least in my opinion. This sector is our big chance to make serious coin, IMO, and this company has a solid cadre of scientific professionals to make it a serious contender.
GLTY.
Pardon my ignorance, but I'd like to ask an honest question in hopes that I might clear something up in my head. Why would a dividend payout help this situation? Is it because your position is that it would attract more investors? I don't think you are addressing the past promise of the dividend, are you?
Thanks in advance...
If you believe the CARERS Act could revolutionize cannabis in the United States, contact your senators or representatives and tell them why they should vote yes on the CARERS Act:
Find your representative or call your senator
Call (202) 225-3131 -- House members can be reached through the Capitol switchboard
Write a letter to your Senator using the below language as a guideline:
Dear Senator _______,
I am writing to urge you to support the CARERS Act recently introduced by Senators Gillibrand, Booker, and Paul. This act would revolutionize cannabis in the United States. By removing cannabis as a Schedule I drug, this opens the doors for doctors to prescribe the drug legally and will provide a safeguard for states with medical cannabis systems. Federal restrictions have been an obstacle and it is imperative that we reconcile these differences between federal and state laws in order for the country to move forward. Please support the CARERS Act for your constituents, for medical marijuana patients, and for advocates across the state. Thank you for your time.
This is actually quite common for a very small business that is cash-strapped to do this. For what it is worth, they obviously have employees sitting somewhere, so the fact that they don't have a concentrated staff that is collocated isn't very concerning to me at all at this point.
In my opinion, the sheer fact that reputable scientists are involved in this company alleviates many of the fears about illegalities occurring. And as far as "going dark," this company has filed late in the past. Nobody on Wall Street is expecting any revenue or blowout numbers, so what's to hide anyway?
Actually, it was a brilliant move to ask this question. You will gain more credibility among your fellow posters if you admit that your story was a fabricated one. You didn't have any friends at Spannabis - better cover before your position is weakened further.
Do you have any compelling photographic evidence of your friends' attendance at Spannabis, or is this simply a claim that can't be corroborated?
The company is late in filing its 10K, just like many others might be this time of year. This doesn't equate to "hiding" the financials; it is more likely a by-product of being short handed and spread too thin on the accounting side of the staff.
To tell the truth, I haven't spent much time researching issues pertaining to the 2010 Dividend for somewhat selfish reasons, as I wasn't a shareholder of record at that time. My educated guess is that the company might issue the dividend once a substantial revenue stream is generated, but likely not before that time. Were you around as a stockholder during Dec. 2010?
I have invested so much because I am a fool, and "you can't take it with you."
No, seriously, I have quite a bit of "skin in the game," as you suggested. I have spoken on the phone at length with the CEO and the new Investor Relations guy, Derwin Wallace, and they alleviated my fears. I am basically trying not to look at the PPS day-to-day, as that is pretty rough, but I peek anyway.
I believe in the company, and despite some of the past histories of Dabney, etc., I feel that a cadre of highly regarded scientists bring a lot of credibility to the table. With the recent CARERS Act legislation that has been brought forth, I feel that this company could even be a RIPE buyout candidate. Once Schedule 1 status is removed, I imagine Big Pharma and Big Tobacco and every other sector with deep pockets is going to want to get into this game. Medical Marijuana is the next hot biotech sector, and I'm willing to have patience. I'm also a Cancer survivor, so morally I'd love to see this succeed in addition to the financial reasons.
How about yourself?
With all due respect, how do you know that the company wasn't there for certain? Is it the absence of photographic evidence, or something else? That is a strong accusation to make without actually being certain.
Please don't feel sorry for me. When this stock has an unexpected run for the slightest reason (as it has in the past numerous times over and over), my grandson will be wearing golden diapers.
OK, thanks - it doesn't really surprise me at all.
Really? Where is your reference, if you don't mind?
Interesting, but may I ask why you are posting a news item from 2010?
How can the balance sheet have even affected the stock within the last 3 months? There is no public knowledge of this metric, and this would be only available to insiders.
Also, the stock slides and then runs back up on a recurring basis. I think that the latest slide is due to the absence of any tangible news other than "fluff" PR releases, in my opinion. I would like to see some evidence-based news along with the CARERS Act passage, then this will likely take off big-time.
I personally think that the 10-K will not really affect the PPS much at all. Just about everyone realizes that this company has not been making any profit, and the bar is set pretty darn low. Just my not so humble opinion...
I tend to agree - passage of the CARERS Act bill in Congress should provide a huge catalyst for this stock.
I certainly hope that you are right! What are the reasons for your statement? Thanks in advance...
